Nocturnes de Caron by Caron is floral aldehyde fragrance for women. The nose behind this fragrance is Roger Pellegrino. Top notes are aldehydes, orange, green notes, mandarin orange and bergamot; middle notes are cyclamen, tuberose, orris root, jasmine, ylang-ylang, lily-of-the-valley and rose; base notes are sandalwood, amber, musk, benzoin, vanilla and vetiver.
Nocturnes de Caron was launched in 1981. The nose behind this fragrance is Gerard Lefort.

A really nice aldehyde scent! elegant and delightful. Classic!!!
Nocturne is very light and soft, smells like white flower under the sunshine, and it's feminine and decent at same time.
I recommend this one to all those who fear/hate aldehyde fragrance. You must try Nocturne out before making your mind, otherwise you'll miss a truely beautiful experience!
I say so because I used to fear aldehyde myself, they're loud, thick and sometimes makes me sick. But when the first time I meet Nocturne, I change my mind totally.

Nocturne is a very calssical fragrance, powdery and flowery, elegant and sophisticated. Although it was created in the 80s, it is not a loud fragrance and far from beeing vulgar. And fortunately enough, it has not yet been re-formulated - like many of the old Caron classics, which have undergone changes which make me cry. Nocturnes is still there, not really exciting, but pleasant.
