Fantasy Britney Spears for women

I finally got this little gem. I bought it for gifts before but I thought I should own one as well. It's almost a must have. The reason why I held of so long is because of Britteney spears and the whole celeberty perfume thing is not my thing. Anyone of them I avoid buying even if I love then. Lady gaga , Sarah Jessica Parker. God help me I wouldn't want to tell people that I have a celebrity scent on and say its name lol,,, will wreck the frag for me. If someone would ask me what is m wearing I would just say FANTASY and hope to god they know little about perfumes ;) indeed this is the first celeb perfume I bought. I was close to Sarah Jessica Parker s once. Smells very good indeed !
I did hear Fantasy is not being made any more??? Anyone?

Ok I have to Admit its young and certainly not a classy scent. It's playfull and sweet. I have a weakness for yummy sweet gourmands :) I don't love the opening notes so much. It's too hmm fruity , fruits that I do t like. But then it gets really gorgeous yummy in the middle and dry down. I absolutely adore it then. Sweet cake white frosting white chocolate gourmand smell. Again the opening is a little too young for me and generic to those young scents. But then it gets fantastic! Hope this isn't discontinued as I keep hearing.... It's too

My first perfume from Britney blind buy and i love it!

As a huge Britney's fan in my teen days i've always wanted to try out her perfumes, as i am big gourmand vanilla fruity sweet smelling perfumes lover, her perfumes sounded like real yummy paradise to me + i love to collect cute bottles <3

Let's start with packaging, beautiful box and gorgeous neon pink pearl shiny bottle with rhinestones, i wish that i get the chance to had it when first time came out it was more fancy with swarovski crystals, but this one is really beautiful too!

I read below that few people mentioned that smell like cotton candy or bubble gum!? Believe me as a huge cotton candy lover this don't have anything to do with cotton candy - use Aquolina's "Pink Sugar" for that, this one reminds me on her another perfume it's more like "Pink Sugar Sensual" i must to agree with other people who voted

You will get what is shown here at first i get fruity scent of kiwi and litchy then started to transform into beautiful sweetness of white chocolate and something more - cupcakes i guess and in the end beautiful soft vanilla like musky balmy scent, even don't have vanilla reminds me on that

Now this sweety is real sweet BOMB! be careful if you not use to to strong sweet perfumes, it is heavy and VERY long lasting which is rare for celebrity perfumes, i can smell it on clothes and after 2 days

i am +25 and i agree that everybody should wear what they likes till the rest of life, not what othe people say, i will always be young at heart and will wear sweet bubbly fruity perfumes because i like and makes me happy <3

I need to be in a mood for this one, it's not something I wear every day or something that would be my signature scent. But when I'm in a mood for it, I enjoy it, I really do.
I'm 30 and I don't feel bad wearing it, it's just like with Pink Sugar - it's sweet and fun.
Lasting power is amazing, and I can smell it on myself all day.
Fragrance itself doesn't change much - at first I can smell something sourish - probably kiwi, then the sweetness comes and that pretty much lasts. I'm not so sure I can smell cupcake or anything else - it's just chocolate and a bit of kiwi (maybe a tiny bit of lichi). In fact it is so sweet that it can give you diabetes ;)

It's one of my everyday fragrances, something to cheer me up, something to brighten up my day at work. I really don't care what people think of it, or me wearing this perfume - I like it and that is what matters.

It's a perfume.. you either like it or not. Doesn't mean you have to be young to enjoy this scent. im 23 with other 40 perfumes in my collection, and I rank it my second favourite under midnight fantasy. My favourite perfumes are sweet, candy and fruity ones. Liking sweet scents doesn't make you kiddish. It makes you young at heart :) I hope your not as fussy with your bog spray..

And may I add, I wasnt a child when i liked this, i discovered it last year and instantly fell in love. Im sure millions of people who adore and buy this perfume share my opinion, i feel like every girl has a bottle, like a little black dress :) if everyone who owns this perfume sprayed themselves at the same time, Im certain we'd have a sugary, sweet smelling pink pefume cloud all over the world. Please dont ever discontinue it Britney!!

Disclaimer: *I know that many young girls wore this as their first perfume, and I understand their sentimentality, and that it smells comforting to them. I absolutely don't think there is anything wrong in feeling emotionally attached to this perfume, and I know that they feel like Fantasy is more than just a marketing ploy. My review below is an an honest of description of my own opinions, and not a judgment on the lovely girls and beautiful women, young or old, who love and enjoy wearing this fragrance. *

"Fantasy" was conceived by a group of well-heeled corporate types, seated around a table in a board room, probably talking in drones, with plenty of statistical graphs on display in their power-point presentations. It was then carried out through a process that included marketing research with such a big budget your eyes would water reading the zeros in the amount. Countless focus groups and surveys. There were no fairies, angels or great artists involved in making this product, sorry.

"Fantasy" doesn't smell like hairspray, or body lotion. It doesn't smell like a scented child's doll, or expensive perfume.

There is a note of kiwi in the opening that smells fresh to me, but it lasts a mere ten minutes. Then that's it for "fresh". The jasmine note is not beautiful, it seems like it's only there to suggest that "Fantasy" is a perfume and not a drink mix. What a shameful thing to do to one of the most inspiring, powerful and poetic flowers in nature and in parfumerie - reducing it to a mere function. I doubt the jasmine note in "Fantasy" is derived from the real flower, though, in the first place.

Did the marketing team who strategized this product into being spend more effort on the ad campaign, fragrance name and packaging than anyone did on the scent? Did anyone spend the kind of effort that satisfies the soul?

I agree with Raw Umber; once you read the word "Vomit" in Assiduosity's review - you can't ever unread it. No matter the likable impression this fragrance may leave on so many people, the truth is that it's rather muddy and messy, even despite the prominent "clean musk" note. It's kind of like the scent of Cool Ranch Doritos (vintage, pre-reformulation) - you like it, mmmmm you know you're going to eat it, you figure it smells "Ranch-y", but there's an aspect to it that I can only describe as gloppy. Glomming, gloppy, globby.

My dad is a retired executive for one of the biggest corporations in the world, a snack food company, and he is not always proud of his company for the adverse affects their products have had on the health of the population. Snack food is marketing, and that's all. "Fantasy" is the Doritos of the perfume world. No, more like the Big Mac. Food, though, unlike perfume, is a necessity, and in today's world it sometimes feels like your best option might be fast food (like when you're on the road, starving, with a low budget). On the other hand, perfume is still widely considered as aromatherapy, and as a symbol of luxury. We don't need it, but we choose to use it. So, I use perfume to feel better. Yes, the first ten minutes of this fragrance is still better than the scent of a harshly cleaned aisle in a musty old drugstore, or the gym locker room, but much like the handful of chips you reach for when you're starving - the satisfaction you feel is sort of shaky at best.

We can treat ourselves better.

I really like the fantasy perfume, but it really gives me a headache even If I spray lightly with it. There is a note in this that just makes my head pound. I really love the sweet smell of baked goods in this but maybe its the orris note I don't like? I get compliments with this when I can stand to wear this. I think fancy by jessica is alot more easy to wear because it settles down really nicely. Don't get me wrong I love fantasy and it's always in my collection but most times I just can't do it because it makes my head hurt. This last all day long too so that is a plus! You can spend 57 bucks on this vs 120 dollars for chanel and get more compliments on this than that. or at least that is the case with me. I would say a spray would last you up t 6 hours on the skin and on fabric it will last for days if not even weeks

way too sweet - like.. headache booming, toothache sweet..VERY HEAVY. when i was in high school, all the girls wore it. its all i smelled. honestly, i cant stand it!! but if your into the food smelling scents.. go ahead lol

I blind bought this, really wanting to like it. I decided to ignore Assiduosity's warning that it smelled like teenage wine cooler vomit that he wouldn't scent his garbage with (or something to that effect) and went ahead and sprayed it twice on my arms for the last leg of my walk home.

Now, don't get me wrong. I don't dislike celebrity fragrances in general, and I am very fond of and own Viva la Juicy and Pink Sugar. So clearly, I am not one to write this off for the obvious reasons.

After it took its time to dry down, I smelled deeply into in, and despite its pretty CGI fruitiness on the inhale, ...on the exhale, I could not deny to myself that I was detecting a distinct trace of alcohol-soaked vomit.
...Really!

I attended a college which prided itself in its party-hard night life, and consequently, I was all too familiar with the scent of this floating down my dormitory hallway.

"Not AGAIN!!" I would cry out loud while throwing my window open as the smell crept up on my room. Nostalgic as it is to smell this fragrance, I was really hoping for a CGI white chocolate and fruit.

No matter how hard I push my will and imagination, my nose cannot ignore this rancid element. Also, it's exceptionally amazing longevity stressed me out immensely, as I could not get it off of my skin, even after washing my arms twice with dish detergent, and then showering. The next day, it was nearly as present as when I first applied it.

I thought Assiduousity was being hyperbolic with this one, but alas, his review was spot-on.

I dont know why some people said this perfume make them headache. this perfume really amazing, today I try to sniff this perfume at store. what I said... whoaa really delicious. I already fall in love^^ wish I will get this perfume later^^

I got this as a present and when I first tried it, I sprayed a little too eagerly that later it gives me headaches. That's when I decided that I did not like it and keep it away in its box. Not until months later when I'm out of fragrance that I retrieve it again thinking, "it's better than nothing!". Only this time I sprayed it modestly. That's when I am able to appreciate this fragrance and now, I'm liking it!

I have to come back and update on this. I thought that I didn't like Fantasy anymore..but that is because the one I got from ebay was fake! No wonder I hated it! And I didn't understand because I always loved Fantasy! I just thought they reformulated it. Well, I went to the store and tried it a few more times. and I fell in love all over again. I rediscovered that sweet,alluring, cupcake smell I used to love. And I ll do love it. The best thing about Fantasy is that it's a delicious, sexy perfume for a great price, with amazing longevity and sillage. It really is the strongest perfume I own besides Chopard Wish. It's hard to believe as it is a celeb fragrance, but this stuff is potent! I love Britney's fragrances-yes, I am guilty. And I do hate telling ppl what I am wearing when they ask..but hey, if it's good enough to have ppl asking what it is EVERYDAY, then it HAS to be good! I am torn In love between Fantasy and In Control Curious. If only In Control Curious had the longevity and sillage of Fantasy...If it did, it would be my fave perfume hands down! But for now, Fantasy is the sillage monster and that means a lot to me in a fragrance. So, I purchased a new, REAL bottle and will be wearing this all the time!! Amazingly beautiful perfume... And men love it!

Always kind of wanted it because I like the smell. But I don't like celeb perfumes. I wouldn't want to say is m wearing Britteny or lady gaga or what have you. I may have to just break down and buy it as it really is a yummy scent. Sweet cotton candy cupcake type of smell. Not classy or stunning but just plain yummy!!!

I love this perfume! Its the best in the line. Im out of it right now but I plan on buying another bottle sometime. I will wear this all year because I love sweet sugary perfumes and this is perfect! Im 22 yrs old and I love this stuff :)

This is lovely, even on a summer day. I agree with the person who recommends applying with a light touch. I had a bit of fruit in the beginning, but now it's sweet and creamy...like a gourmet litchi cupcake with white chocolate frosting and a kiwi on top.

While it's playful, I find it too sensual to be appropriate for young girls. Sweet but "not that innocent."

Beyond that, I don't think this perfume has an age limit.

For me, it will be more of a date night/special occasion fragrance. After all, gourmet cupcakes aren't for daily consumption, either - but wow, what a treat.

I have Fantasy 15ml for swap just message me!!! I've realized now that I loved this fragrance because it's well-made, a gourmand cupcake floral, but I don't love it on myself, it is too sweet for me.

A few days ago i arrived at my house bathed in perfume, my mom said it's siome avon fragrance or you smell like patchouli.I was wearing Fantasy by IKKS, which smells JUST like this, a bit softer.but my mom told me she couldn't smell the scent.... i'll break her precious bottle of white linen if she insults fantasy anymore.My sister wore it in her teen years and now says it ''smells like a slut'' ''smells like avon'' ''smells like cotton candy'', amnyways fantasy will always be one of my all time favs.

This is the first time I have purchased this fragrance and as I was waiting for it to arrive I was disappointed to see that some of the reviews below have stated it seems to have been reformulated and you can no longer smell the cupcake or vanilla as I wanted a sweet candy-like scent, but I am not sure what it was like before if people think it isn't as sweet anymore. When I first spray it I get the Kiwi and Litchi notes very strongly, but after a minute the main scent is something like vanilla and white chocolate. I can still smell the fruity notes to some extent, but the main smell really is the white chocolate and cupcake. I absolutely love it, I think it also smells a little like candyfloss. It's definitely quite strong, I can smell it when I am moving around and it seems to cling to fabrics a lot as my jumper still smells strongly of it the day after I used it. It's quite a childish scent in a way as it smells like you would expect the sugarplum fairy to smell but I think it's fun and it isn't overpowering. I had been looking for a strong perfume that really lasts, and this is definitely the one.

In regards to the speculations about reformulation - I think the secret is to go easy with the sprays. This is a sillage bomb and has INCREDIBLE lasting power. If you spray yourself 10 times, the top notes will linger on you for a long time and thus the illusion that this is much fruitier than used to be.

If you spray, say 4 times in different places, you give this a chance to develop into sugary sweetness that it is and it's still the same scent :) that's what I find anyway.

Smelling this is like coming home from a bad day at school/work and snuggling in my PJ's, It's such a comforting scent to me. Probably because it's been in my life for so many years. Whether it's because I'm wearing it or a friends wearing it or even just a stranger in the street that's wearing it. It's instantly recognisable, I was in a charity rock gig a few months back and a girl walked past me and I instantly said "that girls wearing Fantasy" I looked around to see my friends nodding in agreement.

One of my college tutor's hated this scent and used to scream at us for wearing it. Of course If she was even more horrible than usual a bunch of us would wear it the next day. Childcare students can be cruel that way ;-)

I bought my newest bottle about 3 years ago and I'm about halfway through. I hope they haven't reformulated it but If they have I'll have to use this one sparingly.

The lasting power is amazing and so is the sillage. I have no shame in admitting that it's a staple in my collection. I don't wear it often anymore but I like to keep it around for when I need a pick me up or I want reminisce.

Why the new Fantasy bottles don't have the Green Swarovski crystal on the collar? Wikipedia said that In 2008, the collar began being produced without the Swarovski Crystals. The believed reasoning behind this is because the glue of the crystal top would melt in higher temperatures, which many buyers realized a considerable time after purchase.

The newest bottles don't have the green stones.. I miss them..

Is it reformulated??? Because i have one bottle that has green stones right under the spray thing, and the other bottle does not have it. Or is one of them a tester?

i agree with the reformulation speculations. few years ago it was such a beautiful strong sweet scent and now the kiwi notes and fruits are much more prominent which is a bummer for me, i'm looking for something like the old fantasy

I believe it must have been reformulated. Back in the past, two hours into wearing this, the most intoxicating creamy birthday cake came out,it blew your mind it was so delicious.

I actually still love this to death, I just feel it's a lighter version than before.

remember when my friend bought this, back when it just launched. always felt like it smelled terribly of frying grease, haha! but it's probably just me who feels this way, everybody else are talking about some girlish sweetness that i just don't detect at all

It is a sweet fragrance that is good to be used on cold days.

