This scent is dedicated to the memory the creator’s grandfather, the sawmill that he owned and the stone house where he lived. It features the notes of sawdust, hay, leather gloves, pipe tobacco, cotton and dirt.
It is available as 2 and 15 ml perfume absolute, 100 ml water perfume and 150 ml home spray. The nose behind this fragrance is Christopher Brosius.
I instantly pick up the mossy dirt and grass in this scent, and possible a hint of the sawdust. So far, so earthy. This scent feels a little flat compared with other fragrances from this House, and I would love to be able to pick up rich leather and tobacco notes but they just don't seem to be there or else evaporate before I can pick them up.
Sillage is minimal and the scent only lasts for a couple of hours then needs a top up. Oddly enough, once the initial spritz has evaporated, I'm left with a scent reminiscent of Michael Kors' original female fragrance. I don't know how that's possible, but there it is!
