Allure Sensuelle has preserved its unique and playful fickleness with dazzling citrus, fruity and floral notes, and magnificent wooden accords. Resemblance is there, yet the fragrance has become more mysterious and shady. It has not become heavier, but unlike the dazzling brightness and joyful sunny character of the classic Allure, Allure Sensuelle is warmer, its powdery (iris) and oriental notes are accentuated. Its sweet notes (candied fruits) are not obtruding, but hidden in sensual spices and frankincense.

The top notes contain bergamot, mandarin and pink pepper. The heart is composed of jasmine, rose, iris, candied fruits and vetiver followed by the base notes of French vanilla, amber, patchouli and frankincense. The perfume was created in 2005 by Jacques Polge. Its face is charming actress Anna Mouglailis.

It is available as 35, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I love this EDP. Très sexy. Nice to wear in winter with cashmere. On me, it has fantastic sillage and longevity, even with just one spritz on the neck. I've received several compliments while wearing it, usually along the lines of, "something smells so good..." To which I reply, "me."

I'm a big fan of Chanel House, because all fragances are very exquisite and carry that classic vibe we only feel on rich people's smell, ahaha!
Sensualle is a beautiful interpretation of the original Allure, heavy, deep and fruity, boderline unisex. I've tried for the first time on a birth party at night, and all woman couldn't stop smelling my neck and asked what I was wearing, but they didn't find feminine at all. I think sandalwood, spices and vanilla give this sense.

Very chic and respectful sillage, present on the environment, strongly recommended for both man and woman.! =)

I was intrigued by the comparisons of this perfume with Coco Noir and, as I have both, decided to test: AS on my right wrist, CN on my left. Here's my two-penn'th to add to the brew.

First, the similarities. Patchouli is prominent in both; both are balsamic, although AS slightly more so. Both have rose peeking in and out during the dry-down.

Now for the differences. I find that CN is more fresh-spicy, more sandalwood and citrus, whereas AS is more resinous, more warm-spicy. At one point during the dry-down, AS takes on a caramely, almost gourmand note.

All-in-all, CN (perhaps ironically) is lighter and fresher. I can imagine wearing this in any season, day or night. For me, AS is darker, warmer (which suits its name), and I see this as a cold weather/night-time fragrance.

Both are wonderful, complex fragrances in my book, and distinctly Chanel, but different enough to my nose.

If you hate patchouli, this scent might make you change your mind or at least make you start to consider patchouli as a perfume ingredient.
The opening is a quite strong wave of citrus+patchouli, and not everybody would appreciate it, but just wait about 5 minutes to feel the magic!
The scent becomes sensual, not cheaply sexy, but mysterious sensual. The violet, the roses and a tiny drop of some spicy elixir slowly "come in", which makes this scent sophisticated powdery, just a bit woody and very feminine. The dry down on me turns into an expensive rosy, spicy +vanilla soap mixture, but this soap is gorgeous -warm, elegantly sweet and unforgettable.
It's a cold autumn morning. I imagine a lady over 30 sitting in a cafe, having a cup of great, high quality green tea with some vanilla accents. She's dressed in black, the make up is present but you can't tell. Light, but still so intellectual, elegant and wise. She knows what's life about, and she regrets nothing. And all she'll leave behind her is a trail of this wonderful, feminine perfume.

A friend bought this for me knowing I love Chanel fragrances back when it came out in like 2006. This fragrance is one of my favorites for winter especially. I wear it to holiday parties with my cashmere sweaters and pencil skirts or with my leather jackets and jeans. It makes no difference. This fragrance is soft and bold all in one. It is edgy in a way that is intoxicating to me the wearer and anyone who is within six feet of me. It is strong but it pleases the senses of everyone that I ever met anyway. I have heard people say "What is that perfume I smell?" "Do you smell that?" "Who is wearing that?" Then those who know it is me are always asking what I am wearing man and woman alike. I prefer this over Allure which also I have. This fragrance is a conversation starter. Not many are. Love love love!!!

This is the spirit of Allure with huge dose of sexy. If you like Allure at all or even if you think Allure is nice but it doesn't knock your socks off, try this fragrance.

This fragrance can be a challenge to come by in person since it is offered in limited doors at the high end department stores like Bloomingdale's but the universal reaction by Chanel employees is one of admiration for this perfume. I think that really says something.

The initial intense blast of fragrance may put you off but wait a few minutes and the magic starts to happen. The patchouli and spices settle in and you begin to notice that familiar scent of Allure bleed through. This is what Coco Noir is to Coco. In the cooler months you'll want to switch over to this one from Allure. Sillage & Longevity are well above average.

This is a fantastic fragrance if you are going out or you just want to stand out a bit. You can't help but feel sexy wearing this fragrance. You can just blow by the hundreds of women all wearing Coco Mademoiselle and think to yourself THIS is how it's done ladies. Just be prepared for many compliments to come your way when you wear Allure Sensuelle.

I revisited this beauty today as I had a couple of samples which I got with a purchase.
This is an evergreen amazing sensual fragrance.
I get mainly patchouly at the start but it soon mellows into a spicy sweetness becoming then rather powdery on me.
Very alluring and sophisticated very well crafted.
O n me this has great longevity and monster sillage.
Probably better suited for nightime wear for its sexiness or better for when you feel like being noticed.

I really wanted to like this and was looking forward to the spices, but unfortunately, I got no spices whatsoever, from top to bottom. I got a refreshing, bitter-ish bergamot in the beginning, then rose and jasmine, nicely blended, then a bit of sandalwood (very discreet) and vanilla. Mainly, the perfume was very soapy. I wouldn't have guessed it' s classified as an oriental.

Chanel has never really gotten my motor running,... also not with this one.
I think in this version the lavender really comes to the surface on my skin. It's not a very distinctive lavender scent that I get, but of course there's a whole bunch of notes in this composition. I also smell the fruits and flowers, spices and vanilla... but I can't help the fact that this scent reminds me of toilet freshener.
On my skin it's also rather soft and lacks longevity.
In my opinion it's a bit of an over rated fragrance.
To me feels like it's so popular only because it has Chanel written on it...

Once you're spellbound with any version of Allure, you won't be able to resist trying all the others... Sensuelle is the spiciest, the most oriental one of the family. My journey has started with EdT, then Sensuelle (both versions) and EdP and I love each of them so much, I can never be without either of them...

Had been a signature for some years. I still own a bottle and sometimes I do reach for it. But then I smell from the cap this overwhelming incense and this weird fruit that smells like a sort of watermelon, although there is no watermelon, can you imagine superchic Chanel putting a watermelon note in their fragrances??? Noooo. Well, but I smell that, and it disturbs me so much. i don't know why, but I have to grab all my courage to take a spritz now.. But then.. I have to wait 10 minutes or less, and it gets again the super sensual scent Ive been knowing so well. Still love it, perfect for cold seasons, potent sillage and lasts eternally on skin, would smell fantastic on a man either. This is the real coco noir for me

This is such a lovely perfume. I can mainly smell peach, vanilla and some rose. This perfume is really one of those cozy warm perfumes I usually like. I think it's very wearable, not particularly heavy and not very spicy - not like Coco (which I also love). Really unique and lovely. Kind of boring bottle though, I would love it they sold it in the same bottle as No 5, Coco and Coco M.

I have carried out a little experiment over the last hour; La Petit Robe Noire remastered on one hand, and Allure Sensuelle on the other. This is a way to illuminate certain aspects of a frangrance by way of contrast. It works excellently. It is now absolutely obvious how cute and berry-like LPRN is, and, more excitingly, something new has come through in Allure Sensuelle. Well 3 new things, none of which, being a novice ingredients discerner, I can name. I don't think I'm on the nail in my IDs, but here goes. I wore Allure Sensuelle to bits when I first got it because it was new and so didn't evoke anything from the past. That was a good thing at the time. I was never entirely satisfied with it; too much overripe fruit [apricots/peaches/nectarines/plums?] for me and not enough wood, or so I thought.
Now, in contrast with LPRN it is salty and there seems to be a hint of some creamy white flower which I am finding absolutely captivating and transcendent. And most excitingly is something I will call 'burnt oil on the engine head' or 'machine'. The harder I try to capture this, the more it's eluding me, but it's either metallic or epoxy resin-like. Either way, it's industrial. It's a memory of somewhere work-related I've been. It could even be linseed oil. Or pure gum turpentine. Maybe I have to return to the saltiness and forget the sea, but think more of some kind of conifer. aaargh it's escaped :D. Another time, I'll track it down perhaps. Maybe something from the dentist's. could be either epoxy or cloves. No. It's a wood. No. Leather? What's in boot polish? Turps. And back full circle to the mineral oil.
Please forgive the rambling. So much fun, this thought/sense/memory sleuthing.
I'm grateful both of these lovely perfumes have been made.

Had the opportunity to try this little beauty today. Unfortuantly I sprayed waaaayyy to much, was going by strength of chanel no19 and completely over did it. Sprayers beware! this can be a bit choking so go lightly on the spray.

What I got after initial intoxication, was a beautiful warm, spicy, cosy scent! On me this goes very warm and spicy almost immediatly. I never do get any bergomot. I could have sworn there was a big ol' dose of ginger in here, very prominent but I see it is not listed? Perhaps I am mistaken. I also get pepper, patchouli and a slight hint of warm sweetness to pull it all together. As I take a whiff I get the spices filling my nostrils, with the warmth and patchouli giving extra depth and lingering power. Just gorgeous!

