All dressed in red, Burberry Brit gives away its new sensual, oriental aura. A year after releasing the elegant Burberry Brit perfume, the house of Burberry introduces the new, limited edition of this fragrance, christened- Burberry Brit Red. The composition became deeper, more sensual thanks to ‘the nose’ Nathalie Gracia Cetto. It detained its eccentric character. Red roses, rhubarb and gingerbread are the theme of this perfume..Top notes include fresh jasmine, mandarine and rhubarb. The heart contains the intense red rose, gingerbread and patchouli. The base is made of benzoin, sandalwood, and vanilla bean. It was created in 2004. The nose behind this fragrance is Nathalie Gracia-Cetto.

ahhha the initial blast is like a fresh warm rhubarber pie!!! so delicious sweet-sour with the juicy mandarin component. hmmm love it!!!!
i did treat myself with this at least with 10 sprays everywhere. after 10 minutes a slightly spicy ginger-rose with mossy patchouli mingels into the fruity delight. at this state i still thought this is a gem. but after an hour the base reminds very soft with benzoin-vanilla and some hints of patchouli, nothing else, no depht at all...
i m disappointed because 1st thing, it doesn t last very long and 2nd the basenotes are just to weak and flat :( it started out than promising to end in a simply patchouli-vanilla with a more than decent sillage. not impressed. :(
maybe i should try it on clothes or hair by next time.
Such a joyfull, happy, young scent! The rubuhrb note is very young and playful to me. It has a strong opening, lots of rubhurb, also some ginger. Its not desturbing, but pretty unik. After a while it gets more warm and the vanilla kicks in, very plesant actually, still strong on the rubuhrb note though. I really like this one, but I have a hard time figuaring out when Im going to wear it.. IMO it has a very young feel to it witch dosnt go well with my usuall taste, no matter how much I enjoy it, I have to realise that Im not going to use this one. I would however LOVE to smell brit gold, I keep my fingers crossed for that one insted!
This Red version of Brit really surprised me! I did not expect much, and now, I am inlove with this..
It´s very cozy and warm, almost immediately reminded me of fall full of brown and orange and red..I imagine myself wearing pale brown coat, cozy boots, sweater..and this perfume <3 It´s so lovely! Very "welcoming" !
I love that fresh spicy ginger/rhubarb opening, juicy mandarine and that cozy comforting sweet vanilla in the drydown!!
Thanks to Mel for sending me that sample! :)
I had this sample hanging around in my collection and dismissed it as one I may get round to testing one day (Burberry mumble mumble).
It got drawn out randomly for an evening test, I sprayed it on and laughed out loud, rhubarb crumble and custard! I group it with Pure Purple, L de Lolita and Trouble as fruity vanillas for comfort and fun but I would like to own a bigger bottle of this, it ain't a work of art but it sure is fun!
UPDATE: Splashed out on a 30ml bottle. Today I find the rose and patchouli facet very evident. What a happy fragrance, can't get enough of it...far more interesting than I first perceived.
9 hours after applying and still surrounded by a fluffy aura of fruity vanilla.
Mmmmm.....I love the rhubarb/ginger opening, like coming home to find your mother making you a delicious warming dessert on a cold day.
The dry down is soft, warm and welcoming after the rather sharp, in your face opening. The vanilla overlying the rhubarb and ginger makes it almost cakey. It certainly is delicious. Its a really cold but dry day here today and Brit Red is going to be perfect.
Unfortunately, on my skin, it just doesn't last long enough. It lasts well on my clothes though so my shirt always gets a generous squirt too.
This edp i really cozy. It has very pleasant and unusual sour note of rhubarb, very distinctive in the top notes. And there is also warm, sweet and cheering smell of vanilla cake in the background. And that would be it. Maybe I can detect shade of jasmine sometimes but rarely. It's not complicated fragrance. But it is undoubtedly wonderful and charming. I really enjoy wearing it. The bottle is lovely too. Simple in its shape and monochromatic with this adorable checkered pattern. It is such a shame it was only limited edition. I'm going to get a bottle eventually.
