Calvin Klein is launching a new fragrance for women, Beauty, which arrives on the market in October 2010. The fragrance was created to support Calvin Klein's clothes collection, with elegant fragrance composition which does not have plans to be seductive, like for example Euphoria and Obsession.
Elegance, sophistication, timelessness and beauty are in the first plan. The perfume is ideal for mature women who choose models from Calvin Klein collection and enjoy style and spirit of Klein collections. Beauty is a fragrance representing woman in her 40es, her beauty, maturity and self-esteem.
Composition of Beauty was inspired by gracious curves and beauty of calla lily. Beauty depicts internal beauty of a woman, her strength and spirit. The fragrance was created by Sophie Labbe, of such notes as ambrette seed in a top, jasmine in a heart and cedar-base.
The fragrances arrives in highly elegant flacons in three sizes - 30, 50 and 100ml, along with accompanying products – 200 ml perfumed body lotion and 200 ml perfumed bath and shower cream. Advertising campaign was made by Craig McDean in February 2010 in Berlin. Advertising face of the fragrance is Diane Kruger, dressed in a gorgeous elegant white dress which accentuates her femininity and figure in the advertising campaign.

Beauty Fragrance Reviews

I got a 1oz. bottle of this for a really good price at Ross. I wasn't really expecting too much as I'm not fond of many CK scents. I'm actually pretty impressed by Beauty. It's simple, light, and a beautifully blended floral. This is an everyday scent that doesn't overpower you. It's softer than most scents I wear, but I really enjoy it for warm spring days. If you need a scent that is light and not offensive to anyone, Beauty would be a good option.
*I think it's odd that it's marketed toward women over the age of 40 because I really think this is a scent that absolutely anyone of any age could wear. Not overly mature spelling at all.

This one surprised me a lot. CK fragrances normally do nothing for me. I find them generally too dull or too much. But this one was different.
Despite less than glowing reviews, I find Beauty to be just that, a beauty. Surrounded by a market full of fragrances that are extremes of one kind or another - be it heavy and cloying, spicy, sweet, fruity or indolic florals - I find Beauty deeply refreshing. I don't like my fragrance to be like a thick coat, I prefer it to be subtle. CK beauty is just that. It is understated and effortlessly elegant. It's just the right amount of everything: a delicate freshness, lightly floral -I believe it must be the calla lily as a soft lily scent is all I detect - the smallest dusting of powder and sweetness of ambrette and a hint of woodiness. Altogether it is lovely and very feminine. It is a fragrance, rather than a parfum, discreet and pretty. Though this may not appeal to everyone, I find it enchanting and inoffensive. While Beauty seems like a grand name, I think this is beauty pared back to minimalism, like a pretty face devoid of make-up. I'm not sure about the over 40 tag however, I'm the young end of 20s and I find this wonderful. It is ageless I feel, the way real beauty is.

I'm not getting "clean" from Beauty at all. I get thick, waxy jasmine. It's a tiny bit sweet too. It's exactly the kind of floral I like, but gives my BFF migraines. This is more or less a jasmine soliflore with an uninteresting, one dimensional detergent-musk drdown. It's very, very pretty and very one dimensional.

I was given a sample of Beauty with my last two fragrance purchases. On both occasions I found it to be far too soapy smelling and one-dimensional. By all means it is not an unpleasant smell, but there are no points of interest within the fragrance that make me want to try it any further.

A pretty scent that is like a politer version of White Diamonds, which is what it reminds me of. Certainly not as strong! A very pronounced Jasmine in the top note mellows but is always there. It doesn't evoke a strong emotional response- I neither love it nor hate it. This is a safe gift to get for your mother-in-law.

At first whiff this smelled so fresh and nice to me, but after a while it either disappears or becomes a bit to sweet. I think it is better if you only spray a little, because the jasmine can get pretty strong and tiresome.

When I first bought it I loved it at first then afterwards I was like o'h its okay nothing real fantastisic about it. It doesn't have great sillage and I even bought the shower gel, and body veil it doesn't even make it speak loud like I want it to. It evaporates and smells soapy in my opinion. Calvin Klein could have been a little bit more unique than to launch this parfum. Brittany Spears is perfume line is better than this one in terms of taste and appeal to the nose.

This is actually my mothers perfume, but since she's not opposed to sharing, I have been spraying it on myself from then and then, and I can't say I'm disappointed. It's very clean and simple, but at the same time noticeable. I guess the fragrance really suit it's name - if it were a woman, it would not be someone who put on a lot of makeup and daring clothes, it would just be a natural beauty with dewy skin, pink cheeks and clothes in light fabrics with inviting and soft shapes. But she would not be bold enough to approach the guy she has a crush on... instead she keeps in the shade, watching the others dance while she takes sips of her green tea. Kind of sad, but like some others mentioned, this is not a perfume you would wear to make yourself stand out. It's a soft and easygoing day perfume, meant for people who want to smell pleasant, but nothing more. Great for me though, as I am shy and don't want to be the center of attention, but still a bit too plain for a night out with the girls.
Good thing for my mom she's married, LOL.

I feel this is a realistic jasmine (i used to grow star jasmine). At first spray- i thought it was a big heady fragrance like poison that just blew my senses in an 80's way... For a few minutes. After drydown, I got my sensory bearings back, and i realized it was just a very pure, creamy, spicy ( all that jasmine is) shot of jasmine with NO indolic funk. Sort of a distilled clean burning version of Alien.