I am glad to note this has not suffered the same fate as my now watery, weak Chanel no19! (no I have still not forgotten about it!)This is very strong, great lasting power and for €59 for 35ml here I reckon it's one that actually is worth the price tag!

My faith now somewhat restored in Chanel again, I so want this!! xxx

I can't express enough how much I love Allure EdT... Nothing will ever replace it, not even another Chanel. And I always felt hesitant to try the other versions fearing that they might not be as long-lasting. But I lately bought a mini pure perfume sample of Allure Sensuelle. How come a fragrance can smell this divine? So warm, mysterious and definitely "alluring". Not only sweet, nor only spicy but a wonderful compound with much less citrus. Can you fall in love twice? Oh yes, you can indeed!

First thing I smelled when I sprayed Allure Sensuelle was pepper, and I loved it. Now, I am not saying that this is the best Chanel perfume ever, everybody has a different taste, but to me it is. It is queen among the rest of Chanel family . I love it so much that i even bought a small 7.5 ml bottle of parfum :) Oh my God, I am so happy about that, i can't describe it!

on me, opens with bergamot and patchouli. sharp, metallic note i smell. then a little hint of peach takes its turn. sandalwood wisely used in it.
then it becomes powdery, soft, and elegance perfume. i detect a lot of rose in it which in a good form.

but this smell fits on my clothes more than on me. and be careful it lasts forever :) and i like the way it fulls my room. its a happy perfume for me :)

it is weird because i didnt like coco noir. i didnt understand why people like CN this much. so i'm a bit surprised that people find similarities between this 2 perfumes.

anyway, i like coco mademoiselle's seductive smell. not good or bad,my opinions is neutral for CM but interestingly everytime i smell on others(on the people next to me) i immediately think "sexy". but lots of people use it in here. it's everywhere.
for this aspect, allure sensuelle is more personal and original kind for me.

Allure Sensuelle reminds me more of a younger sister to Coco Noir or perhaps a lovely mix of the original Allure EDP and Coco Noir. The patchouli in Sensuelle is of a similar tone to Coco Noir, but with the lovely vanilla of Allure. The light spices bring Sensuelle to a different playing field, where Coco Noir carries patchouli, sandalwood, resins, and citrus and Allure drifts on its playful bed of vanilla and peach.

And yet, where most women might choose Sensuelle for their evening scent, I think it is entirely daytime appropriate. It isn't as dark or serious as Coco Noir, yet it's more mysterious than the vibrant and sparkling Allure.

If you already own Coco Noir (or anything of a similar vein), however, you could probably pass on Sensuelle. On me, Sensuelle is lighter than Coco Noir. If resins and bold citrus aren't for you, then you would likely prefer Sensuelle's softer nature.

Elegant, classic, and entirely sensual; a sophisticated choice for day or evening wear.

I forgot to add that the first time I wore Sensuelle out (to the grocery store) a woman complimented me, saying it smelled beautiful and clean.

I love it, I bought this earlier in the year when there were rumours it was being discontinued.
I searched for it everywhere, but was sold out in the UK. I finally picked up my bottle in the airport and it was the last one. I asked the Chanel sales assistant but she wasn't aware that it was being discontinued but I often find sales assistants are the last to know these things!!

I was torn between buying this or Coco Noir but I'm so pleased I choose this. I've had Allure before which I like but this has an extra edge. Its defiantly Sensuelle, I feel great when wearing this and can't stop smelling myself.

Yes like some people have said it is strong. But if you don't spray too much and wait for the dry down its a great perfume to wear and I always receive compliments.

Few seconds after spraying it, I sighed 'Oh no! What a killer fragrance!'. It seemed to be almost unbearable to my nose. Deep, overwhelming, strongly balsamic. However, before I returned home, wasting a lot of time in some ridiculous traffic jam at mall's parking 'who gave such idiots a driving license?!', I felt that this scent changed, mixing nicely with my body smell. It became quite moderate, and I must say that now I even like it! (even if I can still detect that deep balsamic note...)
After some time, spices are quite recognizable, and fragrance is moderate orient one, so if you like deep balsamic scents, this one could be for you.
I think I can wear this one, just would have to use it at least half an hour before leaving home, in order not to kill everyone with such powerful top notes.

Allure Sensuelle EDP is a smoothly blended fragrance, Chanel style, and for me the floral and fruity notes sink into the mellow diffusive sweetness of the base. I can sense they are there, but can't pick them out separately.

So: patchouli, vanilla, lavender and woody notes are the main ones I identify. The cool herbal floralcy of lavender feels a mite harsh at the beginning, but soon softens and warms up and gives a lovely aromatic character to the patch and vanilla, especially. I don't think it's extremely spicy, not in terms of readily separable, specific spices, anyway, but it does have a creamy nutmeg'y warmth like one of those delicious hot concoctions one drinks around the winter holidays. This is a very cuddly and tactile scent — not only outwardly sensual, but privately sensuous.

To me, Coco Mademoiselle, Coco Noir, Allure EDP and Allure Sensuelle feel like variations over a theme, and Allure Sensuelle is the one I find least strident and easiest to wear. It might even be full bottle worthy, but realistically, this is fairly potent stuff and my sample has lasted me a good while. The 35ml bottle could probably last me decades (not that I'd mind!).

I will probably be forever debating with myself whether it is “me” or not “me” but I like it a lot and I am close to falling in love now, so I will use it anyway.

I am not really a fan of Chanel, and I quite strongly dislike most of Chanels I have tried, so this is my first good impression from the house. Naturally, I was strongly prejudiced about anything from Chanel. Image of a woman who wears anything from the house in my head was (and is) definitely not me. But I tested Allure Sensuelle once and liked it imediatelly, I was impressed and couldn’t forget it. I got then a large sample and enjoy it every time I use.

The smell is very rich, elegant and comforting. Like many of Chanels, it smells elegance and luxury too. It is sophisticated and feminine, not in a girly but in a mature way. It last very long on me and forever on clothes. Sillage is much more powerful that I would like it to be, but you should know that I prefer scents close to my skin. This is very much an evening scent, I would say, but can be used to work, if applied very lightly. i still dislike that it is too recognizable and too similar to other Chanels.

The scent is so well blended, that for me it is very difficult to smell separate notes. Not that I am very curious this time, since I adore the mix itself. The opening is almost fruity to my inexperienced nose, then there are some flowers and fruits, then flowers and sandalwood. There is a lot more here, but everything very well blended. This is a very warm scent, and while I normally dislike anything sweet, I cannot complain here, because sweetness is so well balanced with spices and wood.

It makes me feel safe and comforted and just a bit happier than I’d be without it. It makes me feel more elegant and lets me see some more magic in every day. it helps me to feel a "better" version of myself, and while it may not be exactly "me", sometimes it feels good.

If anyone loves this perfume but can't afford it - try Queen Of The Night: Black Opium perfume oil (always on amazon or ebay for a few bucks).

Not long ago, I resigned myself to the fact that I will never be able to afford to own a big/full bottle of Coromandel (part of the Les Exclusifs range from Chanel). I still have my 3-4ml decant, but it's obviously for special occasions only as it would be a crime to waste it.

Since that "woe is me" moment - I've been looking for other perfumes that remind me of Coromandel. Don't get me wrong, NOTHING will match it - and Allure Sensuelle only has a few notes in common with it, but so far Sensuelle is the closest I've come.

As some of you know, I am crazy about Patchouli! Allure Sensuelle, like Coromandel, handles the Patchouli absolutely beautifully - perfectly. Aside from that gorgeous note...the spices, pepper and Vetiver set a delicate Lavender note off, which makes the Patchouli quite soft once it's dried down. The florals are really only in the background in this perfume (on me that is) - they're delicate but still noticeable in a nice, NON cloying way.

Allure is a perfume I've never really understood the buzz about to be honest. It's nice enough, but in no way does it stand out to me at all (not when I've had it on and not when I've smelled it on a number of others either).

Allure Sensuelle is a different story though. It is sophisticated, feminine yet versatile enough for a man to be able to easily wear it, complex and it's one of those fragrances that after some time become like a second skin.

I would wear this all year round - It's working in the warmer weather beautifully and I'm certain it would work just as well, if not better, in the cooler months.

Scents like this and Coromandel are making me fall in love with this house all over again. Sillage, longevity, projection...well, I don't even need to say anything. It's Chanel :)

Allure sensuelle is more than
just being fresh, woody, bright spicy,
timeless floral, fruity, and oriental.
(as written at the back of my tester bottle),

To me, the fragrance is bold

Its longevity is powerful, so does its silage.

Allure Sensuelle settled into a warm and spicy vanilla on my skin, the peach top note also lingered- unexpectedly- in a general sweet fruitiness.
Whilst the scent wasn't immediately obvious to anyone around me I was aware of it for the rest of the day, though its staying power isn't quite as long as Chance Tendre.
A fragrance I would love to buy and wear if it weren't that I favour Beige and Gardenia for my sweeter fragrances. It will smell delicious on my pillows and scarves though!

