1881 Men by Cerruti is a woody aromatic fragrance for men. 1881 Men was launched in 1990. The nose behind this fragrance is Martin Gras. Top notes are carnation, black currant, lavender, juniper, galbanum and bergamot; middle notes are vetiver, ylang-ylang and lily-of-the-valley; base notes are sandalwood, patchouli, musk, oakmoss and cedar.

This is a sophisticated perfume - definitely for a man of maturity. I wouldn't suggest it for a man under the age of 30. Very elegant, harks back to an age of discovery and fine etiquette.

Citrus-green.
The name is connected to the tradition of the Cerruti couture house. Brothers Stefano, Antonio and Quintino established a firm producing fabrics in 1881.
Cerruti 1881 is also a name of the boutique and main office in the centre of Paris.
Moreover, by the producers' account, the numerals can be read symbolically - '1' is creativity and ambition, '8' is perfection and fulfilment, and '1881' is mysteriousness and the art of seduction.

The fragrance is solid, strong, modern, elegant, manly and authentic.