I don't like it. It STRONGLY reminds me of Nuit by Cristian Lacroix! Very HARSH jasmin, not a tender one for sure. It can cause nausia to some people. It's a joyful fragrance though.

I really like this. No obvious notes stick out for me, just a pretty floral overall. For the 15 minutes it lasted on me! This could be one of my go-to frags for work, if only the staying power was better. Makes you feel pretty and classy, without bowling others over with your scent.
Edit: Today I applied my rollerball tester of Beauty to my sweater. That's the trick-18 hours have elapsed and it is going strong! I promptly purchased the edp and look forward to floating through my days in a "Beautiful" haze!

This is the first fragrance dominate in jasmine that I have liked. I think it is because it is well balanced with the cedar and musk, so it doesn't not smell sticky sweet. NIce floral, I'm going to revisit in summer.

I've had this one for awhile now and ignored it, not sure why. The bottle is gorgeous! It's eye-catching in it's own simplistic way. The scent itself is your typical white floral. Think Michael Kors and Kim Kardashian minus the rich drydown. It's probably the most similar to Kim Kardashian. Admittedly I've always held Michael Kors on a pedestal but I find that it's all-around sexier and a tad more complex... But I digress.
Beauty is just another lovely white floral, classy even. Very pleasant, decent lasting power. To be honest I'm surprised this came from Calvin Klein. I enjoy it a lot and in one day it's gotten me three compliments! Nice.

This fragrance reminds me of a crisp white shirt, bright, versatile and elegant. It is great to wear on the job and beguiling enough to wear out for a day of fun and shopping. Not much of a night time fragrance though, in my opinion. I bought a small EDP to sample the fragrance... still trying to decide if it will become a favorite.

the Bottle is divine .. one of the most pretty bottles i ever came a cross .. and iam surprised because its CK .. usually they really goes with ugly packing and bottles :)
i wasnt curious about the fragrance to be honest .. iam not a floral girl and its very (easy to expect) fragrance ..
when i tried this i just smiled, that smile like .. Ohhh yeah i know u .. nice bottle but nothing new about the fragrance .. nothing breath taking , nothing attracted me to to add it to my collection , even if i smelled it on someone i wont go and complement it .. its kind of fragrances that can be memorable by whom wear it not for the fragrance itself ...
after having Euphoria and IN2U this is ( weird ) release from CK .. there’s less fruit, and less candy, its all about floral straight up to the end .. floral floral floral ..
its nice i have to say but simply kind of fragrances i will get rid of after wearing it couple of times ...
the long lasting is fair 3 hrs on my skin.

Lovely, reminds me alot of Armani code for women. I would say if you have one of them you dont need the other. Should add I love Armani code so I love this. It is very warm and powdery, little bit spicy and sweet. A winter fragrance no doubt, might not work on warm days. It is a young fragrance but it would suit any woman really, its more a mood than a perfume. It´s cosy. In a bottle.

well,it smelled so good when I tried it in the perfumery and it lasted for about 10 days on the sleeve of my coat and every morning i put my coat on it just made my day start so pleasantly so I decided to buy it. It`s not that I`m disappointed now or anything as I admit to be a person who gets bored of any perfume no matter how much I liked it first in a month or so or less...it`s just that after i spray it on in the morning after about an hou or so i can`t smell it at all anymore...it`s all gone... Perhaps I must blame my nosew for that but it`s just too bad... Otherwise it`s very refreshing and cheerful,i would say perfect for a spring day outwards. I can mainly smell the floral beginning, much less the woody part which is also a minus as I`m in love with woody smells. Anyway,it`s ok but I don`t think I would buy it again after this bottle`s over.

This is lovely. Just a little amber, a little white florals and some warm ambrette musk (which makes it ultimately wearable). And then the dry-down is smooth and almost plasticky. There is something about it that smells like new clothes or a new coat. Oddly, that's not off-putting.

I am a huge jasmine lover and this frangrance has it all. Its creamy and sweet but not overpowering and lasts for hours on my skin. "Beauty" by Calvin Klein smells very fresh and light.
I prefer floral parfums, and that is why i like "Beauty". I can smell jasmine. It is not too sexy or seductive, so i also use it on day time in the office etc.. I lasts very long on the skin.
The bottle is very classic and kind of boring.

I had a sample of beauty kicking around my place last year, and I thought it was ok, but nothing really special. Today while I was at the mall I spritzed some on, and completely fell in love. While I find this perfume is slightly one-dimensional in that there is not a huge difference between the top notes and the dry down, I absolutely love it. To me it somehow manages to smell clean and modern, while simultaneously warm and inviting. I think this will be a good one to wear to work as well. Also, I find that this scent actually sticks around for a long time on my skin, which is great considering some of the other reviews.

I really like this! I like that it's delicate but also puts a dot there with the longevity and the cedar in the end.Perfect for work, for anytime/anywhere/anyday use! It remembers me of my moms garden because she has jasmine planted and the air it's gorgeous when it blooms...
***I don't think it's for mature women only.Come on,haven't you seen mature women who don't wear heavy scents? It's all about the taste! My mom's in her 50's and she wears only light flowery scents!***
P.S. I honestly think that if you like a perfume you should wear it!!! Mature/girly/heavy/light on each person smells different! My dad likes Eden-Cacharel and he wears it! And my mother can't wear it because she thinks it's too strong for her! But on my dad smells completely different!!!