Burberry Brit Red was one of my most successful blind buys.
The fragrance is somewhat surprising - you know that rhubarb and ginger were blended into the composition, but the fragrant outcome will still, well, you guessed it, surprise you!
Brit Red starts out with rhubarb, mandarin and jasmine.
The heart is composed of ginger, patchouli and rose.
Vanilla and benzoin form the fragrant base.
On initial spray I smell rhubarb and ginger.
It feels a little sharp at first but the sharpness settles within moments.
I do not notice any jasmine but after a few minutes the juiciness of the mandarins becomes apparent.
The rhubarb is only mildly crisp so I figure that the mandarin sweetens it a bit.
Still, the rhubarb note comes across as a little zesty and spicy which must be the ginger coming through.
The warm and earthy patchouli is noticeable after some time has passed and blends wonderfully with the rhubarb and ginger.
At this point Brit Red makes me think of autumn, leaves and conkers!
A hint of sweet vanilla and warm benzoin make the unusual composition even more lovable and, dare I say, a little cuddly.
All in all, Brit Red is 50% tamed rhubarb, 20% ginger, 20% patchouli and 10% sweetness.
Brit Red will make you smell beautiful for at least half a day with slightly above average projection.
Definitely a fragrance for the colder season, for day and night wear.
This perfume smells so good on my skin that when I sampled it, I kept smelling my wrist all day long. My husband bought me a bottle. The smell is so comforting. I want to snuggle when I wear this scent.
I'm sad that this was a limited edition because I don't know what I'll do when I run out. Does anyone know what other perfume smells like Burberry Brit Red?
I bought Brit Red(unsniffed)online based on reviews for two reasons:I was looking for a new winter/Christmas perfume and I just couldn't resist the beautiful, red glass bottle. My only fear was that the rhubard would be too strong.I decided that if this perfume even came close to some Yankee Candle roomspray, I'd give it away, but no,I've found myself a WONDERFUL winterperfume!
As many others have said, the rhubarb is somewhat strong at first, but within a few minutes it blends in so nicely with the ginger/vanilla. Then after a lttle while I sense some spices that gives the perfume a little "personality". On my skin Brit Red stays pretty much the same way for the next couple of hours, which is great since I love how it smells right from the start.
I'd probably only wear BR during wintertime. The drydown is soft and warm and incredibly inviting. Out of all Burberry perfumes I've tried, this is THE ONE: My new favorite for snuggling down in front of the fireplace on a cold winternight;)
It's always hard to write a review of a very beloved fragrance because we are always afraid of not doing justice to the treasure we adore. Brit Red is one of my favorite perfumes, I discovered it last year in one of my most successful blind buys after the suggestion of some very knowledgeable Fragranticans.
Some of you described BR as a niche fragrance, and it has that real taste to me, as well, since it’s a delicious, unique, astonishing limited edition. Of course when a perfume is already discontinued or very hard to find it becomes more appealing and BR is no exception. I loved it from the first smell, to me it’s a perfect “round” perfume, no edge, no sour ingredients, only warm spices and sweet vanilla. Rhubarb is quite prominent and contributes to make Brit Red unique, mandarine orange is also one of the main characters, while the floral side is almost absent. I don’t detect any jasmine nor rose, but I enjoy and sniff with such pleasure the benzoin, the ginger and the vanilla.
The color I associate with BR is actually gold, not red, but in both cases it’s a warm and joyful color.
It’s definitely a Christmas fragrance, not only winter, I would certainly say Christmas fragrance, it’s a very smooth warm fragrance to enjoy in this period of the year with special feelings, it’s not a common fragrance, I’d say nothing is similar to Brit Red.
Rhuburb!!
From vegetable rhubarb to rhubarb cake ;) but really it isn't that simple, it's a great rich and layered oriental!
