I was surprised to like this perfume as I guess I was being a bit of a snob, as I'm not really a fan of Christina, but I take it all back!!
I get all the notes with this, the vanilla and sandalwood follow the fruity florals and make for a surprisingly pleasant and grown up fragrance. Its lovely at every stage.
My bf told me I smelled really nice and when I told him what I was wearing he said "well I don't like her but she sure does smell pretty!" lol
It is unfair to class this fragrance with the other celebrity scents as it really is so much better than any others I have smelled. I got this as a freebie but I'm seriously thinking of buying a full size bottle soon.

I couldn't remember where have I smelled it before, and just now it came to me.

'Christina Aguilera' perfume smells like hotel rooms in four star hotels. When you come in, You can smell fresh, white sheets and a gentle wind that comes in to the room through the window, along with a hint of sea breeze. It also reminds me of those little soap bars, that they give You in every bathroom along with tiny shampoos and warm fluffy towels. They always smell nice, and when You think of them they always bring a little smile on face, the memories of being away from home and being careless, spending a little too much money and doing things that You wouldn't do at home.

Aguilera reminds me of good times, when I was having a vacation in Greece and Spain. For that I love it a lot, despite that it's not really that extraordinary.

This is a lovely perfume. This is made for people who don't like very strong, very sweet, very overpowering perfume smells. This is quite natural, delicate and fresh. It will smell good on woman from all ages.
It's a great "starters-perfume" for teenage girls as well.

I don't find this perfume sweet. I think it's floral and powdery which are my favorite type of scents. It's very femine and chic fragrance and I think it suits a lot of different age groups, even though I don't see a teen wearing this. This is one of my favorite perfumes because it's casual yet classy. I has an average staying power.

I didn't like this simply because it smells nothing like its notes would have you think. There is no sandalwood at all which is one of my favourite notes. There's also something synthetically sweet about it, like white chocolate or cotton candy. Some may love that kind of smell, but I don't.
General warning- the staying power is pathetic.

This has been my 'signature' scent for years. I discovered this perfume when i was about 15, and i am now almost 19. Some may find this perfume very simple and boring smelling. But to me it smells warm, feminine, floral and sophisticated. Yes it's a very popular perfume among teenagers, but i think that it suits more mature women aswell. I adore this perfume. It brings back some great memories..
The only downside to this would be the lasting power.

I thought the bottle looked real pretty......but the actual perfume is just so boring and cheap smelling. I was expecting a sexy, floral scent but all I smelt was a generic powerdy, flower perfume. It reminded me of some 99p deodorant :s

I feel this perfume is ordinary cheap floral perfume! Just floral note and it's so ordinary nothing interest anymore. Compare to By Night. BN is more sexy and interest than BD. If I choose, I must choose By night

It's cute, sweet and light. Lots of black currants and something green, for some reason I can't really find the vanilla notes, which is a shame, because if the vanilla was more prominent, this might just be perfect.

lots of peach at first but then it smells like a fresh fruity shampoo! gentle, clean and fresh scent. soft floral vanilla dry down. it dissipates quickly thou, about an hour later i cannot detect it. more lasting power needed! other than that it is quite likable!

quite nice scent prefer by night though,not too strong vanilla and jasmine were lovely and noticable

Yes, it's nothing special, not very original, but I like it. Very nice scent of vanilla and plum. Unfortunately not long lasting:( But I'll repurchase.

first i saw it had peach in it and decided not to get it cause i can't stand peach in most perfumes. but then yesterday i tried it and liked it so much i got it. on me there is no peach at all. first there is some very fresh fruit salad which fades away quickly, then appears the vanilla, which seems to be the most dominent note but it still has some fruity freshness to it, first i thought it had to be grapefruit, but since there is no grapefruit listed i wonder what it could be then...
anyways i like it very much.

I love this fragrance. I just love the burst of fruity sweet goodness when you first spray it.. and then the beautiful creaminess of the vanilla and sandalwood. I love it from the beginning, middle to the end! I know everyone has said it doesn't last on them.. but I can smell it all day on me. I'm not a Christina fan but, wow I love this perfume!