I'm disappointed. I waited for the premiere of this perfume.. I'm big fan of CK Truth.. I wished to find something new, modern.. and feel again same excitation when I found Truth.. and in vain.. Beauty reveals trend of old flowers with pinch of bitter male scent.. I didn't find any beauty in Beauty. Also my boyfriend's nose said similar with my opinion about this fragrance. Not attractive for girls/women and extremaly not attractive for their boys/men :-(

Calvin Klein has singled out a mega-hit fragrance of the past for homage treatment in its still-new feminine scent Beauty. To my nose, the scent is Tommy Girl by Hilfiger. They're so close that I'm unnerved, although I recognize the jasmine and cedar standing in for the green tea of the older perfume. Both fragrances also exhibit charming black currant notes. Beauty is certainly woodier and a more "solid" scent profile, but opens with the same airy sweetness, with just enough balance between the subversive woodsy notes and the fruit. Between the two I prefer Tommy Girl, if only because it's greener-smelling. But Beauty is a worthy tribute and well crafted. What it lacks in originality, it makes up for in enthusiasm. If you must wear a CK scent, make it this one. Like Tommy Girl, it is entirely unisex, and quite nice all year round.

I tried this, thought it was a bit "meh", and then felt a bit bad for it so I ordered 5ml to get a better test, to wear for a couple of days and nights.
I still maintain that its linear, after several hours it doesn't seem to have developed at all. But that's actually OK cos I'm really starting to like it a lot! Its white all the way, jasmine and lily, a little bit soapy, very clean smelling. I think the ad is perfect, beautiful Diane Kruger in understated make up and simple but stunning white dresses. Its a very womanly fragrance, I can't imagine too many teens appreciating this one. But I do.
I can imagine brides choosing this for their big day, when you certainly don't want your dress to be out shone by your perfume choice.
Lovely. Sorry I doubted you Beauty.

I really used to like this but now it's all rancid, sour and not to say disgusting like shampoo on my skin. I like the smell of shampoo, but on my hair, and not on my skin. I thought, while lolling around the perfume section in Shopper's Stop when I tried this, "Is this just... plain old shampoo mixed with disgusting cedar?" I thought that. But then I tried it on paper it was different. It blended together nicely. But on the skin first thing I notice is pure hate at sight...
It was really nice on the paper, but on skin it smelled rancid, cheap and like sour flowers. I'll pass.

Hi.
BEAUTY is a white floral blend that interprets a soft bouquet of Jasmine.A delightfully elegant and pleasant scent. It reminds me of an early spring morning or a cool summer evening when you get that hint of lily or jasmine floating in the breeze.Floral, Soft,Clean,Feminine,Delicate,Cute,Discreet and Romantic.
This feminine scent possesses a blend of a soft and delicate floral as it has a feminine opening of ambrette, followed by a jasmine heart, which is softened with lily.opulent cedar in the base, providing an elegant touch to this romantic perfume. however it is not very original but what is important is that it is not one of those cloying, strong fragrance that make an elevator ride painful.
BEAUTY is perfect for Spring and Summer Daytime wearing and also suitable for a wedding.it is like the first flowers of Spring and if you close your eyes, you'd think you were walking through a garden early in the morning. It is not overwhelming and makes you confident of your femininity.Really nice but nothing special.
Sillage?Pleasant.
Longevity? The best part of this EDP for me as the longevity is very good on my skin.

It is a little disappointing, as it smells a little like a cheap perfume, not a Calvin Klein classic!
It smells okay after an hour or so, but nothing special for me..
I love the smell of Jasmin but this is like a Jasmin bomb, way too much Jasmin in it, it bores me after a while of wearing it. I bought a bottle a year ago and 3/4 of it is unused, I don't enjoy wearing this one.
It's too soapy & suffocating after a while....

I must have a weird nose because this smells like a more serious version of Britney Spears Curious which I like. I know curious is much sweeter when first sprayed but when it dries it reminds me of this one and Ralph Lauren in the blue bottle with the silver lid. They seem to have the same Lilly, musky jasmine smell. If you like Pure Poison or Jennifer Anistons Lolavie this one is a smoother more sophisticated white floral. I like it but it is always so super expensive when I see it. My husband just got me Coco Chanel and spent an absolute fortune on it which I love so I won't be able to get this one at the moment. This one would bore some people especially if you don't like smooth white florals or find them too old fashioned. If you like Amarige by Givenchy but find it doesn't last or is a bit dated then try this.

When I first tested this fragrance, I felt almost sure it would be part of my collection.
It is a beautiful floral with a slightly fruity and toffee-like opening.
On the contrary to many reviewers I find this scent rather deep (or maybe saturated and rich are the right words). It has a heart of creamy white flowers. I find it hard to believe that lily is the only white flower here, to my nose there definitely is hyacinth and maybe gardenia too. I find it both creamy and green and it has strong similarities to Anaïs Anaïs and Marc Jacobs for women.
There cedar note is noticeable but very subtle and not the least sharp.
Why haven't I added this lovely, deep floral to my collection? I think the answer is that it is almost too safe. It's a quite generic and linear scent with no surprises at all - neither bad nor good. It is just pleasant and beautiful. This kind of scent would suit any age and be appropriate for any occasion and any season.
In 3 words: DEEP - SAFE - CREAMY

Beauty seems to be a very traditional scent. This is what I thought all perfumes smelled like as a child.
Mature, soapy, dusty, floral, not very sweet, not too strong. Not very pleasant, but not too offensive. Just says, "I'm wearing perfume." This perfume smells too much like perfume.