I've been refreshing the fragrance today and I'm surprised it smells even better than I remembered it. Tastes change :)I've always liked Red but nowadays I like it very much. Who wants a spice in a fragrance, has it here - a nice ginger. I'm into spices so I'm glad I've rediscovered it in here.
The fragrance starts in a strong hit of rhubarb and vanilla, it's the time when rhubarb is the most prominent - then the fragrance is something like a spicy rhubarb cake but not truly edible (that's nice!). What comes afterwards is a great oriental spicy RED scent and I haven't found many orientals in red.
I don't detect much of patchouli, benzoin and rose - actually "rose doesn't exist" and that's good. Sillage is good. Lasting power too. Brit Red is great for cold days, day and night.
Actually it's one and only Burberry fragrance I truly like! Brit Red doesn't build a story in my mind like some fragrances do - but it is an interesting view of an oriental scent really, a twisted one - still very good.
This one I found absolutely repellent. I LOVE Brit and Brit Gold, two of my all-time favorite scents, but Red is, to me, horrible.
it's too warm and sweet. have it for 3 years, still couldn't finish it. cos it's not my style.
I like the fragrance. I even had a bottle, nowadays I stay by my samples :)
It's a different oriental because of the rhubarb that goes ahead all notes. Vegetable - vanilla oriental :D as if I sniffed a rhubarb cake - but spices make it oriental too. It really feels red. I like using it from time to time during cold days because B. B. R. is cosy :) It's rather an everyday scent and it isn't sexy, it's just quite funny and oriental at once. The bottle looks good but not excellent.
Annoyingly headachy heavy in blunt spices.
To be honest I expected so much more from it because I love Gold and consider it a masterpiece.
Burberry Brit Red is a very nice sweet oriental. The rhubarb note is very interesting and makes it stand out among other orientals. But it doesn't rise above the casual fragrance bar, because its sillage is a bit shy on my skin and it doesn't make strong enough statement overall.
Nevertheless a lovely fragrance for colder days.
Edit: the drydown is really wonderful though after ginger and orange kick in....reminds me of D'or by Kristel Saint Martin.
I love this one so much . The rubarb to me is very prominant in the begining, so fresh and real, And then it goes in to meet ginger and vanilla. They blend beutiful togehter making a symphonie i realy like . I cant stop sniffing, he he.
The benzoin also whit vanilla makes it waarmer, sweeter but not in any way to much.
I can feel the Jasmin lingers behind there, Rose, not so much neather Patcholie IMO. but the citrus lingers in here to to make it just right.
I wished it stayed on stronger on my skin, There is sme vanilla vents that just sink into my skin, and thi is one off them , i have to reaply often. but that does not matter that much , because i realy love the opening .
It has the same feel to it as Hard Candy whit the Rubarb note , but not very alike in there rest off the matter.
A stayer in my collection
Burberry Brit was a pleasant surprise. I had ordered a sample, along with other burberry perfumes, out of curiosity.
I instantly recognized the tart freshness of rhubarb which is one of my favorite cooked fruit. It aroused memories of my childhood... my grandmother used to add bananas in her pies to soften the acidity. In Brit Red it is the vanilla and the caramel-like benzoin which sweeten the strong sour smell of rhubarb. Ginger adds a spicy note, not enough to become oriental IMO. Strangely I can smell cinnamon also.
I think the rose and jasmine are insignificant, crushed by the overpowering rhubarb and vanilla.
When it dries down I can still smell rhubarb blended with vanilla. Sweet, comforting, long-lasting.
Oh, I adore this perfume. A blind buy after seeing a bargain on eBay.
It is a cozy, winter scent which is reminiscent of grandma's home baked fruit pie with vanilla custard. A nice warming, gourmand hug of a perfume.
Brit Red can be difficult to find these days. For me it was an online blind buy, and luckily it turned out to be a great choice.
