Totally fruity at first, opens with a juicy and tropical mango-blood orange drink. I've liked it because smells pure and summer-appealing.
But after this, it turns more and more flowery. I like floral perfumes, don't get me wrong but it comes somewhat out of context for me.
The fruits are sweet and comes a blast of jasmine, by surprise, powdery and sour. I wish it could follow the initial style but I don't feel it goes in this way at all. Anyway, it's a good perfume and quite usual fruity-floral.
i guess im getting old :/ yikes because this is a clean sweat scent but its beyond childish?& i think on top of that im opposed 2 the ed hardy brand it would be cool 4 middle schooler's but we have ALL age's running around with hot pink glittery tiger's on the ass of there jogging suit's & the bad thing is a brand like this IF your gonna rock it .....U should wear 1 piece at a time because ed hardy is SO stand out bold the rest of your out fit should be UNDERSTATED but . . . .no no no u see peeople with the T shirt& jeans & tennis & large bag & sunglass's shamlessly strolling thru the mall like they are wearing runway couture its C R A Z Y . . . & you can smell these folk's b4 you can see them . . . .& they smell like hearts & dagger's or i guess its villan now . . the other thing i loath about ''follower's is just this fact if you loved hearts & daggers why? did u drop it like a hot potatoe the DAY the next scent dropped???? do you even really like this ? I THINK NOT you just like the brand maybe you could start wearing the bottle around your neck people LOL with the price tag still on it :) . . .plus if i did get a tattoo it WOULD NOT be a don edhardy style they suck they look like sumthin from a 5th grade art contest at BEST so wuts the lure 2 this cheeeeesy brand???????? some 1 please please tell me?
Very fruity and sweet, with enough tartness to keep it juicy and not just sugary. I really like the mango, which is the strongest note here. The mix of fruits and just a bit of florals smells delicious. I don't care for the bottle, which is mostly all plastic cap. I also think the artwork, with its skulls and heavy tattoo suggestion, doesn't match the scent at all, being so girly and fruity, but it is a big part of the brand. Maybe the contradition was intended. I was on the fence about this at first because it is a bit of a generic fruity scent, and do I really need another? But I got it and I'm glad I did.
@ Jylna, I have both Taj and Hearts and Daggers and to me they smell nothing alike, even if they do have similar top notes.
can anyone tell me if this smells anytihng like escada taj sunset
This is one of my favorite perfumes. Its has a perfect balance of fresh, and sweet tropical fruity. This perfume lasts all day on me.
This perfume smells SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good!!!!One of the best smelling perfumes out there!:)The bad thing about this perfume is that the smell doesnt last:( But beside that i love this scent!!!<3
LOVE this one!!! Soooo fruity and yummy! This so far is my favorite from the Ed Hardy line, to be honest it smells like a shampoo I love....so basically my wrist smells like yummy shampoo, fruity, a tad floral, a bit of vanilla, just yummy! Wallymart has small bottles of most of the Ed Hardy line (missing Villian, but that's very new) and I've been scooping them up, this one is going to be used much more than the others which I liked at first but then didn't like so much after a few days (plus the husband didn't really like them). They are keepers though because I love tiny bottles and the bottles are very well decorated and cute. This one seems to last a bit longer than the other Ed Hardy perfumes on me. My favorite perfume from Christian Audigier is his debut perfume (his namesake), that is big bottle worthy, but the little bottles of the Ed Hardy perfumes are nice too. :0)
I love love love this scent. It starts out really fruity and then became a soft floral. One of my all time favorties. Usually a perfume with musk as a base will end up smelling horrible on me, but not this one. After 5 hours the soft floral scent was still there.
Fresh ripe juicy Peach, more Peach and then some Mango. Sweet canned fruit, sugary candy like, and then a hint of Watermelon.
The DryDown is perhaps the best part. Gentle sugary, strawberry like. Yeah, maybe some Leather/Amber too, but the Peach never goes away.
I have a sample of pure Benzoin resin right here... and i WISH they would've used a lot more in this.. it would refine it, and make an instant classic.
Definitely a very yummy flirty girly fragrance, for Summer, daytime, but i wouldn't restrict it. Whenever you want to smell like Peach, this is it. Girls, this is yummy, and i'd be licking my lips trying to find a reason to get closer.