Allure Sensuelle is soft but substantial as a smell, a nice mix of sweet fruits, woods and flowers very complex and refined, not exactly sexy (more "inviting" I'd say) and very well done.
Its main problem is that it is not adaptable enough, it is best you keep a small bottle at home for your special moments, it feels luxurious and intimate.
Still, with no 5, coco and coco mademoiselle on the market "Allure Sensuelle" looks more like a splendid own goal by Chanel.

Truly, sweet, but fresh and flowery.. just right balance of all the ingredients here! It is elegant and sophisticated and so worth the price! I love and would always wear it. Best in Autumn and Winter.

Anytime. Long-lasting and never a drag or boring.

It is powdery and flowery mixed with spice, but not overpowering vanilla. So well-mixed. I really love this one too.

Chanel may be pricier than many, but their fragrances are so worth it all.

I am a person who is all for crossing the fragrance barriers and wearing scents during seasons that are against the popular vote. However, with Chanel Allure Sensuelle I have to say this is one I can ONLY pull off during those cold fall/winter months. Here we are early July and I sprayed a bit on the back of my hand because I wanted to smell it again and whoa buddy...

This scents starts out extremely strong. I am new to perfumes so I am not the best at detecting the actual notes but I know for sure I get a strong patchouli. This is all I can smell when first sprayed. Fast forward about 5-10 mins and I then can start to pick up on the fruitier notes. Give it another 15 mins or so and I start to fall in love and I am reminded as to why I decided to buy it. Here is when I can smell more of like a sweet, creamy, vanilla spice. I am in my 20s and find this to be one of my more sophisticated perfumes. There is something really classy yet dark and of course "alluring" about it. I too pick up on the powdery iris, which is one of my favorite notes. However, I do not think the perfume goes too powdery with only 1-2 spray. This is one of those scents that I fall in love with more as it melts in with my skin. I am a lover of vanilla so I am obsessed with the spicy, woody, vanilla dry down. This is too where I feel the scent goes almost "incensey" on me.

When I wear this, 1 spray is more than enough for me to enjoy it. I'd personally be afraid for my life if I went over 2 sprays.A rule of thumb for me with this one is 1 spray if I wear it during the day but I'll chance 2 at night if I am not in a closed off space (LOL) With this scent, you will be smelled! I liked how one reviewer mentioned that you have to be careful with how much of this you wear because you'll run the risk of it wearing you if you use too much! I get close to 12 hours with this one with just one spray.

I do see how many people are turned off to this fragrance but don't let the first spray turn you off. Give it time to warm on you. I am in love with it as a special occasion, sophisticated, sexy scent. I find myself not being able to stop smelling it as I am typing up this review. It too has a very "come hither" appeal.

*EDIT*
I actually ended up gifting this one to my mother. Aside from the couple times I tested this one, it is full. Although absolutely beautiful, I think this one is still a bit too mature for me personally and the more I smell it the more I can imagine my mother (fyi 51 yrs young) wearing it. I know she is going to adore it as I am sure I will when I feel it is more appropriate for me :)

Quote from the Swedish Girl - { same "dirty metal, sharp as hell citrus and Elnette hair spray" - stench as all the other Allure`s.
Same same. }

Hmm interesting. The dirty metal you detected is a cold, white, crystalline smell from a white amber patchouli accord . In conjunction with the sharp, bright, zesty citruses and soft sweet powdery elements of vanilla/iris/jasmine it smells "candied". It's amazing. A wonderful contrast that really smells like candied lemon and mandarin peels.

I am happy to report where I live on the west coast of Canada, it is easy to procure this fragrance. I've been told it is popular :) this makes me less anxious with rumors that it is no longer produced. I just wish they would stop showing me the "Best selling" chance flankers, they all smell like air freshener! Yuck.

Yes I agree it is a cross between the original allure and coco, and bears some relation with the first chance!

I still get undercurrents of the original but this is still its own scent. A bit too many things going on in it for me. It didn't sit in harmony on my skin. It was like a bunch of random instruments playing at will rather than one ensemble tickling my senses with scented melodies, harmonious base support and interesting counterpoint nuances adding to the composition. It's a bit of a few snippets from allure and Coco Mademoiselle but they don't play as nicely as one would hope. Not on me at least.

Nothing like the original (which I don't care for at all), Sensuelle is earthy/dirty/sexy and sophisticated at the same time. Definitely an evening scent...it practically growls out of the bottle. Apply sparingly; the sillage is huge. Spray behind the knees when wearing a skirt...the scent will waft pleasantly around you...

About two years ago I had this sudden, unexplainable craving for all things Chanel. I sped off to a perfumery that stocked Chanel and after sniffing what probably constituted their entire stock of cards, all drenched in different formulations and categories of Chanel, I was clueless as to which one to actually buy. To her credit the SA couldn't have been nicer, which only made things worse. To me the decision was mind-boggling, every new Chanel I smelled was simply more beautiful than the previous. Mortified, my head hanging in shame, I stuffed the fat wad of cards in my bag and said I would be back.

I very badly wanted to start off my Chanel collection. I went home and took huge sniffs off the cards, only stopping when I began hyperventilating from excess oxygen. I wasn't any wiser.

The day after, the notes emanating from the cards was much less defined, except for one particular yellow stained specimen. A strident scent, albeit an elegant and expensive one, strode victoriously towards my nose. Hands shaking with excitement, I zig-zagged/drove to the perfumery once more. I had found a winner! And I had no idea what its name was.

Luckily, the long-suffering SA immediately identified my offering (I nearly put her eye out when fanning the card for her to get a whiff of the perfume)as Allure Sensuelle, and I went home happy, gaurding my bottle like an overprotective parent. To date, this perfume gives my confidence a boost at the time of wear, and for this I am so grateful.

Thus started my long voyage within the realm of Chanel. There have been ups and downs, but given the opportunity I wouldn't change a thing.

This is an intriguing and intricately beautiful fragrance. A shape-shifter with many personalities, but all of them thoroughly feminine and worthy of attention. The bergamot, mandarin orange and peach opening is downright flirtatious and a bit edgy. After 20 minutes the rose and patchouli come in to soften and sensualize the entire mood. I don't detect the pink pepper, but Chanel fragrances are so well blended that it's difficult to pick up on any one note. For me, the true star is the dry down. Sandalwood, labdanum, and vanilla. This stage seems to last and last on my skin (11 hours or more)...I'm so happy to finally have Allure Sensuelle in my collection. One of my favorite Chanel fragrances!

I love how classy AND a bit edgy it is; it is a beautiful combination.

Dirtiness of patchouli, masculinity of vetiver, invigorating spices, feminine and tender rose, and sweet mellow peach. It works!

Opens a bit sharply (which I happen to like in this case), lives for many hours like a bright spicy vanilla-rose on your skin, changes a lot, shows all its sides, all pretty - floral, earthy, sweet, tart, and finally dries down to the most sexy, calm warmness.

It smells like quality and luxury. My favorite Chanel!

This, by far, is one my favorite Chanel scents (coming in second only to No 5, my ultimate favorite). This is a power bomb for me, literally. One spray of this in the morning and I can still smell it on my skin 12 hours later and if I spray it on my clothes – days. The patchouli is very strong on me from start to finish quite overshadowing the fruits and flowers in the mix. I do get a hint of peach, bergamot, and rose but they are quite subtle. I end up with a rich combination of patch, labdanum, vetiver, frankincense, and pepper; a very earthy spicy smell, which is incredibly sexy. Love it.

I felt like crying when I learnt this was discontinued. This was a scent like no other.

This perfume has the most alluring, intoxicating smell of any perfume that I have ever smelt. The notes are blended seamlessly so that they all work in harmony without any particular note dominating.

There are many expensive fragrances out there, in terms of price point, but few that "smell expensive". This was one of the few scents that fell under the latter category.

It seems that anything that smells unique is discontinued these days to make way for generic, non-offensive, fruity or floral scents.

EDIT: Just checked with Chanel via email and they confirmed this has not been discontinued. Hooray!

More mature than Chance, Coco Mademoiselle, or Coco Noir, without being "old". I did not like it the first time I tried it, but trying it again a year later has led me to wanting a bottle. The opening is a bit rough and the patchouli is dirty, but as it dries down it just gets better and better. Allure Sensuelle edp is grown up without being old, sensual but still a lady.

I smelled a sample of this in Nylon magazine several years ago and had to get a bottle. I only ended up using it a few times because like most Chanel perfumes, it is lovely, but just way overstated and suffocating (even with just one dab).

I would classify this as a feminine (in a womanly way not a girly way), sexy, refined patchouli suitable for a fancy night out, but definitely not daily wear.

Dirty, sexy, luxurious...Perfection!

This is gorgeous, like the notes suggest this is very heavy on the patchouli which gives the scent its dirty depth. A sillage monster that's super long lasting, and clings for days to any fabric it comes in contact with.
You can't be trigger happy with this perfume, one spray shared around is adequate so the price value works out fine with me.
It's hard to believe it's discontinued, sacrilege!

Gorgeous and classy, a quality perfume that smells like lush scented oil on my skin. The opening is fresh with citrus and earthy with the patchouli, the development into the middle notes is bridged with a nice sweet peachscent. The heart of the perfume is a pink peppered, soft powdery rose thanks to the iris. But still sweet thanks to the peach, the peach will linger on all the way to the basenotes with the smell of luxurious woods and spices. You end up wanting to spray more and more of this heavenly perfume, but you will have to restrain yourself because it has enormous sillage! Very feminine perfume and lush.