On me the mandarin orange and spiced rose are the strongest notes in the beginning. There is a bit of sharpness to it (rhubarb?) but that settles down once the fragrance has settled. Brit Red works best for me in the drydown, when the vanilla and benzoin base warms up and softens the whole fragrance. The lovely kick of ginger is present in this fragrance from beginning to end, although the vanilla does smooth it out somewhat in the drydown.
I don't find Brit Red to be particularly foody, but it is very warm and cozy. It is more spiced and deep than the original Brit and for that reason I would say it is best suited to fall and winter only.
I really enjoy Brit Red, although I would say the original Brit is a little more versatile in comparison as it can be worn year-round. Brit Red is an unusual fragrance that will not work for everyone, but that's part of what makes it so appealing. I'm very glad to have a bottle of this unique scent to wear in the colder months!
Brit Red is delicious stuff! I also get a bit of berry (raspberry I think) at the beginning.
This plays like a delectable slice of lightly spiced, tart rhubarb pie baked in a gritty, earthy crust. To finish, a topping of warm, subtley sweet citrus-vanilla custard.
Although I think of food, Brit Red is not overly gourmand. It maintains a clarity all the way without dumping a whole lot of calories on me. This also has great sillage and longevity making just one slice the perfect size serving!
I really love Burberry. This one is wonderful. Warm, deep and superfeminine. Not loud, no edgy notes. Just wonderful. Not to sweet, not heavy. In my opinion this one is perfect - always.
I smell a hint of berries at the top in this one. It is a lot deeper than the original. The vanilla is still there but darker and comes in a lot later. It is not at all bad but I prefer the original for now.
i have just got 100ml bottle of this one. i had such high hopes after reading all the great reveiws. Alas! it dosent suit me atall. so i have this one up for swap and also a 50ml of samsara. Both full bottles.
Very much of a misunderstood fragrance.
To me it is a niche (Brit Red has won the FIFI Niche award) - exceptionally unique and not easy to wear. Aimed at a specific group of niche fragrance lovers. May be hard to find in perfume stores but it wasn't created to be sold in millions.
Worth trying, even if the ginger or rhubarb note put you off. Certainly, you can detect the slight tartness of rhubarb and a gentle presence of ginger, yet these two are not dominating at all.
Very well created. Not overly sweet or fruity, it is rather more elegant, smart and serious.
One of the best ones I have ever tried. Not for the faint hearted, though.
Great lasting power and sillage.
May appeal to Kingdom by Alexander McQueen lovers.
This is by far my personal favorite burberry, after buying a small sample of it and trying it a couple times I went to amazon and picked up a 1.7 for around $30. Very pleasant and wearable, I wish they didnt discontinue it, but it is still easy to find on ebay/amazon for reasonable prices. I think the description of the fragrance is fitting and its easy to smell the notes described, but its also very very well blended. Fantastic lasting power, adorable bottle- I am smitten.
I also own brit, sheer and beat. Burberry makes unique easy to wear fumes of exceptional quality with a reasonable price point.
Burberry Brit Red smells absolutely delicious - it's sweet, cozy and warm, perfect for cold winter days.
I also think this is a better version of the original Brit, it has a bit more class and personality and it's actually quite a remarkable scent, in the spirit of Addict by Dior and Wish by Chopard. I've received numerous compliments on this one, which oddly enough, rarely happened before with my other perfumes.
It's got wonderful sillage and extraordinary longevity, what a pity it was only a limited edition...
A thick orientalized version of the original burberry brit. The rhubarb is quite prominent on me all the way through to the dry down which it very vanillic and sweet. Makes a good winter snuggler perfume.
Great longevity and projection.
Perfect for nights in the pub during the festive season. Guys can wear it, but no more that one spray! the sillage is pretty crazy as is the longevity.
Cosy and comforting.
I like the dry down the best--the beginning is very tart and too sour on my skin, probably from the rhubarb. Then the vanilla amps up and it dries down to this tangy vanilla cream goodness. Maybe the top notes will be more bearable during the winter...I'll have to try it then!
