i liked it, very interesting. didn't get the metallic smell on my skin though. for several hours after applying i got a nice fruity smell from the raspberries. just sampled for now, considering getting the full size.
Blood Concept O is a strong leather perfume with metallic notes. I am completely puzzled as to why I do like this one the most out of four Blood Concept scents. This bizarre combination of notes should not work but I find that on my skin this scent is very pleasant and wearable despite its strange qualities. The composition is modern, minimalistic, edgy, empowering and unisex. The leather and metal combination is powerful and direct in this scent. It reminds me of a hard-ass executive in a sleek tailored suite, someone who is confident and not afraid to make tough decisions.
The caraway is an interesting choice for the opening. It is aromatic and spicy layered on the light raspberry note. The leather is obvious and strong right from the start. The metallic note fits the leather note wonderful here. Together they project power and confidence. I do not see much development in this scent. It stays linear and minimalistic. The sillage is pleasant and I like how smooth this scent is on my skin despite its strong character.
Overall score 8.5/10. I definitely recommend to sample before buying as I am absolutely sure that this scent is not for everyone. But I love the way this scent smells on me. It just works with my skin chemistry, perhaps I am blood type O after all (I don’t know my blood type).
Strange fragrance, seems half worked and with mixtures that don't speak to each other. It smells like a hot copper sheet and this smell is mixed with an artifical strawberry juice. There is something medicinal and slightly animalic at the background. Seems kind of amateur, because there is no connexion or progression between the things mixed and it's hard to make the link with the type of blood. They tried to push so hard here that ended being tacky
Interesting... but like another reviewer noted, it made me sick. I felt like I was going to throw up, and I can only hope the scent didn't make others around me feel likewise. I am so glad this was a sample... it is going in the trash!
It is an interesting fragrance, with one big flaw: it physically makes me sick.My nose gets quite a lot of caraway, some leather, and loads of metal. yes, metal. It is a scent of a hospital for me. Cold, claustrophobic, and utterly unpleasant, with all the metal devices lined up in operation theatres. It has a 'wet' feeling to it, something like a humid cellar, mould, wet clay... I am sorry for the comparisons... But this is all I get. You can blame the wrong blood type, and I will wait to test the other ones to see whether they suit me better (and finally, whether the one corresponding to my blood type is going to work).
My personal favorite among the Blood Concepts, and not just because I myself have type O blood. This one to me is the least suggestive of the actual smell of blood - this one is pure concept. I could see Lestat wearing this. I got the leather and raspberries, having known to expect them, but they are blended so perfectly that neither stands out. This is vaguely churchey smelling, but in a good way.
This scent is neither cloying nor too understated, and I could still smell it after washing my hands. Of the four, this is the one I'd most likely invest in a full bottle of.
Modern Primitive. This is my "favorite" of the whole line. An uncompromising concoction of rough animalic leather, birch tar and spices juxtaposed to a fruity/woody accord. It should represents the origin of life when men used to be predators. Smells industrial and urban but at the same time very primitive. Smoky, intense, earthy and definitely bizarre. The strawberry note morph into something vaguely familiar recalling a sort of sweet rose while the usual metallic note (what they call the "blood accord") is perfectly blended together with the other elements to feel pleasantly integrated.
Overall "O" may appeal to anyone who's into challenging fragrances a-la CDG's Synthetic Serie or Tauer's Lonestar Memories (but nowhere close to either though). It's somehow familiar but the first time you smell it it's definitely astonishing, like something you've ever known but you never realized to know.
In the end I rank the whole Blood Concept line among the artistic/conceptual fragrances. Something that you can wear every once in a while just like one of those sculpture hats by Stephen Jones. More of an "object" than a proper body fragrance.
When it comes to "weird but wearable" there's nothing like CDG.

oh my! i love this idea. notes looks nice, bottle is excellent. now I have to find it, use it and wait for my personal frag addicted little vampire :)
Ooh, the notes sound delectable! Leather and raspberry! Yummmm!!!
Interestingly, the other three Blood compositions did not strike me as attractive at all, and I'm type O. This whole fragrance-by-bloodtype thing must be really working then, eh?
Gotta find me a bottle :)
