CK One collection of the house of Calvin Klein receives another fragrant duo in autumn 2012! Name of the duo is CK One Shock Street Edition adding up to last year's editions CK One Shock for Her and CK One Shock for Him. The new fragrances have modern compositions and provide a fine dose of gourmand flavor.
Fragrance for men CK One Shock Street Edition for Him arrives in black 100ml EDT bottle adorned with graffiti illustrations. Top notes incorporate refreshing mojito notes combined with sparkling citruses. The heart accentuates delicate spices and geranium sweetened and made more gourmand with held of cocoa accords in the base of the composition. The fragrance is announced as limited edition. This is a fruity version of the original Shock.
I prefer the original, even though I'm not a big fan of sweet/heavy scents, the original Shock have personality, the tobacco note is exquisite and is unlike any other CK fragrance.
Shock Street Edition is good, but not impressive. Something in the composition makes it smell like plastic or something synthetic and then it turns into a soapy/flowery scent, at least on my skin. What I like the most is the opening, a cool/warm mix of citrus, mojito and cacao that sadly fades away quite quickly.
While with CK One Shock I was impressed, with Shock Street Edition I was disappointed.
I love the original shock, but this left me cold. I didn't smelled any cacao wich is weird, but I definetly smelled the mojito, some spices and citruses and a herb, bitter note (gardenia).
For me it's a very sharp but fresh scent that tries to be sexy and mature, but for me it's just juvenile.
Not bad but not great either.I smell mostly cacao and something like melon but it isnt listed in the notes...Longetivity is 4 hours and projection is bad on my skin...
Overall its an ok scent but too "clildish".Its for 25 year old kids and down.I wouldnt wear it though...
Score:6/10
This isn't bad at all. Longevity is on the longer lived of moderate. Acceptable.
Sillage is appropriate. I.E. you can smell it when you're nearby but it won't gas the house out.
Smells very similar to Encounter but with a cocoa note. I wouldn't be a bit surprised that they share a common base and one is actually a flanker of the other but not sharing the heritage openly. If you like either, try the other as well. Encounter is a bit more incense like in nature sans cocoa note. Both are sweet as many mainstream fragrances are and I doubt most anyone would find either offensive or challenged by them. For the average guy wanting to smell good, either of these would make a fine choice for cooler weather.
Thumbs up. Not bad at all. Somewhat deep, dark and chocolatey.
just bought 100ml of ck shock street edtn. its definitely not like the original ck shock .....its better. i cant get the initial blast of chocolate like some of the reviewers are suggesting but the mojito beginning is very prominent with a blend of fresh spices , but not like the chilli cinnamon spice , more like a warm basil mint spice.lime, a hint of cucumber and watermelon are also there in the top notes.this gives the scent a clean summery feel.
the dry down is when the mix of cocoa and peppermint come into action and man they have got this blended perfectly.....cause you cant really decide whether to grade it as a cocoa smell or a minty smell or a fruity smell.......to top it all somehow using these light airy ingredients they have managed to maintain the masculine touch of the scent....kudos for that.
you cant categorize it as a daytime or nighttime scent ,works well at any hour .....ppl who have used it will agree when i say this can be worn to work too and can be worn for a casual evening stroll too .....but in my
opinion it cant be worn to a club or a bar ..main reason is that although the scent is clean and sharp it lacks massive projection , so if worn to a club its gonna lose out to the theiry mugliers and john varvatos and paco one million .
thats the only negative point i can see otherwise although im not a big ck scents fan i love this unique joy of ck shock street edition.

if u like the review gimme a thumbs up .....or a thumb down if u hate it ...just lemme know ....cheers . tc.
The opening smells exactly like dark chocolate. After about 5 minutes, the citrus-spice blend comes through, with the chocolate staying as a background note. The dry down is excellent. Very underrated.
If I could rebrand this, I'd call it "L'Eau de Kokorico" - the cacao note in this reminds me of a brighter and cleaner version of the cacao in Kokorico (a very deep and "oily" cacao) and the sweet & fruity notes add a very spring/summer vibe reminiscent of all those summer or aquatic flankers we've been seeing as of late. Like others have said, this does not bear any semblance with CK One Shock at all - a sweet oriental. Street Edition is much more like a fruity gourmand.
So far I like the scent but I'm waiting for warmer weather before I can fully assess this. I anticipate it will perform really well in the spring (projection and longevity are already solid) but will be too heavy for my tastes in the middle of summer.
Check it out!
This smells just like mojitos and chocolate... reminds me of those chocolate limes!
This flanker of a flanker is nothing like the original (CK one) but a fine scent for the spring and really looking forward to seeing how the notes develop in a warmer climate!
So far sillage and staying power ok, and its freezing!
My spring 'goto'!
smells a lot like lynx dark temptation very chocolatey
Although they don't share notes, "CK One Shock Street Version" is quite similar to "CK One Summer 2009 Edition". It opens bright with lots of citrus notes with the mojito vibe.
It actually stays on this citrus stage for quite a long time, but you can really feel the spices coming along during the development of the fragrance. It seems to me that there's no trace of cacao or any other gourmand notes.
As previous reviewers mentioned, there's absolutely no connection to the original "CK One Shock". This is more summery and, as I said, really close to other "CK One Summer" editions out there.
Tried Street Edition today. It has absolutely nothing with sweet oriental regular Shock. It is fruity, not in juicy but in mature way. Similar effect as with mango in Polo Black (the fragrances are quite similar). Cacao is not really prominent here. Good longevity.
I received it today, and what a pleasure!
Totally different from everything else.
Its really fresh, you actually can smell the fresh mojito.... Yummy...
Then it calms down into something very woody, fresh, sensual and very masculine.
I got a lot of compliments wearing this fragrance!!
And the magic happens...
Just bought this perfume, which was not in my plans. Actually, I like perfume intended for young people, but I love the perfumes "dedicated" to older age groups.
I confess that after I have some very strong perfume, I felt like need changing a little my style, and this is where the magic comes with this new ck one shock street edition. It is surprising that this ck can be strong and extremely enjoyable at the same time.
The olfactory notes of this perfume are spectacular, and in fact the notes of cacao and mojito note quite well and with distinction, which in itself is excellent.
It is clearly a perfume young, dedicated especially to all those who like to go out at night to drink some mojitos... maybe... lol...
Longevity and projection are excellent, and this is one of the things that surprised me most in this perfume.
For those who like the ck one shock normal, this street edition is totally different, but it still be on the same "wave" of perfumes.
I must comment that the bottle is beautiful, and the graffiti have some relief... show.
Congratulations Mr. CK, I strongly recommend this perfume.
I must mention that this is my current signature scent, given that so far I am the only member Fragrantica who has one... and as you know some exclusivity is essential.
The bottle look really nice wondering what this Cologne going smell like