Rubharb pie and ginger snaps with vanilla custard. Comfort food. Simple and delicious. The bottle matches the juicy scent. Well done burberry!
This is a comfort scent for me. While the notes of gingerbread, rhubarb, vanilla, sandalwood and patchouli suggest that this fragrance be enjoyed in the fall and winter, I find myself turning to Brit Red throughout the year when the day promises to be particularly stressful or trying. I don’t get any spice from this (sigh), but a soft sweetness that’s somewhat gourmand. I don’t usually purchase a fragrance more than once (there are too many to try and enjoy!), but I do have a spare Brit Red on hand since this is a limited edition and becoming more and more difficult to find.
Initial spray has a strong rhubarb and orangy very zesty then floriantal part with rose and warm sweet note after that vanilla creammy bake pie ...very yummy it stay with me very long leave a very warm and cozy trace very good especially in a cold day or winter..I recommend.
my sister sprayed this one on her and it really smells nice !
the vanilla is very noticable along with a slight touch of floral background in the drydown
its projection and longetivity could have been improved though
i give this a 8/10 !
I received a sample of this one from Rebella - thank you! So much!
While it doesn't exactly remind me of rhubarb pie, I figure this is what candied rhubarb would smell like? Juicy, almost sour opening with rhubarb and citrus, lots of spicy heat from the ginger, all nicely blended in with the caramel-crunchy vanilla base.
An odd, funny scent that I'd label spicy gourmand instead of oriental floral. Very likable with lots of quirky personality!
ETA: Finally found it online! I was so worried about what to do after my sample ran out, since it's been discontinued for quite some time.
It's sweeter than I could ever imagine.
Note of rhubarb is very prominent, at first splash it allmost knocked me down with souriness, but scent becomes sweet very fast.
I like it, it's pleasant and warm (ginger adds spicy smell), but not exactly for me.
I love this!!! Got my sample today. I am loving the ginger that my skin is picking up alot. I am not sure that I know what rhubarb smells like but I cannot wait to order a full bottle of this potion!! Burberry can do NO wrong in my eyes..or nose!!
Ginger, vanilla, and... rhubarb! An unlikely combination even in the kitchen, but in a perfume?
In fact, BURBERRY BRIT RED, against all expections (which were perhaps admittedly low...) smells quite nice to me. As its bright red plaid bottle boldly proclaims, this is a holiday scent: to be worn at most twice each year, on Christmas Eve and, perhaps, again on Christmas morning! Not to welcome Jesus Christ, mind you, but oh-so-secular Santa Claus.
This is a likeable fragrance to anyone who likes sweetness in moderation, at least when it comes to wearing it on their skin... And I do appreciate the novelty of this scent, now and then. To be precise: twice each year!
A good perfume to put you in the mood for...
baking!
After the tart rhubarb topnotes (very enjoyable!) fade, it becomes too sweet for my taste. It never gets really offensive, but I'd rather save up for something I really love.
So, so very beautiful. A sweet and mildly spicy vanilla fragrance which has all the class and sophistication of a true Burberry perfume.
While most of Burberry's fragrances are casual and Summery, Brit Red I would dare to wear to any formal event. I believe that I could never tire of this exquisite fragrance.
Brit Red is warm and comforting while at the same time it's incredibly sexy. It has all the appeal of a floral-scented perfume, yet the spicy kick from the rhubarb, ginger and patchouli makes this fragrance so different and so appealing.
For the life of me I cannot understand why they are discontinuing this fragrance. I test many scents, yet it has been quite a while since a fragrance of this kind has grabbed my attention. I do hope to purchase this fragrance so that I can wear it during Winter next year.
I must add that the lasting strength is amazing, lasted on my skin the whole day. The sillage is also good, not overpowering but heavy enough to leave a light trail. I cannot wait to get my hands on a bottle.