Well, back in the day, my sister used to wear this- She got this for one xmas, and I got the original Paris Hilton. was a longg time ago. I liked Paris, but I secretly would of rather had my sister's bottle! I would even sneak spray it every now and then ;) She quit wearing it long ago-and I forgot all about it. So, I decided to finally buy my own bottle. I remember it being so white chocolately, cupcake sweet--with muskyness and woods as well. but the main thing I loved was its sweetness-it was so charming on me; it just seemed to go so nicely on my skin. But now? I don't get white chocolate or cupcake at all anymore from fantasy. All I get is a heavy kiwi/musk..and as it dries, the orris root kicks in. But I can't believe how strong the kiwi is this time around. it smells completely different than it used to. It used to start out with the kiwi, but dried down to a very sweet, creamy white chocolately musk. What happened? Has it been reformulated? I am very disappointed with this. I don't even like it anymore really. I can't believe my tastes have changed that much!? What a bummer.

What can I say about this fume, it was ( as far as I remember) the original that sparked off a tirade of sweet perfumes from the celebrity lines. However, I think this one is perhaps the original and best. I hadn't been into sweet perfumes at all until recently, now when I need my sweet perfume fix I go straight for this. I can see how this may be dismissed by some as sweet, sickly and childish but I think these people should give it another chance, the underlying quality is excellent and on me it lasts and lasts, you may just grow to love it like I did. This is one of only two perfumes in my collection that will last all day on me and not need to be reapplied and that is saying something as on me perfumes disappear really quickly!!!.

On initial blast I can definitely pick up the Kiwi note, this is layered on top of a strong, sweet musk which I find utterly delightful!! I'm definitely picking up white chocolate, cupcakes and woodsy notes along with the heavy musk. I never do get any florals or the other notes listed. I find this happens a lot on me, perfumes tend to go straight from top note to dry down and I seem to bring out musky notes predominately in my perfumes. After about 2 hours the Kiwi is gone and I'm in the long drawn out dry down, which is perfectly fine with me!

I must say I really have to be in the mood for something sweet to be able to wear this, but when I am it's heavenly!! Fantastic silage and longevity, and an all round quality scent! Well done Britney team!

First time i sniffed Fantasy i really liked it. I wanted it so bad but never bought it. And thats was good cause YUCK NOW i hate it. Smeels like burned cake or something. Nothing fruity, too heavy.

I am really sorry but i tried this in the airport after hearing how popular it it is and for me it's very strong sickly cheap honey smelling and very overpowering.

I LOVE this perfume but, It does not smell like Cotton Candy OR Bubblegum. It smells like Kiwi, Cupcakes, White Chocolate, Woody Notes, and Musk.

I gave this perfume a good review right after I started wearing it, however, after wearing it a few times I started to notice a "Bazooka Joe" bubblegum kind of scent from this! Kind of feels a little juvenile to me now. I feel like a little 12 year old chewing wads of bubblegum, lol. I may give this to my younger neice.

I was able to secure a full-sized bottle of this from TJ Maxx, and I'm soooo happy! I love the vanilla in it this and the scent stays with you even with just a few sprays. I have been wanting this for a long time, but was waiting to catch it on sale. So glad I treated myself to this and I'm loving it!

The name alone put me off, being a bit sneery of celeb scents. Let alone the bottle. The thing is hideous and looks like it was designed by a five year old traveller. The box is a triumph of ugliness. However, the actual frag? Fabulous! It's like eating the whole dessert trolley! White chocolate! Cakes! Fruit, flowers, and joy! A vanilla that smells nice and vanillery on me and not like play-doh! It starts out perhaps a smidge chemical at first spray but it gets warm and lovely very quickly and continues smelling better and better and more expensive. Just decant it into something a bit less embarrassing.

I bought this perfume because although it is a celebrity pefume, almost every single female on the internet and even jurnalist claimed that this perfume was a best seller and worth your money. I bought a little bottle over the internet where they charged me 20 dollars for a .33 ounce -_-. I tried and! Its whatever, it smells like cotton candy soda to me. The great thing about it is that it doesnt smell awfull. If you want to try a Britney perfume, but her midnight fantasy or circus fantasy. Those smell addicting I wish I would have bought one of those instead

Part of what fascinates me about perfumes are how unique they are for each person. There must be a tremendous amount of complex phenomenon going on when you spray a scent. Who knows what kind of molecules are at work. I read about the smells in this scent and attempted to have the experience of warm cupcake goodness.....but on my skin it smelled terrible. It turned into a head ache sugar hang over. Like some one dosed me in cotton candy and rolled me in powdered sugar. I can only wear earthy spicey smells with dark notes, pretty much the opposite of this. I cant even imagine being able to wear this. I can only do heavy smells, so this didnt work for me at all. too sweet.

smells like candy this is for girls not women if a woman age 25 plus yrs had this on I would most likely dodge her just because this is for younger girls the scent just smells like CANDY! It does smells kinda good but I prefer Believe by BS that smells good!

A friend of mine wore this perfume and it smelled so good on her. Since I already had Midnight Fantasy I thought it was a good idea purchasing Fantasy too, plus I just wanted it in my collection. When I got it in the mail I couldn't stand the smell at first. I actually would feel like throwing up just smelling at it. I was so disappointed... time went by and something happened because all of the sudden I started liking it and today I'm glad to say that it's one of my favorite perfumes! It's really sweet and heavy (in a positive way) and it smells DELICIOUS. It lasts all day and I always find myself sniffing my wrist all through the day when I wear it. I love it.

I honestly LOVE this perfume. I have tried all of Britney's perfumes and this is my absolute favourite. I love sweet scents. This reminds me alot of cotton candy and i get tonnes of compliments. Very fun and girly. Every time i get a new bottle its like ive stept into heaven over and over again.

A LOT like pink sugar sensual but this has strong white chocolate note. i love it because i love chocolate.. LOL

This is the first sweet perfume what I really adore! I am wondered how in one perfume so good can be merged something sweet and fresh. Everything are so good balanced!!!! So tasty, sweet and warm and kiwi is so friendly with chocolate! :))
And I think that this perfume is good for using all year round!

The sophistication of this fragrance is not so much in its opening notes of sweetened cocoa butter ("white chocolate"), fruit and vanilla cake, but it's there and becomes evident as the fragrance dries down -- when, to my nose, the floral notes, musk, orris root and woody notes because quite obvious.

Orris root, in particular, is used in many high end fragrances. This is a note of the roots of the iris, it is not sweet or bakery in any way; it smells like what it says ... i.e. plant roots, and sometimes like roots and soil.

When I first saw it listed among the other notes, I felt it was totally out of place and that it probably ruins the gourmand quality of the fragrance; but, to me, it really doesn't, since it isn't noticeable until most of the sweetness has faded, anyway, and then what lingers is a more nuanced scent that I can also enjoy.

A few years ago I stumbled upon this fragrance, the fragrance that started my love affair with gourmand scents. I never thought that I would ever purchase a celeb scent, but it was just too yummy to pass up. See, where I live, foody scents aren't too popular, especially a few years ago, and celeb scents are usually the ones that get left behind on the shelves collecting dust (hence they end up getting sold for really cheap), people here mostly wear Dior, Guerlain, Givenchy, D&G, the big brands, even the 15 year old girls are drenched in fragrances like Ange ou Demon, J'Adore and Crystal Noir. So Fantasy was my signature for a while (at the ripe age of 24, yes), it has garnered plenty of compliments, admirers, people wanting to know what is that 'strange but wonderful' scent I'm wearing, the men would beg me to tell them the name of my fragrance and where I bought it from, just so they could get it for their wives. Nowadays I have gotten really bored of it. Upon discovering Midnight Fantasy I fell in love for the 2nd time, I've set aside Fantasy, now I find the kiwi note abit too sour and cloying. And I'm starting to notice that peppery note that I had been oblivious to all this time. Yes, I do love it once it dries down to creamy white chocolate and orchids though...but I now can't stand wearing it any other time but fall/winter. It makes my stomach turn to smell Fantasy on someone when it's warm, it brings out a certain stale sour note that I can't really describe, just stomach-turning! I once smelled it on a girl at an airport on a very warm summer night, and it made me want to dash to the bathroom and hurl! So please do not attempt to wear this scent in warm weather!!

It's very teen-ish. Not sophisticated. Very sweet. Nothing too interesting about it.

Icing, sugar, cotton candy, white chocolate....makes me hungry. This to me is a very juvenile preteen sort of sent,(maybe because this came out when I was in middle school and every girl smelled like this, so i just associate this fragrance with youth.) But i find i cant wear this without getting a headache from the over powering sweetness. smells wonderful on some other women soft and light but on me its just a harsh sugar rush.

mmmmmmm white chocolate :) that's pretty much all I get. Smells a bit girly but I like it. One of my female neighbors has it and the elevator always smells like this in the morning. :D

This is genuinely one of my favorite perfumes of all time. I first purchased this fragrance in high school, and almost half a decade later, I've still not tired of Britney's Fantasy. This is an incredible perfume, it's multi-layered, long lasting (7+ hours on me), rich, and easy to wear year round. My nose initially picks up the white chocolate, before blending with notes of cupcake, kiwi, and litchi. Together they combine to create a sweet, sexy, almost milky tropical scent that is absolutely delicious. Many of the notes used in Fantasy have a tendency to become overbearing, or give off that syrupy smell a lot of us dislike in gourmand scents, but Fantasy is just rich. And that's the only way I can describe it. This doesn't smell like your typical run of the mill Victoria's -Secret-juice-masquerading-as-a-celebrity-brand-fragrance, its very well crated and worth the money. I was disappointed when Macy's discontinued carrying this perfume, but was thrilled to still find bottles at Marshalls (and for half the price!)
This is one of those perfumes I'll re-buy for a long time. Say what you want about Britney's fragrances now, but her first few were incredibly on point and well made.

I got this for my 8 year old daughter and love the way she smells. I have used it myself and liked it but I have never received any compliments. As a matter of fact I have received negative comments that it smells bad on me.

This is definitely the Queen Bee of the celebrity fragrances-the Regina George of the perfume world and a real trend setter amongst the newer scents...I feel that a lot of noses are trying to re-create the success of Fantasy in a lot of new fragrances. This, along with fragrances such as Marc Jacobs Daisy should definitely be classed as modern classics. This is one of the sweetest fragrances I have come across and sums up the gourmand genre perfectly. It starts off very bright and sweet with the kiwi fruits, and soon dries down to a powdery baked goods smell. This is also a long laster...although like a few other people have pointed out, I feel like this has been reformulated somehow these last few years into a weaker concoction, although still very powerful. Recognisable everywhere, and probably on every teenage girls dresser...but still incredibly charming, unique and groundbreaking.

This is one of the best perfumes I have ever smelled! I love it. It is so versatile.. you could wear it in any season, day or night, young or old. The sillage is fantastic on me too and so is the longevity. If you spray it in the after noon or early evening, and then go to bed later that night, you wake up in the morning still smelling like fantasy. My husband loves this sweet scent on me as well, which is a plus. I say go for it, who cares if it's by Britney Spears, it is a beautiful fun fragrance at a great price, plus the bottle is cute too.

Fantasy Perfume has a pretty bottle-I must give it that! Launched in 2005, this is a favorite for many teenage girls I know. One of the most interesting top notes in this fragrance is called "Exotic Kiwi".

AMEN deekay ... some people go to extremes when explaining why they don't like a perfume. To each their own. If you like something wear it. If you don't like something, don't wear it. Doesn't matter the brand, name, etc etc etc ... Wear what you love! Love what you wear!

Someone I work with wears this one, and I was motivated to try it as it smelled sweet and peppery on her, on me, similar but a huge burnt sugar note puts me off it at the end of the day I'm afraid.

I get it, I really do. I have the same internal battle most people have on this one. It's a celeb fragrance, It's a teeny bopper perfume, I'm not a Britney Spears fan....all of it. That being said, this is one of those things you just can't explain. Is it on par with designer houses? of course not and sometimes it does smell cheap to me, but I think that's because I know what it is. With all that said, I really like it. I like it out of the bottle more then on my skin though because when its sprayed into the air I get the cupcake and white chocolate but on my skin I think I can really only smell the kiwi. It also seems to disappear pretty fast on me. It's not something I wear often and more often then not I'm a little disappointing it's not as sweet and fun when it lands on my skin, but it's still one I enjoy when I'm in the mood.

If its possible for a person to hate a fragrance and yet crave it, this would be the one for me.

I don't get white chocolate, or gourmand cupcakes, or sweetness. At all. Its purely a sour kiwi smell with something similar to a men's shaving cream in the base. My nose must be picking up only the kiwi, orchid, and orris root notes. I get that masculine scent in AQUOLINA PINK SUGAR SENSUAL as well, they are perfectly identical, and they both contain orris root so I'm guessing that is the cause.

It remains this way, a rather odd mix of kiwi, orchid and orris root for a good stretch. After about six hours I start to get something sweeter, finally the white chocolate comes into play. And then its rather addicting. I don't like this scent at all, but I can't help smelling it out. There must be something addicting about orris root, because I feel the same way about PINK SUGAR SENSUAL. The strange combination here is oddly compelling.

I do give FANTASY a lot of credit for its sillage and longevity. It really projects like crazy and it just never seems to quite. It lasts longer than any other fragrance I've tried, even with only one spray. That being said I don't know that I would want to wear this in public as its not a very pleasant scent at all. Its obnoxious and feels rather pushy and unrefined; the drunk blonde girl who talks far too loud, thinks sexy is a push up bra and a too low neckline, and is just a complete mess.

I just might have to own a small bottle of this for my own guilty sniffing.

Casual and fresh enough to wear every day at home. A pleasant scent that says "I'm a girl who likes sweets". I wear this when I'm not sure what to wear... perfect every time.

I like this fragrance, even if it's not one of my favourite ones. It really smells like white chocolate.
It lasts at least 12 hours and even after the shower I can still smell it on my skin. So the longevity is really good, the sillage though is not really satisfying, I can smell it only a few centimeters away...

If BS Fantasy was a person, she'd be a very outgoing, happy-go-lucky, overly lipglossed ditzy teenager. Seriously, this perfume does not scream 'intellectual'.

I sincerely doubt I would have recognized the kiwi and litchi notes as such if it wasn't for the scent description; they are hardly realistic smelling. In fact, this entire perfume isn't very realistic smelling. But I kinda think that's the point. For anyone who isn't a bubblegum-popping teenager anymore Fantasy might be just that: a fantasy. I don't identify with the ditzy girl I described above (as I doubt miss Spears herself does), but sometimes I want to. And Fantasy is the perfect perfume for those moods.

The over-the-top fruit notes, the heavy and sweet white chocolate-vanilla base (which is mostly shaped by one aromachemical named isobutavan, I believe), the hot-pink round bottle with the almost clashing lime green rhinestones...it just works!

So instead of pretending to like this 'ironically', I'll just be honest and admit that I truly, honestly, completely love this when I'm in the right mood. Which is at least several times a month.

Okay. I saw this at Walmart for $17. The bottle is so cute! Especially the mini one! Next time i get paid, I'm totes buying this. Squeee! I previewed it, and it smells A-MAZING!

Before I actually review this particular scent, I want to make a comment about celebrity fragrances. I have an advertising background, and am often quite cynical about advertising claims and about ads in general (even though I enjoy the beauty of many scent ads and commercials). I tend to assume that a celebrity scent is overhyped and may not be as good as other scents,especially if the celebrity in question is not known as the sharpest knife in the drawer lol.
In this case, I am glad to be proven wrong. Fantasy is a delight! The mix of white chocolate and exotic fruit is quite strong, to be sure, but well-blended and delicious.
Both longevity and sillage are impressive. I encourage "mature" women to try Fantasy, as I don't really like the assumption that certain scents are only for young girls.
The bottle is gaudy, but I rather enjoy it.

