Almost a passion fruit type opening with the airy spice to keep it from going into the fruit punch smell of no return. An absolute must if you're looking to get a cologne for a friend who isn't big on wearing scents.

This one is really interesting.

The top note is definitely water melon. Freah and clean, not the kind of laundry clean like other perfume but the kind of early morning fresh air clean. Watery and lil sweet, but not strong enough to grab people attention if that;s what you want to.
Then the spicy kicks in to give the perfume more depth. Right now, it starts to smell subtle, sophisticated. Really really nice. And to some people, it will be mind-blowing even though it's soft, and sometimes, smells like baby powder, which is just yummy.

I will try it again to see if I like it enough. Wish the opening note was stronger.

Simply loved it!
It opens with fresh notes, I can smell something happy on it, then it becomes sweet, but in a balanced way.
I don't know about the projection, for me it's not so strong, but I've already received compliments when wearing this.
It's warm and sexy.

Just got my 100ml bottle of Chic for Men last week and wore it for the 1st time today. This is not a life changing masterpiece (probably 'cos I just finished my bottle of L'Instant de Guerlain EDT).... but a fabulous fragrance nonetheless! The first 2hours are pure bliss. I couldn't get much watermelon but felt the bergamot and orange are more pronounced. Gets more spicy towards the dry down. I can still smell it on my wrists 8hours after the first spritz (albeit a bit faint).
The bottle is understated class and the spritzer is great. Will update if I get compliments! Right now, I do not see myself buying this again but its a great fragrance guys....defo worth a try!

The juice 'n freshness of the scent in the beginning the water mellon are very noticable later is spices up more and blends peacefully on the skin very kind and warm but at the same time very "transparant"

Its a great spring/summer scent I bought it 5 years ago when it came out.
I never saw it back again here in Holland so i suppose its off the Dutch market?

What is see when i smell it:
A modern clean shaved hair tidy metro man in designer suit with colorfull designer sport shoes underneath.

It suits more on the younger public then on the matured men i guess...but thats my opinion.

I rly wanted to like this one...unfortunately, it smelled like pepper -the one u add to food...lots of it- on me =( ...try before u buy!

When I saw water melon on top of notes I said man what I smelled was definitely a fake one so I went to stores and tested it twice separately.
I went through this best seller lady trap and yes, I got water melon too but not singly water melon of course. The name set on, it's so chic indeed. I got cardamom and pepper and a grassy tone.
Anyway, it's not a teeny item if you see water melon bold, it's so matured and so manly and is one of those perfumes that women can't take part with!
It has a woody pale undertone following linear main tone till the end. It's juicy, modern, ultra chic and easy going.

know that fragrance that everyone likes because it is, is the CHIC herrera, gentle, pleasant, mild, honey (with notes of anise and obvious), BUT IT is a pretty good guy perfume tidy, ready to go out and be with his girlfriend happily ever after. That's why I'm adept at kouros, issey, Yatagan, JPG. As its name implies, is CHIC CHIC, they can buy without fear because he always pleases, however no impact.

ادکلنی بسیار خوشبو که متاسفانه نود درصد از مغازه ها تو ایران دارند ورژن تقلبیشو به قیمت بالای 70 تومن میفروشند...به دوستان ایرانی توصیه میکنم این عطر رو تو ایران نخرند چون اصلش خیلی کم گیر میاد.برای پی بردن به این که اصل هستش یا تقلبی تنها یک راه دارید و بررسی رنگ شیشه ادکلن هستش..باقی راه ها مثل بارکد و بسته بندی تمیز و کد حک شده زیر جعبع که مطابق با زیر شیشه باشه هیچ کدوم جواب نمیدن چون همه شون به بهترین شکل در ورژن تقلبی رعایت شدند و مو لای درزش نمیره...ادکلن اوریجینال در گوشه های شیشه مکعب شکلش رگه های مشکی و خاکستری داره در حالی که ادکلن تقلبی شیشه ای کاملا شفاف و بلوری شکل داره و اگه هم بوی اریجینال رو قبلش بو کرده باشید حتما متوجه تغییراتی که تو رایحه تقلبی ایجاد شده میشید.در ضمن در ورژن تقلبی لوله اسپری مشکی رنگه اما در ورژن اریجینال سفیده.

a gentle man fragrance

Bueno debo decir que, este olor es bueno y muy rico.
Solo hay un gran problema, al principio es demasiado, demasiado alcoholico, y ese olor a alcohol tarda unos 5 a 15 minutos en desaparecer... Luego de una media hora el olor se transforma en algo tranquilo y dulce, la longevidad no es su fuerte.

