Allure Sensuelle has preserved its unique and playful fickleness with dazzling citrus, fruity and floral notes, and magnificent wooden accords. Resemblance is there, yet the fragrance has become more mysterious and shady. It has not become heavier, but unlike the dazzling brightness and joyful sunny character of the classic Allure, Allure Sensuelle is warmer, its powdery (iris) and oriental notes are accentuated. Its sweet notes (candied fruits) are not obtruding, but hidden in sensual spices and frankincense.

The top notes contain bergamot, mandarin and pink pepper. The heart is composed of jasmine, rose, iris, candied fruits and vetiver followed by the base notes of French vanilla, amber, patchouli and frankincense. The perfume was created in 2006 by Jacques Polge. Its face is charming actress Anna Mouglailis.

Allure Sensuelle Fragrance Reviews

Sugar419
Sugar419

I have worn this perfume a few times, but never felt pushed to review it until today.
I sprayed it on this morning and felt it was very biting and alcohol-infused, so I wondered if my bottle was going bad. After an hour or so, I noticed it had toned down, but still felt like the notes were jumbled and sharp. I was acutely aware of the sillage all morning and was actually kind of disturbed by it, feeling it was probably too much for the office. I couldn't pinpoint any one note in particular, it just felt busy, hectic and overwhelming and I figured I probably wouldn't be wearing it again.
At lunchtime, I started noticing a nice fragrance in the restaurant, and I wondered who was wearing it. After a while, I realized it was me! I sniffed the spots where I had sprayed Sensuelle and I was amazed at how delicious, warm and soft it had become! I'm not even sure when it started, but it was definitey after the first hour. I'm still not able to recognize any one note except a definite patchouli scent, which I love.
As I said, I have worn this perfume before and never noticed such a change in its composition in the past, but I have had a baby since the last time I wore it, so maybe that changed my chemistry. At any rate, I now absolutely LOVE it.
Allure Sensuelle-strong, powerful, sexy and soft all at the same time. Definitely worth a try, one of my newly rediscovered favorites.

It's not a bad perfume, certainly I wouldn't mind smelling it on others, but on me...

I tried to like it, but here's my impressions- too much patchouli. This, plus the pink pepper and sandalwood make it smell "dusty", like dust gathered on a puddle of precious oils.

It does hold something of the original Allure, the cold vanilla is lurking underneath. But not enough.

It's ok, but I'll be giving my bottle to a friend who likes it more than I do.

Fantastic! If you have the patience to wait for the top notes to fade a bit and you put it on 15/30 min before going out, you will be hugely rewarded. This is a wonderful perfume that grows on you. In my opinion, Sensuelle is far better than Allure which is very different and smells a bit dated and too mature sometimes. Sensuelle smells very woody and a bit masculine, lots of patchouli, but not too much that you cannot breath. Pencil shavings mixed with candied fruits and vanilla. The feminine and masculine mix. The strong wow factor I look in a fragrance.
This is not for very young girls but for women whose great confidence comes from life experience. Personally, I think Allure Sensuelle would suit better someone from the age of 30 onwards.

A Chanel perfume. Sandalwood, iris, vanilla and patchouli notes. Expectations were high. It appears skin chemistry does make or break this fragrance. There wasn't much development on my skin, just stayed as it sprayed - which is a lovely warm floral initially but after 8 hours it was like a guest who'd outstayed their welcome. If only the spicyness had kicked in it would have made this perfume more interesting. Will try this again in the Spring/Summer, but for now the search for my Chanel fragrance goes on...

I have been wearing Chanel perfumes my entire life. I have had a very long love affair with Bois de Iles and another one with No. 19. My mother has always been No. 5, my sister Coco, my grandmother No.22. I also had a brief dalliance with Coco Mademoiselle and Coromandel. Out of all of them, Allure Sensuelle is my favorite because its beautiful and wearable and right for every circumstance in my life. I rue that it has an association with Allure, because I feel she stands alone.
I am so gratified to find so many other people claiming Sensuelle as their signature fragrance. Since we have that connection, I am sure we'd all be instant friends.

I am a regular user of AS EDT. I have just received 35ml of EDP and I am dissapointed by its lasting power. It stays close to my skin and after 3 hours it s gone. Surprisingly, EDT has better lasting power on my skin.

I forgot to mention that AS body lotion is amazing. Its aroma is very persistent and long lasting. My clothes are impregnated by it :)

Wow. I never tried this perfume before, because I always bought Coco Mademoiselle, but I am so charmed by this beauty. I don't really understand why this one is not such a bestseller as Coco or Chance or nr. 5. This one is amazing. I always think Chanel does a great job in their perfumes.

It starts sexy and warm and the drydown is even better. Lovely !!

Here's the thing about Eau Sensuelle:
If compared to the regular EDT, then it's somewhat better. But when smelled next to the EDP, we're talking about a perfect KO. The EDP wins hands-down, IMO.
There's that molecule again, in Eau Sensuelle, that "dark" resin-woody, "mysterious"-esque impression the company wanted to create. And my skin doesn't like it.
Eau Sensuelle, compared with the EDP, is flat, synthetic, un-interesting. It doesn't meld, it's not warm or gives itself to your chemistry.
It's a young woman trying to be classy, while the EDP is the real deal, and doesn't need some trendy molecule to blow you away. She's it. Eau Sensuelle is not.