I can never decide if I love this scent or if I'm sick of it. when I think about it, and when I smell it from the bottle it doesn't do anything for me. BUT once it's on my skin, it's a unique type of sweet. I'm already such a sucker for gourmand scents and this takes the cake (literally smells like a cupcake) the only thing that gets me is that strange chemical note. I thought at first that it was the bottle I had, but every bottle I smelled was the same thing. it's one of those perfumes I'd like to have but I wouldn't want to pay for it.

don't buy if you are not a fan of sweet smells! I think this would be a good scent to give a young girl who is just beginning to wear perfume. it's more than a body mist without being grown up, like at all.

When i smell this fragrance for the first time, i smell something fruity, and really over-sweet, but i love the scent of the fragrance, because i love a fruity or a sweet/gourmand scents.

WOW! I've had this perfume for about 2 years now and I never really realized what it smelled like. I simply couldn't pick up any specific notes. I haven't worn this one as much for a while but now I came to read the notes and I just had to put some on to see if I could finally pick up some of the listed notes and now I can definitelly smell the white chocolate quite strongly!

MMmm smells so yummy and sweet. I have to addmit I have gotten a bit sick of this perfume but I think now I'm totally falling for it again!

For me this is slightly too sweet but I still really really like it! To me this smells like a lovely blend of kiwi and white chocolate with a hint of jasmine and some sort of citrus in it :) Very pleasant but if used too much can be overly sweet and almost sickly. Fantasy also lasts long but I would advice not to spray too much because this one is easily way too sweet.

This is so amazing. I haven't used it in a while, but a few years back my Nana had some and I begged her to give it to me because I love it so much. It is a perfect perfume. Everyone I know loves it too. I totally recommend it.

The first time I tried Fantasy, I think I sprayed one time too many (it didn't help that the tester was broken) because I found the fragrance too heavy and cloying. Applied with a lighter touch, it's white chocolatey cupcake goodness - a gourmet cupcake, not the overly sweet store bought variety - with a hint of fruit. The longevity is amazing.

Katerina, I'm sorry if you found my post offensive. I am fully aware that people can have differing tastes, and that body chemistry plays a role in how a fragrance performs. But I just DO NOT GET what you are getting. At all. At all at all. And I find it frustrating. Because I really *wanted* to like this fragrance.

But since you DO like it, would you like to have my mini bottle for your purse? Maybe we could swap for something you hate...

love this one! :) the smell of cookies and white chocolate is awesome. once i arrived to haidressers and waiting women were like ,,Mmm, what's that sweet smell?" I answered,,That's probably me.." ,,So you work in candy shop?" :D :D And i have to say Fantasy is really strong and long-lasting.

When I first sprayed this I thought “bleurgh!” The opening is very sweet, fruity and quite loud. So I found myself thinking “This isn’t what the people on Fragrantica were talking about”. Just over an hour later, however, I’m getting white chocolate, fudge, cake, cookie dough, sweet warm nice things we all love. A total gourmand and I didn’t think I particularly liked gourmands but Fantasy is lovely.

Judging by the reviews here, this is a perfume I could see myself loving to death, especially because I'm a sucker for gourmand, sweet, warm fragrances.

Sadly though, this fragrance just isn't for me. It even repels me a little. The opening is so sharp and unpleasant-it must be the combination of kiwi and litchi that turns me off. Also, I smell no white chocolate or cupcakes, just a bit of vanilla under that very strong, repulsive coat of kiwi and litchi-definitely not enough to make me like this fragrance!

EDIT: I tried this again today and I like it very much actually. The first hour is still repulsive but then the smell of kiwi and litchi becomes much more subdued and all I smell is cupcakes and vanilla.

Love this! But one spray goes a long way! :)

I'm on my late thirties and bought this perfume just recently. I adore this scent and except for its pink bottle I wouldn't say this is suitable just for teenage girls. It's very pleasant perfume. Long lasting and not sickly sweet which I like. I'm lucky because in my country it isn't very popular and not a lot women knows about this beautiful perfume. I wear perfumes from all kind of lebels (and much expensive) but my two favorites scents are celebrities perfumes and I enjoy wearing them very much. I don't care if the bottle has Britney Spears name on it as long as it lifts my spirit.

My second favourite perfume to midnight fantasy. Such a lovely creamy sweet scent.

My mom is baking cupcakes downstairs. The carnival season is about to start. Time to wear "Fantasy"! It's funny how a scent can smell so homey and adventurous at the same time. And the deliciousness of it is driving me crazy!
From day one, "Fantasy" has reminded me of carnivals. Roasted almonds, cotton candy, popcorn, fruit dipped in white chocolate... anything sweet you can think of. And carousels. I've grown up loving carnivals, and "Fantasy" always manages to take me back there. As a scent reminding me of so much that is and has always been dear to me, I don't think I will ever stop loving it. Many say it's childish, too sweet, girly, cheap, plastic - you name it. I say it's delicious, fun, creamy, and should capture anybody's heart in a second, as long as they are not too cool and grown to admit they used to love waiting in line for the pony ride.

This is the only fragrance I've sampled that lists white chocolate as a note that I can smell white chocolate in... and that's pretty much all I smell. It reminds me of the Tutti Dolci line Bath & Body Works had back in the day.
I realized I'd smelled this quite frequently at Forever 21. It comes at you like a wall of Symphony Bars.

I don't know why people like this stuff. I mean it doesn't smell bad at all, it's just (at least for me)sort of a generic sweet "after smell".
Like cotton candy a day after the circus, or a room after a child birthday party has ended. Sugary white noise.

Britney Spears Fantasy it turns out is a sunless, airless, joyless synthetic concoction of a scent.

It is the odour of half-evaporated sugar-saturated alcopop-induced teenage puke melded onto man made luminous pink fibres and shone on too brightly with a harsh fluorescent light.

It is a fake white chocolate meets genuine industrial tropical fruit flavour bulk bought bleach meets all too real vomit of a fragrance.

In short is it a smell without any, I repeat any , redeeming features.

It doesn’t even have the dignity to disappear that quickly.

It claims, officially, to smell like a cup cake.

It claims, officially, to be a love potion locked up in an attractive bottle.

I can only hope that someone has found an equally attractive fattice bottle big enough to lock up the perfumers of this love potion in, permanently.

I claim, officially, my right never to have smell this again.

I wouldn’t perfume a permed and pink-rinsed pet poodle with this atrocity.

Already done a couple of reviews but feel the need to update. I sprayed this a few hours before getting in shower, went to pick up my friend from the bus station. My friend commented she could smell my perfume, (yes this perfume is a silage bomb).

To cut a long story short; I took a shower and realised I could smell my perfume amongst vapour and steam. Puts into perspective how strong this perfume is.

At first I completely ignored it because I didn't like the idea of wearing a Britney Spears perfume - nothing against her, it just seemed a bit silly an childish - but one day I decided to try it and my goodness. It was exactly what I had been looking for! It's extremely
sweet and cotton candy-y but it's also sexy and not overpowering. And the bottle is adorable! It's the type of scent that appeals to most people, since not everyone loves those strong, musky, grown up scents. And guys seem to like it!
It's the type of perfume that makes people go "you smell so good, are you wearing perfume?"

I don't find this overly sweet as some describe it. On me, the musk and woods come through quite a bit but the sweetness does balance it out. I don't get cupcake from this scent. I was expecting a Pink Sugar type scent upon reading the reviews but this is far more complex and sophisticated. It's a very beautiful scent and has decent sillage. Even though I don't get that gourmand sweetness from it, still a fragrance that lives up to the hype.

Every girl should own this! Unless you don't like sweet very girly scents. I love the cute bottle too. Britt makes such good fragrances! I think this is a staple in any collection.

I was so surprised and delighted when I met my grandmother and she was wearing Fantasy instead of Chanel Nº 5!

White chocolate, seriously? This thing is amazing.

I started wearing this perfume in my mid teens and even now at 22 I am still in love with it. I get loads of compliments from both woman and men of all ages and they're always so shocked when I tell them who it's by. This scent is definitely a keeper!

It's also very distinctive... it's been described as kiwi vanilla cupcake but I don't think that's very accurate, it's just FANTASY.
It is a sweet scent with fantastic sillage but I don't think it obnoxiously so (unless you bathe in it). It isn't as headache-inducing as Midnight Fantasy though.
The boyfriend adores this. Yay!

Longevity: about 1 hour moderate projection, 3 hours soft sillage.
Sillage: good in the beginning but dies down into a lingering skin scent on me. But my skin eats perfume so if this has been voted as a sillage monster, I'd believe that.

I honestly did not know what all of the hype was about with this perfume...until I sampled it. I love gourmand scents and this one really hit the spot for me. I sprayed it on my shirt sleeve in the store then forgot about it. I kept thinking "What smells so good?" This perfume surprised me so much that I can't wait to put in my order for a full sized bottle. I love this stuff!

What’s about the most discussed celebrity fragrance that makes it so addictive is beyond my understanding, but I know for sure this thing is breathtakingly scrumptious and beautiful in every possible way a fragrance can be.
Now I feel I can admit it was a love from the first sniff, though for a couple of years I tried to deny my passion and convince myself not to buy it because it was “too much” of what I didn’t want to smell of. Too sweet and in your face of course, and because of that I didn’t want to appear like someone who entered the adult age several years ago but still doesn’t want to grow.
In the meanwhile I bought Midnight Fantasy, that is easier to wear and a less straightforward gourmand in my opinion, but I kept on sniffing cupcake whiffs from Fantasy bottle each time I visited the fragrance store. Fragrantica and my personal experience, in time, made me turn 180° about this kind of paranoid and totally non-sense prejudice: it’s not what other people may think, it’s what I get from a fragrance and the way it makes me feel. And I’m pretty sure we only fall in love with something that’s good for us in the end (at least this can apply to scents!).

As happened to many, what has really bewitched me in Fantasy is the utterly creamy drydown that is nothing else than perfection, a small paradise for every gourmand lover I think, in which delicate musks and light woody notes melt with the white chocolate and soft tropical fruits reminiscences from the opening like they were part of a delicious cake recipe. Hours before, through the heart of the composition, I can almost see a cooker gently turning the spoon and adding one ingredient after the other, creating a smooth cream that’s ready to enter the oven while some drops of litchi juice are added to temper the sweetness.. then I see these little cakes spreading their thick and warm aroma through the bakery shop, while slices of kiwi and decorative orchids are added in the top of the cupcakes. And I swear, I’m not a fan of sweet food! This stuff, at a certain point, smells so much like a bakery that I’m afraid one day someone will ask me to bring some cakes next time :D

Fantasy is my comfort scent during hated winter of course, my lovely, loyal and pink friend that puts a smile on my face even when it’s grey and cold outside, surrounding me for at least 6 hours in a delicious and noticeable fragrant cloud that never turns unbearable neither vulgar even when overapplied (I’m impatiently waiting to wear Fantasy in summer evenings or in holidays, because it’s sure I’ll do). But it’s also a reminder of time and youth in some melancholic moments, whenever I think I missed something in my life, and it can be pretty cruel for that. This wild child screams fun and lightheartedness, so loud and clear that it touches my heart someway.
The Nose behind Fantasy must be a total genius, or a witch… or maybe a psychotherapist. Or all three.

For a long time I avoided to try her fragrances but when I did I'm really suprised, they really aren't that bad!

I would say it's similar to Pink Sugar Sensual but definitely less sweet.

At first whiff, kiwi and lychee burst out.
The white chocolate is the dominant note and it shows out shortly after aplication.
Because of the fruits it isn't sticky sweet.
I don't detect any flowers but the base is woody-musky with a slightly sweet touch.
Fantasy is a mouthwatering fragrance.

The sillage is amazing, and the scent lasts forever.

i just bought it yesterday after i saw a youtube reviews about britney spears fantasy parfume..lots of people says this perfume smell nice and sweet.i says yes!! it is smell sweet like blueberry,cakes,sugary..like you want to eat em..i use this perfume on a day time.arghh.. this perfume really sweet i like it!!!

I am a Guy and I use 'Fantasy'.

Judge me if you'll want but I love this fragrance.
It is juicy fruits and whipped cream drizzled with white chocolate
And sprinkled with icing sugar.
I use it on days when I am going out with friends to the mall or to have a day of fun.
I've even used it to nights when I went clubbing.
And I've never had someone tell me I smell fem or like a chick.
In fact I've had people ask me what is that awesome scent or sniff me and be like yum you're good enough to eat.
So I can suffice to say it suits my skin chemistry.
I've even had total strangers walk past me and stop me and say dude you smell like a childhood dream.
So judge all you want
But fantasy is childhood and fun in a pink bottle for me and I love it all the way from the fruity top to the chocolatey, vanilla musk woodsy drydown.

Too synthetic sweet, too cheap, too medicine smelling, too pink, too loud, TOO MUCH. Regret buying the 100ml bottle.

I don't wear Fantasy very often, and wore it for the first time since last summer. I think it's perfect for a warm or cool spring day, and is also a great summer scent. It's a fruity, sugary, gourmand scent. It's a perfect date fragrance or even for a casual day out. I can't really detect the notes, because I don't know what litchi, kiwi, and qunice are supposed to smell like... but I can detect what is probably those fruits, along with the white chocolate and musk. I really don't smell any jasmine or any other florals. I don't get a floral whiff at all.
If you like Paris Hilton's Can Can, then you'll like Fantasy. I would say that Fantasy has a fruity tropical smell and vibe to it (probably because of the litchi, kiwi, and qunice), unlike Can Can, where Can Can is more of a Fall/ winter, stay-at-home-on-a-cold- let's-bake-some-cookies type of scent.
Fantasy lasts all day, and projects very well. It can be very strong if you put too much on. My fiance like it on me. I love the coloring and crystals on the bottle; the box is very fun, too. I also think Fantasy's T.V. commercial was the best fragrance ad, and best Britney ad ever.

Only tried this perfume in Britney's new "Fantasy Twist" and although the scent was nice... It didn't compare to Midnight Fantasy.

On vacation in the states and this is the third Britney I've bought (I've bought 7 frags in total here) in about 2 weeks. You can get amazing deals in the US (I'm from Canada) and it really is a good opportunity to try new fragrances.

I got a massive 100ml bottle of this at TJ Maxx on clearance for $20!

At first spray all I get is vanilla sweetness and a tangy green note (kiwi?). In the drydown it does get softer and more powdery, probably the musk and jasmine. I don't get any other fruits or chocolate, but that's OK, I have plenty of other gourmand scents.

It is a powdery vanilla on me, perfect for daytime and spring/summer wear with excellent 12 hour longevity.

I don't find it strong or overpowering at all, I sprayed 6 sprays (wrists,elbows,neck and belly) and I could barely smell it, it is whisper soft on me which is nice.

As an FYI, I will soon be 32 and while I agree that this may not be a sophisticated scent,I don't think that anyone over the age of 15 should feel embarassed for using fragrances aimed at the teen market.

I once had a room mate who used this scent every time she went out. I found it far too sickly sweet when she first sprayed it on. However, after awhile, the smell became more pleasant, sweet and girly.

Still smells same to me as it did when I first started wearing it. Notes I pick up on: white chocolate, orchid, kiwi and cupcake. Gourmand yummyness just the way I like it.

