An aromatic tribute to the goddess to whom Emperor Tiberius dedicated one of the island's majestic villas. The mature notes of wild fig combine with tea leaf: a dynamic and spirited blend.
The fragrance is available in Parfum 50 ml and Eau de Toilette 50-100 ml. Io was launched in 2000. The nose behind this fragrance is Laura Tonatto.
Lotion washable of windows ?. To very apologize all come to like it.
Can anyone make a decant for me to try? Ill gladly pay. Pm me. Thanks
Oh yes! Uplifting, fresh and herbaceous. Just like a walk through a field of mint. Longevity is good on this. I could actually smell it on my clothes the next day. Great summer pick-me-up for girls and guys.
Thanks scorpiosheep for the opportunity to try this!
Missk has got this one in a nutshell. I bought unsniffed, and totally fell in love at first spray. I was immediately transported back to that salad veg section in a supermarket, where Diptyque Philosykos took me, but this time there is freshly chopped mint and lovely tea in with the fig. I was looking to buy Heeley Figueir for its longevity, but Io smells very similar and is very good value for money. We are nearly in winter here in Oz, but this will be just perfect for our long, hot summer days, if I can keep myself away from it for six months. This could definitely be unisex.
It sounded so promising, but from the moment I took it out of its package, I knew it was not meant to be. It all started when the decant I purchased leaked through the tape, through the plastic bag it was in, and all over the entire mail packet. The smell that wafted up at me was.. in a word.. awful. I am rarely nauseated by a scent and regularly wear very heavy perfumes. But this one just killed me. I like fig scents, but this is very cloyingly sweet. It's akin to drinking a few too many fruity, sweet drinks, and then throwing up. It's like the smell of that puke. Not quite fruity, not quite gourmand, not fresh.
To top it all off, this thing has monstrous lasting power and sillage. I could smell the bag that it had leaked in.. from my bed.. which was a good 10 ft away. I had to wash my hands three times to get it off my fingers. Needless to say, it has been expelled from my house.
Finally a Carthusia fragrance that suits both men and women.
Io Capri is a beautiful, fresh, clean and exotic blend of mint, tea and wild fig. A touch of soap in this fragrance makes it so perfect for warm weather.
The mint in this fragrance smells nothing like toothpaste or sugared mints. It's more herbaceous, like a mint leaf picked fresh from a plant and then ground into a cup of hot tea with a side plate of figs.
It's a touch green, but nothing grassy or mossy. The rich tea note does tend to dominate, however the scent is rather soft, so it's nothing like the monster Eau Parfumee au The Rouge by Bvlgari which reminds me of teacher's staffrooms.
Io Capri is rather true to the Mediterranean weather; pleasant, wearable and never overbearing. If I were to travel on a cruise-ship tomorrow, this is what I'd choose to wear.
I particularly like this fragrance's rather casual and laid-back approach. It makes me feel comfortable just being me. This fragrance doesn't need to be masculine and/or feminine, sexy, loud or sharp to make a statement. It's beautiful on its own.
Spearmint, milk candy and ripe fig. Warm and delicious.
Nice and energetic warm scent. Very expressive fig and green leaves. Love it.
Io is so fresh and lush. Just filled with mushed figs. not very sweet but a green, minty fruitness. It is longlasting too. If you like figs than go for this one. Just perfect for airy summerdays
Io smells of green fig. I feel a bit fresh mint too, and background smell herbs. Beautiful, joyful fragrance of summer day on Capri. It's not typically femine, so, I think , if buy it, but it so pleases me.
