I don't get the "green" notes too much, but I know the freesia subtley comes out. It is a fairly strong fragrance, when they came out, I bought both Frangipane and Wisteria, and on occasion would use a short spray of Wisteria and then spray Frangipane on my counter top and dab it onto the same pulse point-that was a nice recipe. I wish they would sell this in smaller quantity-my Wisteria went bad in 7 months--I had only used 1/3 of the bottle. They should take a lesson from Joe Malone.
Wisteria by Chantecaille is something of a chameleon!
The bottle is simple , if rather uninspiring and the juice is a rather peturbing grey colour. But if you can get past that and spray it on...
This is really potent stuff. Its a very very 'purple' floral. A forceful, juicy, womanly blast of heliotrope, wisteria, violet and lilac. There are definate shades of an oriental here. After a few hours it's become something much more delicate, and it's only then that I can identify the freesia and orange blossom.
Thankfully I can't detect so much as a trace of the tarragon, it's an ingredient that I react very badly too and actually deterred me from trying this for some years. The mid-phase is quite airy and light yet still quite exotic and voluptuosly feminine. The green notes (violet leaf maybe?)don't seem particularly pronounced but do add to the luscious juicy feel.
Ther base is a pleasantly oriental musk with perhaps a tiny touch of vetiver which adds a nice little bit of fizz.
I can imaginer Jane Russell wearing this, a strong deep and luscious floral for a strong willed temptress....
Very nice indeed, but try before you buy, the phases are quite radically different and if you fall in love with one of them you may not be quite so enamoured with the others.