Love or loathe it, it is her best seller, (as well as MF), out of her fragrance line. Thus speaking volumes about its popularity. At first spray today; I'm instantly transported back to when I was at college. It brought memories back such as; first boyfriend, 18th birthday, succeeding at college and a death of a loved one. All of what I went through at college. As soon as I spray this scent I instantly reconnect to people I know/knew around that era, places I've been and things I've done. To me this is sentimental/nostalgic scent, I have been through some of life's milestones whilst wearing this scent.

In a strange way, I find it is a pick-me-up scent. I wore this everyday in my final year of college, stressful and difficult times, and succeeded to go on to uni. Every time I spray it, it reminds me of working hard to get to where I am today; studying for a degree. Long story short; with memories connecting to this scent it picks me up and motivates me through difficult times. To sum up, it is a personal and nostalgic fragrance to me. I'll always keep it close to my heart and in my collecetion.

Something I have noticed also is that when I was testing this earlier it was a very strong perfume with great longevity and projection. Around Christmas I bought a bottle for my 15 yo and it seems to be much weaker than I remember.

Has it been altered? diluted? weakened?

I have however completely forgotten about In control the curious fragrance. Now THAT you will be taken seriously! One of my favourites in fact!

When I smelled it few months ago I was too impressed .I am not a fan of heavy perfumes but I loved this. I have got one yesterday but I think it is not for everyday use for me. Makes me eager to have a shower and wear something like cool water. I still like it but I couldn't bear it for along time.

Whatever your feelings are about Britney Spears, you have to give credit where credit is due. Fantasy is one of the best perfumes out there. Period. I have never met a person (male or female) who didn't compliment me when I wore it. It also lasts all day which is more than I can say about a lot of the expensive designer perfumes, AND the bottle is adorable in it's deep hot pink shade and green jewels. All across the board this perfume is perfect and will always have a place in my collection.

Like the poster below, I too got F and MF in the same set. Fantasy smells like a gooy cheap and sweet sixteen headache. I really don't like it. I don't smell aaaaaaaany cupcake or white chocolate which I'm gutted about - and it smells like many fruity body sprays that I get when I can't afford Dove!

I got this and Midnight Fantasy both for Christmas and they're both my favorite perfumes that I have ever had! They both have a sweet and yummy semll! You can't resist them! I will definitely be buying these two fragrances again! I give both perfumes a 20/10 rating!

There might be a lot of people who find "Fantasy" too sweet, people who will consider me crazy for saying this... But I'd love Britney to release a parfum extract version of "Fantasy", minus the little fruity tartness in the opening - just a heavy, super sweet, thick blast of sweetness. Lots of white chocolate and cupcake, a little bit of litchi and flowers, but overall, just gourmand yummyness. And neverending, please. Yes, I WANT that!

The best celeb fragrance out there - its sweet its vanaillery (not sure thats a word) its chocolately (or that) and it lasts so well - and I always get compliments from it ALWAYS (even from my mum and she hates the sweet sickly smells I like ) LOVE THIS :) One of my faves for years and never go off it

The reason I own this is because a friend of mine told me at first whiff it automatically reminded her of me, which is a cute compliment considering this perfume is cute & sweet. Fantasy has earned it's Fame by far. It does however get a rep for being "sweet like cotton candy" when in reality it's a little more complex than that. There is no Cotton Candy note and it really isn't detectable if you really dig into the smell. At first, like most sweet scents, it starts out on the skin a bit sour, almost bitter. The Kiwi & Quince are extremely intense with a hint of the cupcake and a small bit of the woods. It really starts off more like a sweet, bitter fruity rather than a sweet candy like fragrance. The dry down is the best part. There's hardly a trace of the fruits and you're left with a creamy mix of the Cupcake, White Chocolate & Musk. I'd recommend it to anyone who loves very sweet scents with a variety of detectable notes.

This scent smells very good, but also very weird, when you first spray it you just get this splash of fruity overload. The kiwi and quince really stand out cause of the sort-of sour/tartness making it unique. I absolutely get zero cupcake until the VERY ENDING of the fragrance. I think what make it "unique" smelling is the white chocolate trying to balance out with the fruits and jasmine. Overall on my skin it smells magnificent. With this perfume and pink sugar i get the most compliments. Don't let sniffing the actual bottle fool you! I don't regret this purchase AT ALL. (p.s I only do my neck and one wrist(rubbed together))

Ah, the famous Fantasy. I asked for this for my birthday without ever getting a wiff of it, wanted it purely for the what people have said. This, definitely, lives up to the hype. Fantasy is beautiful from first spray to it's lasting, amazing sillage, I was sniffing this on my wrist after 8 hours. The opening notes are pure fruit but then drys down to a cupcake-floral, then reminisce of the cupcakes are musk and white chocolate (I dont get the vibe of white chocolate being the most prominent note however). Love love love, perfect for winter/fall as it's so warm and delish! A teenage girl could get away with wearing this at night with her boyfriend, there's enough richness in Fantasy for that. Be careful to not overspray though, this can easily be overwhelming, I spray a max of 2-3 sprays.

After reading some reviews I get the feeling I´m a minority of not liking this parfume. It´s so sweet my teeth´s starts to ache. To me it smells like cheep teenage parfume and it´s to strong.

Very young scent. WAY too sweet for me...makes me feel like I have sticky cotton candy residue on my skin. Yuck.

The current version of Fantasy I consider diluted from what was at the time of its release.
When it was released, it was a perfume much more full-bodied, almost creamy, pure white chocolate!
In the bottle I have at the moment, I feel perfectly opening fruity kiwi on a base of white chocolate light. The perfume became much more versatile and useable, but still have good fixation and sillage.
I think a good perfume for the price though it has become very popular. Due to its popularity I would not buy a bottle, but having won one as a gift, I'm happy to use it.

This is a light fresh girly scent that is sweet but not heavy, as some sweet scents become.
It is at the start, a light blend of fruity fresh quince, and kiwi, dipped in white chocolate. As it mellows at the drydown, you will catch a touch of fragrant jasmine, mingling with litchi, and a hint of rich woods. It makes for a delightful fragrance that is never overpowering, but stays fresh throughout.
Sillage and longevity are both good.

I first smelt this perfume when a girl had sprayed it all over my twin bros blazer and he smelled so nice and sweet! (for once :P) and I remember asking him all the time, what was that perfume?! when i finally found out, i HUNTED it down and saw it was on sale for £20 for 100ml!! however when i bought and smelt it, it didnt smell as sweet as i had remembered it to be. On my skin, i can definitely smell a lot of kiwi, white chocolate and cupcake but i'm a baking kinda girl so i love it! The lasting power is great as well, about 8 hours.

my friend bought the fake fantasy from facebook, PerfumeBorong if im not mistaken. the packaging is so similar, even the scent is similar. only the seriel number can differentiate it from the original. its hard to detect counterfeit nowadays. *sign~~

Fantasy alone is such a delicious smell, I love it. Wear this with Midnight Fantasy, and you have a killer combo! (I don't have Fantasy Twist, I have both bottles)

Also, the longevity of Fantasy is quite impressive.. I sprayed 2 sprays on my neck yesterday around 2pm before I went to work, and I am just waking up now and can still smell it! With that being said, it's time to hop in the shower so I can wear something new!

One of my favorites. It starts a bit sour fruity and ends deliciously gourmand. I think of hazelnut chocolate whenever I get whiffs of it in the drydown.

I don't really like sillage monsters and fortunately on me Fantasy has soft intermittent sillage so I don't knock out everyone around me.

Also, don't particularly agree with the comments saying this only fits young girls. No reason not to smell this yummy at any age and (why not) any gender, if that's your thing.

I've kind of secretly recently fallen in love with this perfume. I've smelled it lots of times before but never really took notice. I've also owned it for a few months but again, not really taken any notice.

I've been wearing it recently after showering and my nose has kinda thought..hmm..I think i'm becoming a fan!

It opens with an slightly effervescent mix of kiwi and litchi, the sweetness is there straight away but it's not overly sweet because of the fruits. The florals stay quite understated through the entire wearing process.

The drier stages are quite different. When the heart notes kick in the white chocolate and cupcake really take hold and this becomes MUCH sweeter and slightly smoother.

When it's fully dry and a few hours into wearing, it turns into a very vanillary, white chocolate scent. It's a trail of foody yummyness on your skin.

The transition happens quite quickly on me..say..about an hour and half from wet to dry, but the dry stage stays on my skin for many hours after that. :)

I have been itching to get my hands on Fantasy, it seems like a perfume that everyone has and loves on this form.
Before Fragrantica I would have turned my nose up and not have worn a Celebrity Fragrance, but after diving head first into the world of perfume, I knew I had to blind purchase Fantasy.
I got this for £10.00 as a 30ml Gift Set from Superdrug.
You only need to spray this perfume once or twice the sillage is quite heavy and you will find yourself overwhelmed if you bathe in it.
I spritzed one spray on my wrist, at first smell it was very sweet and synthetic, I began to think Is this me?! A couple of minutes in I lost the sugar overdose smell and began to smell a beautiful sweet Kiwi chocolately smell, I then saw the beauty of Fantasy and could not stop sneakily smelling my wrist and cardigan sleeve at work.
The perfume really won me over an hour or two in. It began to smell sweet and pretty, vanilla cupcake but not over the top. Then around 8 hours later I could smell musk.
This is a lovely little perfume for the price, It is not a classic elegant perfume but it is great when you want to smell sweet and pretty.

This has been on my top favourites list since the day it launched!!!!!! This perfume needs a couple tiny spritz & lasts virtually all day !! This can get headache inducing if over applied :)

I bought this for my teen sister, because she loves white chocolate. She gave it back to me, saying it smelled, "cheap, like generic teen girl perfume". She's not really a fan of perfume in general, really... anyway, I want to be more open-minded about perfume. Celebrity, brand name, niche, who cares, it's the scent that matters, right? So, I'm gonna give this another try, and hopefully write a better review this time around.

On first spritz Fantasy is sour-fruity, pure kiwi with a litchi base. The white chocolate and cupcake notes rush forward pretty much as soon as it warms from my skin, though. Not even a minute later it's almost entirely sweet white chocolate/cupcake, though I can still get the kiwi/litchi/lemon fruitiness at the end. If I smell it at an arm's length I believe I can catch just the faintest hint of jasmine. It doesn't change much from this.

I can see why this is popular. But... I have to say the white chocolate smells just too synthetic and it's cloying. When I spray this, it seems to get everywhere, into my nose, my throat, onto my tongue. It has very good sillage, very good lasting power. So I'd recommend it if you were into super sugary sweetness, though I'd warn you to be careful with how much you spray. I feel this is best suited for young girls, though, I don't believe fragrance should be limited by age or gender.

Everything I have sprayed this on still smells the next day, everyone seems to love this perfume!

This was my daily fragrance for over 3 years (I didn't wear perfume daily, but still). I love love love the scent, it's so beautiful and sensual. I just wish the lasting power was longer.

The sillage and staying power for this perfume is simply amazing. 1-2 sprays (I would suggest 2 sprays as the maximum, because less is more in this case) will last all day and you will feel the scent uprising again when taking a shower, which is something I really like. Moreover, if you spray the fragrance on clothes, you may feel the scent even after washing them, which I also doesn`t mind.
On my skin the beginning seems fruity, with kiwi and litchi greeting you with a big hug. Soon it sets down a little bit and the white chocolate (orchid) comes in. The really sweet smell of cotton candy and vanilla is what I feel through most of the day. And then the scent settles down just a little bit and turns into a bit deeper, cupcaky type of smell with a hint of musk.
On my clothes it sometimes seems a little bit different, more linear, I guess, but still it is the paradise for a sweet-tooth.
I would like to say that this perfume has great quality and it is not even expensive, so if you like sweet and tasty perfumes, you should give it a try. I always recommend trying every perfume out on yourself before buying, but this could even be the case where you could skip this part and still be satisfied.
However, I have to admit that for me Fantasy is like my favourite dessert which I could eat all the time. But it is better if I eat it just once in a while because otherwise I might not want to look at it for a long time if not for forever.
I bought the 50ml bottle a year ago and it seemed perfect for the winter time so I used it every day for a month. Well, I have to admit that sometimes I broke the rule and sprayed it a little bit too much just because I liked it a lot. I regretted this soon after as it got cloying. Then the spring came and it seemed a little bit too heavy for the season and somehow I had gotten tired of it as well. And that`s the problem. Feeling the cold weather taking over and taking the bottle out on my vanity again, I feel like I don`t have the same relationship with the fragrance anymore. It seems just a little bit too much. I still like it but I can`t seem to wear it. So, I would just suggest using this sweety sparingly and then, I think, everything should be just fine.

Bought my second bottle yesterday because it was on a great offer in Boots with shower gel/body lotion as a set.

I don't normally buy again as I always like to try something new but the price along with the yumminess of the scent meant I couldn't resist.

It reminds me of happy things in life, being young and girly. I love the sweetness and creaminess of the white chocolate but there is also a fruitiness which is refreshing. Also amongst celeb fragrances which are often EDT and last 5 mins, this has great staying power.

I look forward to enjoying the Fantasy once again!

in a way I don't quite get why fantasy range is meant to be aimed at a younger market, both have a rather sexy seductive smell to it, (well to my nose). Yes, both smell sweet but like i've said above seductiveness sexy and confidence is what comes to mind when i smell both x

Every time I wear this, someone tells me I smell good. Sweet, girly, feminine and makes you feel warm in the cold winter months. Strong, so go light with it, and has great sillage. Love it!

gf wears this with midnight fantasy....love it! i love the smell of my pillow and miss her smell often. i think they discontinued midnight but just came out with fantasy twist in oct 2012 which is fantasy and midnight together. awesome perfume, not a fan of britney but this stuff is really good. 9/10

One of my first perfumes and great smell but definitely for a young girl. But this is the type of perfume that next day you shower and the steam in the shower smells like this perfume. I just love how good it sticks to me. My only problem is I am 21 and I have to let go of my 15's young girl scent. Other than that sticky delicious sweet smell.

I still remember year when Fantasy was out and I tested it on counter. Then it was a miracle and the most unique sweet scent in the world. I am sure now Fantasy launched a new fashion and it's first celebrity perfume to be so sucessful. I always like Britney's choices in music and now in fragrances. She knows how to make a hit or how to make a good team to create that hit ;) To me Fantasy brought memories about fairs with cotton candies, fruity ice cream, milk shake cocktails. I just love the base part of it! Usually sweet perfumes turn into musk and dust after long hours, but Fantasy stays fresh and creamy as soap. It has high quality as no other celebrity perfume. James Krivda made a masterpiece for woman loving sweet memories :)

I bought the edt version and it's ok, but nothing special obviously. I like wearing this after I take a shower cos on me it smells shampoo-ish and fresh, the only thing I couldn't get was the gourmand cupcake note, it's a very linear sweet scent but not like actual food, just artificial sweetness.

I was walking around in one of those huge department stores and this lady grabbed my arm and sprayed this. I hated this woman. She's the perpetuator of my downward spiral. I swear this stuff is like drugs or something. I couldn't stop sniffing my arm. I ended up buying a set of this perfume that included body creme and came in a pink box.

Everytime I wore this friends would tell me I smelled good. This is one of those guilty pleasures you are ashamed of mentioning in the adult world....... like admitting your still watch cartoons and sleep with stuffed animals.=/

Bottom line is this smells like a birthday party! The first fruity blast reminds me of tart fruits. Then I am surrounded by cupcakes with whipped icing on top, swimming in chocolates and sweet treats, all indulgence and no worries. This is surely gonna send me into a diabetic comma and I will gladly go! The flowers and fruits only heighten the sweetness of this potent perfume.

