Wearing this fragrance right now. It begins as a very astringent coconut on my skin. After about 30 minutes, A creamier coconut with the light backing of vanilla emerges and I am content. :) Even though it's winter, this still feels weather appropriate. I hate fruity coconut scents (like coladas), but thankfully, the fruity notes in this fragrance are nonexistent on my skin. Love, love, love.
This scent only works great in the edt. The scent screams summer and is heavenly on sun kissed skin! Smells like coconut, I give thanks to this scent which single handedly made my husband fall in love with me (he's a surfer). Wish they hadn't discontinued it now I can only get at certain times of the year.
i have the body mist, and i love it!
I tried the body splash and it smells like suntan lotion. The old, expired kind.
This is the classic coconut gone wrong scent. The coconut in here smells like sunblock coconut, not real coconut. If you like sunblock smells you will enjoy this, if not stay away! I prefer the old classic creamy coconut smell. Now that's a good coconut! I admit I prefer candy coconuts to bitter ones so I have that bias working for me.
This is my signature scent. Never gives me a headache and I layer it on (lotion & body splash). I get a nice summer coconut plus vanilla scent from it on my skin. The true test was my mother - EVERYTHING annoys her (scents) but this did not. Everyone at work loves this scent. I wear it all year round, great staying power & reasonably priced - all I need.
This acually smelled good on my mother in law. I prefer the pineapple.
Love it! I love the smell of coconut and Exotic Coconut does not disappoint. Perfect body spray to take along with you on a tropical vacation, or just to wear so you feel like you are on vacation :) Smells delicious
born and raised in the caribbean, I know coconut smells when I smell them. And I love exotic coconut! Superb!! It smells very tropical and what I love about it, is that it smells strong. Me encanta (i love it)!
I've always enjoyed this scent, and I do think it's more of an exotic coconut scent instead of suntan lotion or candy coconut. The actual scent of a coconut is very mild and fresh. This has some depth, and it smells fresh while being sensual. I got it as a gift from a former boyfriend, so it has those good memories for me. I wish they hadn't taken it out of the stores, but it is still online and comes out during sales. This is one of the only scents from them that I actually miss, and I stocked up on the body spray so I can use it over the Summer. If they had added much more, then the coconut would get lost behind fruits/florals/spice. It's a perfect blend in my opinion, and it never smells like plastic on my skin or clothes. I spray it on clothes, towels, and keep it in the fridge on hot days.
This smells like an exotic summer on a beach, all straw hats and drinking out of coconut cups. It's summer in a bottle for sure. I don't smell any fruit, but that is fine with me, I'm happy with smelling like a delicious coconut.
I'm sorry...but I'm going to have to give another negative review. I didn't like Exotic Coconut at all. Nothing about it smelled "exotic" to me (but then again, I just might be hard to please since I come from two exotic islands). BOTH the Creamy Coconut AND Exotic Coconut smell like watered down coconut milk mixed with plastic. = I didn't get any fruit notes in this one. I was actually expecting a slightly spicier, somewhat nutty, coconut and fruits added with a light hand. I got nothing. It was very bland and boring. The sillage was disappointing as well....but then again, I'm glad it didn't last long because I didn't want to wear plastic coconut all day.
This is bliss in a bottle if you like super sweet, tropical type scents. I absolutely adore how sun tan lotions such as Hawaiian Tropic smell and I have since I was a little kid. This, to me, is like a perfected version of that. It hits you with a huge rush of berries and tropical fruits; I definitely pick up on both of those notes! It's almost too sweet until it starts to dry down into a softer, more vanilla scent with (as sushijunkie mentioned) the smell of real coconuts. It's perfect for the beach on a hot sunny day. Just sniffing the bottle made me want to go swimming.
I love Exotic Coconut. It is definitely better than Bath and Body Works' previous Creamy Coconut scent which I found plastick-y and quite nauseating and cloying. Exotic Coconut smells more of "real " coconuts...it reminds me of the beach! Laying on the sand on a lazy summer day, haring the splash of waves against the shore, sun shielded by my wide brimmed beach hat, while i sip on a cool pina colada. Definitely a classic for summer...and even winter! Strangely it works even during the cooler months as it gives a comforting warmth :) Love it!!