This perfume should come with a warning label. Allure Sensuelle is extremely sexy, do NOT wear it if you don't want to attract unwanted attention. But if you wish to cast a spell over your intentional prey, this perfume will do half of the job for you. Do not use it all the time, you could wear out its potency, instead save it for the times when you move in for the kill. Allure Sensuelle is not a perfume, it's a weapon. Use with caution. You have been warned.

From the bunch of the three Chanel favorites of mine (Coco Mademoiselle, Allure EDP and Allure Sensuelle) Allure Sensuelle does not happen to be the top one!
Yet it is the one I receive literally tons of compliments; today I got seven!
Sensuelle is a powerful oriental juice, with sophisticated and warm woodsy base which is the moment well worth waiting for :-)
The opening is a floral fruity spicy combo, the heart is purely floral and the dry down is a definite Oscar winner; spices, sandalwood, vetiver and patchouli.
Sensuelle is deep, rich, classy and goes really strong.
The three sprays applied at 7;00am lasted on me until well after lunch.
My scarves and cardigans smell for days!
Sensuelle will make a perfect signature fragrance for a very confident and elegant lady.
Sensuelle is so far my best blind buy.
Masterpiece.
9.5/10.

Discontinued??? No, please, say it isn't so! I fell in love with this scent from a wee small sample vial - and I had to have at least one bottle of it. I eventually splurged (for me) on a slightly used bottle of EDP on Ebay. I sounds as though I must stock up now so that I will always have this for when I want to fall in love over and over again with this absolutely gorgeous scent! This scent caused me to seek out everything that Jacques Polge had created--and that thankfully led me to another love - Diva by Ungaro! BRAVO! BRAVO!! BRAVISSIMO!!!!

My husband purchased the original Allure for me when we first started dating, which I enjoyed as it is nice but a tad too floral to make it an absolute fav of mine. Then he came home a year later with Sensuelle. I'll admit (reluctantly) that the first whiff didn't impress me much . . . which appears to be the consensus amongst those of us who ADORE this fragrance. The top notes are a bit too sharp in their floral delivery, and if they lasted much longer than their short-lived 20-30 minutes, they'd probably give me a headache.

Luckily for me I waited it out & discovered a gentle rose / jasmine blend that introduces a hint of soft powdery iris & lavendar. Then I became enveloped in an intimate, complex blend of smoky amber and a lingering, dusty vanilla that isn't too sticky sweet or overpowering. SEXY as ALL GET-OUT!!!

Quite honestly, I could not pull my nose away from my wrist - - it's addicting!! I made this my signature frgrance and used to wear it both night and day. I could even wear it to work as it's luscious without being too haughty. My husband absolutely LOVES it on me, not to mention countless men (AND women!!) who have stopped me everywhere I go, asking "what is that wonderful scent you're wearing?". Only wish it lasted a bit longer on me.

It definitely isn't for the faint of heart or the shy, innocent young girl. This is a fragrance for a woman comfortable in her own skin who revels in a scent that suggests subdued, seductive intrigue.

It is a wonderful advance for Chanel from Coco, to Madmoiselle, to Allure, to Sensuelle. I'm broken-hearted, though, that it has been discontinued, so I now have to purchase it directly from Chanel and save it only for special occasions. Who knows . . . hopefully the discontinuance is simply temporary to revamp those top notes?!! I'm praying for a newly evolved release!!

Sweet yet spicy, stands out but not overpowering, a safe bet, if you are unsure..

0- 2 hours - Projection excellent, oranges, sticky, bubbling little spicy fizz bombs, just like Anateus Homme in that way

2 - 7 hours - Projection good, around 1 foot around, becomes a little more spicier as times go on. Could be Unisex but would say a little more feminine than pour homme. Oranges still there

Very Good all rounder

I love the dry down of this fragrance, the vanilla smoothens it, however initially when I put it on for the 1st 20 minutes I find it too heavy, too spicy & overpowering. Once it settles it smells very exotic & sensual. Very little of this should be applied as it can take a while to settle into that beautiful velvety floral oriental. I especially like the Bergamot, pink pepper & vanilla combination.
Allure Sensuelle has longevity, the only other Chanel perfume I love is Coco Madamoiselle. Unlike Allure Sensuelle, Coco Madamoiselle smells easy on the nose right from the top notes, so there is no waiting time. I love Allure Sensuelle but have to put it on half an hour before I leave the house, to give myself time to overcome the top notes....

Love the drydown in this!

But I find it hard to ride the harsh waves of the opening until I'm carried safely to shore.

You can tell this is Chanel. All their perfumes have a common genome that is easily recognizable. And I appreciate that and adore it.

The drydown is an oriental dream of creamy vanilla, woods, and subtle lavender doused in a souq of spices.