No se los recomiendo es un olor que ya fue imitado muchas veces, y en la mayoria de veces esa imitacion es mejor que la original, sin tanto alcohol...

Una buena elección para el día a día, no es muy marcado y por lo tanto no cansa. Elegante pero tal vez demasiado discreto. La fijación tampoco es su fuerte aunque su segunda hora es mucho mejor que la primera. No aguanta mucho más.

just got this one. not sure if i like it as much as i thought by blind buying it.

opens up very fresh and nice! i wish it stayed that way.. after about half an hour this colognes goes very spicy!! like black pepper you put on your food spicy.

and the dry down smells very similar to D&G pour homme.

Longevity is good
projection is very good for the first hour , and then it gets very close to skin.

If a company can me a cologne that smells like the opening of this and make that last and project, I would def buy it, and make it my signature scent for life!

The best CH to me! Opens with watermelon and lemon scent mixed, after that the heart turns into a warm body, with pepper and cinnamom. The drydown becomes fresh and warm, in a great scent. And the oriental base i feel ambar and sandalwood, i think Chic is a 212 oriental. Projection good and longevidy is great, about 12 hours on my skin. The ladys love that!

Start fresh !"all people say that this is watermelon but i dont get it.
I'll probably say that this is effect of bergamot and lemon.
After 10 min a storm of spices came out with a very pleasent cinnamon ,cardamom and pepper smell.
And then dry down to musky woody base!!
It's a little bit sweet because of cinnamon.
It's a versatile and compliment getter and "very" nice smell!
Longevity about 6 hours and projection is very good.
Amazing
P.S: i would also say that it shares similarity with 212 and carolina herrera for men "original"

i think i'm going to make this my signature, love it! esp after the drydown it smells amazing, subtly seductive, sexy and sophicticated.

Fruity-citrus opening, but not the normal take on citruses start like in other fresh fragrances - this one feels very special cause of watermelon which appears clear and nice surrounded by a slight bitter fruity feeling. Addictive indeed, as other user mentioned.

On my skin, this initial feeling stayed more than 2 hours, slowly merging into a spicy & little sweet middle that combined with the fruity notes remained from opening create a beautiful and relaxing aura.

The base is very similar to Carolina Herrera for Men and 212 Men base notes, almost like a combination of best notes from each one.

A hit in my nostrils guide, above average sillage and longevity and definitely a must have for me.
My humble rank 8.8/10.

I borrowed this cologne off a friend for a christmas party. Upon opening the bottle I nearly fainted from ecstacy as the heavenly scent filled my nostrils and put my brain chemistry in overtime. That night at the christmas party I squirted some on the front of my jeans and girls were literally coming up and sniffing my crotch. This led to some interesting encounters in the disabled toilet I can tell you! I now wear this scent everywhere I go and people have stopped me in the street and said if they don't get my smell on me right there and then, they'll go insane! Sometimes when I'm on my own I sniff it and it makes me hard.

Very mascuiline, sexy and sophisticated fragrance. It sure is a man's scent:)

It smells fresh opening with Watermelon,Bergamot,A Lovely heart of Spice and A Warm base of Tonka bean,Sandalwood and Musk. In fact it is Aquatic at first but after a few minutes it starts to Spicy and Woody. It is Not too Heavy and not too Light.

CHIC is a A very Good all purpose fragrance.It works very well in any season Especially SPRING/AUTUMN. The Perfect scent for the OFFICE but also Surprisingly Subtle when wear in INTIMATE occasions.Ladies love it. It has a Definite sweet smell to it,but no doubt,it is a Masculine cologne.

I love it, it is so fresh, fruity and sweet, at the same time so balanced and inoffensive. Too bad it lasts only for 2 hours on me, it stays later close to skin. It's a pity that it isn't stronger, otherwise it would be my nr 1!