To Calvin Klein and Nose Sophie Labbe: you've done a really good job with this release!
Beauty is a distinctly feminine creation which sweet-floral lovers could hardly dislike: it features just three simple notes (like many other interesting fragrances I know) but they somehow enhance together to make a luxurious and most refined blend.
Although I'm pretty sure I happened to smell something really similar to Beauty in early 90's, this scent owns the perfect balance between popular and sophisticated, between easy-to-wear and classy: I really appreciate what they've done with this fragrance, and I'm usually not a lover of CK creations...
The beginning is sparkling, clean, lovely.. angelic, almost: jasmine and ambrette seeds make an unbelievable duet here, creating a soapy and ethereal aura around the wearer. In the heart of the composition, when the scent gets a bit more close to the skin, the ambrette shows its depth together with a slight musky shade. Drydown is soft and refined, silky and crystalline thanks to cedarwood.
Simplicity and sobriety are the key words to approach this scent, so all those who expect something bold, utterly sexy and unique from it will probably get disappointed.. my honest opinion, of course :)
About myself, I only have to complain a bit about the lightness of this fragrance: I guess one should apply a large amount of this EDP to get a decent sillage... or, at least, on my skin it tends to get a bit too delicate after few minutes and almost undistinguishable from my own smell.
A part from that, Beauty is a most pleasant discovery from a House I use to overlook, and I would surely wear this EDP in some formal occasions.. it is a bit ordinary maybe, but it deserves all my appreciation as an "adult" and a bit serious scent, which doesn't necessarily mean boring and old-smelling!
The bottle absolutely goes along with the fragrance thanks to its roundness and simplicity.

This is rather sophisticated, but boring white-floral. It's not bad, but too rectilinear. The dominant flower here is lily. The scent reminds of some Avon fragrances and especially Donna Karan Gold that is done in the same direction.

Jasmine, jasmine and more jasmine! In my country we do have lots of jasmine in our gardens and quality essential oils are aplenty, Beauty is a well rounded realistic jasmine bush blooming at dawn.
It's fresh, feminine and very comforting. I always believe some perfumes wear you and some perfumes you wear them, this is for sure the kind you wear perfume.
It doesn't intrude or annoy or in your face. It's a simple background to let your femininity shine through.
I'm sick seriously of stupid marketing campaigns like this one marketing it for over 40 years old, I'm 25 and I love it. It's refreshing and perfect for summer, especially the kind of weather I have here most of the summer doesn't allow anything heavy.
This perfume is an absolute MUST for any jasmine lover!

This to me smells like soft jasmine essential oil and not a lot else. Clean jasmine and not very exciting. Boring clean floral. Not like liking it's raison d'etre either, which is apparently specifically to NOT be sexy at all, and is aimed at the over forties! Okay. So, a product that is actually a veiled insult >:( Don't try too hard love, you're getting on a bit and it's frankly embarrassing..
Buy some jasmine essential oil instead!!! Not this neutered excuse of a perfume!! >:(!!

I love the adv campaign with Diane Kruger and IMO it really goes well with the perfume. It's soft, delicate, serene and peaceful yet a little synthetic. A beautiful go-to scent that works with everything you wear and do on condition you like jasmine.

Now Beauty really deserves its name. It's an elegant, nice floral. Smells like a big bouquet of flowers, with a hint of sweetness, which is getting very pleasant after few hours. I'm not much into florals, so i'll pass it, i miss the kick in it, but it's suitable for ladies, who want something, soft, feminine and inoffensive. Good smelling perfume!

I bought a bottle of CK Beauty because I was in love with the bottle and I found it at TJX on sale. I'd previously tested the fragrance (but didn't apply to my skin) and wasn't all that excited about it, but figured it would be a good inoffensive fragrance for the office.
OMG, I bought it then I wore it. It becomes an unbelievably sultry and aromatic fragrance on me. I have received numerous compliments for the past two days. Maybe it's my chemistry, but what smelled BLAH and linear in the store and on the tester strip turns spicy, warm, floral, and sweet on my skin.

It's a strongly feminine fragrance. It's elegant and modern and jasmine makes it more charming to my nose. Although I like the fragrance it is not suitable for everyday use I guess. It is a nice choice for meetings or special occasions. People around you would look at you twice because of the awesome smell.

a bit vintage
There are just a select few fragrances that I love and enjoy wearing on those middle of the week at work days, or days when I'm caring for young children. So many mainstream "pretty" perfumes are either so heavy on the flowers that I've acquired a headache upon first spritz, or they are so ho-hum that it's not even worth taking the time to apply. But, when I first sampled Beauty (thank you Gypsy parfumista!) I immediately was drawn in by it's well rounded, voluptuous and softly sweet scent. I especially like the floral heart most of all. CK Beauty is not over the top as far as the floral aspect or the sweetness. It in fact becomes somewhat of a skin scent on me, so instead of feeling as though I'm wearing a fragrance, it has melded nicely with my own skin. I am also really drawn to this bottle, very nice. Thumbs up!!

I know many reviewers have called this fragrance boring and uninspiring. But i love its simplicity and its attempt to be nothing but a simple, clean and in-offensive fragrance and like all CK scents, its not complicated, its a very straight forward marriage of ingredients which i think is definetly worthy of appreciation. The Jasmine and Cedar work perfectly together and the drydown is very creamy and kinda soapy, its very light as well so i can imagine this being perfect for day-time. For me the staying power is excellent, this scent is definetly worth seeking out, especially if you want a fragrance that is simple and clean and isn't fighting for attention it just sits beautifully on your skin and gives you a sense of warm weather and running through fields of white flowers.