I had this perfume from my cross mom,but when i got this, it has sooooo small quantity in it,but smells good, i like it :D . I can't decid what to buy again..Naomi Campbell Cat deluxe At Night, or this. What do you think ? Wich is better ? I once test sprayed this on my skin and couldn't find anything special in it. It doesn't bother, but it's not really good enough to buy it I think. The staying power is weak too.

This is a very simple perfume. Relaxing, sunny, far from heavy. Nothing really special.

When I first smelt Christina Aguilera perfume, I fell in love with it! It was so gentle! Firstly, you smell fruity notes(black currant), but soon it becomes floral, soft and gentle! Absolutely love it!

One of my all time favorites although I agree with other reviewers that it doesn't last long. You have to spray about 3-4 spritzes for it to kick in. I think the notes of peony, vanilla, and sandalwood come through he most. It is by no means a cheap smelling fragrance. My husband chose this one for me, he has a gift for out my all time favorite perfumes. Don't be put off my the celebrity name. I wish they would prefect it so the scent lingered all day/ night instead of a few hours. I feel it embodies all that a woman should smell like: exciting, alluring, and romance wrapped in one package.

I tested this out during a layover in Germany and I really hate at MYSELF that I didn't get it. It smells amazing,quite feminine and 'classy' compared to other celebrity perfumes.

I think it'd be great to wear to go to school, especially those in high school. Which would include myself :)

This is a nice, inoffensive perfume. It is quite sensual and sultry. The plum comes out the most on me aswell as the peach mixed in with the jasmine. I don't really get much of the vanilla, however, it's still a nice fragrance.

I like this perfume but no particular note stands out where I can say I smell the blueberry or I smell the jasmine...to me the scent is very linear... but I like it. I would wear this during the day to work because it's not overpowering and there isn't a lot of sillage. I'm curious to see what by night smells like.

In all honesty it isn't the worse perfume I've smelled of a celebrity, actually it's not as bad as people are making it out to be. It's quite girly. I used to adore this perfume when I was sixteen because I could afford it and it smelled nice. At twenty I'll admit I'm quite bored and have grew out of it. I do still have this on my shelf though. Although the the smell is nice the Lasting power is really disappointing!If it lasted longer I probably would have liked it more! The bottle detail is good. I'd recommend to high school girls.

My husband bought this for me in Norway for Christmas, I would love this scent if it weren't for the lasting power. Fades away in an instant. It's a very creamy and powdery scent, classic, sweet, and sexy.

The bottle to me is too cheap looking, the imprinted lace, the shape, the ribbon around the top? C'mon.

It also doesn't smell anything like by night, to me. I like it when a scent that shares a name at least smells similar, where you can see where they came to that conclusion.

This freagrance is aso great for spring thats when it fits best and totally dig the plum in the perfume it makes it so sexy i would say its not a casual but an every now and then freagrance and i love it<3

Christina Aquilera is just a lovely scent. It smells soft but keeps strong. It's very hard to define, just soft and strong in different meanings - I hope it was understandable. And that beige package with the baroquesh lace on it... is adorable.

CA is pretty comforting to wear on cold winter days. I feel kind of "soft spices" but I can't name them. The only thing I can identify is the group: Oriental Vanilla. I don't get any floral, maybe the slight idea of them. The fact i can't phrase my thoughts shows how unique I find the smell. It makes me feel a mature and every mens fate-like woman.

In my country, CA is loved by many, but isn't overpurchased: you can be outstanding wearing it. The price is not high and the lasting power is fine with great sillage. I know many of us have stereotypes about star fragrances, so do I, but this one has a smell like very few famous house fragrances. It is a pleasure for me to hug someone wearing this.

I got this perfume for Xmas and I really like the scent. It smells so creamy but clean and I love the black currant in the top note. But unfortunately it's lasting power is horrible. Not even 3 hours after I couldn't smell it on my wrist, even putting my nose directly on it. I would have rated this perfume as "loved it" but due to the poor lasting power, I'll rate it just as "like it."