I was in a bad mood the last couple of days and i decided to put on this wonderful perfume today after i had a shower. I applied Allure sensuelle on my neck, wrist and a bit on my hair.
Instantly (and I was very angry then, lol) i detected citrus notes, bergamot and mandarin along with intense woody notes, the patchouli, sandalwood and probably the vetiver as well. As much as it was woody it was even more spicy but in a very sweet kinda quiet way "warm", yes.
And weird enough i smelt leather on my skin but i thought it was my imagination hehe.
Now, to MY impression; at the first 10 minutes it was citrus.y, a bit spicy, woody and very smoky, i was smiling by then, it's like a sweet delicate caress. I relaxed so i can indulge and enjoy my perfume. And it seemed to form a leather base on my wrist. After another 10 minutes, there was a hint of citrus, intense spice notes and the smokiness faded away while the woody notes remained. It stayed like that for 10 minutes where a powdery note was subtle.y clinging to my skin (the iris i'm guessing). by the 40 minute mark it was an explosion of roses! Very soft, delicate and lovely. I didn't really get any jasmine or maybe i was just overwhelmed by the roses that i missed jasmine. The leather note is still on my wrist so i know it's not just me.
After 3 hours and when it settled down it grew more spicy and less rose like, woody and surprisingly fresh and i started smelling lavender, i love lavender so it felt really good. Leather is still there.
Now, after i checked out the notes, the only thing that resembles leather is that labdanum.
I didn't get any vanilla at all, maybe it's what gives it a somewhat sweet feel but it's not showing on my skin at all.

So, Allure sensuelle really cheered me up and made me way less tense than i was the last couple of days, it's amazing how a perfume like that could make you feel so damn good hehe.
It's a very warm scent, very calming, relaxing and well....sensuelle hehe. It is romantic as someone mentioned down there.
When I applied it, it filled my entire room and when i was walking around the house i felt i was in a huge bubble filled with allure, the sillage is great it literally left a trail wherever i went. The longevity is excellent.

I think this wonderful perfume would work all the seasons except for summer. It would be a wonderful night perfume, i think it's more wearable than some would expect. I actually loved it as a day time perfume when i just want to relax and lay back.
It kinda reminded me of Chanel#5 but i like allure sensuelle way more (in my opinion).
I absolutely love it not just "like" it.

I didn't expect this. Better than Allure, this is bright, charming, romantic, young but not innocent. The roses made my knees buckle. Warm, creamy, balanced, with a clean, bright opening. On me, more mandarin orange than peach, and no sour citrus note at all. A delectable, juicy orange. Calm, reflective florals, especially very soothing are lavender and lilac. Such a nice, well behaved jasmine.

The patchouli is right there from the opening to the finish, fair warning to the patchouli averse, but it is interesting to experience how differently the patchouli behaves paired with florals versus vanilla and sandalwood in the powdery finish. Warm, enveloping, with good projection and silage. My spouse walks in the door and says, what smells so good? Why honey that would be me!

Ironically, I was just cleaning out my "want" shelves, and took Chanel Allure Sensuelle OFF my want list, moving it to Test. This wasn't even on my top three to get for the year, this was really in my peripheral vision, not in my view at all, and now I am seriously smitten. Don't know how I ever got along without it.

I love the sultry smoky dry down, the deep woody powdery vibe. And a great vanilla, I am very impressed by the subtle vanilla, balanced by the sandalwood, and sweetened by the complex roses. Reminds me of Coco Noir, but more patchouli (yeah), and the incense makes Allure Sensuelle more Noir than Coco Noir. Highly recommended for patchouli lovers, rose aficionados and fearless perfumistas.

This is a bit citrusy a bit spicey and very sweet, yet still has an effervescent quqality. It reminds me of Chanel Allure original as wel as No5 Premier (with added sugar, spice and weight)

I've never smelled Rue Cambon from the Exclusives line, but I imagine it to smell something similar to this, minus the sugar, which would be far more fitting to my taste

I've found the longevity disapointing. Sillage is very nice.

I really enjoy wearing Allure Sensuelle, much more than I enjoy wearing her sister Allure. It's Chanel's closet cocotte: sophisticated on the outside (well blended, spicy) but a bit dirty on the inside (earthy, strong) Dirty, but not enough to frighten the horses. More Belle de Jour than street walker! You need a strong personality to wear this, or it will wear you.

This is Chance's sexier, spicier big sister. I get Chance's citrus and cleaned-patchouli top notes, but someone took Chance and poured bourbon-vanilla extract in the bottle. The vanilla and spice adds extra oomph to the pink pepper, and the base is more powdery, with much stronger sandalwood and a hint of amber in the drydown.
This definitely has florals somewhere in here, but like with the other Chanels the flowers are so well-blended with the other elements that I can't pick them out (which for me is great). This is Chance after she's grown up and is moving beyond teenage flirtation to womanly seduction, but since this is Chanel after all, it's done with plenty of class and mature restraint while still remaining youthful. Love, love, love this one!

PS - while I have never gotten any compliments for this perfume, I have noticed people, men and women alike, are nicer to me when I wear it. I was going out to a Christmas cocktail party one night, wearing this perfume naturally, and when about to lock the front door behind me my (male) housemate opened it and offered to lock it for me. He is usually pretty standoffish with me, so this was different. He then got a little bit closer to me when he asked if I had seen a package waiting for him on the porch. No compliment on the perfume, but the change in his demeanor as I was leaving was... an interesting positive change (even if I'd never date him in a thousand years!).

I have admired this fragrance for the longest time; the sweetest temptation on display at Chanel, all the while agonizing over which concentration/size to buy.

Don't be fooled, the edp and edt versions are very different to my nose!

The Sensuelle edp is like a fine sparkling wine compared to the original Allure. I never bothered trying Allure on skin, the tester absolutely paled in comparison--flat, synthetic, vaguely orange???

Sensuelle Edp is the most potent, the sweetest, the spiciest, the most gourmand masterpiece from Chanel. It is classy, warm, sensual, wearable on most occasions as it is not considered a true oriental. The frag must be made with quality ingredients because the projection and sillage are remarkable. A beautifully warm, bright scent from a meagre little paper tester permeated and emerged from my small shopping bag for days on end. I couldn't help but bury my nose in there for a little 'fix' now and then! Yes, this juice is potent indeed. It is very loud at first, an intense sweetness, notes everywhere vying for attention. The one note that makes the frag a tad overbearing and may nauseate is the patchouli. If you bear with it I am sure when given the chance to develop on skin, everything settles into that gorgeous scent. I also noticed that the edp is very similar to Coco parfum. It's fair to say it is a cross between the original Allure and Coco

Today I finally bought Senuelle in edt because my pocket feels kind of empty these days. Please do not think the edt is inferior to the edp. At first spritz it may seem stronger than the edp but it gets softer after that, just a little bit more sheer and obviously does not stay as long on skin. This version is more true to the original, except more gourmand and powdery; noticeably less spicy and a little bit more subdued in the sweetness and florals compared to the edp. I really enjoy the fact that the woodsy vanillic base is very prominent as it develops on my skin. I never knew I could adore REAL bourbon vanilla In a fragrance so much! It is so so cozy and comforting. The kind do feeling I get when I wear cashmere mist.

The next time around when I have more money in my pocket I would definitely invest in the edp in the largest bottle! To me Sensuelle is my answer to other "loud" exotic orientals. I have been trying very hard to avoid sandalwood so I wouldn't go for Opium by Ysl for example. People who like Dior Poison will probably like this scent. I really want to wear Black Orchid but it does not always work on me... Sensuelle is every bit as potent as Black Orchid I would say.

Let me be clear: Ford obviously copied the structure of ae to death. The progression of both perfumes are nearly identical. black orchid takes everything to the extreme: heavy, obnoxiously loud, diva-esque, cloying whereas ae is always a lady, classy, refined, and knows restraint. Ae it's all about inner confidence and black orchid is showy and insecure.

remember, ae came first into the world!

There is something I like about this one and something I don't. The ingredient quality is high, it seems, but I think it may be a bit too sweet for me (the "candied fruits" note, presumably). I prefer something like Genie in a Bottle instead, though of course it's not the exact same idea, that one being far less floral (and so I find it more "masculine"). It's very strong (I've only tried the EdP) so I suggest one spray for your first wearing. It's almost like this one is trying too hard to please everyone and only succeeds in coming across as being composed by a committee of non-perfumers!

I thought I would like this based on the patchouli, but I really can't stand it- including any of the Allure flankers. I dislike the original as well as this one...I really wished I liked it; this perfume seems so exotic. I don't know if it's that honeysuckle + vanilla + patchouli combo? I think I've realized I only like patchouli in fragrances if it has enough citrus to balance it out. The peach and bergamot lend too much powderiness to the scent.

my boyfriend give this to me few years at 2010, the only fragrance that he gave me at that time. I was initially dislike it (and its patchouli notes, which I hate at that time)

one day, he have to leave me for thousand miles because of his work, and I decide to give Allure Sensuelle a try because I miss him so much at that time. slowly, my opinion on Allure Sensuelle begin to change. I slowly like this, and like magic, Sensuelle start to 'like' me. I don't feel nauseous or headache. I feel something deeply romantic through it's deep patchouli-ridden scent

Allure Sensuelle have a great sillage and longevity, my mother sometimes said "He's okay whenever she smells this, because she knows when I'm wearing this, and why, of course" it would last whole day in colder climate

At first I was very confused with this, it's so sharp and strong and I couldn't pick any notes. After a while I started to really understand and love it. Anyhow even edt felt way too strong for me - the sharpness stayed with me and I was even afraid of getting a headache. The opening is too strong and I couldn't apply it light enough not to feel a little sick. But still it was so great and unusual, my idea of perfect perfume. Finally I figured out how to apply it light enough, just spraying it onto air and walking through. Applied that way it isn't sharp at all but the opening has still this great, unique edge. Then it dries into warm, sexy and sophisticated scent. Absolutely love it! It's my special occasion perfume, sexy, dark and powerful.