I made a blind buy yesterday , and it was the Chic For Men , i took the bottle & drove back to home. During the red signal of the road i took the bottle unfold the box .. and spritz on my wrist .... OMG , a very luxerious auroma filled the car , this is really very luxerious sophisticated scent.... and u know what , i kept driving one hand on the wheel , the other close to my nose coz i couldnt stop my self sniffing at it .
conclusion:
This one is sooo decent & clean to the extend that u will wounder in what occation shall i put this luxerious fragrance.But the only problem it is not last long , only i think 2-3 hours.

I've been wanting to buy chic for over a year now, every time I went to purchase I'd end up buying something else. Now that I have it I'm asking myself what was I thinking all this time, this scent definitely has to go down in history as one of the greatest ever. It mixes very well with my body chemistry. I instantly added it to the fragrances that I love category on my profile.

It begins a bit sweet then drys down into something marvelous, warm and kinda sensual yet still maintains that element of masculinity. It's a mature but not an old scent that says that I'm self assured and I know what I'm about. It can easily make that transition form the office to the intimate setting of a dimly lit restaurant, just remove your tie, button down you shirt and roll up your sleeves.

The scent is complex and even though I tend to prefer oriental fragrances, I'm really enjoying this one. The dry down for some reason reminds me of burberry touch but I prefer this one by leaps and bounds I feel as if I'm insulting the fragrance by comparing it to touch but that's what it reminds me of

Don't know how I'm going to up this one the next time a purchase a fragrance.

After reading all the compliments on this site , I decided to buy Chic. Initially , I liked the smell , which reminded me of 212. However , it's very light and I just stop smelling it after minutes so I have to apply again. In my opinion , not as good as 212 or Givenchy PH. Shame I never got a single compliment on this one. No more CH for me.

One of the few sweet and masculine scents that are so versatile that they also could work well during warmer months. I like the melon opening and the sensual base. The structure is similar to 212 men. 212 men is more for the warmer months where I prefer this during fall.

ok ive been really up and down with this scent, when i first purchased it i hated it, as time went on i would just spray it on my jacket and stuff and an amazing scent kept following me... it was chic, very complex scent that gives it its own originality

EDIT - after many attempts wearing this cologne, people keep saying that it smells like alcohol around me, its chic, not gonna wear it anymore)

One of the real masterpieces....refined, classy, well blended and balanced. It suits every occassion in my opinion, and can be worn safely, a real must buy!

i'm addicted to it.i combine it with a touch of red door for women and it's a hit.

this perfume seems too classic for me, I rarely find an occasion to wear it..
the smell is nice but doesn't seem to have something special ... it lasts a lot though , smy jacket still smelled of it after 3 weeks

Since it is my 1st review i have 2say that i m an anti-fan of aquatic scents :)

Chic 4men combines and balances the sweetness, spiciness and woodiness together very well.
Top starts with some citrus and watermelon notes. Many sales assistances argued with me that it was a fresh citrus cologne.
But citrus fades away quickly and spicy mid-notes comes, pepper and cinnamon, joined with watermelon sweetness which is very nice and delicious. When the base appears with woody and musky notes, watermelon and mid-notes r still evident within the base.
Very good longevity and sillage.
Far better and different than many others out there. Btw almost all CH line shares some similarities and this is not an exception.
Very masculine and alluring fragrance, one of my fav. can be used anytime anywhere. Highly recommended if u like sweet spicy scents.

Chic, subtle and virile. It's safe and sweet due to the wood-spice-citrus balance. Due to that, the watermelon is not allowed to dominate.

A very sexy and subtle cologne. It is oriental, yes, but I think it is for the spring-summer seasons. It is one of the few colognes which have a nice and not in your face accord of cinnamon, which is awesome. It has also a melon scent which is not at all cheap, and which I love. It is maybe my favourite cologne besides Very Irresistible collection from Givenchy. Although it is chic, it is very juvenile.

I always liked Herrera for Men, its older sister scent, so I wasn't really amazed with Chic when I first tried. But with time, this is becoming one of my liking. A very well rated scent, I discovered it just a couple of months ago. Musk in the background, surrounded by a light but persistent sweet fruit smell. Way better than a lot of sweet scents around here, elegant and nice.

i've notice that durign dry down it's quite simillar to armani diamonds... but this is much better - more close to the body, calm and peaceful

spicy and sweet fragrance...best to be worn in the evening! a very sexy fragrance! Woman seems 2 love it!