Two thumbs up!

Generally I don't tend to wear Chanel perfumes because I haven't often found one that suits me.

However, I found a bottle of this in my closet (even though I don't remember buying it) and I tried it and I found I actually do like it, once it's been on a while anyway.

The initial fragrance I didn't really like at all. All I could smell was strong patchouli with a hint of fruity scents hidden behind it.

Once it dried down though and the patchouli smell waned a little, I really enjoyed wearing it.

On me it dries down to a spicy vanilla scent with a hint of woods, and it's probably my favorite Chanel perfume. Where some of their scents are a bit too mature and dated for me, this is more modern, while still retaining the essence of classic Chanel.

It has pretty good sillage and the scent lasted for about 8 hours.

If it wasn't for the overly strong patchouli in the top notes, I would love this perfume. As it is I like it and would rate it 7/10.

Allure Sensuelle is quite sophisticated and serious, but sensual at the same time. I find it creamier and rounder than Allure EDP (which I also love). I actually don't find the patchouli to be that noticeable, so I'm surprised to see it as the strongest note voted at the top. This fragrance has a muted-spice quality. It is dry, dusty vanilla, warm vetiver and labdanum, and velvety florals. I pick up on the peach a little, but it is certainly not an overly sweet or fruity peach scent. There's also something in Allure Sensuelle that adds some freshness, but I'm not sure what it is....maybe the lavender?

For me this fragrance has a classy, vintage-like feel. The soft, dry quality somehow reminds me of everything from antiques, to old books, to the unique dusty scent of a makeup bag. I mean that in a great way....this really is a different and elegant fragrance! It's cozy, warm, and classy.

I really enjoy this one...it's also seems to be not as widely worn as some of the other new Chanels (i.e. Coco Mademoiselle, Chance), which is an added bonus.

Very chic and french, not my favourite from the Chanel house but it is a safe fragrance for when you need to feel special. This is not a man trapp by itself has many have said but it is definatly a fragrance that claims personality and charm. It does somewhat have that 80' characterisctic of the "sexy" scents because it maked me think about lace lingerie under a silk blouse. A little bit to "church pearl necklace" for my taste but I'm going to wear it in special occasions like weddings.
Perfect for a religious kind of sunday or if you are that type of person who's like to seduce in a distant way.

I disliked this when I tried it when it first came out, but tried it again, thinking maybe as I'm a little bit older I might like it more, especially as I like Allure.
But no. From the notes I should love this. The opening is just so strong. A gush of florals that don't quite blend with the bitter spices. Somewhere in the middle something turns rancid on my skin. I then begin to get a candied scent before it gets to the base of amber, vanilla, patchouli and frankincense, yet still with the hint of jasmine. If this smelled the way the base does, once the fragrance has worn down for a while, I would really like it, but unfortunately that is not the case. It is just too strong and perfumey for me sadly

I wish that Jaques Polge would get his finger out for Chanel - this really is not an interesting fragrance for the money. It is a pleasant, good quality office fragrance which neither offends nor makes you want to lean in closer. I'm much more impressed by his 'Diva' composed for Ungaro on a tenth of his Chanel budget but far more worthy of praise. These 'polite' orientals really annoy me, and I really feel they are made for the western market where people are obsessed with smelling 'clean' and non-offensive, and enjoy wearing a brand name.
A bit like eating a chilli with the habaneros removed.

Allure Sensuelle has gone straight to the top of my favourites list.
I love orientals but I hate powder, incense, wood, leather and amber, and very loud strident notes, yet I want rich sensuality and a positive character, and this perfume is the perfect answer It has to be my floral/oriental from Heaven. It is quite a surprise to find Chanel doing such a strong and sensual Dior-like perfume, a sister of Dolce Vita. From the first intense sumptuous floral bouquet reached my nose, I had fallen in love. This is as good as it gets.

My husband loves it on me and i'm always "in between". It's a nice scent, longlasting, but a little on the fresh-green side. I think I smell something like melon . Somehow the scent is nice, but somehow it's also not my scent-group (too green/fresh).

PS: I just re-tested it today and still didn't like it. It had something benzoic to it somehow. I guess I simply don't like scents where patchouli dominates.

Hi.

ALLURE SENSUELLE entices the people around you to lean in closer and breathe deeply. It is rich and warm without being too floral or heady. However rather it has a old-fashioned scent that reminds me of the classic, iconic 70s fashionista but totally this kind of fragrances are always interminable. Oriental, Seductive,Captivating,Evocative and Absolutely French.

A blend of fruity tope notes and especially patchouli meld over a rich heart of Rose and Pink Pepper, while a warm base of sandalwood, vetiver and super absolute of vanilla round out the scent with an air of sensual that if the opening was as excellent as dry down for me this CHANEL EDP was perfectly.

ALLURE SENSUELLE is a nice perfume to layer for going out in the Evening.Definitely for the Winter and a self confident and bold not a shy and Faint-Hearted character.Anyway if you are looking for a Oriental Floral perfume to make men turn their heads and women envy your sexuality this is what you need.

