Cuirs by Carner Barcelona is a Leather fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Cuirs was launched in 2011. The nose behind this fragrance is Sonia Constant. Top notes are saffron and caraway; middle notes are sandalwood, patchouli, guaiac wood, virginia cedar and violet; base notes are musk, french labdanum, tonka bean, agarwood (oud), cypriol oil or nagarmotha, amber, leather and amyris.

While Cuirs has an adequate result, the fragrance overall still seems unifinished, a good intermediate version but not what you would expect as the final product. They have put a lot of basenotes and forgot to add heart and proper topnotes to it. While it seems to achieve what it aims to, tobacco and leather, it seems an average interpretation of the theme. It also makes me think of a cheap agarwood oil that i once purchased on ebay a long time ago and also about an amplified vision of a smoky woody common masculine fragrance base. It's not bad, but far from exciting too.
10/10 aweseome fragrance, the best from their line

10/10 Projection
This is not a full review yet, but hopefully will be in the nearing future. My first impressions of Cuir was very good. It's a soft leather, but not quite suede. It has a beautiful ruggedness supported by the woods and sweet attraction in part by the Tonka. For a leather based fragrance I find it beautiful and very wearable unlike some of the others out on the market that do leather well...but not for my tastes, ie: Tom of Finland, Knize Ten, Leather Oud. And I must also say that if you like Black Afghano from Nasomatto, give this a sniff, you won't be disappointed :>}
As for Alfarom's review... This is not a shot at you personally so don't take it like that. But how exactly can you call any fragrance a rip off of three or four different fragrances. If a particular fragrance doesn't smell exactly like ONE other, then thats the exact opposite of a rip off. Sure some fragrance have some similarities, but that's due to the ingredients used and notes that support the fragrance ("a sum of the above parts"). I don't think your being fair to this one or D600 to call them a rip off when they smell quite different as a whole. And quite beautiful at that IMO.
Carner seems to be specialized in rip-offs. After the Dioresque D600 here is a musky-leather-oud with sandalwood and saffron that is part Aoud Musk (saffron-musk) part Duro (leather), part Dark Aoud (oud and sandalwood). Smells good but smells exactly like the sum of the above parts.