I had this in my collection and ran out. I will surely buy it again and slip into another diabetic comma whenever I can like a sugar junkie. I love and enjoy this.

It's odd, to me, that so many people list white chocolate as the prevalent note in this fragrance as I don't smell it at all. For me, this is a spring/summer fragrance, that makes me think of birthday parties on early summer afternoons. Although it is a "young" fragrance, I don't think that it only works for young people. I reach for this whenever I am feeling lighthearted and playful. At 36, I don't feel too old to wear this and, after trying it, my mother loves it too. We even bought her some for Christmas so it's not just for the young but for anyone who is young at heart!

This has got to be one of my favourite perfumes ever! The scent is very strong & seems to last me a whole day. It makes you crave sweet things, like lollies, or chocolate. You get hints of white chocolate, because white chocolate has a sweeter scent than milk chocolate. You also get a hint of cupcakes, kiwi & musk, which pulls the whole perfume together.

The bottle is sweet & feminine. It is a dark hot pink with peridot colored diamonds in little areas of the bottle. The scent is very girly & I recommend wearing this perfume when you are going out or want to make yourself stand out!

Fantasy was a fragrance I used to love until my senses changed a bit and it all became overly too sweet for me. Every time I smell it now it makes me sick to my stomach because of the heavily layered scent of cupcakes and sugar. It's target in my opinion are younger girls as in last year of Elementary School or beginning of Junior High School. I remember giving this gift to someone in JHS and it quickly became her favorite scent because it smelt like cupcakes. But to someone in later years of High School and maybe College or just adult life in general, it's too young and innocent.

Which is why I'm so grateful Britney Spears designed more sophisticated and matured fragrances.

Everyone's sense of smell is different, I know. And these are all just my opinions. I know that you do not have to be younger or older to love a fragrance.

I own this perfume, I have had many bottles of it over the years. The bottle I have now is almost a year old and still smells the same when I first got it. It is very sweet, but you can also smell a little fruity and sweet flower smell in there along with another warm scent maybe the cupcake and white chocolate note in it. It is not over powering like some perfumes you spray on you have to walk away for a minute and its not to sweet where it gives headaches it is just right, and the after smell is also delicious it kinda smells the same as you when you first put it on but it gets more warmish sweet. It is delicious, the only problem I have about it is that it doesn't stay on very long at all about 1 hr on me. But that's on me maybe it last longer on some others...I am a big fan of the scent,. I will continue to purchase this perfume...My mother use to wear it all the time when I was younger she stills loves it a lot.

i have tried this at perfume shop... 1st time spraying it..the smell just too strong for my liking..so i decided to buy radiance instead..but after i get out from the mall..there is it! the sweet smell just pop out from my wrist & there is me regretting why im not buying it in the 1st place..but luckily radiace is not that bad after all...

At first I smelt something sweet and a fruit (I think guava even though there doesn't seem to be any in there). After a bit you get this this sweet-cakey-ness.

Hrmm, I'm not sure what a lot of the "sweet" smells in this perfume are supposed to smell like (such as the red litchi and Quince), but I can very much smell the woodsy base notes in this. It almost smells spicy to me. It's a very sweet and spicy smell which surprised me greatly reading this review. I had to google orris root, but I believe that's what I'm smelling when I spray this. It smells very sweet with a strong wood-base. Not what I was expecting from a celebrity Britney fragrance. I don't dislike it, but I don't love it either.

On my skin, it's similar to other girls who've worn it near me: Cotton candy and some sour fruit (kiwi). There's also musk and perhaps white chocolate.

Very youthful scent. NOT my cup of tea, but it's okay for a lot of people. No sophistication or mystery, but a lot of bubbly and bouncy.
I've got a headache, right now and it has been devilishly climbing up my sensitive nasal passages and intensifying the pangs.
It stands out from other scents, I'll say that and it's good enough quality. Worth it for ladies who want to feel extra cute.

This is a cute and casual fragrance. I love it but it feels like it should be on my gorgeous little girl rather than her mum..hehe...super sweet..super girlie!

First of all I'm a brand-knob-snob.
I don't go for celeb scents because I find them common and very cheap smelling.
So how does Fantasy fit in here, you ask?

Oh God, I'm sooo reluctant to say it, but I LOVE it.
I wish all perfumes had the same sillage and projection. I have a problem with 99% of the perfumes on the market currently staying for around 2 hours on me. After that, I would catch a whiff every now and again, if I'm lucky.

Fantasy STAYS. It stays for 12 hours+ on me. Projection is fantastic and I do frickin love the smell, can't help it! I would love if more perfumes were made the way Fantasy is made, why do they disappear and this stays? I don't get this. It's cheap as chips!!
Also, because of the projection, sillage and top notes it makes an EXCELLENT room fragrance.
So every time I feel too snob-guilty to spray it on myself (which I often do) I just spray it around me haha.

Very sweet,seductive smell. Prailine-candy or dark brown sugar over some kind of red fruit: litchi or maybe raspberry. Sometimes you just need a solid, hot-pink perfume, either to warm up with in the winter or to make life more exciting. My collection is not complete without at least one of this kind. I'm probably too old for this one, but it does serve it's purpose nicely in my collection. Warm,rich,comforting, sexy,and glamorous. I wear this when I want to feel girly, mischievious,and not at all serious.

Nightmare in a bottle. It's way too sweet and cheap smelling. It last long and when over sprayed can seriously make a person die from holding their own breath in order not to smell this disaster. I smell this fragrance on young high school girls

This is definitely super sweet! It is a cupcakey floral scent. I know it might sound like a weird combo but it definitely works. it is definitely youthful smelling. i LOVE this fragrance and guys seem to love it too, i always get compliments. If youre not into super sweet scents you might consider this very cloying.

Definitely aimed at the younger buyers, but I think any age could wear it. Its very sweet but not sickly and sits close to the skin so shouldn't be offensive to other people. In saying that I had one little spray and 6 hours later I can still smell it. I guess if you over sprayed it could get a little strong for some people. I'm going to buy it for my daughter.

I've been repurchasing this perfume since it came out and I always like to have it in my collection.

It smells of sweet cupcakes, litchi, creamy chocolate and musk. Fantasy has got me more compliments compared to when I wear 'designer' or more expensive brands. The lasting power is magnificent!

Overall, I am not ashamed to admit this is my No.1 favourite celebrity perfume. Highly recommended to sweet gourmand lovers of all ages.

Fantasy is the olfactorial equivalent of those cheap supermarket cupcakes that come in a pack. It's an accessible, uncomplicated, and uber-intense sugar bomb tinged with fruits and a trace of florals, and lots of people will love it or hate it.

I started out with a mixture of fascination and curiosity at its immense popularity, followed by revulsion at how sweet and chemical it smelt (I blame the "white chocolate orchid"), but it must be as addictive as refined sugar, because I find myself going back to sniff it again and again, and ended up getting a large bottle from a discount store at $22.

There's something oddly compelling about the gaudy magenta bottle with its clashing lime studs, as well as that heady candy-like sweetness. Call me weird, but some days I just want the simple, intense pleasures of an artificially-flavored sugar rush, and I'd personally pick spraying this over popping real candy any day.

The smell is kind of cheap. It's way too heavy and sweet.

I think most of celebrities fragrances are just copies of Fantasy.
Yes, its sweet and yummy but still not too juvenil, fun and very sexy at the same time.
Its a cupcake dream and the longevity its just amazing.
I love how complex it is and I enjoy smelling the changes as the day goes by.
However I find it too heavy sometimes... it's sweet but not soft at all.

I´ve been quite complemented with this one. Not for hot days, because it could be too much, but then for everyday. What I get with this one is extreme permanence, on the skin lasts many many hours and on clothes it seems to last forever!!

This was my signature scent for a while, about three years ago but I haven't had it for a while and I'm not sure if it'd be too sweet and gourmand for me. I will say this though - it got me the most compliments and enquiries of any perfume I've ever owned. And yes, the silage is incredible - people would smell that I'd arrived in a room before they saw me!

Utterly pefect! This fragrance is so delicious, I feel like biting my wrist whenever I wear it. The white chocolate is definitely noticeable, and overall, this smells like a sweet dessert with a hint of fruit. Nothing negative to say about this - my favorite.

I swear Fantasy has the most RIDICULOUS sillage of any perfume ever. I can smell women from 100m away wearing it. I stood next to a lady on the train for about 20 minutes who was wearing it, and could smell it on myself when I got home!

When I first spray it I can really smell the delicious cupcakey-white chocolate. I don't detect the fruits very strongly at all. If you wanted a gourmand, this would be the perfume to go for. As the day goes on I get comments about the musk dry down (from unlikely people too!). The longevity is enviable.

I like to spray it on my pillows b/c I am a becoming too old for this kind of fragrance now, but my bed smells lovely! It is like sleeping in a pile of cupcakes.

I heard a lot of good reviews on this so I finally bought one and it smelled amazing. It's sweet, delicious, flirty but innocent. It gives you just the right amount of sweetness and girliness. It catches attention, but is still pleasant. I can smell the white chocolate, kiwi and lychee and something gourmand-sweet which I guess is the cupcake. It comes in a really pretty bottle as well, and isn't very pricey (especially for a perfume that smells this good). I definitely recommend this one!! <3

This scent is intoxicating. It's really sweet but in a delicious and irresistible kind of way. I want to eat it or bathe in it!

I imagine Lolita by Nabokov wearing this one, sweet, girlish and innocent. But coming back to real everyday life, Fantasy is nice only used sparingly. Just one spray and you are ready to go out. More than that smells like candy store and cheap.

I have this fragrance and it is super delicious. It smells edible, obviously that being the gourmand notes: cupcake & white chocolate. As everyone knows, Snooki's fragrance is a rip off of Fantasy, but this is slightly heavier because of the chocolate note. I get a slight floral accord as well, but the cupcake is the ringleader in this scent. It calls the shots ;P
It is very popular amongst younger females, but no where near as common as Midnight Fantasy. Overall, I can't fault this fragrance, even the bottle is lovely.

I brought this after reading wonderful revives. I can smell kiwi(quince and leychi)at first.After an hour I can detect white chocolate and some complicated notes(think orchid,orris root,cupcake maybe)that i never had before.It is so long lasting girly, sweet, gourmand wonderful, fairy perfume.Thanks fragrantica nice job!

This is my favorite of Britney's perfume line that I have tried so far.

The first perfume I ever bought for myself. At first, it's a burst of juicy kiwi and litchi. I love how the tart fruity notes lure you into thinking this will be floral, when in reality it quickly turns smooth like molten white chocolate with just a hint of orchid. The sweetness of cupcakes peeks through softly, finally accentuated by the powdery musk and the tingling, licorice-like orris root. Fantasy is really the only one I liked from the whole Fantasy series.

Why? Because I love scents that have that "dark, magical night" feeling, just like this one. While Fantasy is a really girly sweet scent, it's not innocent or oblivious in the least. To me it speaks of a girl's darker side, but one that is intriguing and nothing she is ashamed of. Surrender your senses and you will come to see the beauty of her world, where the moonlight is ever-present and nothing is impossible.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! I've never smelled Pink Sugar Sensual, but Fantasy reminds of me of Pink Sugar itself (or more so it's green opening). And boy is Fantasy's lasting power and sillage strong... In a good way!

I don't (but I wish I did) smell anything cupcake-y or tropical, but rather a soft, sweet, musky scent. Very intoxicating. On me, the opening is fresh, and the white chocolate comes out after 2 or 3 hours.

The bottle's a little immature, but who cares? No book cover judging is going on here. A great blind buy based on the reviews, I definitely recommend it :)

I like the smell after the alcohol smell wears down, but the perfume altogether smells cheap. You can get the same type of not long lasting & sugary scent from any dollar store.

This is another of the Britney fragrances I got in 10mL, and it's sooo good. This is by far a celebriscent at its finest. I've had it on for 7 and a half hours now and I can still smell it without having to press my nose right up against my wrist. I do find that there isn't much evolving done in the fragrance, and it's just one sweet combination of fruit and floral, but that doesn't bother me at all because it is so delicious. Fantastic job Britney, and way to top it off with the gorgeous bottle. This is a new favourite of mine for sure.

Oh, I want this perfume! Tried it out very recently, and decided I need this. Smells a whole lot like...cupcakes, vanilla, a pastry bakery. Admittedly, I do enjoy smelling like sweet things. This really is cupcakes in a bottle. And I do love cupcakes. It lasts long, smells sweet, reminds me of cotton candy & my childhood. I see no fault in this perfume. The bottle isn't too bad, either. A tad on the girly-girl side, but my perfume collection could do with a pink bottle to brighten it up. Will be purchasing this soon!

This is so girly, but I love it! I first got this about 5 years ago as a teenager, when I wanted to start buying my own perfumes and feeling more grown up. This was one of my first purchases and I adored it, but eventually forgot about it and the bottle disappeared.

A few months ago, an exchange student came to live with us from Mexico, and she always smelled delightful. I asked her what she was wearing, because it was so familiar, and it was Fantasy. Smelling it now reminds me of her and of when I was still at school, and it's a great fun perfume that I wear whenever I'm feeling lazy or girly or in the mood for something really sweet, mostly when I'm just sitting around at home.

On my skin, I don't really get any particular notes. I just get a creamy, slightly fruity but warm gourmand scent that's quite sweet, probably due to the white chocolate. The more I wear it, the more I can begin to make out hints of lychee or kiwi, but nothing distinctive. One of my aunts loves this too as her 'lazy day' perfume, and she's 35, so I don't really think this scent has an age. Instead, I think it's more about how you feel on the inside and what you want this perfume to make you feel.

It is like a strawberry cupcake with vanilla icing decorated with cotton candy and White chocolate sprinkles with a twist.

this fragrance is AMAZING!one of my favorites!when you first spray it on,it smells like kiwi.it stays like that for about 20 minutes.the heart of the fragrance to me smells like some type of flower thaws sprinkled with sugar.the heart lasts for about 3 and a half hours.the base notes are my favorite part of the fragrance!the base notes have the cupcakes sweet notes in it(even though it says these notes are in the heart,i smell it in the base notes)the white chocolate stands out a lot if you think about it. this fragrance all together lasts really long, 8 hours minimum!i am a huge fan of britneys fragrances,and this and midnight are my favorites from her!i recommend this!

IT IS SUPERRR SWEET!! so be aware of that...idk any other way to describe it other than it smelling like cotton candy. I'd definitely describe it more as a sexy/flirty scent. i have it, i love it, i'd recommend it for sure!

Would you like some more sugar with your white hot chocolate? Why yes, pour it on! this is a diabetics nightmare, sugar and furit and candied syrup with sugar on top. One note seems to go sour on me, so even if i didnt' mind all the sugar, I don't think I'd ever buy it. I prefer my fragrances to be a fraction as sweet as this sugar bomb.

My girlfriend used to wear this all the time a year ago,. It's ultra feminine, ultra sweet, cloying, and yet so delicious!

Powerful? Yes. The longevity of this girly scent is pretty much average. Same goes for projection. It isn't a projection beast, but it projects. During the time of Fantasys scentlife she gets warmer and warmer, but stays pretty much as sweet as when you first spray it.

Use with causion as this get's really really cloying!!

Think about a pink scent in your head. This is eventually what you´ll end up with :D
Remember, this is just from my experience with my girl.

I think i would spend a LOONG LOOOONG time finishing it. Just a spray is enough. it may get too cloying at times. But nevertheless, an uplifting scent. fun, young and girly sweet.