So much for the trial and error, I finally find out the one ingredient I definately detest. Patchouli. So this one is not for me. I believe the preference here has everything to do with your personal past and the memory mingled with smell. This one smells so much like the mosquito repellent that prevails in those hot and mosquito teeming nights in the countryside when I was young. By the way, I am talking about the EDT.

This is definitely unisex, and one of those fragrances i enjoy better in EDT rather than EDP. The EDP on the bottle smells like the drydown of the EDT, but it is too fruity for me. The EDT is more masculine, more sensual and more bittersweet vanilla. I do get in the EDT like a louder Daim Blond by Serge Lutens, at a better price with no loss in quality. I get apricot, suede, vanilla, iris, almondy heliotrope. And while men can wear 1 Million, Allure Sensuelle can be for them. As for Chanel, the EDT is always more true to the extrait than the EDP: see Chanel No. 5. Don't be fooled by the concentration: I bet it is comparable, just the notes are tweaked. I'm not sure why I am disappointed by the EDP: I get a hairspray note out of it that is missing in the EDT. It is also very linked to the original Allure EDT.Gorgeous and sensual!

It would be hard to improve on the original Allure which is IMO the most distinguished clean honeysuckle perfume ever.

I don't know if "improve" is the right word here, because Allure Sensuelle unleashes a salvo of new heavy sultry killer notes and it's a bit complicated. My nose gets confused as to whats going on. The deep patchouli earths and the lighter spices pack in nearly too much. I can see that it's sexier of course. But the original is so captivatingly simple,so Chanel.

I would keep this one for a very intense evening.
Whereas I'd wear Allure any time.

I love this perfume (the EDP). It has a special place in my heart, because believe it or not, I wore it on my wedding day. I wanted something elegant and sexy at the same time, and I didnt want to have keep on spraying perfume on. I layered it over the body lotion, and sprayed it on myself before wearing my wedding dress. My husband loved it, and so did everyone else! I kept getting compliments, and not only on that day. I wore it for my honeymoon as well, and many people, both men and women, said I "smelled beautiful". I only wear it now for special occasions, and it so lovely I cannot bear to be without it! This is worth the money, I will invest in another bottle when mine is gone. Classy, elegant, and will definitely make people remember you. Just remember to restrain yourself and don't douse yourself with it.. otherwise, you will be a patchouli mess. Beware, you have been warned!

I bought this back in 2006 and have hardly ever worn it. People always remark on it whenever I do wear it but somehow it never felt like "me" to the extent that I almost gave it away. So glad I didn't! I wore it out recently and I enjoyed it so much that I've decided to wear it much more regularly from now on.

As others have said, it's the top notes that are offputting and also it is very strong. Like Coco, a small amount is a thing of beauty, but an overdose - quelle horreur! I know people who claim to hate Coco who have asked me what the lovely smell is when I've worn it - I think it's the same with this one and probably Coco Madmoiselle too. You don't need to spray Chanel perfumes with the same gusto as other fragrances, not unless you want to gas everyone anyway.

Its amazing to see how a perfume can make people keep wondering who is the one who left a sultry yet alluring scent when you passed them. I got lots of compliment when I wore this perfume, and they keep asking what do you wear? I proudly anoounce I'm wearing Chanel Allure Sensuelle. Some of them dont even beleive its Chanel. For them, Chanel smell too strong and strange. I understand, most Chanel have 'zing' and not everyone loves it. Actually, Chanel perfume is a picker. The perfume will choose the right person to wear them. I'm lucky to be one of 'em. In fact, most Chanel perfume suit me right and I got compliment when I wear them. I rarely happen to other brand. I guess I have the right chemistry to make Chanel smell good on me. What a lovely... this perfume bring the name to real life. Allure, sensual personality, very seducing indeed without being slut. If we're still in year 1850, this might be the perfume for royal family only. Got what I mean? It really worth the price I paid for. I choose the perfume, it choose me back and works with my body chemistry. By the way, my review above is based on my experience wearing Allure Sensuelle Parfum.
Are you choosen too? Give yourself a try and find it out.

I have worn this perfume a few times, but never felt pushed to review it until today.
I sprayed it on this morning and felt it was very biting and alcohol-infused, so I wondered if my bottle was going bad. After an hour or so, I noticed it had toned down, but still felt like the notes were jumbled and sharp. I was acutely aware of the sillage all morning and was actually kind of disturbed by it, feeling it was probably too much for the office. I couldn't pinpoint any one note in particular, it just felt busy, hectic and overwhelming and I figured I probably wouldn't be wearing it again.
At lunchtime, I started noticing a nice fragrance in the restaurant, and I wondered who was wearing it. After a while, I realized it was me! I sniffed the spots where I had sprayed Sensuelle and I was amazed at how delicious, warm and soft it had become! I'm not even sure when it started, but it was definitey after the first hour. I'm still not able to recognize any one note except a definite patchouli scent, which I love.
As I said, I have worn this perfume before and never noticed such a change in its composition in the past, but I have had a baby since the last time I wore it, so maybe that changed my chemistry. At any rate, I now absolutely LOVE it.
Allure Sensuelle-strong, powerful, sexy and soft all at the same time. Definitely worth a try, one of my newly rediscovered favorites.

A Chanel perfume. Sandalwood, iris, vanilla and patchouli notes. Expectations were high. It appears skin chemistry does make or break this fragrance. There wasn't much development on my skin, just stayed as it sprayed - which is a lovely warm floral initially but after 8 hours it was like a guest who'd outstayed their welcome. If only the spicyness had kicked in it would have made this perfume more interesting. Will try this again in the Spring/Summer, but for now the search for my Chanel fragrance goes on...

I am a regular user of AS EDT. I have just received 35ml of EDP and I am dissapointed by its lasting power. It stays close to my skin and after 3 hours it s gone. Surprisingly, EDT has better lasting power on my skin.

I forgot to mention that AS body lotion is amazing. Its aroma is very persistent and long lasting. My clothes are impregnated by it :)

Wow. I never tried this perfume before, because I always bought Coco Mademoiselle, but I am so charmed by this beauty. I don't really understand why this one is not such a bestseller as Coco or Chance or nr. 5. This one is amazing. I always think Chanel does a great job in their perfumes.

It starts sexy and warm and the drydown is even better. Lovely !!

Here's the thing about Eau Sensuelle:
If compared to the regular EDT, then it's somewhat better. But when smelled next to the EDP, we're talking about a perfect KO. The EDP wins hands-down, IMO.
There's that molecule again, in Eau Sensuelle, that "dark" resin-woody, "mysterious"-esque impression the company wanted to create. And my skin doesn't like it.
Eau Sensuelle, compared with the EDP, is flat, synthetic, un-interesting. It doesn't meld, it's not warm or gives itself to your chemistry.
It's a young woman trying to be classy, while the EDP is the real deal, and doesn't need some trendy molecule to blow you away. She's it. Eau Sensuelle is not.

This perfume should come with a warning label. Allure Sensuelle is extremely sexy, do NOT wear it if you don't want to attract unwanted attention. But if you wish to cast a spell over your intentional prey, this perfume will do half of the job for you. Do not use it all the time, you could wear out its potency, instead save it for the times when you move in for the kill. Allure Sensuelle is not a perfume, it's a weapon. Use with caution. You have been warned.

From the bunch of the three Chanel favorites of mine (Coco Mademoiselle, Allure EDP and Allure Sensuelle) Allure Sensuelle does not happen to be the top one!
Yet it is the one I receive literally tons of compliments; today I got seven!
Sensuelle is a powerful oriental juice, with sophisticated and warm woodsy base which is the moment well worth waiting for :-)
The opening is a floral fruity spicy combo, the heart is purely floral and the dry down is a definite Oscar winner; spices, sandalwood, vetiver and patchouli.
Sensuelle is deep, rich, classy and goes really strong.
The three sprays applied at 7;00am lasted on me until well after lunch.
My scarves and cardigans smell for days!
Sensuelle will make a perfect signature fragrance for a very confident and elegant lady.
Sensuelle is so far my best blind buy.
Masterpiece.

Discontinued??? No, please, say it isn't so! I fell in love with this scent from a wee small sample vial - and I had to have at least one bottle of it. I eventually splurged (for me) on a slightly used bottle of EDP on Ebay. I sounds as though I must stock up now so that I will always have this for when I want to fall in love over and over again with this absolutely gorgeous scent! This scent caused me to seek out everything that Jacques Polge had created--and that thankfully led me to another love - Diva by Ungaro! BRAVO! BRAVO!! BRAVISSIMO!!!!