Having been prepared by the other reviewers for the sharp introduction of the fragrance, I found the rhubarb thoroughly engaging. I kept smelling my wrist as the fragrance made its way through the heart to the sultry base notes, and ohhhhh... I do love this fragrance.
Nice, spicy, warm, mildly sweet scent. One of the few perfumes that truly evokes memories of Christmas time. Mmm, gingerbread men and pine trees. ;') Wouldn't mind having a sample or a 1oz bottle solely for the holidays but not for regular use. Lasting power is good and it has a strong presence.
Red is Rhubarb and I love that it lasts through every stage.
Often fruity notes dissipate quickly leaving a disappointing musk or floral base but not Brit Red.
I congratulate Burberry on this complex blend of sweet ginger, sensual jasmine, juicy fruit and woody resins.
This perfume is sassy and fun. My nose drinks it up with fervent pleasure.
This Is It!! The fragrance I have been searching for, distinctive, light, long lasting with 'POP', pity it took this long and what I ended up finding was a discontinued line :(
Rhubarb gives Brit Red its 'pop' whilst the ginger softness and warmth. I would normally steer clear of vanilla but the addition of benzoin keeps any potential sugaryness at bay.
On my skin this makes an awesome summer scent, I don't experience the heavy heat others speak of.
Having also tried the original Brit I wish they'd discontinue that weak lackluster formula and keep Red.
*Brit Red is the most unique fragrance experience.
I didn't like this one so much! It's not horrible yet something about it reminded me of what my old neighbor lady used to wear and I didn't care for it. I will say this, Burberry fragrances last. And, although this one isn't for me, a lot of women prefer this Burberry scent.
Love this fragrance x
Ohh, I like this. My favourite fragrance for cold, snowy day. It doing, that I feel hot ;)
Cranberry with vanilla - mix for me ;)
And it is a very long fragrance :)
I am loving this scent!! Have you ever smelled Rhubarb crisp, hot from the oven? Thats what this scent reminds me of. We have two HUGE bunches of Rhubarb in our backyard and I make Rhubarb crisp out of it every year; the Rhubarb in Brit Red reminds me of that crisp, probably because of the spicy-vanilla notes. This is delicious....and when my hubby did his obligatory sniff of my wrist today, he said, "Yum.....what is that?" This from a man who rarely likes my perfumes and NEVER asks what perfume it is!! A keeper, FBW in every way!
This scent is soo nice, one just has to grow into it. It reminds me of 'Diamonds and Rubies' by Elizabeth Taylor with the spiciness and all. Overall, a very rich and warm fragrance.
This one is really nice, easy to wear and easy to like. The rhubarb topnotes are so juicy and and mouthwatering, make me longing for home made rhubarb pie.
After a while the rhubarb fades and mixes with soft spices and become warmer, richer and very comforting.
Can be found ridicoulusly cheap on the net, a bargain really. I would love to have a big bottle in my collection, it´s a happy, nice and non-offensiv casual fragrance... But it isn´t like woooow... Pretty and good enough.
on my skin ,this perfume wasnt special or significant at all !!! as i found it a usual fresh fruity floral perfume ..i liked more burberry brit
I agree with Lorena this one is also one of my new favorite fragrances.
The whole Burrberry Brit series is so great but this one impressed me a lot.I bought this fragrance blind and i would do it a second time.Wow i really enjoy to smell this now.The beginning is so great it's fresh and cute,i smell the mandarine and the softness of the jasmine and i really smell the rhubarb which smell like the rhubarb cake from my Mom,and then it becomes sweet and warm so warm it match perfect to the Bottle,it's really hot and comfortable and sensual.I smell the vanilla(it's sweet but not too sweet and bothersome) and the rose, the ginger only a bit.