Yummy, captivating scent. Most of the girls around me, from teens up to late 20's seem to be wearing it. My sister owns it, so do my cousin sisters, and even my fiancee wears it often. It has a distinctive scent that I can recognize anywhere, I even surprised a mutual friend recently by guessing her perfume correctly. I quite like it on my woman, it's not a sexy scent, but very delicious, lovable and cute...I can't help but get closer when I smell that strong creamy-fruity scent on her. Makes me hungry. Yum.

this is the first of the fantasy line and its a bitter tart sweet gourmand perfume..you can smell the kiwi and the litchi which makes it smell like candy and the white chocholate gives it a vanilla vibe...but it is the lighter of the scents she has compared to midnight fantasy and hidden fantasy..its a classic that you can layer with anything and the lotion is really tart like like the perfume.. britney scents are good beginner perfumes for the youth and for beginner collectors...it gets you so excited to collect yummy scents and makes your experience as a collector so much more fun wanting more!

update:i have grown very fond of this perfume..it lasts for awhile and the candy reminds me of a tart cherry jolly rancher..it smells so good and then you can smell the hints of white chocolate...i actually spray this more lately than any of her newer ones...i dunno i just love the dry down alot on this

After going through so many good reviews i couldnt stop my self frm ordering this one as i really like sweet gourmand perfumes..
Finally i got the perfume yesterday.
Many have mentioned it opens with cupcake and white chocolate like sweetness..bt i find the opening note to be more peppery n strong..after 30 minutes the sweetness of white chocolate shows some hint bt the overpowering peppery doesnot allow it to take control.

It takes a long tym to get to the base notes..which is very warm and sweet.
I wish the dry down was quick as i simply dont lyk the peppery strong smell of it.it really get on my nerves :-(..

I love this one the more I wear it. At first this was almost sickeningly sweet, but I've gotten used to that part. This one is very strong smelling, and should be used sparingly. It seems to last on my skin from morning until I get home from work (of course it's not nearly as noticeable by then).

When I first spray this one, it's very sweet, like cotton candy, but throughout the day it fades on my skin to a peppery/spicy tone, and finally settles to a vanilla musk that I absolutely love.

This starts off as a nice white chocolate sweet scent, i like that. i dont get any fruits and jasmine but the end note really bothers me, it must be the musk, here it is peppery, sharp like an aldehyde note the last thing that nose/mind perceives. The musk is very similar to the musk that bothers me on narciso rodriguez for her.

I don`t know if I`m imagening this, but it feels like Fantasy gets more and more PEPPERY with each new bottle I buy.

I agree Brit. Over the Last ten years, these candy type perfumes have become very popular and i think britneys was the first of it's kind. Celeb perfumes were generally unheard of when i was a teen, now they are everywhere.

I told myself i was too old for this yummy fragrance, but i couldn't resist buying it again. I guess this generation of people in their 50's 60's will be wearing candy like perfumes because a new fragrance generation will take place! So you're never too old for a perfume!

Hopefully this celeb fragrance will last, Elizabeth Taylor's fragrances have!

I know that there are thousands of others like Fantasy, but this has something very unique to it and when I was wearing it, no one else(around me) was, so it was kind of "my thing". My best friend says: "This is so you!" and it is a part of me! This reminds me of the moments with my best friend, having drinks with her, having fun, being sad. Mostly it brings back the days from my first own apartment in good and bad.

So... Yet there are many similar fragrances, but Fantasy was here FIRST! At least for me.

Oh, Fantasy, how much do I love thee? Let me count the ways...

First of all, even though I am a Britney fan, I avoided this perfume for 7 years. Yes, 7. I just discovered it this year. I'm 27, and of course when I was 20 I still loved Britney but I would rather have died than bought a perfume with her name on it. Fast forward to present day, and I could care less!

I'm sure by now the hype has died down enough where it doesn't really matter if I wear this. I don't care if I'm "too old" or whatever.

You would think this is a very generic gourmand, but no! I have never found one quite like it! I don't know how she came up with it, but this is literally the most unique celebrity gourmand, cupcake, girly, sugary smell that I have found.

At first whiff, the kiwi and lychee burst out of the nozzle. The white chocolate dances around your skin, and the cupcake teases your palate. In a short while, sexy orchid, musk, and a hint of jasmine come out to play with their sweet friends. After the mouthwatering party on your skin starts to wane, the orris, woods and creamy chocolate shout for attention. It's all so beautiful, delicious, sexy, and all too irresistible. Not only that, but the sillage is amazing, and the scent lasts and lasts.

Am I embarrassed to say this is my signature scent? No, not anymore. It deserves that title, because I find myself reaching for it more and more.Every night after I've taken a shower (right before bed) I bathe in this glorious scent, cuddle with my hubby, and drift off to sleepy land.

This fragrance is SUPER strong and lingers for aggggges. The top notes are extremely sweet and overpowering and smell very similar to Katy Perry's 'Meow' or Justin Beiber 'Someday'. This fragrance is definitely a teenage scent, very cupcake-like. Usually I'm a big fan of sweet, fruity gourmand scents but this particular scent just seems.. cheap, so despite the amount of complements I get on this perfume, I don't think its for me!

For me, top notes are sharp tropical fruits, these quickly fade to sweet chocolate and warm cupcake accord. This is slowly stirred by the musky and vanilla notes that emerge towards the end of the pyramid.

The overall description is sweet and strong, gourmand and addictive.

Fantasy is very distinctive and a very well blended scent.

No wonder its the best selling scent, EVER!

I LOVE fantasy!!!

Mostly white chocolate smells even from the first sniff, which I love. I think it should've been more fruity and the orris root spoils it a bit for me, but I like the cupcake-ish smell of it. When I wear it I hear things like "I smell latex" or "I smell medicine" or "you smell like hoity toity" haha but other than those, the sane usually give good comments. It has good lasting power and sillage, and not exactly "sexy". It smells a bit baby-ish and mature at the same time, which I don't like. 7/10 for me, and midnight fantasy is better in my opinion.

This is the weakest perfume I've ever used. First, I can barely smell it in the bottle. Second, I can only smell it on my skin for less than five minutes. Glad I only bought the mini. I really love the very faint smell I get...I wish it were stronger on me. My boyfriend can't smell it on me at all. It literally disappears on my skin.

This perfum has a sweet aroma which can't not be noticed! Wherever or whenever you use it will make you highlight from all peoplea around. I don't know how but the aroma is hypnotizing.

I got this perfume the month before i would graduate from high school. It came with a really cute sequined pink and green striped tote bag. I think Fantasy smell nicer than Curious because it smelled more like candy. The bottle is cute itself.

YUUUUUM! This right here, THIS right here is the best perfume ever. I mean i always get compliments on it and the men love it. Alot... anyway on to the actual fragrance it smells like sweet sex on a humid summers night on the beach in the middle of july. The end. haha

As much as I wanted to like this perfume - it didn't work out. The opening note doesn't seem that bad, but then it transforms into this cheap, sickly sweet and over the the top artificial smell. It's awful and it makes me sick. Also there are tons of variations of this smell from Pink Sugar, to Vampire’s Love by Essence. Cute bottle though.

The base is way too heavy on the musk, i couldn't wear it.

Oh Britney, how I love thee and your trampy "using a public restroom barefoot" ways. I am a total nose snob, and even I love this one. I dont think this works for anyone over 30, but it IS sexy, if only for the carefree cotton candy memories that it evokes.

Fantasy smells like the opening of Meow by Katey Perry. It also smells like PInk Sugar without the burned after smell. I personally like Fantasy a lot more than both Meow or Pink Sugar. The dry down of fantasy is mild less sharp or acrid than the other two. I think it smells alot more like the higher end Chance Eu Chanel Tendre. I would consider buying this fragrant. It has a cotton candy kind of scent and dries down quite beautifully to some kind of mildly sweet French pastries. Absolutely delicious. If you like sugary scents, you may also like this fragrant. It lasts about 6-8 hours on my skin. the scent becomes more and more pleasurable the longer I wear it . It could just be compatible with my own skin. I am starting to like many of Britney's perfumes.

Starts out very Pink Sugar, ends up Freshly Cut Grass (on me). Smells better on clothes. Bottle is awful, unless you're twelve. May decant into something less ugly. Similar to Pink Sugar and Hard Candy, but without the mustiness I get with 'em.

Oh, did make the crook of my arm start burning when sprayed it though, might wish to wear lightly/test if have sensitive skin. Burning faded after about 30 mins (was doing hair and make-up, and was running late, am not simply so lazy will leave pain-lotion on skin rather than wash, have good personal hygeine, stop judging me!)

Edit: 4-5 hours after I sprayed this, boyfriend comments, "Smells like...a youth hostel...in York..." Brit's Fantasy is weird.

i do not know why people say this is too sweet and such. it opens as a fruity slightly sour litchi and kiwi ... then fades into a sexy white chocolate ... not as chocolatey as i thought though. i don't smell the 'sickly' sweet everyone else is ranting about. but it's a nice, creamy fruit with a hint of white chocolate.

My story about this fragrance.
I was Britney's fan at the beginning ( 2000-2004...), but then from a nice and positive girl she became an "adult" sex babe which I didn't like. I didn't like her songs ( if that noise can be called "a song") anymore, so when this fragrance was launched I didn't care.

Sweet, "entertaining", joyful and "smiling" scent.
I bought it just for myself because after testing I couldn't stop sniffing my wrist. The base notes are just perfect!

But, I must say it's not the scent than can be wore everyday/everytime, and I have to be careful when I spray this.. If I sprayed a little too much, it could be a nightmare..

I FINALLY tested this yesterday.
On me, it opened with a very non-descript sweetness, then quickly smelled like white chocolate (good!) but then suddenly... PEPPER! Whatever caused the peppery smell (akin to black pepper) took over almost completely and there was just a little sweetness overshadowed by the PEPPER PEPPER PEPPER. (Did I mention pepper? *grin*)
Oh, it did stay and stay... I had to scrub it off when I got home.
Maybe the tester bottle had "gone bad"... I don't know. But if not, this stuff really does not like my chemistry.

I finally tested this on my skin and I thought I would love it since I'm madly in love with midnight fantasy but I have to agree with Moondew it's so saccharin sweet it's stomach-churning.

Its sweet and nice. If u cant afford to buy viva la juicy, this is the cheap version of it.

The initial spritz of this is nothing special. It's almost annoying, to be honest. It takes about an hour of Fantasy sitting on my skin before it begins to turn into something pretty. The heart of it is what makes this perfume nice. I can't say that it's my favorite, because the initial spritz and a short while after seems too immature, not womanly enough. It takes time for it to warm up and turn into something a bit more mature.

It's okay...I wouldn't purchase again, though.

Fantasy has an intense sweetness but not a sickening type of fragrance.it has an excellent staying/lasting power..even up to 3-4 days on paperstrip (as tester) and on shirt..regarding the sillage,i would say it’s impressive.pure parfum liquid inside fantasy bottle makes it long lasting and anyone who wears it,will be scented all day long.

What about the box?it really takes my fancy.for those of you who would like give this perfume as a birthday present/gifts for special occasion,no need any fancy wrappers…just enough of this box and you could add a ribbon on top to make it an exclusive-looking gift/present.because the box already nicely decorated..really fancy,colourful n eye-catching.

My boyfriend loves this perfume. It's the perfume I wore when we first met in high school. I still get it just for him. I still love it, too! It's very girly and flirty and fun. It lasts all day too!

Brought this scent when it came out years ago. It was really nice but couldn't wear it often as it was so over powering. Now I can smell it all the time on other people and just can't stand it. Had to give the bottle away.

This is the perfect girly fragrance..it smells verrryyy sweet but sophisticated enough to not be overpowering or give you a headache. Great for teens and early twenty year olds. I remember lots of girls at my high school wearing this one! It smells so pretty. Sadly this perfume does not work at all with my body chemistry :(

I gave this a really bad review some time ago, saying it smelled like cheap air freshener. Well, I repent my sins. Having liked Coach Poppy I have given this another try and I find that it really suits my skin. I think my issue with this is that teenage girls over apply it. T'was ever thus. In my day, it was perfumes like Coco. I used to cover mysef in it from head to foot and my mum used to complain that the house stank of it and that even after she'd washed my clothes the smell of Coco would waft up when she was ironing. She used to say that Coco was her least favourite perfume and that it made her feel sick. Recently I wore Coco (as an adult I wear two moderate squirts)abd when I leant in to kiss her she asked what perfume I was wearing because it was lovely.

I think this is the issue with Fantasy - for a cheap perfume it has great sillage and teenage girls think more is more, hence why you can smell them from a mile away, why they can hardly open their eyes from the weight of their false eyelashes and mascara and why you can't see their beautiful glowing skin under all their foundation and powder.

Anyway - Fantasy is nice. Sorry for the earlier bad review.

I tend to have my own way of describing smells so...I recently tried this in a dept. store, and for me, I agree with Heatherine's review - sugar on top of sugar rolled in sugar ...On me this smelled like I rolled in a stale bag of sugar,........ BUT on my daughter (shes 20) after the initial spray which was almost abrasive, it smelled like she was just out of the shower only using powder and was holding a fresh cupcake with some delicious fruity topping. So considering body chemistry, the review on me - no. The review on her - absolutely. I'll be totally happy smelling it on her and sticking to something else for me.

It is kind of synthetic, that's true, but most modern sweet perfumes are.

It does smell like candy and white chocolate! And the drydown is a little bit powdery. Lasting power is really good. Maybe t is one of the most longlasting perfumes I ever had.

I don't find it cloying as others mentioned. Maybe it not special, but not all perfumes have to be special. This one is outgoing and easy-to-wear! I only hope that the presentation wasn't that kitsch!

An added note on my comment about my associating vanilla with comfort scents as opposed to sweet fruity scents, I didn't mean to make it sound like fantasy is strictly sugary fruits, I get a lot of vanilla with fantasy as well! Divine :)

As a teen of the 90's, I associate a lot of fond memories with the younger Britney and recall memories of singing and dancing to her early music videos lol :D Some of these memories are quite funny come to think of it! Britney Spears has some of the best fragrances of all the celebrity perfumes!

I always thought that Circus was my favorite but my bottle of fantasy is almost gone and my bottle of circus still has a lot of juice in it, and I bought them at the same time.

The white chocolate note is what really sets fantasy apart from other fruity gourmand fragrances. The sweetness of the red berries is grounded by sweet deep musk and the white chocolate lasts from the top notes to the base and takes this fragrance to another dimension!

I wear this running errands and at bed time since fantasy might offend my coworker at my office. We all know too well about perfume etiquette at work ;) This is quite strong if you spray too much, 2-3 sprays lasts me all day!

This is delicious and comforting! I usually associate vanilla with comfort scents, not fruity sweet scents, but how can you go wrong with chocolate? Mmmmm a sweet olfactory sugar induced coma hits the spot every time I wear this!

BTW, this does smell nearly identical to pink sugar sensual. Fantasy is more sugary fruits while pink sugar sensual is all about the sugar and some marshmallow, otherwise they are twin sisters! I like fantasy better :)

This perfume has so many good reviews - I just had to try it but I guess I was expecting too much.

As much as I like sweet perfumes this one failed for me. My skin smell synthetic like a cheap bubble gum someone has already chewed for half hour. It is powdery and plasticky and lacks freshness. Gives you the impression you are in a room with lots of women wearing powder and sweet perfume and all the windows are shut. You just want to get out and fill your lungs with fresh air.
I would never say that it is a smell of a teenage girl. I imagine a middle age lady dressed in pink in a desperate attempt to look and feel younger. sorry girls - it is just not for me -((

I love love love this perfume!!! It is the most sweetest you can be!!!