Reading all the comments I just wonder if ppl actually test the scent on the themselves and walk around with it before deciding what kind of a scent it is because the case is usually that it doesn't smell too great at first and it may b a little bit alcohol-y... with this perfume that was definitely the case but after about 5 to 10 mins it started to smell really good on. I fell in love with this. It's a very sensual powdery scent that makes you feel glamorous, sexy and yummy.

THis scent is definitely a confidence booster for me, i feel really pretty wearing it.

Update on lasting power: After 6 hours I still smell it pretty good on my neck and chest but on my wrists it's very very light.

**This is definitely my favorite Christina Aguilera perfume, still like By Night but I think this one is better.

The first thing that comes to mind in this is the blackcurrant. Its very dominant, and its all i can really smell. Although soft, its slighty bitter. After a while it did start to grow on me because its very subtle, however my boyfriend really hates the scent. So i wont be wearing it again. Main point is this perfume has zero lasting stenghth. After a few mins you cannot even smell it. As others have also mentioned. Its extemely fustrating and quite angry that i wasted money on something that dies after ten minutes. Shame cuz i would have bought ahain to wear when my boyfriend wasnt around

Why in God's name do they not sell this in the U.S.??? From what I hear it would be a pretty big seller.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA is the first perfume release by the singer under Proctor and Gamble [She had several releases under the fragrance name 'Xpose' - which never received a official launch AND she released another self named one with a German company with a green bottle].


I find this fragrance a real struggle to describe as it has such a short life and is extremely close to the skin: I can't separate most of the listed individual notes as a result, so it just blends into one big jumble on my skin.

I find the fruit notes the strongest on me, but they are sweet and blend together too well. The plum and blueberry are the only notes that I can separate.

The florals notes could be anything; the top notes dominate everything else. If I constantly sniff my wrist and really pay attention I can just about single out the jasmine, but the florals are underdeveloped as a whole. What I did find easy to detect is a tea note [which raises this from one star to two stars].

The base isn't really apparent - the vanilla-soaked amber and creamy sandalwood are very similar to the fruity jumble.


The staying power is very poor, it wears like a cheap body spray rather then a EDP. After one hour I have to press my wrist to my nose to be able to smell anything.

It is easy to wear and inoffensive to my work colleagues, so it is a good choice for an every day perfume as long as you don't mind constantly 'freshening up'. I don't think it is a good choice for nights out; It's 'quiet' and you'd need to carry a bottle round for re-freshening it.

As well as being easy to wear, it can also be worn all year round; The fruits and tea are refreshing in the heat, whilst everything is [non-cloyingly] sweet, which provides comfort in colder weather.

Overall I find CHRISTINA AGUILERA very uninspired and safe - there's nothing individual about this fragrance, nothing to make it stand out from the crowd. We've all got these notes already with other fragrances.

I wear fragrances for the way they make me feel or as a confidence booster, but this doesn't provoke any feelings, provide confidence or stir any memories for me. I found this very disappointing, after having heard so many good things about it.


I think that it would be a safe gift choice for someone, as the fragrance is largely ageless and is easy to wear and none of the notes are strong enough to be disagreeable.

nice perfume. smells awful at start for few mins but settles in to a soft floral. Which i love sniffing. Didnt like it first off but have grown to love it, however staying power is very very poor. after 5 min, i struggle to find the scent, and i sprayed the bottle 3 times

I could not be bothered to sample any of Christina's perfumes until a few weeks ago when my husband forced me to try it because he liked the bottle.
Result: Yum! It smells like it could be one fifth of my all-time fav Venezia Pastello.
The scent is fruity and sweet but very fresh.
Maybe one day I will be able to create my own Venezia Pastello mixed from different celeb frags.

I buy this with a blind purchase just bcause i'm a big fans of Xtina, n i love this perfume. I don't see the bottle is cheap, it's so gorgeuous, i love the design. It's very lovely, Christina.. i can't wait to buy By Night n Royal Desire :D

I'm a big Christina Aguilera fan so i had to buy this. It came out 3 years ago here in Australia but it opened up to so many negative reviews from our aussie magazines and i was addicted to Dior at the time. Last week i decided to buy myself a bottle. It smells gorgeous. Very soft, not to floral, it smells more like moisturiser rather than a mix of different scents. But like many celebrity fragrances this one has poor staying power. It disappeared off me within 20 minutes.