My husband purchased the original Allure for me when we first started dating, which I enjoyed as it is nice but a tad too floral to make it an absolute fav of mine. Then he came home a year later with Sensuelle. I'll admit (reluctantly) that the first whiff didn't impress me much . . . which appears to be the consensus amongst those of us who ADORE this fragrance. The top notes are a bit too sharp in their floral delivery, and if they lasted much longer than their short-lived 20-30 minutes, they'd probably give me a headache.

Luckily for me I waited it out & discovered a gentle rose / jasmine blend that introduces a hint of soft powdery iris & lavendar. Then I became enveloped in an intimate, complex blend of smoky amber and a lingering, dusty vanilla that isn't too sticky sweet or overpowering. SEXY as ALL GET-OUT!!!

Quite honestly, I could not pull my nose away from my wrist - - it's addicting!! I made this my signature frgrance and used to wear it both night and day. I could even wear it to work as it's luscious without being too haughty. My husband absolutely LOVES it on me, not to mention countless men (AND women!!) who have stopped me everywhere I go, asking "what is that wonderful scent you're wearing?". Only wish it lasted a bit longer on me.

It definitely isn't for the faint of heart or the shy, innocent young girl. This is a fragrance for a woman comfortable in her own skin who revels in a scent that suggests subdued, seductive intrigue.

It is a wonderful advance for Chanel from Coco, to Madmoiselle, to Allure, to Sensuelle. I'm broken-hearted, though, that it has been discontinued, so I now have to purchase it directly from Chanel and save it only for special occasions. Who knows . . . hopefully the discontinuance is simply temporary to revamp those top notes?!! I'm praying for a newly evolved release!!

Sweet yet spicy, stands out but not overpowering, a safe bet, if you are unsure..

0- 2 hours - Projection excellent, oranges, sticky, bubbling little spicy fizz bombs, just like Anateus Homme in that way

2 - 7 hours - Projection good, around 1 foot around, becomes a little more spicier as times go on. Could be Unisex but would say a little more feminine than pour homme. Oranges still there

Very Good all rounder

I love the dry down of this fragrance, the vanilla smoothens it, however initially when I put it on for the 1st 20 minutes I find it too heavy, too spicy & overpowering. Once it settles it smells very exotic & sensual. Very little of this should be applied as it can take a while to settle into that beautiful velvety floral oriental. I especially like the Bergamot, pink pepper & vanilla combination.
Allure Sensuelle has longevity, the only other Chanel perfume I love is Coco Madamoiselle. Unlike Allure Sensuelle, Coco Madamoiselle smells easy on the nose right from the top notes, so there is no waiting time. I love Allure Sensuelle but have to put it on half an hour before I leave the house, to give myself time to overcome the top notes....

Love the drydown in this!

But I find it hard to ride the harsh waves of the opening until I'm carried safely to shore.

You can tell this is Chanel. All their perfumes have a common genome that is easily recognizable. And I appreciate that and adore it.

The drydown is an oriental dream of creamy vanilla, woods, and subtle lavender doused in a souq of spices.

Two thumbs up!

Generally I don't tend to wear Chanel perfumes because I haven't often found one that suits me.

However, I found a bottle of this in my closet (even though I don't remember buying it) and I tried it and I found I actually do like it, once it's been on a while anyway.

The initial fragrance I didn't really like at all. All I could smell was strong patchouli with a hint of fruity scents hidden behind it.

Once it dried down though and the patchouli smell waned a little, I really enjoyed wearing it.

On me it dries down to a spicy vanilla scent with a hint of woods, and it's probably my favorite Chanel perfume. Where some of their scents are a bit too mature and dated for me, this is more modern, while still retaining the essence of classic Chanel.

It has pretty good sillage and the scent lasted for about 8 hours.

If it wasn't for the overly strong patchouli in the top notes, I would love this perfume. As it is I like it and would rate it 7/10.

Allure Sensuelle is quite sophisticated and serious, but sensual at the same time. I find it creamier and rounder than Allure EDP (which I also love). I actually don't find the patchouli to be that noticeable, so I'm surprised to see it as the strongest note voted at the top. This fragrance has a muted-spice quality. It is dry, dusty vanilla, warm vetiver and labdanum, and velvety florals. I pick up on the peach a little, but it is certainly not an overly sweet or fruity peach scent. There's also something in Allure Sensuelle that adds some freshness, but I'm not sure what it is....maybe the lavender?

For me this fragrance has a classy, vintage-like feel. The soft, dry quality somehow reminds me of everything from antiques, to old books, to the unique dusty scent of a makeup bag. I mean that in a great way....this really is a different and elegant fragrance! It's cozy, warm, and classy.

I really enjoy this one...it's also seems to be not as widely worn as some of the other new Chanels (i.e. Coco Mademoiselle, Chance), which is an added bonus.

Very chic and french, not my favourite from the Chanel house but it is a safe fragrance for when you need to feel special. This is not a man trapp by itself has many have said but it is definatly a fragrance that claims personality and charm. It does somewhat have that 80' characterisctic of the "sexy" scents because it maked me think about lace lingerie under a silk blouse. A little bit to "church pearl necklace" for my taste but I'm going to wear it in special occasions like weddings.
Perfect for a religious kind of sunday or if you are that type of person who's like to seduce in a distant way.

I disliked this when I tried it when it first came out, but tried it again, thinking maybe as I'm a little bit older I might like it more, especially as I like Allure.
But no. From the notes I should love this. The opening is just so strong. A gush of florals that don't quite blend with the bitter spices. Somewhere in the middle something turns rancid on my skin. I then begin to get a candied scent before it gets to the base of amber, vanilla, patchouli and frankincense, yet still with the hint of jasmine. If this smelled the way the base does, once the fragrance has worn down for a while, I would really like it, but unfortunately that is not the case. It is just too strong and perfumey for me sadly

I wish that Jaques Polge would get his finger out for Chanel - this really is not an interesting fragrance for the money. It is a pleasant, good quality office fragrance which neither offends nor makes you want to lean in closer. I'm much more impressed by his 'Diva' composed for Ungaro on a tenth of his Chanel budget but far more worthy of praise. These 'polite' orientals really annoy me, and I really feel they are made for the western market where people are obsessed with smelling 'clean' and non-offensive, and enjoy wearing a brand name.

Allure Sensuelle has gone straight to the top of my favourites list.
I love orientals but I hate powder, incense, wood, leather and amber, and very loud strident notes, yet I want rich sensuality and a positive character, and this perfume is the perfect answer It has to be my floral/oriental from Heaven. It is quite a surprise to find Chanel doing such a strong and sensual Dior-like perfume, a sister of Dolce Vita. From the first intense sumptuous floral bouquet reached my nose, I had fallen in love. This is as good as it gets.

My husband loves it on me and i'm always "in between". It's a nice scent, longlasting, but a little on the fresh-green side. I think I smell something like melon . Somehow the scent is nice, but somehow it's also not my scent-group (too green/fresh).

PS: I just re-tested it today and still didn't like it. It had something benzoic to it somehow. I guess I simply don't like scents where patchouli dominates.

I'm unsure if it's still sold overseas, but in the U.S. it was discontinued a few years ago. It's a bolder and more alluring scent for Chanel. The brand usually sticks to what they know, which are classic and relatively neutral scents. They don't push the edge of sensual fragrances, but this was a departure from that. It was my favorite of the Chanel scents. Someone once described it as a Sophia Loren scent, and I agree.

Chanel Allure Sensuelle is alluring.
It is a spicy, very feminine and ulta-sexy scent. It is fitted for a woman who is very confident of her sexuality. When I sprayed it, It warmed my skin and senses, I knew there and then that chemistry was present. I think it's the pepper and spices that has a kick to this scent. Ive purchased it together with another Chanel scent and I can tell the big difference.
I love it, it works for me. It brings me to a different level of sexiness. What a pity I never wanted to try Allure Sensuelle before. I guess I've arrived to the right time to get Allure Sensuelle.

if you take Tom Ford Black Orchid, combine it with Coco Mademoiselle, then remove the notes that didn't mix well - and you get Allure Sensuelle. At least, that's how my nose perceives it. And you know what? I like it. It wasn't love at first sniff, but it captured my attention eventually.
Allure Sensuelle is feminine, long-lasting melone/woody/vanilla; it's the perfume people always notice on me and complement me on it. But my favourite part is that I don't encounter it as often on other people as Coco Mademoiselle, Chance, Allure etc.

Outstanding! At least to my likes. This plays a lot like Coco Mademoiselle on opening with sparkling bergamot and pepper--nice and bright.

I love the fresh rosiness in Allure Sensuelle--not heavy but feminine and well balanced with sweet, dried fruit in the heart.

The drydown, oh! The drydown... a little 'prickly' patchouli for a come-stroke-me invitation combined with glowing amber and sensual vanilla. Vetiver adds a rooty note that contributes to a dry, salacious dimension. Very grounded and sexy.

I do prefer this to Allure EDT which was a favorite of mine for a very long time, and of which I don't find many similarities. So far, Allure Sensuelle is my most favorite Chanel.

In my opinion, Allure Sensuelle ( I have an EDP) is the only Chanel fragrance (besides Chanel # 5 which i don't have the guts to wear) with a lot of character: deep, complex, luxurious and seductive.
I can't really pick the notes apart, but they are blended so well together, the scent is in perfect harmony, no more no less. The staying power and sillage are excellent. To me this fragrance is well worth the investment and repurchasing.