Sillage?Impressive

Longevity?Surprisingly Good on my skin.

I'm unsure if it's still sold overseas, but in the U.S. it was discontinued a few years ago. It's a bolder and more alluring scent for Chanel. The brand usually sticks to what they know, which are classic and relatively neutral scents. They don't push the edge of sensual fragrances, but this was a departure from that. It was my favorite of the Chanel scents. Someone once described it as a Sophia Loren scent, and I agree.

Chanel Allure Sensuelle is alluring.
It is a spicy, very feminine and ulta-sexy scent. It is fitted for a woman who is very confident of her sexuality. When I sprayed it, It warmed my skin and senses, I knew there and then that chemistry was present. I think it's the pepper and spices that has a kick to this scent. Ive purchased it together with another Chanel scent and I can tell the big difference.
I love it, it works for me. It brings me to a different level of sexiness. What a pity I never wanted to try Allure Sensuelle before. I guess I've arrived to the right time to get Allure Sensuelle.

if you take Tom Ford Black Orchid, combine it with Coco Mademoiselle, then remove the notes that didn't mix well - and you get Allure Sensuelle. At least, that's how my nose perceives it. And you know what? I like it. It wasn't love at first sniff, but it captured my attention eventually.
Allure Sensuelle is feminine, long-lasting meloney/woody/vanilla; it's the perfume people always notice on me and complement me on it. But my favourite part is that I don't encounter it as often on other people as Coco Mademoiselle, Chance, Allure etc.

Outstanding! At least to my likes. This plays a lot like Coco Mademoiselle on opening with sparkling bergamot and pepper--nice and bright.

I love the fresh rosiness in Allure Sensuelle--not heavy but feminine and well balanced with sweet, dried fruit in the heart.

The drydown, oh! The drydown... a little 'prickly' patchouli for a come-stroke-me invitation combined with glowing amber and sensual vanilla. Vetiver adds a rooty note that contributes to a dry, salacious dimension. Very grounded and sexy.

I do prefer this to Allure EDT which was a favorite of mine for a very long time, and of which I don't find many similarities. So far, Allure Sensuelle is my most favorite Chanel.

Chanel's "Allure Sensuelle" is one intensely~heady fragrance. You can clearly smell the difference between it and its olders siblings. Whereas Allure EDP & EDT were powdery, coquettish and innocent, Sensuelle is sensual, bold and daring. The opening is a bit too much for me. It's really strong and I thought I wasn't going to be able to get pass it, but I did. Once the heady opening disappeared, sweet sensuality was released onto my skin. Rose, jasmine, peaches, bergmot, labdanum, spices, oranges, patchouli, vetiver, lavender, sandalwood, pink pepper, orris and vanilla........One of the best warm~oriental~floral mesh-ups on the market. I was trying to decide which Allure version I liked best. All of the fragrances are gorgeous in their own way, but there's something undeniable sensual and unforgettable about Sensuelle. So, she's definitely got my vote. Another big hit for the design house of Chanel. All Allure lovers should definitely give gorgeous Ms. Sensuelle a try. Ideal for the autumn~winter season. Definitely not an old lady fragrance but better suited for all divas mature enough to handle its sensuality.

In my opinion, Allure Sensuelle ( I have an EDP) is the only Chanel fragrance (besides Chanel # 5 which i don't have the guts to wear) with a lot of character: deep, complex, luxurious and seductive.
I can't really pick the notes apart, but they are blended so well together, the scent is in perfect harmony, no more no less. The staying power and sillage are excellent. To me this fragrance is well worth the investment and repurchasing.

Very good scent. I REALLY love 31 Rue Cambon, but it doesn't last very well on me. I think 31RC smells very similar to Allure Sensuelle, with AS having a touch of added sweetness. It is WAY stronger than 31 RC. If I am going to spend that kind of money, I had better be able to smell it! Go big or go home!

Again, LT has me in shock; gives 31RC 5* masterpiece, one of the 10 greatest perfumes of all time...and Allure Sensuelle 3*?! HUH? I love to see what he thinks of scents I love, but I will not be swayed when I am in love. Greatest nose in the world or not, this just smells better on me. I cannot smell melon though as the great nose does. I am glad of this, as I don't generally like melon in my fragrances....it makes them watery, which I detest.

This is a Deep scent, and so comforting and warm in the winter....and where I live, that's A LOT of the time! Will also make you feel so sexy.....I know I add a little more sway to my walk when I wear it, I don't mean to, it just happens...

Even better than original Allure..

Allure Sensuell Edp is sexy, spicy and has a strong vanilla base. This fragrance stays warm, soft and does not get sharp.

Allure Sensuelle is not a fragrance for everyone to wear. It must be worn with the confidence of a real woman. Definetly a scent best for night, a bit too heady for daytime wear. It is incredibly magnetic and will receive a lot of attention.

