Apricot & Almond is a blend of English flowers and exotic fruits with sweet almond. A truly luxurious scent; sophisticated, classic and timeless. It is available as 50 ml EDT, 250 ml eau de cologne and additional body care line.
I am not fond of smelling solely of fruit (except for well made citrus in summer months) but I have always liked apricots so I had to try this.
I do like it - I get mostly apricot from it, not much tropical fruit - at least not to my nose. Almond is hard to distinguish and the floral notes are subtle. So I really do get apricot and am rather puzzled by some of the other reviewers who did not smell it. I also think this is not at all loud and is really quite pleasant, and believe me, I am sensitive to the loud scents. I wonder if body chemistry is playing a bigger role than usual here in how we are all interpreting this one?
I agree with you ladies who say there's no almond or apricot going on in this perfume but I like this inexpensive little English number. True, it's rather indistinct but it's pleasant, dense and has tenacity.
I recently got a sample of Tocade, having been dying to try it for months. When I put some on I decided not to buy a bottle because it seemed so similar to Bronnley's A and A. Maybe my nose was tuckered out from smelling several fragrances that day and others might smell no relationship at all between the two but to me there was enought similarity there to make buying Tocade redundant.
I moved the bottle of Bronnley's Apricot and Almond from its position behind the other perfumes to a more prominent place so I'll remember to use it more often.
I had a similar experience with this one to scorpiosheep's - no hint of either apricot or almond, just a very sharp, green, and even borderline aquatic non-descriptness. I think it's the "tropical fruit", whichever it is (vaguely reminds me of very unripe papaya), that's responsible for this mess. But I would still recommend to those seeking apricot & almonds in this to try it - my guess is that chemistry plays a particularly important role here, and it just so happens that tropical fruit never comes out right on me.
Well if "English flowers" smell like this I would have a headache all the time. I desperately wanted this to be an apricot smell and an almond smell. What I got was a shout and a scream. Too harsh even to identify notes. I wish I had had pure auburn's "delicate" experience. If anyone wants it please message me.
very delicate and feminine cologne scent. it can fade so is nice in colder weather to me. gentle and sweet.