Boring...it's inoffensive and not "bad" smelling by any means, but has a very generic smell that I couldn't pick out of a lineup of many other similar perfumes.
I get that some people feel this perfume has merit for what it is trying to be...a simple, inoffensive fragrance. I completely agree that a perfume can be simple and still be beautiful and interesting. Unfortunately this isn't one of those perfumes that does simple well, at least not for me.

This is a simple, light, clean, very pretty scent, perfect for daytime and very non-offensive. I don't understand the bad reviews. The scent doesn't change much during wear. It's very light and floral. I can't say anything negative about it. It's really very pretty.

Ok, I am not going to say that I am in love with one...but it is perfect for daytime, work or play. It lasts, a quick spritz over the body rather than full on the neck area. Come close and you just get a a nice fresh smell perfect for bright spring or summer days.
It is quite different from what I would normally wear, but that is good...I do not always want to smell 'boringly samey' all of the time.
One thing I have learnt over the many years I have been a perfume addict is, that change is important so that when you do wear your 'in love with one' perfumes you can smell it on yourself with refreshed senses which will make you feel happier.

I'm not really a fan of CK's fragrances. Just dunno, not my style. I had seen lots of ads of Beauty, but didn't have any intentions of giving it a go. Well, then in one of my magazines there was a test strip of it thus I smelled it. And liked it. It was nothing unique or unusual except it wasn't your typical CK scent. Maybe that's why I liked it and went to try it at the perfumery. There's something about this fragrance which smells really familiar to me, tho I cannot get a picture in my head why that is so. :D The scent is rather simple and comforting. The bottle is also rather pretty. I will definitely consider buying it.

Far too much criticism...this perfume does exactly what it sets out to do. The "beauty" of it comes from its simplicity - you are going to wear this fragrance for you, and only you, and not to impress anyone. Nothing extreme, but a long lasting floral you can enjoy throughout the day.

I don't know why this reminds me so much of Viva La Juicy. This one is less fruity and more floral but to my nose the resemblance it there. Beauty opens up clean, sweet, elegant and feminine. But it is rather boring, there is nothing distinctive about it.

I usually like linear scents, not this time.
Sharp strange notes, not natural at all.
When notes are less in a perfume they have to blend
with your body- this dont.
To bad the bottle is pretty.

It´s just not worth the money. It´s like a castrated white flower scent you can take to the office or to be worn by a thirteen year old. If you are wearing white flowers you should let it bloom.
Also, since this scent is so linear I will stick with Yria from Yves Rocher wich seems to have the same base but at a fair price (and better staying power...)

This is a nice perfume , but it is quite plain and it lacks personality . It starts with a fine gardenia burst which , unfortunatelly , fades away after an hour and develops some ordinary sweet notes .It would have appealed more to me if the exotic characteristic in it lasted longer . Staying power is short on me . Too bad , because i really wanted a white floral fragrance for me this spring !

Not bad but not terribly special on me either, just a floral, a rather blah one at that, it's not a deep perfume on me just a shallow floral. I expected more of CK. Obsession is one of the more complex perfumes out there IMO, but Beauty is strictly one note...on me. I'll not be investing in this one.....I do consider perfumes an investment. :0)

Long gone are the days of the Calvin Klein tatoo frag launch (sniff OBSESSION, ETERNITY, ESCAPE, et al.), and some would say for the good of people and the EPA alike. Now that Coty Prestige has taken over the helm of the house of Calvin Klein, the aesthetic has changed as well.
CK BEAUTY is the third fragrance with the word 'beauty' or one of its cognates in its name that I've tested, and, now three for three, I'm struggling to find BEAUTY in this one as well. There's nothing here to transfix the wearer: no complexity, no depth, and no development. In some ways, calling such a fragrance BEAUTY is similar to the rampant use of the word 'brilliant' to describe all that with which one agrees.
Not that it's ugly--not at all, in fact. But CK BEAUTY strikes me as a kind of plain-Jane jasmine frag, something that would fit in well with Banana Republic's overall streamlined aesthetic (which by the way, I happen to like). It definitely smells nice and inoffensive--provided that you do not overapply, as it expands quite a lot and really thickens if reapplied. I like the resinous quality and might even wear this brave new big white floral, if I had a bottle. But a better name, it seems to me, would have been: CLARITY.

why all the bad critics? This perfume is gentle,non-offending,soft and feminine perfect for spring.it's not mind blowing but why should it be? I don't want always to smell like a drama queen and suffocate people around me.This perfume it's the opposite of that. It's light and alluring.

So indeed it is what it was marketed to be feminine, luminous and floral.
So everybody expected something mind blowing but have you paid attention to the adds?
It was meant to be exactly what it is light, feminine pure, and something beautiful in a non aggressive way.
It's the white, pure and feminine cliche.
But I think that it is a good perfume without being revolutionary. It is a calm, delicate and discrete kind of fragrance.
It is only a matter of perception. We all perceive beauty different.
And we perceive each fragrance different.
Trying this on my skin created me a deja vu and I know it's not really original but it has it own charm.
The fragrance and the bottle are both really elegant.
Maybe it is not one of the most original fragrance out there, but indeed a fragrance that has the touch of Beauty!