This fragrance must be applied in small quantities.

it's nice but to handle only with very light hand !!!!!
the heavy patchouli overdose is really strong uuuuh, it ruins a little bit the whole composition for me, after a while when it dries down on skin it becomes sweeter and better. but strong breathtaking (in a bad way) mossy patchouli still there. nice peppery rose and lavender. agree this is a bit masculine though ! don t think it would feature in my favelist. sillage average.... staying power endless.

i can only imagine Cruella de Ville to wear proudly this fume! a heart of steel and rude sexiness to death.

>>edit<< i gave this another try today. i do believe really now that to apply this directly on my wrists and inner ellbow and behind ears was too mutch.
today by walking through the dust of some sprays the result is daring! the only way for me to enjoy 'beauty&beast' perfume. :D

I have the EDP of Allure Sensuelle, and for the entire day, (on me) patchouli is the domininant note along with a close-to-the skin hint of vanilla. If you aren't a fan of patchouli (as is my husband) then I wouldn't bother with this fragrance.

Gorgeous skin type fragrance. When first spritzed its a bit masculine but drys down to an Exquisite skin scent that is deeply sensual, vanillic erotic, fresh AND clean at the same time. This is manbait pure and simple. Spritz it lightly then wait about 30 minutes to sniff your skin. When I wear this my partner goes nuts, he asks me if Im wearing Shalimar lol...

if i would have to describe allure sensuelle in one word it would be: sharp. the staying power is amazing. quite similar to the original allure, but has some fresh notes within it. it's more like a combination between allure and chance. i like it very much because it can be wore by younger women.

I love this scent when I first spray it on.. but within 20 minutes of wearing it, it begins giving me a headache! Also, my boyfriend thinks hes allergic to it. I bought this when I was in college and don't remember me reacting to Sensuelle this way, so maybe its me that's changed. I will say it is definitely long lasting on me.. however to tell you the truth I wish it wasn't because of the way my body reacts to it. I think this one may just be too strong for me. Maybe I should look into some of the other Chanel perfumes that aren't as strong or heady.

i remember when my mother got this as a present. i wore it for her, lol. thank god she didn't mind, hehehe.
i'm one of those ppl whose always trying to find the ONE, the scent that im going to smell and fall in love with. i've already had the first great love of my life (perfume wise, of course) and am very sad it's over, wish i could go back, but i must say this perfume was nearly the second.
this is a very sophisticated perfume, BUT its not snobby. It's the perfume of an intelligent woman. It's bold without but paradoxally subtle, it's a cloud of sexiness without being overt. Subtle and rounded out by its fruity scents (but not in that annoying candy apple way that fruity's can do.) This is a very well designed scent that anyone over the age of 18 can wear because it really doesn't have an age barrier. its mature with a hint of eternal youth.
This is a perfume you should get to know.

To me this one is not sexual at all, as a matter of fact none of the Chanels are. It smells sophisticated - yes, it smells expensive - yes, it smells highbrow - yes, but sexual - big no-no from me. Very similar to original Allure, if you have the original one don't bother spending your money on this one, almost no one will notice any difference.

@Cisco, Allure Sensuelle edp is a great bold scent with a 5 meter monster sillage and lasting 8 hours at least on my skin. I'm not sure about the edt though, but I know there is a lot of chinese knockoffs in circulation, said to smell "authentic, but not beeing as longlasting..." poured in "authentic bottles" etc etc. I found a very scary chinese wholesale site with page after page with authentic looking Allure Sensuelle (and all other Chanels, Poisons etc etc).

So beware on ebay frag friends. Knowing this I would only buy Chanels in a proper perfume shop. The dealer did the only right thing when he took it back for refund. I'll bet it was a fake.

The only Chanel that loves my skin.
Sensual, indeed, and elegant. Mature, certainly not shy, but young. Allure, in its literal sense, is an aura of style that surrounds a woman. It's in the way she walks, looks around, holds her bag..
Haughty, with class.
Wear it when you feel a rebellious Princess.

I've never thought of myself as a Chanel girl. Every time I visit the Chanel counter I always gravitate towards Allure Sensuelle. So far in my life, this is the only fragrance where I've been complimented on by disparate people [ie my sister, my dates...]. I'm thinking this might be my signature but I'm holding off a purchase for now.

Like Allure, Sensuelle is formulated to be a multifaceted gem. Equal parts sugar, spice, and everything nice.
The main selling point and of this frag is the vanilla. I usually avoid sticky smelling, intensely sweet perfumes [ie fruity/vanillic] stuff like the plague. But the juice actually contains essence of REAL bourbon vanilla. It's soft, feminine, and classy and it is incredibly well blended with a hint of flowers, spices, and a base of musky smoke. The fresh notes make it more airy , otherwise it would be a full on oriental.

On my skin, it's hard to discern the notes. But it is indeed sensual. I'm guessing the 'sensual note' is similar to cashmeran, the star ingredient of Donna Karan's Cashmere Mist. The fragrance is indeed at once cozy, sensual, warm, familiar, classy. I am in my early 20's and I really enjoy it. Being Chanel the sillage is great. You don't need to spray on too much. I've been trying the EdT. Note to self: must try Edp. What's the difference bt the two anyway?

