CK One was launched 1994. and it was one of the first shared (unisex) fragrances both for men and women in the modern perfumery. Calvin Klein was inspired by his daughter and her friends. This fresh perfume was targeted forward young consumers, 18-25 years old, and became very-very popular in the 1990-ties, especially in the US.

It opens with fresh notes og bergamot, lemon, mandarin cardamom, pineapple, papaya and green notes. The heart includs floral notes with a tint of spices: jasmine, lily of the valley, rose, violet, nutmeg and the iris root. The base blends with cedar, sandalwood, oakmoss, musk and amber.
Sparkling, light, fresh and provocative, with a sexy green tea notes (became so popular later) and a slightly metall nuance.
CK One was created by Alberto Morillas i Harry Fremont. CK One was launched in 1994.

I agree it's a fresh and clean scent, but it isn't airy. It's nice and subtle, however it manages to be noticeable at the same time. The only problem is it opens up with an awful, very strange note that I think might be the papaya or some green notes. Thankfully, that nasty note goes away in seconds. I received this in a swap, and I'm trying to figure out if I like it. I don't know if I will wear it often.