I do like this and believe it's underrated but it is just a bit flat to me. By flat I mean when you smell certian fragrances you get lots of different notes which makes you go "oooh" "mmm" "yum" etc but with this it's just "oh thats nice". It is a nice sweet floral but nothing spectactular, i would reccommend it to a teenager but its to expensive for that!
grainy sweetness its like i can smell the grains of sugar in this..the mango adds to the fruity sweetness of this frag and the florals makes it more sweet..so it is a veryveryvery sweet perfume..as people say its in line with escada oceanlounge, midnight fantasy and this one
Its a very very sweet scent. Its almost sugary. I like it though, I wear it during spring and summer mostly.
My least favorite of the Ed Hardy Tattoo scents. To me, it smells cheap, boring and beyond linear. I'm with the reviewer who said "you can probably get similar scents for under 10.-". Don't like it at all.
Walked in Sears one day looking for a scent, and found this. I don't like florals to much at all and I tend to lean towards to musky, spicy scents. This perfume on me smells "DARK" sweet on me, and I smell no florals. Hubby says I smell good enough to eat. I've been buying it ever since! I <3 this scent, and don't know what I would do without it.
Im surprised that I like this as much as I do. Still, I only purchased the large sample bottle. 0.25 oz I believe. I actually really dislike the Ed Hardy brand. I think its really cheesy. :). But I have this co-worker that I see about once a month (we work opposite shifts), and evey time I saw her..I had to ask..WHAT are you wearing!? She always smelt so fresh and clean with a fruity pop added. She told me it was Hearts & Daggers. I was almost embarassed that I liked it, but, oh well, i do! I feel so out-of-the-shower fresh with a girly fruity twist. Not my favorite scent...leaving that to Alien, hypnotic poison, and L de lolita...but really fun and great for a pick me up!
I got this as a gift from my mother...I would never actually buy this frag, but I must say...it is a very enjoyable super-sweet scent. The only way I could describe it: cherry Kool-Aid or a Jolly Rancher. I detect some watermelon but this is in no way a sophisticated perfume. This scent could be easily (and inexpensively) found in a mall body spray (like Victoria's Secret) with the same staying power. I have to douse myself in the stuff in order to have a sillage. After about 2 hours, I can barely detect any fragrance on my skin. Bummer. In other words: this is an ultimately forgettable scent put out by the newest trendy brand. A great buy for a teen, but not for a fragrance connoisseur.
I love this smell it really good,my Sister got me from my birthday!
Very fruity & sweet. Smells like some sort of sugary soft drink. It's alright, but i'm sure you can get similar scents for under $10.
I tried this in a shop the other day along with Born Wild. I can't remember which was which but one smelled like bubble gum and the other was sickly sweet like dewberry. Neither for me.
I love the tattoo design style of Ed Hardy stuff and for some reason thought that the scents would be more exciting.
Pros: Smells fruity and mango lovers will love it
Cons: Really not long-lasting.
It's good tho
When I smelled this in stores I was like "Dude WTF?!" Why would people pay so much money to smell like kiddie fruit punch? I like fruit punch smells don't get me wrong, but it's just ridiculous to spend so much money on a scent that smells like kool-aide because it's Ed Hardy. There are plenty celebrity fragrances with super fruity notes just like Ed Hardy that costs half as much. Heck there are even body splashes at Victoria secret that smell just like that are ten dollars. What's the deal peoples?
Although I do like this fragrance, it is trendy and for the younger crowd. It is very fruity and does not last long (3 hrs max). I agree with the other review that it smells like watermelon, almost like a Jolly Rancher. Don't get me wrong, it is a fun scent for summer day.
I tested this and quite liked it, thinking about buying it as my casual summer perfume. It is cheerful and hip. Would go well with the T-shirts of the same style. It lasted about 3 hours on me, which isn't too bad for a casual scent, I think. The only problem I had was that the base notes faded into my skin.
its sweet and fruity, kind of sparkly, but not long lasting... at all. i'll use it, but honestly i wouldn't buy it again. there are so many other perfumes out there like this but imo, much better and longer lasting.
a 5 out of 10 for me.
