Allure Homme Edition Blanche by Chanel
For: men Designer: Chanel Olfactive Group: OrientalThis time the accent is put on the fragrance for men created by Jacques Polge as a 'diamond fragrance', what means that this is a fragrance with many facets, or to be precise, the strength of the fragrance is reappearing with the fragrant levels.
The first level brings spicy aromas of black pepper united with pink pepper from Madagascar. The second level brings in fresh aromas with the scent of leather, Sicilian lemon, Calabrian bergamot, and sandalwood which gives it a depth.
The third level introduces oriental accords with Brazilian Tonka, white musk, Haiti vetiver and sandal wood. This level also reveals aromas of ginger and velvety vanilla wrapped in amber. The fourth level brings woodsy accords of cedar wood which add to the masculine character of this fragrance.
It is available since February 2008 and comes as 50ml (1.7 fl.oz.) and 100ml (3.4 fl.oz.) EDT and50ml (1.7 fl.oz.) and 100ml (3.4 fl.oz.) after shave.

IMHO, these are the only strong notes left apart from a mild vetiver and amber staying close to my skin. It is a very nice well-formulated scent but unfortunately, not for me ☻
I prefer Allure Homme Sport over this one. FYI, Allure Homme Edition Blanche is definitely a good summer fragrance ☻
Cheers,

On my skin, Edition Blanche opens smelling like a lemon pie. Then the vetiver note together with the vanilla one come to stage and stay for quite some time. Anyway, vetiver is not one of my favorite ingredients. Sorry, Allure, but you're not for me.

I was with my girlfriend & my sister when i bought this scent. I was taken away by its fragrance at first sniff & so were my gf & my sister. it's a very irresistable scent not just IMO, but so as my gf & my sister's opinion as well. so irresistable that i just had to get one right then & there.
it's yet another solid release by chanel a future classic. I believe that it's of limited release by chanel, so for those interested, go on get yourself one now while supply lasts.

It's one of those rare scents that has no top/heart/base notes. It starts with lemon and ends the same, just a touch of spices also you feel in it, as well as a touch of vanilla.
The longevity is a bit low (considering my weak skin, which a scent usually might hardly remain on it), but yet one really cute nice scent.
I wonder why it's being categorized in oriental group, while I believe it could be placed in the citrus family.
And... this scent stands to be "A man for all season". :-)
Hope that Chanel does not cease producing it! ;-)

6 / 10

polo shirt+ white, loose trouser+ this scent = summer lounge :)

The opening for Homme Blanche (HB) is lemon. There is very much a strong citrus essence when applied. However, the sensation is natural and pleasing. Think of slicing fresh, crisp, juicy, lemons for a pitcher of homemade lemonaid. I love citrus that is done well. It invigorates and makes me feel so very clean. The citrus in HB is exquisite and one to savor.
The notes pyramid indicates pepper in HB. However, it is very mild and not pronounced at all in this fragrance. The pepper as well as the cedar linger gently in the background. Some have commented that HB disappears but I think that may be a misinterpretation of what is really its transition to a gentler, warmer phase of development.
HB is like a parlor fireplace. The fire begins with intense flames then transitions to soft, glowing embers. There is romance is in the cozy warmth of the embers. HB evolves accordingly from an intense citrus opening to a much softer woods and light vanilla/tonka bean sweetness. The lemon fades into the background but a hint of it lingers through part of the dry down.
I wore this for the first time today and I've already received compliments. One lady asked to smell my neck not once but twice. Try HB. I think you'll be pleased.

I met thanks to a sample of the tester of Chanel Allure Homme Sport (EDT, gray metal pot) and I loved its smell, but disappointed me greatly because their poor durability was less than 2 hours and the initial scent was transformed into an common scent and almost imperceptible. Then I met the Allure Homme Sport Cologne (boat transparent) and I loved it, fresh and lasting fragrance (about 6-8 hours) and with very good fixation. And when I thought buy it, I got to try the Edition Blanche, which is a similar aroma with a touch more refined. I think that this fragrance is 10/10, plus his durability is also very good and has a proper projection (non invasive).

Update: Hello BLV ... The notes are differents, but the feeling just after the first spray was very close, specially on the clothes. The Bvlgari BLV pour homme, at that moment, remembered this Chanel. I know, there are not lemons there, and there are not soapy here ...

AHEB is a lovely, well-crafted, gentle citrus. The spice is added with a delicate touch, the vanilla is barely there, the woodsy notes are handled with care. It is not tart, nor sweet, but there is a warmth & light creaminess from the cedar/sandalwood/vanilla combo. It is multifaceted, yet homogenous. Nothing is off balance or overpowering in this creation. As vdxl says, it smells of real lemons - this scent is not synthetic in any way which shows its pedigree.
It is NOTHING like Chanel Allure, nor is it as full-on as sport versions.....it leans towards the sport, but we're talking cricket & lawn tennis, not surfing & base-jumping :)
Chanel female fragrances are great actresses, but I'd rather see a perfume's REAL personality (that said, they have made a few true classics & those ones speak volumes). AHEB's personality has the volume turned way down, so it whispers (not screams)laid-back class.
If it had shoes, it'd have well-used, well-kept, good quality, italian brown leather ones, hand-made in Milan.