It's very weird. I tried to search for the notes in CK's original website and this perfume is not listed! Do they regret it or what :)
How can I say `no` to my dear CK?
Its a little bit of floral
and little bit of fruity
little bit of spicy and a little bit of woody
don't get me wrong its not a bad perfume. I kind of like it but a little bit of everything makes it mediocre.. ok lets call it humble for CK's sake

Soft, floral with a delicate and sweet vanilla note:)

Timeless ELEGANCE
For some reason I feel quite saddened by the many negative reviews of this perfume. Perhaps because I find this scent both cheerful & comforting.
As I deeply inhale the freshly sprayed perfume, my initial thoughts are of newly washed white towels and linen. It refreshes my senses with its crisp clean smell. It is possibly the vague amber or musk that accompanies the fresh scents that warmly lingers making it less cold and more alluring.
The following floral scent that breaks through is a beautiful gentle jasmine (a less extreme jasmine than Eternity moment). I found my nose drawn to my wrist again and again as it's beautiful delicate scent danced with my pulse.
Finally the woody backnotes appeared. The chart above describes it as cedarwood. I have no idea what cedarwood smells like, but this was not too dissimilar to sandalwood... again a comforting scent that warms the white and green notes like the spring sun coming out to warm the meadow blossom.
So contrary to many, I LOVE this scent. It is beautiful. It is fresh yet alluring. It is as elegant & timeless as egyptian white cotton yet pretty as a meadow flower. I would recommend this as a fragrance to wear during the spring months. Not worn as a special evening smell but as a daily daytime luxury :)

I sampled this because I love florals.
A tuberose/woody jasmine top, with a unidentifiable white floral heart, which fades away into nothing, as I don't detect a drydown. The whole thing is done in about 4 hours.
In a word--BORING! Maybe if you have never smelled perfume before, and you don't have any bottles at home, you may like this. This is not a bad scent but it is just so blah. The bottle is way more interesting than the actual juice.
The advertising campaign depresses me. This is for the 'mature' audience? So that's what we get? Mature=BORING? I'd rather risk smelling like the 'old lady' that most have so much derision for than this. My bar of Dove soap smells more interesting than Beauty does.

I love the headier perfumes but this one is a bit much with the sillage..felt like it was stalking me after i sprayed it on! Whatever chemical or fixative it is that gives eternity its strength is present here, though the top is mostly clean tuberose with a pinch of jasmine. Strangely enough it dries down soft and is barely noticeable now ( 4 hrs later ). It is more of a straightforward floral than CKs usual creations; don't think i'd bother with a full bottle.

I am disappointed by this perfume. I expected something more sophisticated and mature. Unfortunately Beauty appeared as a strange scent that strongly reminds me about another by CK - Truth. They have the same plastic note in the middle which is very bad. I also recognize there grass note which is fresh and powdery at the same time. The only positive thing about this fragrance is tuberose which is quite pleasant but the rest is annoying and I can't fall in love with Beauty.

For older women, don't wear this. Shame on you. The perfume, I believe is more complex than what being described here. Yes, I can detect the pepper and jasmine, but they both not attractive enough for me. The perfume start with flat notes of floral and spice, nothing special. Not suit my age, I plan to give it to my mom. A simple perfume, comfort and kinda common scent, nothing special and classy. I don't remember the smell after few minutes and I have to sniff it back on paper strip. The bottle remind me of Idole by Armani. After few hour, the perfume turn to soapy kinda smell, so a big no-no to this perfume.

To me this is a warm floral.
I'm picking up some gardenia and lilac in the top-notes. It's a little powdery, but not overtly so. The jasmine comes in at the heart of this fragrance and usurps all the other flowers I could initially smell, I think this must be what's leading so many people to describe it as soapy. I don't feel the cedar, I only wish I could, as this badly needs more depth.
Innofensive, probably good for the office but that's hardly a glowing recommendation. I like my white florals to 'sing' a little and this one has had it's vocal chords cut. Calvin Klein Beauty is a perfectly OK fragrance, buy it for me and I will probably wear it on the odd occaision but I won't be putting it on my Christmas-list and I sure won't be spending any of my hard-earned cash on it. The dry down really just smells generic, I wonder if this is what my boyfriend experiences when I ask him what he thinks of any given fragrance and he replies 'It's alright, it just smells like perfume'. I always rolled my eyes at his uneducated nose but in the case of Calvin Klein Beauty I would have to say that his stock reply is absolutely bang on.
In conclusion, I find it rather bland and boring. I see this being worn by a glossy groomed blonde in a crisp white shirt and camel coat, the kind of woman who dresses this way because she's been told that it's timelessly elegant and tasteful, rather than out of some innate sense of personal style.

Bitter, dry, Action has put it in the right words - suffocating, I think that is the best description.
I tried it few times but it makes me feel highly uncomfortable. There is nothing beautiful about it. Neither unusual or classy.

Of course any specific perfume smell changes with your personal chemistry if you spray it on your skin...so spritz perfume on your clothing and/or hair, the smell lasts longer.