I tested this at the store for the first time yesterday, and although my nose might have been a little effected by the other smells I was sampling (lol!) :) What I could predominately smell were fruits... i.e. watermelon. (I asked another shopper in case I wasn't smelling it right, and she also thought it smelled like watermelon.) Very summer! :) Juicy and light.
So I think it's really interesting that it's not a note listed here? Perhaps some of the fruits mixed with apple/ apple blossom makes it smell like watermelon? It reminded me of being young and getting watermelon candy at summer camp or some fruity Victoria's Secret bath and body spray. Mmm so delicious! It is almost sweet and nostalgic enough to remind you of candy! But interestingly enough not cloying at all.
I can't wait to go back and test it again! :D I think I might have to get one of the tiny bottles of it. I am excited that it is one of the few fragrances that you can buy a mini of! 15 bucks! You can't go wrong with that! ;)
Love it! :) <3 <3 <3 It seems like a very feminine and flirty scent. Definitely perfect for spring and summer.
I do sense some florals but they are very soft and not overpowering. The sweet is light and a pleasure not cloying or icky at all. And the base notes are also almost not noticeable but enough to balance it out nicely.
This is a beautiful scent! It is hard to buy a fruity one that isn't too strong in any direction (cloying, too tart, too sweet, too floral, too something..) This is a pleasure. Very young and happy. But also not 12. Girly-girls, you will love this one! :D
Bought a couple of samples on ebay from a good seller and I couldn't wait to spritz some on....and then I couldn't wait to wash it off. I waited a few minutes though and all I got was rotten cantelope or rotten melon. Sorry but its a thumbs down for me.
I tried this (actually, it was rather forced upon me by an overzealous sales woman) at a department store. It smelled boring and the truth is that I would never, under any circumstances buy a bottle of perfume with such an ugly, tasteless, cheap-looking flacon. Pass.
Have perfume house noses lost all imagination? Almost every fragrance smells alike today: fruity sugarbombs. Hearts & Daggers is exhibit A. Imagine a bowl full of mushy packed-in-syrup fruit cocktail drenched in pounds of sugar. This is not a subtle or complex perfume, no slow revelation of it's delights.
There is no opening, heart, or base. The notes rush out all at once. The only smell to this is "sweet" and "overripe". The graphics on the bottle are really striking, really imaginative. If only the scent lived up to it's packaging.
I have Hearts & Daggers in a gift set along with the original Ed Hardy for women. I love the original Ed but only like H&D (although my husband prefers this scent). Part of the reason is staying power, Hearts is much lighter and only lasts 4 hours even when I layer with with the lotion. I would like my EDP's to last longer than that. I also find Hearts & Daggers to be more floral, woodsy, and musky as opposed to the creamy, sweet gourmand notes of ED Hardy.
When I first apply the perfume it's very fruity (blood orange, apple, and strawberry) and strong but after a while it gets lighter, more floral and woodsy in nature. The base smells heavily of cashmere musk and what almost smells of cedar wood, although not listed. I do find this scent sweet and appropriate for any age but lacking a bit in originality. I understand the comparison to SJP NYC, as I also have that scent and their strawberry and floral notes do bare comparison.
Overall I do like this scent and my husband loves it so I will keep my set. I just don't know if I'll repurchase, only time can tell. Recommended to those with a nose for fruity-floral fragrances with a wood and musk base.
7/10
I smelled this in the store and absolutely loved it so I searched online and bought a 3.4oz tester bottle for about $35. The top and mid notes smell amazing but since the bottom note...ohhhh my. Am not such a big fan. It's overly woodsy on my skin and it has no staying power. I clocked it at a little under an hour and a half on my wrist and I could barely smell it. Very dissappointing.
love it love it love it i just got the big bottle :)
I received a sample of this perfume and couldn't stop smelling my wrists, I HAD to have it and now I actually have 2 huge bottles. I can see the similarities to Sjp Nyc and it kind of smells like Escada's Ocean Lounge...I guess because all 3 share the strawberry note. However, Escada's OL has a fizzy strawberry champagne smell and Sjp Nyc has a stronger strawberry note, Ed hardy has strawberry and some more fruits and is sugary sweeeeet and very fruity, like candy. I absolutely love it! I wish it lasted longer and was stronger which is why I have 2 bottles so I can spray myself as much as I want. Definitely a new favorite in my stash!
i really love floral-fruity! So, i bought it,because of that! On me,i really get the apple,theblood-orange,the apple blossom, the mango.really love that it is fruity!for summer,or when you miss summer!