Very good scent. I REALLY love 31 Rue Cambon, but it doesn't last very well on me. I think 31RC smells very similar to Allure Sensuelle, with AS having a touch of added sweetness. It is WAY stronger than 31 RC. If I am going to spend that kind of money, I had better be able to smell it! Go big or go home!

Again, LT has me in shock; gives 31RC 5* masterpiece, one of the 10 greatest perfumes of all time...and Allure Sensuelle 3*?! HUH? I love to see what he thinks of scents I love, but I will not be swayed when I am in love. Greatest nose in the world or not, this just smells better on me. I cannot smell melon though as the great nose does. I am glad of this, as I don't generally like melon in my fragrances....it makes them watery, which I detest.

This is a Deep scent, and so comforting and warm in the winter....and where I live, that's A LOT of the time! Will also make you feel so sexy.....I know I add a little more sway to my walk when I wear it, I don't mean to, it just happens...

Even better than original Allure..

Allure Sensuell Edp is sexy, spicy and has a strong vanilla base. This fragrance stays warm, soft and does not get sharp.

Allure Sensuelle is not a fragrance for everyone to wear. It must be worn with the confidence of a real woman. Definetly a scent best for night, a bit too heady for daytime wear. It is incredibly magnetic and will receive a lot of attention.

This fragrance must be applied in small quantities.

it's nice but to handle only with very light hand !!!!!
the heavy patchouli overdose is really strong uuuuh, it ruins a little bit the whole composition for me, after a while when it dries down on skin it becomes sweeter and better. but strong breathtaking (in a bad way) mossy patchouli still there. nice peppery rose and lavender. agree this is a bit masculine though ! don t think it would feature in my favelist. sillage average.... staying power endless.

i can only imagine Cruella de Ville to wear proudly this fume! a heart of steel and rude sexiness to death.

>>edit<< i gave this another try today. i do believe really now that to apply this directly on my wrists and inner ellbow and behind ears was too mutch.

I have the EDP of Allure Sensuelle, and for the entire day, (on me) patchouli is the domininant note along with a close-to-the skin hint of vanilla. If you aren't a fan of patchouli (as is my husband) then I wouldn't bother with this fragrance.

I love this scent when I first spray it on.. but within 20 minutes of wearing it, it begins giving me a headache! Also, my boyfriend thinks hes allergic to it. I bought this when I was in college and don't remember me reacting to Sensuelle this way, so maybe its me that's changed. I will say it is definitely long lasting on me.. however to tell you the truth I wish it wasn't because of the way my body reacts to it. I think this one may just be too strong for me. Maybe I should look into some of the other Chanel perfumes that aren't as strong or heady.

i remember when my mother got this as a present. i wore it for her, lol. thank god she didn't mind, hehehe.
i'm one of those ppl whose always trying to find the ONE, the scent that im going to smell and fall in love with. i've already had the first great love of my life (perfume wise, of course) and am very sad it's over, wish i could go back, but i must say this perfume was nearly the second.
this is a very sophisticated perfume, BUT its not snobby. It's the perfume of an intelligent woman. It's bold without but paradoxally subtle, it's a cloud of sexiness without being overt. Subtle and rounded out by its fruity scents (but not in that annoying candy apple way that fruity's can do.) This is a very well designed scent that anyone over the age of 18 can wear because it really doesn't have an age barrier. its mature with a hint of eternal youth.
This is a perfume you should get to know.

@Cisco, Allure Sensuelle edp is a great bold scent with a 5 meter monster sillage and lasting 8 hours at least on my skin. I'm not sure about the edt though, but I know there is a lot of chinese knockoffs in circulation, said to smell "authentic, but not beeing as longlasting..." poured in "authentic bottles" etc etc. I found a very scary chinese wholesale site with page after page with authentic looking Allure Sensuelle (and all other Chanels, Poisons etc etc).

So beware on ebay frag friends. Knowing this I would only buy Chanels in a proper perfume shop. The dealer did the only right thing when he took it back for refund. I'll bet it was a fake.

At first Allure Sensuelle smelled like liquorice on my skin. Then it faded into something spicy and floral. Very nice but with a shaprish udertone I can't identify. Staying power isn't that good on me either unfortunately. I think I'll try the original Allure instead.

The only Chanel that loves my skin.
Sensual, indeed, and elegant. Mature, certainly not shy, but young. Allure, in its literal sense, is an aura of style that surrounds a woman. It's in the way she walks, looks around, holds her bag..
Haughty, with class.
Wear it when you feel a rebellious Princess.

I've never thought of myself as a Chanel girl. Every time I visit the Chanel counter I always gravitate towards Allure Sensuelle. So far in my life, this is the only fragrance where I've been complimented on by disparate people [ie my sister, my dates...]. I'm thinking this might be my signature but I'm holding off a purchase for now.

Like Allure, Sensuelle is formulated to be a multifaceted gem. Equal parts sugar, spice, and everything nice.
The main selling point and of this frag is the vanilla. I usually avoid sticky smelling, intensely sweet perfumes [ie fruity/vanillic] stuff like the plague. But the juice actually contains essence of REAL bourbon vanilla. It's soft, feminine, and classy and it is incredibly well blended with a hint of flowers, spices, and a base of musky smoke. The fresh notes make it more airy , otherwise it would be a full on oriental.

On my skin, it's hard to discern the notes. But it is indeed sensual. I'm guessing the 'sensual note' is similar to cashmeran, the star ingredient of Donna Karan's Cashmere Mist. The fragrance is indeed at once cozy, sensual, warm, familiar, classy. I am in my early 20's and I really enjoy it. Being Chanel the sillage is great. You don't need to spray on too much. I've been trying the EdT. Note to self: must try Edp. What's the difference bt the two anyway?

I prefer Sensuelle over Opium. Why? As much as I like Opium the one ingredient I do not like is sandalwood. It reminds too much of my Chinese grandmother and old people smell [musky drawers filled with sandalwood and moth balls to ward off insects].

I have only tested this on a paper blotter, but- good lord- this is a one of a kind fragrance! I am actually tempted to give up trying to describe it and stop at "mmh rrrrr gaaah" :D

It is a very intense floral with a spicy-woody vanilla drydown, however the heliotrope note really lifts the scent and gives it a beautiful airy aspect.

I half expect it to turn weird on my skin because it's what patchouli usually does, but I really, really, really hope it doesn't, so that I can buy some of this bottled magic!

Allure Sensuelle smells so good!

It's creamy and warm and spicy in the same time.
I also feel it a bit mentholated?!?
...the base is so similar to the original Allure edp!
Nothing masculine about it !
Great sillage and lasting power !
I could feel the tester strip for about a week !

AS it's just a bit more spiceier and woody...and i also feel the candied fruits in this one !

I'm not sure if i will purchase it (right now ), since i allredy have the Allure edp , but, i like it and i must be sincere that from the reviews i didn't expected to.:).....
A must try, no doubt !

This is one of my latest purchases and i've worn it on a couple of evenings out with a soft black cashmere sweater and felt absolutely fantastic. i had a small sample bottle of this and at first didn't think much of it, but it sort of grew on me. there's quite a lot of jasmine in it. i had started using Yves Rocher's so elixir which has some similarities, and liked that so much that i decided to get a whole bottle of the Allure Sensuelle. well, this is getting promoted to one of my sexiest perfumes. it's not something i'd wear to work, more for special evenings or on holiday. i could still smell it hours later and it made me feel quite irresistible. it's warm and sexy without being too bedroomy or slutty. oriental without being too dark, not too sweet, just right. i am delighted with it.

What a beautiful perfume!
I really love this one the most from Chanel, it's a perfume for a chic, sophisticated - but sexy - lady !
It is a strong perfume, great sillage and long lasting too, gets lots of compliments...
Yeah, it is expensive but it smells rich and expensive as well. I only have few samples of this beauty that I keep for special occasion.
Perfect for night ( I'd wear it on both Winter and Summer nights myself ), but it could kill in hot Summer days :)
Sensuelle has strong Jasmine. So, I wouldn't recommend it for people who aren't big fans of jasmine.

One of my favourites, even if Luca Turin would rather dine alone and read a New Yorker (then go out on a date with Cindy Crawford) see "perfumes the guide a-z" for more details :)..
It is very sexy, very alluring. Lasting power is incredible - 24 hrs+, and my skin usually eats up a perfume very quickly. It's flirtatious and indeed tres sensuelle. As with other Chanels, not for everyone though. Not a jeans and a t-shirt type of fragrance...

I had initially bought this as a variation of my beloved Coco Mademoiselle - I thought there was something similar there. I fell in love with it... completely and madly in love. I am a big fan of patchouli and this one combines it with fruity and oriental notes. My first review was maybe not so enthusiastic about it, but now that I am back to Coco Mademoiselle, I actually miss Allure sensuelle. Without a doubt I will buy it again, and without a doubt, it is my signature scent.
One to keep exclusively for evenings though (I would never dare wear it at work). I remember once going out and I sprayed it once on my neck... half an hour later, someone at the other end of the bar table where I was sitting asked who was wearing "that perfume" (and actually recognized it was a Chanel!).
I am hooked on Chanel, even if I am still to learn to appreciate classics such as Coco (although I am coming round to it) and No5

Written words are secondhand and useless when facing her royal highness imperatrice of the roses. She is sitting in her garden and reading good night story to White Rose of York, Blush Noisette, Cardinal de Richelieu, Ispahan, Ferdinand Pichard, Penelope and Lady Hilingdon. When they close their eyes she gently strokes their heads and covers them with peach and vanilla leaves. Takes a deep breath. Noisette, bourbon, tea, pink, white, gallica, damask... no wild roses in her garden. No mistake that this is Chanel.

