Douce Faute Charrier Parfums for women

A mini-set containing 7 of Charrier's older perfumes was mine for £3 via ebay and has sat in my collection for the best part of 5 years prior to testing today. From the first spray, my mind immediately thinks Estee Lauder's Spellbound. It's warm, classy and pretty. Initially, I smell the peach and apricot, which seems well blended, bright and sparkly, and tend 30 minutes later to continue into a heady blend of amber and sandalwood. I believe this to be point where you are really left with a similar dry-down to Spellbound. I can imagine wearing this with a 80s vintage black velvet dress to dinner with my SO in a candle-lit restaurant, such as Tavern On the Green in Central Park, such are the references with Spellbound. Longevity even mimicks Spellbound and 4 hours later the beautiful dry-down is present and doesn't require pushing you nose against your wrist. I'll be returning to this once I have some vintage/original Spellbound to make a thorough comparision with.

This one belongs to the Tresor family, a bit softer than Tresor!