@guest_mamamia... its $5 and it can be purchased at CATO. :P
Smells exactly like "fancy" grade canned fruit cocktail, lying in a puddle of heavy syrup, with mushy cubes of unidentifiable fruits punctuated by bright-magenta maraschino cherries. Not that it smells like CHERRIES ... but then, neither does fruit cocktail.
there is somtin bout the way they design the bottles i swear he is an emo
and love kills he must of had bad love life
Well, what do we have here....Honestly I would call this fragrance The Barbie Girl perfume.......I think that this is a really cheap ordinary smelling perfume? It brings memories to me from my high school period. It just makes me think about those young teenager girls that use to run away from school to go to pubs to smoke or at the mall (that was so lame).
And the bottle and the packaging...Oh Lord this is so unusual for me. I agree that we have to accept the new things, to try to understand the new fashion but the design of this bottle is so...... terribilistic?
The thing is that when I first see the bottles and the packages of Ed Hardy's from Christian Audigiere, the last thing that comes to my mind is that these are ?perfumes bottles!!
I honestly would rather say that they are some stupid drugs from the Spice Shop, or harsh chemicals or things bought in a Circus.
I am sorry as this is not my intention to offend anyone, but this is such an average scent that it doesn't have the right to be even exposed in the same place as the big houses like Guerlain or Dior or others like them.
Just a nice sweet berryish fragrance on me with no sillage or lasting power. I sprayed it on 1 hour ago and can barely smell it at all anymore. Not a keeper...
I just walked into a candy factory, and they are boiling a big vat of fruit flavored life savors. It's steamy and hot in here, as the windows are all shut and sealed. I'm gasping for air, when finally after about two hours the door open and the scents subside.
What I'm trying to say is that this can be very strong at first but after a while it dies down to nothing. Nice while it lasts. However, if you do not like sweet scents, you may want to pass on this one. I can't smell the apple exactly, but I certainly pick up the mango. Something else, could be the violet, but I don't really know what violet smells like. In the die down more of the musky aroma is apparent.
I'd like it more, if I could just get past the opening of sweeeeeeeet candy.
The middle and base notes are fine.
I like this one, but to me it smells like a little girl perfume... i prefer Ed Hardy EDT... and I don't know why but I could find something similar with Moon Sparkle by Escada
I got a little tester of hearts and daggers I took the cap off and sniffed,I thought to myself is this for a man or a women? to me it smelled like a mans cologne so I thought maybe I'll give it away a few months went by and I saw it and thought what the heck i'll try and if I really don't like it I can give it away.... let me tell you I am so glad that I kept it I fell in love I mean maybe even in lust lol to me Hearts and daggers screams come F*^K me. I have tried all of the ed hardy perfumes and did not care too much for them. I have had many many people tell me thay love the smell to those of you who don't care for it good, More for me.
I received this in a little mini tester spray and I haven't tried it on my skin yet but on a napkin its very very sweet. I can definitely smell the apple (almost even taste it!)and it really does give off a type of strawberry-champagne type of feel.
I don't know if I'll be able to wear this though, green apple notes make me sick to my stomach so Im not sure about the red one yet.
This one really smells like SJP NYC, i like it but its not uniq wich i want in a fragrance. Maybe it smells a bit like some of Escadas fragrances too, cause i know i have smelled this scent somewhere before. I dont know how long it will stay, i have seen that others think it doesnt lasts long at all so it will be interessting to see how long it will stay on me.
Very sweet, I can smell strawberry in this as well. I watched a few men test it with their wives at the counter and they all remarked strawberry as well and loved it!
It was a synthetic smelling strawberry, although not offensive and vastly preferable to SJP NYC which is chemical strawberry cocktail, this one is much better - nice even. Having said that it wear time is truly atrocious and I wont be adding this to my collex, would cost me a fortune to smell like this because of the vast reapplication it would require. Pity, because I rather liked it.