I'm really happy that i get this special one.I'm so excited i forget what i want to write. This fragrances is really good for the colder day's but also good for the spring time.Brit Red is a scent for woman of all ages.It last very long. You can wear it in the daytime and it appeal pretty and warmhearted and it's also good for the nighttime then it appeals more sensual and irresistible. The Bottle is so cute and this wonderful red shows the passion and love of this fragrance.I don't want to miss this scent.
I bought a bottle two months ago and it has become one of my favorite perfumes ever. So warm and pleasant. Sweet and romantic. My husband loves when I wear it. It opens with high doses of vainilla and flowers and a sweet aroma like a kind of syrup.. and a moment later the spicy notes , which by the way are at "the right moment an in the right place" .. cut all the sweetnes in a gentle way, and make it smell a bit more floral .. I usually wear it in the morning but i belive it could be worn during the whole day. It has a wonderful staying power, and it is very noticeable because , people always ask me about the perfume I am wearing, sometimes after hours from the application. I really like it and I belive it is difficult to be dissapointed with this version.
I love it in small doses. It is strong and potent and curious. Kind of overpowered. I only like after its faded and mellowed for a couple hours. Spray sparingly - and only in winter months please. Its like a crazy exotic popurri shop. Whew!!
I like the idea of it... to spice up such a classical scent and make it sparklier and more youthful.
I just think they went over the top. too much rhubarb, too gourmand. it doesn't go well with the Brit concept.
oh yes, and it's way too sweet!
The rhubarb made what would otherwise be a nice perfume go wonky on me. It ended up smelling dirty and unpleasant.
Is it possible for a scent to tingle your nose? If I had to describe this perfume in one word it would be "hot". Red Hot Chili like the spiciest indian cousine. It feels and smells hot, not in the sexy sense but like fire, warmth.
I don't think it is like any other perfume I've smelled before. After the first impact, it has dried down to a powdery scent on me. Red is the right color for it. Not for the faint of heart.
This perfume stays for a long time. As others said before the ginger and the Rhuburb give it an unique touch. Very original and for night wear.
I must to say it: ¡ what a wonderful description Black Amber Moon!!!!!!
I am agree with you!!! :D
I am of the loving group of this fragrance :D Its spectacular
Brit Red is a fun, unique fragrance. It reminds me of a spicy tea you would drink in cool weather. In spite of some gourmand notes, it always retains a dry/green character - there is no vanilla overload. The rhubarb and mandarin make for a zippy, tangy opening. Jasmine and rose emerge later and add an elegant touch. The florals prevent Red from becoming too "foody". Gingerbread is present, but it doesn't overwhelm the scent. Patchouli is very clean. The base is soft and mellow with its smooth sandalwood and vanilla. Really fun to wear! Has a unique character, so definitely try before you buy. A love or hate fragrance...
So special fragrance... very interesting, cheerful... on my skin smell really pleasant :) And make me feel good, confident and calm... its sensual too :)
its interesting to read how different perfumes develop on different people...i don't smell 'sweat' or 'pot' in this (i think green peppers when you pass them in the produce department smell like pot) this perfume smells opulent and warm to me with the ginger and rhubarb combining beautifully on my skin and the vanilla lingering softly for quite a few hours. i have a mini that i carefully using drop by drop until i can get a full bottle! this is the first burberry scent to actually 'work' with my chemistry and i love it.
I really dont know what to think about this one. When i first sprayed it, it had a really disgusting smell that i cant describe. It was somthing like sweat and grass mixed together, but much worse. When i came closer to smell it from my wrist, i immidaitly had to turn my head away because of the horrible smell. However, about an hour later i smelled it and it smelled amazing. I gave my friends to try and small my wrist, and everyone loved it. Bottom line, I really dont know what to think. Guess its a mystery.
We all have different body chemistry and if it smells bad on one person, it will not necessarily smell bad on another.I am not a big buddy of Burberry, however, this one smells pleasant enough. Gingerbread, though not very sweet - with some green notes to it. Non offensive for sure.
I like it. I think it kinda smells like cannabis
(ps I don't say this to be offensive but because I really mean it...)