I prefer Sensuelle over Opium. Why? As much as I like Opium the one ingredient I do not like is sandalwood. It reminds too much of my Chinese grandmother and old people smell [musky drawers filled with sandalwood and moth balls to ward off insects].

I have only tested this on a paper blotter, but- good lord- this is a one of a kind fragrance! I am actually tempted to give up trying to describe it and stop at "mmh rrrrr gaaah" :D

It is a very intense floral with a spicy-woody vanilla drydown, however the heliotrope note really lifts the scent and gives it a beautiful airy aspect.

I half expect it to turn weird on my skin because it's what patchouli usually does, but I really, really, really hope it doesn't, so that I can buy some of this bottled magic!

Allure Sensuelle smells so good!

It's creamy and warm and spicy in the same time.
I also feel it a bit mentholated?!?
...the base is so similar to the original Allure edp!
Nothing masculine about it !
Great sillage and lasting power !
I could feel the tester strip for about a week !

AS it's just a bit more spiceier and woody...and i also feel the candied fruits in this one !

I'm not sure if i will purchase it (right now ), since i allredy have the Allure edp , but, i like it and i must be sincere that from the reviews i didn't expected to.:).....
A must try, no doubt !

This is one of my latest purchases and i've worn it on a couple of evenings out with a soft black cashmere sweater and felt absolutely fantastic. i had a small sample bottle of this and at first didn't think much of it, but it sort of grew on me. there's quite a lot of jasmine in it. i had started using Yves Rocher's so elixir which has some similarities, and liked that so much that i decided to get a whole bottle of the Allure Sensuelle. well, this is getting promoted to one of my sexiest perfumes. it's not something i'd wear to work, more for special evenings or on holiday. i could still smell it hours later and it made me feel quite irresistible. it's warm and sexy without being too bedroomy or slutty. oriental without being too dark, not too sweet, just right. i am delighted with it.

Yeah, it is expensive but it smells rich and expensive as well. I only have few samples of this beauty that I keep for special occasion.
Perfect for night ( I'd wear it on both Winter and Summer nights myself ), but it could kill in hot Summer days :)

It is very sexy, very alluring. Lasting power is incredible - 24 hrs+, and my skin usually eats up a perfume very quickly. It's flirtatious and indeed tres sensuelle. As with other Chanels, not for everyone though. Not a jeans and a t-shirt type of fragrance...

I had initially bought this as a variation of my beloved Coco Mademoiselle - I thought there was something similar there. I fell in love with it... completely and madly in love. I am a big fan of patchouli and this one combines it with fruity and oriental notes. My first review was maybe not so enthusiastic about it, but now that I am back to Coco Mademoiselle, I actually miss Allure sensuelle. Without a doubt I will buy it again, and without a doubt, it is my signature scent.
One to keep exclusively for evenings though (I would never dare wear it at work). I remember once going out and I sprayed it once on my neck... half an hour later, someone at the other end of the bar table where I was sitting asked who was wearing "that perfume" (and actually recognized it was a Chanel!).
I am hooked on Chanel, even if I am still to learn to appreciate classics such as Coco (although I am coming round to it) and No5

Written words are secondhand and useless when facing her royal highness imperatrice of the roses. She is sitting in her garden and reading good night story to White Rose of York, Blush Noisette, Cardinal de Richelieu, Ispahan, Ferdinand Pichard, Penelope and Lady Hilingdon. When they close their eyes she gently strokes their heads and covers them with peach and vanilla leaves. Takes a deep breath. Noisette, bourbon, tea, pink, white, gallica, damask... no wild roses in her garden. No mistake that this is Chanel.

I am hoping that one day I will become a women who wears Allure Sensuelle.

I have it for about three years. My housband bought it to me at airport in Tunis. It is a first parfume I wanted because I liked it on my co-worker.
In the beginning I was disappoined at scent and myself because it was too strong even to me. Usually I wore it mostly at evening formal events.
But now, in last weeks, I adore it and wear it in office too, because I feel myself misterious, sensual and warm.

I can't imagine to wear it in the spring and summer.

This was given to me by my sister. The first 10-20 minutes of having this on, the scent is masculine...it is a pleasant and a very comforting masculine scent, but not something I want on me at all...BUT THEN soon the scent evolves and becomes softer/sweeter and warmer and it begins to 'glow', the masculine note dies off, but still that dusty/earthy, comforting note remains (the patchouli becomes more toned down I guess).

It does smell quite luxuriant, rich and classy...to my nose, it is a deeply comforting fragrance, but not 'sexy' or anything (well, perhaps on the sensual side?)....Infact it even reminds me a little of my jet-setting, sophisticated dad before he retired from work, he used to wear a cologne that smelled vaguely similar to this when I was younger and I remember wanting to get close to him and hug him just so I could smell him (it must definitely be due to the lavender in this!!).

With this scent on my skin, I feel subdued, warm and comforted, like being wrapped in warm blankets by a fireplace when it's snowing outside...so I really like this one, more than I like the original Allure (though I like it too), I feel this one has more character.