Bought it when I had my first wages as sales asst. The pink bottle, almost fuschia really got my attention. The box was pretty too. The combination colour of the box made me kept the bottle in the box for quite sometimes. Although it was such a bright neon coloured perfume bottle, it didn't look tacky. Just really nice. And such easy to hold. Appreciate it.

The smell; it was such an innocent yet so delicious, I feel like licking myself. And it attracts people. Everyone loved it. Really made me feel like a cute cotton candy! Wooot woooot!

And yeah, what an easiest way to uplift your mood to chirpy spirit. It got me smiling all day like I am crazy. Total worth!!! :D

This scent is definitely for all the girls who grew up loving Barbie dolls and barbie perfumes. It's a little bit zesty and tart in the opening with the litchi and kiwi but the middle notes and base notes are beautiful and make you smell like yummy vanilla baked goods.

I have this perfume and just love it, it is very sweet and soft and alluring scent. The scent stays all day and it still smells as good as if I just put it on after wearing it all day............. Love it...........all of Britney's perfume are very good love them all but (this one is my fav) i;m going to order midnight fantasy here soon and I;m sure I will love it just as much because I read the reviews of how sweet it is and it also has Iris in it and many other Delicious ingredients that make up the beautiful scent. Even though I love smelling like a huge cupcake, I'm not a huge fan of this fragrance. I feel like the bottle is an exact representation of this perfume. Very sweet, with a lot of little pieces of like spiciness in it. I've had it for a while and used to think I LOVED it, probably just because it was from Britney Spears. But now, I'm not a big fan. I really like it, but I don't love it. I prefer Pink Sugar. I like this perfume after the top notes are mostly all gone, I think the red litchi just makes it kind of annoying. :/

This is loud and sweet and definitely noticeable.
Good for clubbing because of a good lasting power... but one has to use it in moderation otherwise it could be like ´weapon of mass destruction´

The original Fantasy is by far my least favorite of all the Fantasies. I don't hate it, but I find it to be too heady and cloying. I have a very tiny bottle of this, and I only wear it around the house when I know I won't be going anywhere and I just feel like snuggling up in bed on a cold day.

When I first got the bottle, I honestly hated it. I couldn't pick up on any of the gourmand or fruity notes; all I smelled were the heavy florals and musk. I thought it was a mess of a fragrance. Eventually, I think my nose got used to it, and I finally started to pick up on the gourmand qualities. The white chocolate is now the dominant note I pick up on this, along with the musk and the red litchi.

The white chocolate really makes this a sugary sweet, candy-like fragrance. It's a candy floral! I don't dislike it like I used to, but it's still far from being a favorite. I still think it's too heavy for me to wear out, personally. I much prefer Hidden Fantasy and Midnight Fantasy.

Abominable !! I got it as a gift.. Tried it and realized that I know this smell..that I keep getting whiffs of it EVERYWHERE :( ... I don't like this coz it is common..I just don't like it coz fruity combined with sickening sweet perfumes are just not for me... It lacks depth.. I could smell it on me for quite some time... good longevity.. but oh well..not every perfume out there will suit me...

I picked up a roll-on bottle for $5 (cheaper than a sample from ebay). I have decided this is much, much too sweet for my taste. On the club boards, one member (forgive me I can't remember their board name) described it along the lines of: "Smells like sugar, dipped in sugar and then rolled in sugar. I thought I smelled some sugar but that could have just been the sugar." Ditto!

I have never brought this perfume but i have smelt it in the shops a few times. it's so sweet and sugary and fruity, it's smell like tropical fruit dipped in white chocolate. i love it but i never got it becausee lots of people have it and i like having something different to other people but i will get it because i adore the scent :)

This perfume is very popular among very young girls. This is why, us, older ladies can take perfect advantage of this little gem...None of our friends will turn to this as they will think they're too old for it! But how wrong can they be...

Firstly, Fantasy is a great quality for your money. I'd even say it's better than some designer perfumes. It has all you can ask for - complexity; the scent changes throughout the day and there is a very distinct drydown, longevity; it lasts and last, projection; it's noticeable but in the most great way - it's not a smack in the face, it's an inviting hand to come closer!

I find that you really have to get to know Fantasy before you make a judgement on her. She is your typical woman - she can sting you but can also be loving and irresistible. When you spray this fragrance at first, you are met with tart kiwi fruit. It is like an intoxicating bite... Very sharp and quite stingy to your nose. After some time, Fantasy transforms completely into a sugary overload - the white chocolate element becomes very apparent, spreads on your body like the venom which has been injected by the initial sting. It takes you to a trans-like stage where the sweetness would be too much, yet you enjoy it and embrace it...

I love Fantasy with all my heart. If there is anything bad to say about it it is the fact that for me it lacks the 'bad girl' factor. It is a peculiar pleasure smelling this fragrance but I find it's purpose is very much limited due to this very reason - it's so special and unique you can only find a few images that go with this scent.

This fragrance is amazing! I've bought a bottle before AND will buy again! This time I will buy a lotion to go with it, that way I can be a sweet walking ball of cotton candy and fairy cakes :D

Fantasy is sweet, simple, fun and immature. Nice fragrance for the ones who love cotton-candy sweet. The fragrance stays pretty much the same all the time, staying power is very good- approx. 8-9 hours.

To all the Pink Sugar fans out there this is an absolute must buy. More fruity than Pink Sugar and the exact same dry-down after a couple of hours. Delicious!

I am not a perfume snob and what ever smells good is fine with me, I love anything sweet and fruity so this ticks the boxes and it lasts all day so its great. One of my long standing fragrances.

FANTASY opens with fruity scents of lychee, quince and kiwi. Sweet, but not sickly sweet. The fruit isn't as overpowering in it's sweetness as FANTASY's flanker Midnight Fantasy, so if you don't like that it's still worth testing this.

The key note of vanilla cupcake lingers from the heart to the base, giving FANTASY a lovely warmth that whispers "come closer" to passers by - making this perfect for people who work in public based settings as you'll seem even more approachable. Of cause; FANTASY is also superb for when you're feeling flirty ;)


Seriously, can cupcakes and chocolate ever be a bad thing? I admit I was a little wary of trying FANTASY - I suffer from migraines so can't wear many sweeter fragrances. However; I'm pleased to say that's not the case with FANTASY. The fact that this is in a pink, diamante studded bottle and has the name Britney Spears attached makes this seem like just another 'tween' release, but I think women of any age can wear this. I seriously think that FANTASY is a modern classic in the making.

Finally: FANTASY always seems to be on offer in stores, so an already reasonably priced perfume becomes a bargain.

My sister bought this as a birthday gift. I love the packaging and fell in love immediately with its sweet vanilla scent. It lasts for quite a while. Could be a bit empowering to those who dislike sweet scent. But I have to say this is one of my favorite perfume and will continue to buy it.

dness92, Fantasy is pretty sour-sweet to me as well, but with time, the white chocolate creaminess becomes a little more prominent. I feel like there's more kiwi and litchi here, and the white chocolate mainly gives this scent a creamy base to add some yummy 'texture'. I do love this scent, but often wish that the tangy kiwi was less prominent, so that I could get more of the white chocolate. I think Fancy and Can Can are sweeter without any sour note, but Fantasy is still 'thicker' and 'creamier' in comparison. You could try Pink Sugar, there's some bitter-sweet licorice in it, but aside from the brief citrusy opening, it doesn't have the sour/fruit note you smell in Fantasy.

I love love love this perfume! It's Britney's best to date. Only frustrating thing is that I can only find the mini 15mL bottle in where I live.

Gorgeous perfume that draws you in immediately. It's sweet, fruity and delicious. The muskiness is evident after it's been applied to your skin, but it is not overpowering. What's funny is I cannot identify any of the separate scents in this perfume. All I can say is it's sweet, floral and makes you feel innocent and sinful at the same time. Buy this perfume, I know you'll love it!

I am a fan of pink sugar, but this one has an added twist/dimension. Lasting power is not so great though. Too bad they don't have a purse version here as it needs to be reapplied every hour

When this perfume is alone, I kind of feel like its missing something . But when I layer this with Ralph Lauren Hot , it turns into something magical ! I got a lot of compliments from men , who said it smelled amazing on me . I wouldn`t wear this fragrance alone .

I actually love Fantasy! It has long lasting power. I do agree with some of the reviews that it reminds me of Pink Sugar. I also think the bottle is so cute.

I really do love this perfume. I avoided it for a long time, thinking it was more for teenagers and early 20-somethings instead of late 20-early 30's, which is the group I am in. But now I know I couldn't be more wrong. In fact, I don't think any one age group could claim this fragrance, it works very well on anyone. I enjoy every aspect of this perfume, but I have to admit the spray itself and the immediate ten minutes following it are my favorite part of the fragrance. I wish it smelled like that the whole time and as strong, as it really fades out after about 4-5 hours.

This is a very nice perfume for the evening and parties. It is very noticeable and strong. Wearing this perfume I have received the most compliments. For me it reminds of fruits, candy and vanilla.
I prefer to wear it in winter. During the summer it is a little bit to strong for me.

I ADORE this fragrance!!! A perfect mix of sweet, floral and fruity notes! When i first spray it on, I get this almost sour but yet interesting scent of kiwi and probably the lychee. Then after afew minutes, it turns into a sweet cupcake like smell that constantly has me smelling my wrist! What I notice though, is that, on my skin, it starts getting a little bit fresh but still sweet. Almost like a shampoo smell but still sweet. Sounds weird but smells amazing! I love how this fragrance is innocent, but can also give off a sexy sort of smell and make any girl feel good about herself while wearing this. It gives me that boost of confidence, but also that cozy comforting feeling. Perfect for casual everyday wear, but especially if hanging out with that speecial guy. First of all i found the combination of litchi, kiwi and white chocolate very interesting. It gives the perfume an edible touch and thanks to the fruity notes-some clear freshness.

Second of all the longevity....oh my God! it is marvellous!it is more than i could hope for -hours and hours and hours of pink Fantasy on my skin, clothes and hair.

This is one of my five favorite perfumes. Everytime I wear Fantasy I get complimented on how good I smell from men.

This perfume is very long-lasting in EDP form (6-8 hours) and has great lingering sillage. It also smells great on fabric.

When I first put on Fantasy I can instantly smell yellow cake with thick sweet white icing- yummy! After I wear Fantasy for awhile, the sweet yellow cake/white chocolate note subsides a bit and with it come notes of orris roots, orchid and litchi.

The bottle design of Fantasy isn't any worse than many I've saw lately. It reminds me of one of those pointy hats that princesses wear in old fairy tales. Not the greatest bottle design, but, I like it.

The dry-down is TO-DIE-FOR!!!!!!!!! And oh my gosh. I sprayed this perfume once onto my left wrist at 11am this morning, and guess what! It's 11PM!!! 12 hours later, I can STILL smell the heavenly dry-down on my wrist! GREAT STUFF FULLSTOP!!!

I went into a ulta today and I saw this tester sitting there, so I figured I hadn't smelled this perfme in a long time so I decided to spray it on myself. I've personally never owned this scent but i've always loved it. Yes, you can techinally catagorize this as a fruity floral but it's so much deeper than that. I saw a list of perfumes that this one is reminded of and I have to tell you, this perfume is unique to me. Yes it is considered sweet, and yes it is considered fruity. But to my nose, it's so much more sophisticated than people realize. The white chocolate adds a very much needed bite and substance to the kiwi and litchi. I don't see how this scent can't be worn by anyone and everyone, it's just so lovely.

I use to love it stayed really long and everyone would give me compliments non stop specially guys use to adore it;)i was surprised its possible to get so many compliments for perfume lol i had 100ml bottle it was a gift so having a break now because its so noticeable and u get fed up of it yourself even it was months ago ill defo buy it again in future.

people say that this is probably the most sweetest perfume they've ever smelt. personally, to me, the most sweetest perfume i've ever smelt was Fancy by Jessica Simpson and Aquolina's Pink Sugar! I personally think those two perfumes are way sweeter than this. maybe it's because of the tart fruits in this perfume that makes it less sweeter to my nose??

Fantasy very popular in my country. boys and girls everywhere wear it. I think this is one of the most sweet gourmand fragrance. I mean very very sweet. but also creamy and a bit comforting. With first spray are full of juicy litchi. and sweetness undertone. Middle and base notes will surround you with white chocolate/cup cake and make you feel like a walking dessert. It's really good and unique for a gourmand fan. If you can't stand very sweet fragrance, stay away from this.

The lasting power and sillage are really good. lasts more than 10 hours. I'm also find this fragrance quite offensive in summer. It can be cloying and suffocating people if you use too much on hot weather day.

The first time I tried this perfume I ended up returning it as I expected a cake-like scent yet there was a powdery note I couldn't get past.Fast forward to now and I decided to give it another try.Seeing the full list of notes NOW I see what I am smelling:Orris Root(one of the most powdery notes there is).I have to give the perfumers credit for combining such interesting notes and find it interesting that such a unique scent is not from a niche company-I wonder if people would give it more respect if it was?Overall I like it:just have to wait for the dry down when the orris calms down a bit and my need to sneeze fades;)
P.S. If you want to know exactly what orris smells like take a whiff of Prada Infusion d'Iris:iris and orris are the same...

I'm always on the look out for a perfume that smells like candy. "Fantasy" gets an "A+" from me. It's sweet, candy scent is sexy, playful and fun! Who wouldn't want to smell like a piece of candy? My husband loves it on me. I also like "Lollipop" by Mariah Carey and "Thinking of You" by Mary Kay. And almost everything from Victoria Secretes smells wonderful, they have so many scents that smell like candy. Going there is like taking your nose to a play ground. FUN FUN FUN !!!!

I think this is the perfect fragrance for girls under 22 years old. I am 31 at the moment and my husband gave this perfume to me as a present a couple of years ago because he loves it, so I wear it only at home for him because it is definitely too "young" for me. I love it though and I think if I were 20 I would wear it very often.

I adore this perfume. Generally I like light, clean, fruity scents...and usually I hate sweet smells. But this scent, I am convinced that no one on the planet could dislike it. It dries down to a creamy delicious mouthwatering scent that reminds me of the most wonderful vanilla cake with whipped cream frosting and lightly sprinkled with coconut flakes. Just delicious. Makes me crave a sweet light dessert. I don't find it heavy or cloying, just spray lightly in moderation and it is fabulous. About 30 minutes to a hour after the first spray it has turned into a sweet cream vanilla...you will want to take a bite out of your arm! It is so comforting and pleasant. A perfect day time scent. A masterpiece!

very fruity!!!! like it very much!!!

This is a nice perfume, but nothing special. I also have Curious and it isn't terribly different from that. It works well with my body chemistry. It doesn't last very long on me. It lacks something. Maybe it is not complex enough for my preference. Also it smells like something you would smell on lots of people, a common perfume, not unique. I prefer a unique smell, and love chypres, and this is not at all my preference. It is definitely casual and youthful. Good qualities. So, a good scent, but not a great one.

I'm not the demographic for Brit's scents at all. Mid 30's, not really a fan of her music. Also, I'm not a fan of the whole gourmand group of fragrances. If I want to smell food, I'll get some food...
I am so embarassed to admit that I carry a torch for this fragrance. It is so extremely gourmand... It's ridiculously sweet, like a spoonful of Karo syrup. But wrapped in that sweetness is jasmine and musk that reveal themselves after the sweet sugary settles. It's a perfect day time scent. Spray it in the morning, when you're half asleep and crabby, and that sugar will give you a smile. It will slowly settle, and by the time you get to work, it's working the jasmine and musk, and smells so divinely wonderful, blending with your skin, you'll want to wear it everyday.