Codename: Grape Juice Perfume
I work at Macy's, so we nickname this fragrance "juicebox."
I like the smell, but it's more like a fragrance I would just sniff.
I wouldn't wear this stuff.
By the way, when I did try it, it started to smell like...plumerias on me.
I like this much better than Ed Hardy for her. Fruity, the overall effect leaning towards strawberry, not quite as sweet as the original. Really nice, but I think it's possible it disappears even faster than the first one, otherwise I would buy a full bottle.
To Guest_Mamamia:
This $4.00 imitation by a brand called "Inky" is not called 'Tattoo' but instead: 'Tattooed', and it is NOT an imitation of Hearts & Daggers.. Rather, it is an imitation of the original Ed Hardy Eau De Toilette (the one with the cylindrical bottle), so that review below yours is not entirely accurate. However, I'm not sure where to buy it, as I have never seen it before. I have only seen a few auctions of it on Ebay, and in its description, it always says it's an imitation of the original. Hope that helps you out a bit.
The staying power sucks but I love the smell. I seen one review that said a $4 imitation was found called "Tattoo". Where can you buy this?
Smells great but the smell absolutely does not last! In fact, I saw a $4 immitation called Tattoo today, and I sprayed it on one wrist and the $80 Ed Hardy on the other, and the $4 perfume lasted way longer and smelled exactly the same. Very big disappointment!
Smells nice, a bit more floral than the 1st fragrance, however staying power is quite weak...Wouldn't mind having a bottle w/ the matching lotion...
I haven't tested this perfume on myself yet. But I was strolling around the perfumery section in Åhlens with a friend. She tested it and even though I am skeptical too Ed Hardy perfumes,I must admit that it suited her.
On her this perfume smelled like a coctail of rasberries, violets and apple. I could feel that plesant smell from her even hours after she spritzed it on. But this fruity perfume did not smell like some undefined fruit sallad like most floral-fruitys. Instead it smelled very fresh and clean. The cleaness came once the top notes settled and it was indeed a smell of fresh innocence.
But it's strange because the name and the package speaks of a rather dark, prehaps heavy scent. Yet the scent itself is very serene and almost innocent. I am slightly preplexed in a good way.
the scent is wonderful, staying power is the worst I've ever seen. I won't be buying anymore for that reason. It's a waste when you have to use a gallon a day.
I like the opening notes because they are somewhat fresh and juicy. The drydown is similar to Ed Hardy's other creations but it is simply average. After finally purchasing a bottle it is not liked much at all...? o.o Actually smells rather synthetic to my nose. So there is still not a single Ed Hardy fragrance that I truly enjoy. ;'(
I absolutely love this perfume,i cant put my finger on exactly what fruit it is but put together is wonderfull!!!
I love the smell. It's very fruity and has some wonderful undertones. The only downside is that you have to spray a bit on (it takes me 3 or 4) to really have the scent stay. Otherwise, great buy.
This seems even sweeter than the original Ed Hardy. And what I like about it is that it's a fruit-syrupy-kind-of-sweet, and not chocolately or bakery-sweet. I only tested this at the store so far, but as other reviewers have already stated, the lasting power doesn't seem to be very good. Another thing is that I absolutely cannot stand the look of the bottle, cause for one thing, I don't think the tattoo look is attractive at all, and I also don't like the 'skull-look' either, it's too 'harley davidson-ish' if that makes any sense,... And I am about the farthest thing from being anything like that. However, it's not the bottle I'd wear, it's the scent inside, so I might end up getting this one sometime in the future.
Loved at at the 1st sniff & bought it,now 3 weeks later it has become my new favorite!!!
i agree...it smells nice, but as some said previously...the staying power is not good at all...
I love the scent, its almost the same as Ed Hardy For Women. Just a lil bit tone down.
11/28/09 just got it -the staying power
is not good at all. For $55.00 i would
of hoped for more. wish now i could carry it back to macys.
smells so divine! FRESH,FRUITY! better than the other too. very wearable and not too sweet. just got it!
love the bottle!! very curious for this one, looks like a masterpiece..hope the staying power will be better!