I believe this scent is suitable for most occasions as it is not strong (I personally don't use this as a 'date' scent), and great for fall and winter or rainy spring days when the air is crisp for a charming contrast. I think this could work well for warmer summer nights too.

I like Allure Sensuelle in spite of the fact that my nose and skin don't agree with most Chanels. I like Allure in EdP and this Allure Sensuelle both EdT and EdP. They are different scents, they bear the same name but they are not very similar. Allure Sensuelle started like a strong woody masculin mess on my skin, so I thought: "Oh no! Never a Chanel again!" but I gave it time and in just a few minutes it blended with my skin and became a soft vanillic woody sensual and quite elegant scent with some floral notes. I expected more flowers and more originality, but all in all it's a fragrance I could easily enjoy during fall and winter.
I really like the bottle and the vivid purple colour.

When it comes to Chanel fragrances it is either a hit or miss with me. While I quite enjoyed the spicy Coco, the powdery and soft Allure and the fresh and exciting No.5 eau Premiere, other Chanels like No.19, Cristalle and the highly renowned No.5 left me dissatisfied.

However along came Allure Sensuelle which restored my respect for Chanel fragrances. The scent is unique, stylish, rich and spicy. A scent that will certainly rouse up the men and awaken your animalistic desires.

Do not be turned off by the opening which tends to be rather strong and alcoholic. Once you wait it out for a few minutes, a gorgeous dusty yet sexy spice warms the skin.

In reality Allure Sensuelle is a combination of a variety of smells; spices, woods, musk, fruits and flowers. Somehow all these notes blend together successfully. I'm still in awe of this fragrance.

The patchouli note is dominant, so I'll admit that this won't appeal to some. The vanilla note also lingers in the background creating a slight sweetness and comforting warmth.

The sillage and lasting strength is unbelievably good, so good that you would find it quite overbearing in the warmer months, so it is best worn at night or during Winter.

Overall, Allure Sensuelle is indeed very sensual. Chanel never fails in producing elegant and sophisticated scents.

This is the only Chanel that I've tried and liked so far, but I've tried very few. I had a 3.4 oz bottle, and used 20% of it. It's very well done, slightly musky, slightly amber spicy vanilla fragrance. The opening notes are not nearly as pleasant as the dry down-in any case, I did a "hug-in" event promoting gay rights, where I hugged hundreds of people, and I received plenty of compliments with this one. One lady asked me if I was wearing Egyptian musk--as far as I can tell, that's a good sign, since I love Egyptian musk. As far as oriental fragrances go, I would say any more sillage than this can be annoying, and this isn't too heavy, but it leaves a slight trail. I sold my bottle, since I got tired of it, I prefer a richer smell--like Accenti, one of the best scents ever.

I love this scent. It's very warm and inviting allthough I didn't expect it to be so spicy beacuse it opens up very gourmand and vanilla like. If you have ever eaten a pecanut white chocolate vanilla cookie you will know what I mean. But then later it becomes really spicy and sensual. But the vanilla always stays in the background no matter how the notes change. So it's sort of innocent yet naughty. I think this could be the original Allure (EDP's) younger and more innocent. But equally sexy sister.

This perfume intrigues me a lot and that is because it changes sooo much on my skin, that I don't know what to make of it...should I like or not??? Let me explain, to me, it starts with a smell of nail polish and banana peel ( weird, I know), a very strong, sharp, schreechy smell. After about 20 mins it settles down to something beautiful!!! It becomes soft, sensual, warm... I detect vanilla and amber in the drydown on my skin. Apart from the opening notes, which are too harsh for me, but they fade quickly anyway, I think it's a beautiful fragrance, worth the money, very long-lasting and seductive.

After trying Coco Mademoiselle which I kinda liked yet something put me off. It was this Chanel note (not note but something that is in all Chanel frags I tried, it varies, in worst case it's sour on me) that gone slightly sour and was making up inner conflict. So I tried Allure Sensuelle. I's quite similar to Coco Mademoiselle, but this note isn't sour. Opening is very interesting- blend of patchouli and sweetened citruses... Heart notes includes same patchouli + peach if you sniff your wrist not sticking your nose to it and if you do stick your nose to your wrist you get rewarded with spices from base- similar to indian incense sticks (or whatever they're called).
Longevity is super awesome (I think all Chanel has great staying power, I remember trying to wash off Coco Mademoiselle from my sleeve- quite something to do..) At last, I found Chanel for me :D

There is something special with many Chanel fragrances but this is my absolute favourite!!!

I had spent a few years looking for a new signature scent when I ended up at the Chanel counter. Allure Sensuelle became my choice as I found it fresh, sexy and intriguing. I love how it developes from the citrusy topnotes though the sweet powdery rosy heart to end up with a smokey amber vanilla base.

I started to use it a bit hesitant as it is quite loud the first hours, and I wondered if it really was "the one"? Today I love many fragrances, but Allure Sensuelle has a special place in my heart, and the marvellous drydown has become a part of my personality that I wouldn't want to go without.