I am hoping that one day I will become a women who wears Allure Sensuelle.

I have it for about three years. My housband bought it to me at airport in Tunis. It is a first parfume I wanted because I liked it on my co-worker.
In the beginning I was disappoined at scent and myself because it was too strong even to me. Usually I wore it mostly at evening formal events.
But now, in last weeks, I adore it and wear it in office too, because I feel myself misterious, sensual and warm.

I can't imagine to wear it in the spring and summer.

I like Allure Sensuelle in spite of the fact that my nose and skin don't agree with most Chanels. I like Allure in EdP and this Allure Sensuelle both EdT and EdP. They are different scents, they bear the same name but they are not very similar. Allure Sensuelle started like a strong woody masculin mess on my skin, so I thought: "Oh no! Never a Chanel again!" but I gave it time and in just a few minutes it blended with my skin and became a soft vanillic woody sensual and quite elegant scent with some floral notes. I expected more flowers and more originality, but all in all it's a fragrance I could easily enjoy during fall and winter.
I really like the bottle and the vivid purple colour.

When it comes to Chanel fragrances it is either a hit or miss with me. While I quite enjoyed the spicy Coco, the powdery and soft Allure and the fresh and exciting No.5 eau Premiere, other Chanels like No.19, Cristalle and the highly renowned No.5 left me dissatisfied.

However along came Allure Sensuelle which restored my respect for Chanel fragrances. The scent is unique, stylish, rich and spicy. A scent that will certainly rouse up the men and awaken your animalistic desires.

Do not be turned off by the opening which tends to be rather strong and alcoholic. Once you wait it out for a few minutes, a gorgeous dusty yet sexy spice warms the skin.

In reality Allure Sensuelle is a combination of a variety of smells; spices, woods, musk, fruits and flowers. Somehow all these notes blend together successfully. I'm still in awe of this fragrance.

The patchouli note is dominant, so I'll admit that this won't appeal to some. The vanilla note also lingers in the background creating a slight sweetness and comforting warmth.

The sillage and lasting strength is unbelievably good, so good that you would find it quite overbearing in the warmer months, so it is best worn at night or during Winter.

Overall, Allure Sensuelle is indeed very sensual. Chanel never fails in producing elegant and sophisticated scents.

This is the only Chanel that I've tried and liked so far, but I've tried very few. I had a 3.4 oz bottle, and used 20% of it. It's very well done, slightly musky, slightly amber spicy vanilla fragrance. The opening notes are not nearly as pleasant as the dry down-in any case, I did a "hug-in" event promoting gay rights, where I hugged hundreds of people, and I received plenty of compliments with this one. One lady asked me if I was wearing Egyptian musk--as far as I can tell, that's a good sign, since I love Egyptian musk. As far as oriental fragrances go, I would say any more sillage than this can be annoying, and this isn't too heavy, but it leaves a slight trail. I sold my bottle, since I got tired of it, I prefer a richer smell--like Accenti, one of the best scents ever.

I love this scent. It's very warm and inviting allthough I didn't expect it to be so spicy beacuse it opens up very gourmand and vanilla like. If you have ever eaten a pecanut white chocolate vanilla cookie you will know what I mean. But then later it becomes really spicy and sensual. But the vanilla always stays in the background no matter how the notes change. So it's sort of innocent yet naughty. I think this could be the original Allure (EDP's) younger and more innocent. But equally sexy sister.

This perfume intrigues me a lot and that is because it changes sooo much on my skin, that I don't know what to make of it...should I like or not??? Let me explain, to me, it starts with a smell of nail polish and banana peel ( weird, I know), a very strong, sharp, schreechy smell. After about 20 mins it settles down to something beautiful!!! It becomes soft, sensual, warm... I detect vanilla and amber in the drydown on my skin. Apart from the opening notes, which are too harsh for me, but they fade quickly anyway, I think it's a beautiful fragrance, worth the money, very long-lasting and seductive.

After trying Coco Mademoiselle which I kinda liked yet something put me off. It was this Chanel note (not note but something that is in all Chanel frags I tried, it varies, in worst case it's sour on me) that gone slightly sour and was making up inner conflict. So I tried Allure Sensuelle. I's quite similar to Coco Mademoiselle, but this note isn't sour. Opening is very interesting- blend of patchouli and sweetened citruses... Heart notes includes same patchouli + peach if you sniff your wrist not sticking your nose to it and if you do stick your nose to your wrist you get rewarded with spices from base- similar to indian incense sticks (or whatever they're called).
Longevity is super awesome (I think all Chanel has great staying power, I remember trying to wash off Coco Mademoiselle from my sleeve- quite something to do..) At last, I found Chanel for me :D

There is something special with many Chanel fragrances but this is my absolute favourite!!!

I had spent a few years looking for a new signature scent when I ended up at the Chanel counter. Allure Sensuelle became my choice as I found it fresh, sexy and intriguing. I love how it developes from the citrusy topnotes though the sweet powdery rosy heart to end up with a smokey amber vanilla base.

I started to use it a bit hesitant as it is quite loud the first hours, and I wondered if it really was "the one"? Today I love many fragrances, but Allure Sensuelle has a special place in my heart, and the marvellous drydown has become a part of my personality that I wouldn't want to go without.

Chanel Allure Sensuelle perfume + edp = signature - works everywhere
Chanel Coco for nights
Chanel N°19 edp + perfume for days
Chanel N°5 edt + perfume for special occasions.

I should correct myself about this one a bit. It can be easily used even in summer, at least on my skin, it becomes very fresh..no spices, no bitterness, even sweetness is pomegranate-ish sort of or fruity,, or else osmething Icant understand, teh very least my skin makes some sort of strange watery very fresh fruit out of it. I like it more on clothes, more authenticity. Thoug hmy husband when I have it on my skin, keeps on complementing me every other minute, which is so not 'him'.

Anyway, Allure Sensuelle and Allure(orginal) are the only two perfumes that I've came accross, that truly proves to me that each perfume reacts diffently on the skin, not only evaporates sooner or later. Before them I was convinced that all this thing about perfume smelling differently on another person, was just a fiction

This is a rather busy but well constructed scent. Like the original Allure (which I am not terribly fond of, and don't find may similarties to in AS), it boasts a multifaceted composition, here with equally balanced components of Woods, Amber, Fruit, Citrus, Floral, and Spice. This perfume has a musty, spicy plum note-think of an aged Syrah. It reminds me of old libraries-one of my favorite places to be! Definitely a fragrance for autumn and winter. Long-lasting, with an obvious sillage. Very grown-up; I would pair it with cashmere turtlenecks and plaid skirts (with black lace underneath!). If you like the notes, but find this simply too Victorian, then go to Estee Lauder's limited edition release Pleasures Delight.

Quiet like oriental afternoon, when peoples resorts to shadow from sun and contemplates sluggishly beauty of world. Deep, dark, sweetish, thick, but not heavy, with discreetly coquetting note musk. It's a very rich and decent scent, not the kind I'd immediately fall in love with in a heart beat. It's warmer than some other Chanel fragrances I know (say Chanel 19), but still somewhat cold and distant. An "I'm the boss" kind of scent.
What caught me by surprise was the unmistakable resemblance to Cartier's Delices on dry down. Although the two start entirely different, after 30 minutes they dry into a romantic, thick, very sexy, fruity scent. The Chanel is cooler, of course, but they feel very similar.

Allure Sensuelle seriuosly hooked me. Confusing and rich smell, and the one I really really like. I don't understand what notes are in it, but I've already addicted to it.It's warm, spicy, bitter, ellegant, sensuous, distinctive and I agree, seriuos. Seriuos like Coco or Allure, the playfull easier going scent is Chance from Chanel perfumes not others three. It is for me lighter, younger version of Coco, not Allure, but I must admit the name Allure Sensuelle is the right name for it.If I could I would buy two biggest bottles in advance..Not suitable on hot weather, but I could wear it everyday in all seasons and colder summer days, thanks God winter's comming

To all the Chanel lovers: I have to admit that in the last two months I got to like Allure Sensuelle more and more...something like that has never happened to me before. When I got a sample of it it was just too strong, but I guess I applied too much or something... Anyway, I wanted to find out what people find so amazing about Chanel fragrances, and so I kind of forced myself to try it a few times more. Then, I smelled the many different facets of the perfume which I really appreciate - that's what makes out a "good" perfume in my opinion.
I've still got some trouble with the head note which reminds me of Chanel No. 5 a lot, but the rest is really nice, I have to say. Also, the staying power is great.
I am now planning to buy the whole bottle.
To everybody who doesn't like this one initially: Put a little amount of perfume on your clothes or on your body, and wait a bit. Don't smell closely at the beginning, because the head note needs getting used to. But the aura that surrounds you is amazing.