It's not like this scent hasn't been done before, but admist the fruity floral releases over this past year, Calvin Klein's new floral scent is rather refreshing to say the least.
Beauty is a cross between my very favourite Burberry Weekend and Michael Kors EDP. It's a rather bold, sparkling and Summery interpretation of a white floral scent, being mostly jasmine, lily and tuberose with a rich cedary base.
The floral blend, although very clean smelling, is quite heavenly. It's somewhat elegant and innocent like the advertising suggests, however for some it is far too distant from those heavier scents like Euphoria and Secret Obsession which have been big sellers in the past.
Beauty is a pretty scent, however unfortunately lacking in depth and distinction. I do like this fragrance, but I did hope for more. I quite like its floral freshness, yet every now and then I sense something that smells like a floral-scented bathroom diffuser.
The longevity of Beauty is great, well worth the big bucks, however the sillage can in some ways be too strong. Seeming that I'd prefer this kind of scent in the Summer, its heaviness would probably make me ill under such hot conditions.

I (as many of you already know) LOVE Calvin Klein anything, and was very excited to try this! When my best SA girl handed me the test strip I inhaled deeply...and thought she had grabbed the wrong bottle. This is like a vintage release from one of the major European houses to me...
Of all CK scents for women, (with the possible exception of Eternity and Obsession)this is the thickest, most wonderful perfume he has EVER made. But where Eternity and Obsession are complex and layered; this is simple but dramatically elegant and yes, BEAUTIFUL!
The notes say it is built around a calla lily; with ambrette seeds, jasmine and cedar...but there in those simple notes lies a magnificent enchantress. This begins with the woody musky scent of ambrette seeds (hibiscus flower seeds AKA musk mallow) and hundreds of jasmine blossoms raining down on you. Though the sheer amount of jasmine is large, the overall effect is stunning and not too much at all. This perfume lasts forever. I sprayed a sample strip for Mother, when I ran in to pay her credit card bill one day...and it was still detectable over a week later in the car, not just on the paper! This is similar to something that Aphrodite, the goddess of love, might wear...or at least how I os-magine she would smell. The eventual drydown of very expensive smelling cedar brings the heavenly floral scent back to the woodiness that started it all, only deeper and more resonant. And through it all the sheer milky lily stands triumphant, refined and grand.
Sillage: very good
Longevity: superb
Overall: 4.75/5
This is somewhat feminine, and was meant to bring out a woman's natural beauty, so I don't think it's necessarily something I would wear myself, but I adore the aroma (from start to finish) and would follow a woman who smelled like this to the ends of the earth...and beyond!

Ouch!
This isn't your usual Calvin Klein fragrance.
Where his fragrances are relatively safe...not really masterpeices (in my opinion) but pleasant nonetheless... this one feels like he's gone back to the old school. The way perfumes were made in the 80's. It's like a Boquet.
This is a somewhat heady floral perfume, jasmine lots...can definately smell tuberose in here, it's kind of like a modern classic waiting to happen. I mean it's not an overwhelming beauty but it's different than what I had expected.
There's an element of spice to it, an element of elegance, it's not youthful or fresh, it's quite thick and full of flowers.
The bottle is awesome, I love the simplicity of CK's bottles, and this is probably the nicest one so far. I have the 50ml and it's dinky and cute.
This won't be to everyone's taste but at least it's something different from what he ususally does.
Overall I'd describe it as a verging on heady, slightly spicy jasmine blend, something to wear when you dress up a little bit.

This seems quite compatible with the post-2000 stable of Calvin Klein fragrances. It is girly, floral and seems almost watered down (diet jasmine). Speaking of diets, it kind of reminds me a cucumber sandwich - refreshing, a little vegetal and above all, cooling & tasty.
True, it doesn't break new ground but it does demonstrate just the right intensity for summertime. You will smell fresh, pretty and inoffensive all season.

It is light, but at the same time intense scent. It is clear, elegant, suitable for all seasons. I try BEAUTY after reading a lot of negative comments and I was surprised. I can find white flowers, may be jasmine - it is not very clear there. I found ambrette and softly - cedar.
Staying power good - I can feel it after four hours. So, I place BEAUTY in my waiting list. It is so clean and strong at the same time.

The 1st time I tried this scent i was really unimpressed with it. It was bland and not long lasting. Weirdly, when I tested this again today, it smelled gorgeous! The ambrette seeds really popped and so did the jasmine. My only complaint now is that the musk is too dull but you can't win them all.

I can't distinguish jasmine in the pyramide also. The scent has no growth and no depth. It doesn't frustrate me,but I can't enjoy it either.Actually Beauty in contrast of its name, evokes in me absolutely colourless feelings and emotions, very close to apathy.

She's the one
It is all about a soapy scent for me.A flat, simple soap without any "intrigue" in it.Nothing fascinating or at least a hint of Wow effect. If you want to smell like you have just take a shower, you will probably like it.Fresh, clean, but sophisticated and mature...NO.

I smelled it a few days ago on my magazine. It was way quite strong, too strong for me. And somehow it reminds me of Chanel No. 5, the strongest fragrance I've ever smelled.
I don't know if I'm not mature enough to appreciate women's fragrance, but it just makes me feel dizzy.

I like this one quite a bit , not too light . Not too heavy but lasts a long time . I usually don't care for Calvin Klein scents ever since CK one and Obsession (which I like a great deal) I had a hard time finding newer ones I liked . When I came across this I was pleasantly surprised :)

Lacks character, I wouldn't invest in a perfume that smells like soap and plain florals... I don't know what CK was aiming at.

Beaty is a very plain scent.when it settles on the skin i perceive gardenia and peony mixed together also if these notes aren't listed, my nose recognizes them in the center of the composition. there isn't a cicle process in the griwing of the notes, it is a fragrance very ordinery with no heart, for this reason i consider it cheap and common.