Chanel Allure Sensuelle perfume + edp = signature - works everywhere
Chanel Coco for nights
Chanel N°19 edp + perfume for days
Chanel N°5 edt + perfume for special occasions.

I should correct myself about this one a bit. It can be easily used even in summer, at least on my skin, it becomes very fresh..no spices, no bitterness, even sweetness is pomegranate-ish sort of or fruity,, or else osmething Icant understand, teh very least my skin makes some sort of strange watery very fresh fruit out of it. I like it more on clothes, more authenticity. Thoug hmy husband when I have it on my skin, keeps on complementing me every other minute, which is so not 'him'.

Anyway, Allure Sensuelle and Allure(orginal) are the only two perfumes that I've came accross, that truly proves to me that each perfume reacts diffently on the skin, not only evaporates sooner or later. Before them I was convinced that all this thing about perfume smelling differently on another person, was just a fiction

This is a rather busy but well constructed scent. Like the original Allure (which I am not terribly fond of, and don't find may similarties to in AS), it boasts a multifaceted composition, here with equally balanced components of Woods, Amber, Fruit, Citrus, Floral, and Spice. This perfume has a musty, spicy plum note-think of an aged Syrah. It reminds me of old libraries-one of my favorite places to be! Definitely a fragrance for autumn and winter. Long-lasting, with an obvious sillage. Very grown-up; I would pair it with cashmere turtlenecks and plaid skirts (with black lace underneath!). If you like the notes, but find this simply too Victorian, then go to Estee Lauder's limited edition release Pleasures Delight.

Quiet like oriental afternoon, when peoples resorts to shadow from sun and contemplates sluggishly beauty of world. Deep, dark, sweetish, thick, but not heavy, with discreetly coquetting note musk. It's a very rich and decent scent, not the kind I'd immediately fall in love with in a heart beat. It's warmer than some other Chanel fragrances I know (say Chanel 19), but still somewhat cold and distant. An "I'm the boss" kind of scent.
What caught me by surprise was the unmistakable resemblance to Cartier's Delices on dry down. Although the two start entirely different, after 30 minutes they dry into a romantic, thick, very sexy, fruity scent. The Chanel is cooler, of course, but they feel very similar.

Allure Sensuelle seriuosly hooked me. Confusing and rich smell, and the one I really really like. I don't understand what notes are in it, but I've already addicted to it.It's warm, spicy, bitter, ellegant, sensuous, distinctive and I agree, seriuos. Seriuos like Coco or Allure, the playfull easier going scent is Chance from Chanel perfumes not others three. It is for me lighter, younger version of Coco, not Allure, but I must admit the name Allure Sensuelle is the right name for it.If I could I would buy two biggest bottles in advance..Not suitable on hot weather, but I could wear it everyday in all seasons and colder summer days, thanks God winter's comming

So masculine on me, but not bad. Luxury fragrance, I would like to love but...I'm sorry, I can't.

I put Allure Sensualle on in the morning and although I cannot smell it on myself, others can. I get compliments well into the evening which means it lasts all day and evening. I have had men stop and ask me what I am wearing so they can suggest it to their wives and girlfriends. It may be a little pricy but since you are using a little at a time, it lasts a rather long time

To all the Chanel lovers: I have to admit that in the last two months I got to like Allure Sensuelle more and more...something like that has never happened to me before. When I got a sample of it it was just too strong, but I guess I applied too much or something... Anyway, I wanted to find out what people find so amazing about Chanel fragrances, and so I kind of forced myself to try it a few times more. Then, I smelled the many different facets of the perfume which I really appreciate - that's what makes out a "good" perfume in my opinion.
I've still got some trouble with the head note which reminds me of Chanel No. 5 a lot, but the rest is really nice, I have to say. Also, the staying power is great.
I am now planning to buy the whole bottle.
To everybody who doesn't like this one initially: Put a little amount of perfume on your clothes or on your body, and wait a bit. Don't smell closely at the beginning, because the head note needs getting used to. But the aura that surrounds you is amazing.

I tried it the other day. I liked it but it was nothing special. If I'm going to pay that price for a fragrance, it better knock my socks off.

Well, this is Allure + Coco mademoiselle. I like Allure very much, and I also like classy Mademoiselle, but I don't like this mix.

Just a sidetrack to Marianne: If you dont appreciate Chanel, then dont try its range.

Chanel range is unique if you ask me.

Very sophisticted fragrance, beautifully done, very "Chanel". Spicy and heady, this is best applied with a light hand: too much and it would overwhelm! Definitely one to try if you enjoy fragrances like Opium.

Hi Sarah!

Very nice description indeed. Under this form is "Fragrantica styler" where users can classify the fragrance. It is a bit alternative classification but if enough people who use some fragrance vote we will have very good picture for each fragrance soon.

This is a very intricate fragrance! That does'nt mean its not good - its out of this world!! The only good thing (or maybe bad) is that it "really works with your skin". I remamber in all the fragrances that i've worn, this is the one people asked and liked most. I will recommend it for spring, romantic evenings.