This is a second review for me. I always keep Fantasy in my collection. Why? Well, it's a comfort scent to me. I just love the aroma of this! It's oh so yummy and delicious, making it my favorite gourmand scent. I wear the body lotion and I always get lots of compliments and it's very long-lasting too. I'm in my thirties, but I like that this scent is so youthful and carefree. My older sister wears it too and when I'm around my mom, she says "What is that yummy smell?" LOL My hubby likes it too. Strangely, out of all the scents I have (designer included), my husband actually prefers Brit's frags over the rest. He always says I smell so good when I wear them. To me, this is probably the most perfect sweet scent there is out there. I hope Brit continues to make more perfumes in the future as I own just about every one she has put out. :D

I've smelled so many sweet scents out there and this is by far my favorite. Its better than Pink Sugar and Can Can. So good!

I am not exactly a girl anymore and I adore this perfume ! It is delicious, flirty amd fun. Maybe a little naughty :) of all the fragrances I wear Fantasy is an attention getter. Men and women alike compliment me on it.

Its nice and the fantasy line has never disapointed me.
I'm definitely picking up on the White Chocolate but the fruity florals are pretty prominent as well.
My favorite one is still Hidden Fantasy though...I just LOVE that one :)

This fragrance is very sweet i can not put more than 3 sprays or at least i can't because i will sneeze and it will be too strong. I am not allergic but sometimes if more than 3 you could probably consider me allergic.

Despite the fact that I am nearly 26,this 'young' fragrance is my signature scent- for good reason! My boyfriend absolutely loves this and, even though he is often clueless about scent, recognises it when I or anyone else wears it.
The perfume is very sweet, but that seems to be what I am drawn to, I also have Amor Amor in my regular scent wardrobe.
Although I am often tempted by a more 'mature' perfume I keep coming back to this and have had a bottle every year since its release. Easily the best of the Britney fragrances!

Fantasy is liquid white chocolate in a bottle! delicious!

one night when i was wearing it around the house (just because i was craving for this lovely smell! hehe), my mum was sitting next to me on the sofa and asked, "what's this cookie smell? do you smell that?"

the cookie smell came from this perfume! hehe. it smells like white chocolate cookies with hints of tart fruits (kiwi and lychee).

Smells lovely, a young fun sweet sugary scent!
Its nice for days in winter but not summer, its just too sweet and heavy for summer!! Could get away with it out at night, but nothing formal its just not a sofisticated or appropriate scent for that.
It really is like food, when i smell it i think of something chocolatey and covered in sweets and sugar.

This is a pink sweet lollipop made of sugar, sugar and some artificial flavour enhancers :) There is something cute in it too so I guess if I was a 13 year old fan of Britney I would love it to bits..

I got given this as a birthday present, I don't really like it that much, I prefer Midnight fantasy. I personally find that this perfume has a strong synthetic smell and it gives you a headache. I couldn't actually smell any of the given notes either. However, if you enjoy sickly sweet smells, this might be for you. :) <3 xo

Britney Spears Fantasy - I am shocked really. I dislike celebrity perfumes, but this i really like its very sweet just wonderful.

just bought this one and i am loving it even though at first i felt it was too strong.great staying power.can still smell it even after more than 12hrs.would want to buy another bottle once this one is over.

Strong sweety-fruity notes, so noticeable and original. I´ve used this in the past (I have had 4 or 5 bottles); but now I´m feed up with this.

However, I think this is one of the most important perfumes in the fruity gourmand family of fragrances. Maybe this is not for me, but I´ve to recognice it´s a wonderful scent and not so expensive.

Do you like sweet fragrances? Do you want to get lots of compliments? Go try this!!

P.S: Far better than Aquolina´s Pink Sugar, no doubt at all

I love the sweet chocolatey smell in Fantasy. It is heavenly! It is a great scent for either dressy or casual occasions. A fun, but very attractive scent.

Very sweet and easy to pull off. So much better than Pink Sugar, to which it is often compared. It is more complex, rounded, creamy.

The lichee and kiwi combo isn't fresh, but balmy, warm, sugared, enjoyable. The standout note, though, really is the white chocolate. The hefty, creamy chocolate scent is lightly flowery and lasts all day. ALL DAY, seriously, and crazy sillage. Please ladies, don't over-do this, as it could get sickening. When dabbed on in strategic spots, it can be delicious.

I regretted buying Pink Sugar, but definitely do not regret Fantasy.

Este es un perfume efectivamente dulce. Pero la nota de salida me parecio como a un dulce muy artificial, hasta diria como algo plastico. Con el paso del tiempo el aroma dulce continuaba pero ya sin ese olor artificial tan molesto. El olor habia cambiado a un chocolate blanco o galletas glaseadas. Tiene buena longevidad. Asi que chicas si les gusta oler a a postre, prueben este perfume.

This one has a nice dry down that is soft and warm (yet generic smelling at the same time) but I just cant get past the sharp and sour top and middle notes. I know a lot of people like it but it just doesn't mesh well with me.

Does this come in an EDT? I swear that the perfume I tried at the store a couple of months ago is different from the one I bought yesterday. I'm returning it today because it's just too sweet on me. It's cloying. Maybe this is just a Winter scent and that's why I'm not tolerating it in the Spring.

I HAVE been in love with this perfume since the beginning when it came out in 2005. It's my signature scent, I have a very big perfume collection & I have to say Fantasy has the BEST staying power out of all the perfumes I have. I spray a fair amount of this on & it lasts & lasts. This is the only Britney Spears fragrance that I own & love, curious is nice aswell but the sprizer antique bottle is horrible at dispencing the fragrance so that is probably why I refrained from re purchasing. I find that Katy Perry's PURR has a very similar smell. I will own this forever FANTASY IS AMAZING!

Fantasy and Pink Sugar Sensual are so similar they are nearly identical. Fantasy is a bit creamier and more cupcake-like but I only notice this when I spray in the air or on clothes and not when sprayed on my skin. I smell a light powderiness that Pink Sugar Sensual doesn't have. They are both cute and extremely sweet with some slight differences however, Pink Sugar Sensual has lasting power over Fantasy which makes or breaks a fragrance for me. If this lasted longer (besides the generic, musky-sweet drydown) I probably would have preferred this scent.

First note is kiwi, for sure. Dries down to a sweet white chocolate note. Very fruity, very sweet, very feminine. I think it should come in a different bottle, though... that pink-genie bottle does not evoke the slightly tropical vibe of this perfume. Dry down is extremely sugary, like white chocolate.

Wore this a lot in school and got a few compliments on it but not many... was quite embarrassing to say that I was wearing Britney Spears haha. After a while noone noticed I wore it anymore though.
This is a very sweet and deep fragrance which really appeals to my nose but I've gone off this now and can't wear or stand it anymore. Some thing is not quite right. It was good while it lasted...

This was a blind buy, based on all the rave reviews I read here and on makeupalley. It's not available in physical stores, so I couldn't test it beforehand.

I got a 30 ml set with accompanying 50 ml shower gel and body lotion and I couldn't be happier. I paid more than Americans (damn Europe, everything is so much more expensive here), but it didn't break the bank. 17 pounds - which I actually didn't pay as my bf got it for me for Woman's Day LOL.

First of all, the bottle is just too cute for words. Yes, it's somewhat tacky and 'too' pink and girly, but it's adorable, especially in small sizes.

Second, the smell is very nice. More than that, it is delicious! I was worried that for not having tried it beforehand, I would be disappointed, but I wasn't. It's actually better than I expected.

Upon first spray I smell a berry-like fruit with a ton of alcohol, but that instantly disappears. Then, almost immediately, a sugary cotton-candy-like flavour pops in and stays strong. Ten minutes in and I smell berry fruit and sugary stuff. Half an hour later, a sweet intense type of flower comes in (the likes of gardenia, lily, orchid, jasmine - the kind that are strong and sweet, not fresh like hyacinths or lillies of the valley - a more summery flower, not a spring flower). So the middle note is now composed of berry-like fruit, sugary stuff and sweet intoxicating flower(s). As the time passes by, the scent mellows down and a more powdery note can be smelled. The powdery note along with the sugary stuff and sweet flower(s) will remain until the very end. These are the base notes.

As you can see, the perfume is quite linear. It's a floral gourmand. I dont' get any kiwi, quince, I don't know how litchi smells like. I don't smell any white chocolate! I was hoping for it, but no, at least not the kind of white choc you get at a candy shop. That's why it puzzled me to see so many people commenting on this note. I went to Elizabeth Arden's official website and read the notes. It says 'white chocolate ORCHID', so the flower, not the candy. Maybe it's a type of orchid?! Or it's just the comma missing? LOL

To me it's more of a sweet floral, than a fruity-floral. The gourmand part is based on the sugary stuff that holds from beginning to end. The drydown is amazing, I never thought I would like it. It is a bit on more of the generic side, I've smelled perfumes like these a billion times before, but if you apply it sparingly and in the right places, than it can be quite alluring. I actually like it more than my Burberry classic *shocked*, although it's not nearly as expensive-smelling and sophisticated as high-end perfumes.

All in all, a good buy. Try it, if you don't like you could always mist the linen with this, it will make the most delicious scent ever for sleeping in.

I can't stand fruity fragrances.. But I LOVE this one! By far the best food scented perfume. Very unique smelling and has great staying power. Very popular with the young girls. Perfect gift for your teenage daughter. I would buy this over Pink Sugar any day.

men would take a second glance everytime i had it on...i get lots of compliments everytime.. spray it on when going on a date to tease.. my own point of view.. doesnt smell elegant but worth it in terms of the attention I get...

I find this perfume to be very sweet, thick, heavy, and musky smelling. It was not very pleasant at first but it fades very nicely into a very soft and sweet smell.

I was very hesitant to buy this for MANY years because I thought buying a Brit. Spears perfume was kinda cheesy, cheap, and embarrassing. Well, to be honest, I wish I would have bought this when it came out! I LOVE sweet, gourmand scents, and this one is no exception. I was at Rite Aid and I had sprayed it on my wrist and I decided not to get it, but then I went home and about an hour later it was smelling really nice and I couldn't stop thinking about it. My husband was like, you smell so good! And he kept smelling me. So of course I had to get it!

Based on all the comments, and the comparison to other perfumes I love, I REALLY wanted to love this. I gave it 2 chances and today it was so cloying, I couldn't get away from it. I'm so disappointed. The smell was in my nostrils and driving me crazy until I washed it off. Bummer.

The first time I tested it, I disliked it so much it made my stomach turn into a knot. But I had already bought a 100ml bottle, so I decided to sell it. As I couldn't sell it, I decided I'd have to use it anyway or I would lose the money I spent. Now, I just can't live without it!! It's one of my favorite fragrances ever!!
It lasts for days if you allow it. Under my hair, if I don't wash it for 2 days, I can smell it for 2 days!! On clothes, maybe you could smell it for weeks!

It's sweet like candy. For those who doesn't like this because it's too sweet when sprayed to neck, try to spray it to hand/other part! It gives different & fresher smell.

I have to say, I don't care that this is a celebrity fragrance, my signature is a celebrity fragrance, so I don't discount them at all. But I really do not like this one.
It's is overwhelming and I am not one for strong fragrances. It is very very sweet and cloying, yet tart underneath with litchi and kiwi, both notes I don't like.
Staying power and sillage both amazing, so this really is a great buy if you like it. It is unfortunately not for me, but this is due to my own tastes.

I didn't try it on my skin before purchasing it but smells gorgeous on paper so just decided to buy it since it was on special. Was happy with it at first but now truly didn't like it at all! Gives me so much headache and I feel so dizzy whenever I used it. Way too sweet!Too cloying. Like I'm covered by candyfloss.It's still sitting on our shelve waiting to be used but might give it to my sister. The lotion I think is not bad at all.

EDIT: I tried it again today after a year and 1/2 sitting on my shelve. I am really cautious of not spraying it too much and I layered it up with Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue. For some reason it works! I think it's because they are both Eliz Arden products. BS Fantasy still stands out but not not much and not cloying and I think I have to start wear it again coupling with EA 5th Ave:)

I cannot stand the sweet scents, in fact I hate them. After I read some reviews about high sweetness in this fragrance I've already decided to give it up, even don't try this. But yesterday I got a tester...and what a surprise...I realize that all those reviews are folly crap. I definitely do not think it a sweet fragrance at all. Certainly it has a hint of sweetness and it's white chocolate I feel in the background. And it sounds very good, cuz it adds elegance to this perfume...without it that would be too sour. In the forefront we can smell a bright Kiwi and Red Litchi. Sweet-sour, with hints of freshness. All of this makes a fragrance so incomparable.
Oh..."Fantasy" is absolutely true name cuz combination of scents awaken within you some energy, excites the imagination and opens the world full of wonders and a fairy tale.)))
P.S. Now I realized that shouldn't fully trust all reviews you were read. You have to test it be yourself and trust only your own feelings. Don't make up your mind before you try. )))

This is such a warm scent. I love the touch of white chocolate and a bit of vanilla. I also feel some kind of cotton candy. I love sweet scents! This can be used on anyone, anytime! Best of all, Fantasy can be used all year round! It doesn't matter if you want to wear it in the winter or the summer. It's perfect, perfect, perfect! AND, you can use it on any occasion! Whether you're going out, heading to school, or attending a party, Fantasy is the scent for everything!

The box is also very nicely designed! Too bad they took off the crystals and placed in regular silver rhinestones instead.

Smells delicious. I'd definitely recommend this! It's so feminine and sweet smelling. One of my favourites! If you want something sweet and sugary then this is the one for you! It also reminds me of marshmallows. ;) Probably my favourite fragrant out of all Britney scents! ;) ♥

This scent is a sociopath. Has superficial charm and allure but no depth. It is irresistible to other animals of its kind. Enticingly gourmand, it leaves a trail of cotton candy & teenage fantasy wafting around the white chocolate flavored lipgloss smears on the backseat. Easily seduces those who are drawn to the easily seduced. Watch out... but it has excellent lasting power.

For some reason this perfume smells like fruity pebbles cereal..lol. I love it tho very girly and fruity scent :)

this is the fragrance I get the most compliments on! guys and girls love this scent! it has that typical cotton candy and sugary scent that most celebrities have in there fragrances but with small hints of fruit that mix all together perfectly(that thing that makes it stand out) it smells very sexy but casual at the same time

very very sweet. I could't wear it every day, but sometimes in winter i like it. After few minutes the sweetness become more comfotable, but have to be careful with the quantity. Less is more.

Yuck!! On me it DID smell like leather and fake strawberry syrup. GROSS and I love fruity perfumes boo I was so looking forward to this.

I got this as a gift, and wasn't sure what to expect... I was never one to be into Britney Spears fragrances. I didn't spray it in front of the person who gave it to me; I was positive I would make a face that made it plain that it was awful, and hurt the feelings of the person who gave it to me.

I was right. As soon as it touched my skin, I was struck by the most awful smell! It was so strong, and alcohol-y, with way too much musk.

However, after about 10 minutes, I decided to smell my wrist again, and found it had changed dramatically. It was now an innocent yet seductive scent, that I found very captivating. It had some sugar, and a little bit of fruit. I also got so many compliments after I walked back into the room. I now love this perfume because it is a perfect mix of sweet and sexy.

To those of you who spray it and hate it: Wait a few minutes. Trust me, it's worth it. Adorable bottle, too! And lasts almost the whole day! An amazing gift.