It must be due to my chemistry that this became a sticky, tropical floral on my skin. It was a little overwhelming, so I asked a colleague to test it, and on her it was a fresh, feminine, jasmine scent.
I think the bottle matches the scent perfectly.

This is really flat and uninspired.
Maybe the ambrette thing ensures the synthetic feel of "nice and preppy", but unfortunately this seems a scent with no soul. I can hardly feel any notes. It's kinda like scented writing paper...
I must say I didn't like euphoria nor secret obsession. So although Calvin Klein's house expressed the 90's uniquely, maybe they are just unable for the moment to catch the wave of the new era.
Strangely enough, even Truth by CKlein and the old Obsession, seem much more 2010 to me than Beauty.

The younger sister of Estee Lauder's Beautiful. And that's not a bad thing!
I'm 21 and I love white florals (as well as many other scent families), so sue me! :D
I feel elegant and refined. This is a breath of fresh air from the young, fruity/floral oriental scents I have.

I love it. Very elegant and long lasting. Floral without the high notes.

@secretcrush,
I smelled the strip for this in my magazine the other day. I agree with you about the tuberose, maybe jasmine more than gardenia I think. If they had toned down some of those flowers maybe I would have liked it a little more.

Just got the sample of Beauty and I love it. Very pleasant floral scent, perfect for everyday wear. Not as daring as Eternity and yes, a bit soapy but very nice. A happy floral to suit any mood.

If you wear Donna Karan's Gold at night, this could be your daytime fragrance. Lily, lily lily. Very soft, feminine, and pretty. Very well done, I think. Casual daytime weekend scent.OK for daytime dates, too. I LOVE lilies. And I'd wear it. LOVE the bottle, too!

White florals have always caused me trouble...
Beauty is not the usual white floral-bully I fear...she is softer, more serene, voluble yet well-blended & creamy. She is more natural, toned down & polite than the majority of her sisters & I can see her being popular with the silky, flaxen-maned blonde who has it all: good job, nice house, happy family....the kind of relaxed, cool gal for whom the sun will always shine. Yummy mummies & young ladies who lunch.
In testing, Beauty & I tolerated each other & at certain points I even enjoyed her company...but after a while she started to grate & cause me a slight perfume-headache. I could have sworn I inhaled the slightly super-sonic hit of tuberose, but none is listed, how strange. Those notes look so foreign, bearing no relation to the way this scent appeared to me!
So Beauty is not for me, but we never really were going to be dog-walking buddies (she would have ruined her cashmere camel coat & her hair would have been blown out of place). BUT, if you adore the likes of Michael Kors Michael (sooo similar) & the start of Amarige but prefer the CK concept of pared down, creamy & cool then this will delight you.

I'm sorry but I'm not enthousiastic about this at all... Some strange way to combine clean and spicy. Ends up like this feminine soapy fragrance which gives me a headache. At some point I of course could see some beauty in it, like every perfume has in a way, but this just does not impress me at all. It is kind of feminine though, in a way of 35/40 year olds.

I'm positive that I smell tuberose/gardenia in this one although not listed... Another white-floral nightmare here??? I think not!!! This one was very well executed w/ its soft, feminine and clean minimal scent. Sure to be a classic...

Said to be for women in their 40s, I however am 25 and love this perfume. I generally do not care for floral, I like woodsy and musky fragracances but this is so sensul and sticks around all day long!
I'm sold.

This is a beautiful scent for women who are past letting everyone within 20 feet know what they are wearing. It is soft, lovely, and to be remembered in a nice way. Not in the way that gives people headaches, makes them sick to their stomachs and dread seeing you coming through the door. If that means being old

I smelled this at Macy's the other day. I do smell a bit of tuberose/gardenia here. I dont find this to be a very strong scent. Beauty is delicate and feminine. I dont sense any cedar here. I would say that this is beautiful, but nothing new. The bottle is gorgeoud though and i love the color of the fluid. Beauty would make a good everyday scent.

Smelled this on paper and I like it. It is what is says it is a simple, modern, sophisticated floral. I think this perfume is well balanced, well blended, not sharp or overly sweet. For a woman that is career oriented, stable, confident and knows what she wants in her life. Someone who thinks things through and is less likely to take risks. This is for the 30 and up group IMO.

This fragrance has no personality and fits with all other Calvin Kleins as a strictly 'jeans wearing teen fragrance'. There are ordinary body sprays which smell better and more remarkable than this 'floral water' stuff.

Just sampled today on paper:
I keep getting a mix of powdery, slightly sweet, white floral. Definitely feminine.
Will try again on my skin and update!

I tried this today. I really like it, it starts very floral and something in the notes remind me of Michael Kors......................ahhhh yes Tuberose, although I don't think this is in the notes????!
It dries down to a very creamy subtle elegant mix of sophistication and panache.
It has something quite hollywood about it, which I like.
A must for my collection.

So this is for mature women - Ha! This smells like beige - not Chanel Beige just 'beige'. It seems that the sophisticate mature woman is supposed to smell bland and boring. I can't pick out any notes - even though it apparently has so few and the general impression is of a good quality soap maybe with a hint of almond. As an older, possibly mature woman I personally would prefer to smell of something with a bit more to say - a bit more character. Habanita fits the bill, at least it suggests you have lived a real life and enojoyed it. Maybe I am not mature enough to appreciate Calvins idea of a grown up fragrance - and I hope I never am!
