Frangipane by Chantecaille is a oriental floral fragrance for women. Frangipane was launched in 2004. Top notes are water hyacinth, violet leaf and orange; middle notes are jasmine, incense, ylang-ylang and frangipani; base notes are amber, musk and vanilla.

A pretty scent...Obviously it has frangipani which is such a fragrant and happy scent. But it also has a slight tinge of smokey incense that keeps it from being a straight-up floral.

It starts off in a very sharp way-oddly citrusy but with a good deal of the frangipani and a touch of jasmine. But as it settles in you can begin to smell the ylang-ylang ever so slightly mixed with an incense-like vanilla. For all of its bluster at first spray, it doesn't last on the skin for very long and settles to only a soft powder after a short amount of time. But if you like a more floral side to your floral-orientals, this one may be right for you.