In my opinion, this is a nice perfume, but that's all, nice and nothing more, and it doesn't last too much on my skin. I have to spray it and spray and spray if I want to feel something. I don't think I'll buy it again, but if I'll receive it, I'll wear it with pleasure.

No, I don't think it is similar at all! This one has a very prominent vanilla going on and is a floral oriental, while hugo boss femme is a crispy feminine fruity floral. The only similar notes are black currant and jasmine, on which I wouldn't base a comparison. So sorry, I don't agree.

It is a pretty and light feminine fragrance, however it disapperes relatively quick. The staying power is really disappointing. Otherwise I could say I really liked it. Today I have been re-applying it a few times so it holds all day. Very pleasant fragrance.

this perfume is very hard to give an opinion on. i sometimes ged a headache or i feel very sick from floral perfumes. i havent worn this perfume because im scared that this perfume will make me sick at the end of the day. i think it smells nice, but i dont really like it or love it

It's soft and light, It smells nice, a bit synthetic, maybe. I can't really say why I don't like it. I know I just don't. Oh well.

I couldn't give a description of "Christina Aguilera" to anybody since the olfactive notes in this one always seem to vanish a minute after I spray it on.

Unlike the Diva herself, this perfume lacks originality, as I find it rather generic and a little too subtle.

Im not the only one who couldnt really smell it - I sprayed it on friends of mine and they've accused meof not spraying it on properly cause they couldnt really smell it either.

I've loved Christina ever since her debut back in the late 90's, and I was pleased to discover that her first official perfume was something I could wear. It's warm, super feminine and sexy. Can't wait to smell the By Night version!

I adore this perfume. It is one of my favorite celebrity perfume scent. On my skin it has a powdery scent,not overly sweet, which is easy for everyday use. I could use it for all occasions, which is worth the money.

She needs to chill on the fragrances for real. I am not a fan but at least I gave Inspire a fair go and it was ok but this one nah! she can sing but fragrances are not her thing.And she is too fake as well.blonde then black christina then xtina so silly your a mom now it's time to grow up!

I was at Melbourne airport recently looking to buy Mariah Carey's M Luscious Pink. Guess what? I ended up getting this perfume instead.

I just fell in love with the sweet, girly and, dare I say, "innocent" scent. I think it makes a great day perfume.

I have no problems with the bottle design as cheap-looking. Let's face it -- it is cheaper than your average perfume. WHAT is wrong with that? I'd rather describe the bottle as classic, just like the scent, and not cheap.

My only complaint is that it doesn't last very long. Other than that, I'm very happy with this perfume.

I'd like to get my hands on M Luscious Pink next.

This fragrance is not even the least seductive- at all. That's the thing about celebrity fragrances. It doesnt keep with the promises and it aims mostly at the teen and tween market which in my opinion, is ridiculous.

RE: for AW: stolen? like most of popular or wannabe popular fragrances... once parfumers found some interesting mix /which becomes hit for masses/ they will use it again and again with some variation of notes but base notes are still the same... and sometimes its really boring how very similar some fragrances are... :-( this is shame!

i was not thinking much about this one... but then i got a tester sample and i was wondering... really nice fragrance! soft - floral - airy - wll mixed - with a bit of mystery... for young women but not only for them. i think this is "uni-age" fragrance for everyone who likes it and for everyday use... there is nothing special in it - but its really nice... just TRY IT:-)

I tried on a blotter, but couldn't understand it, as if it's about nothing. I definitly didn't like the bottle, looks cheap and girlish. The glass is thick, the shape is simple...

I first sprayed this perfume onto a piece of card and I was rather glad I had not sprayed this onto my skin. The top notes were extremely strong and off putting, almost knocked me out. I stuffed the card into my handbag and I didn't go back to it until I got home. When I opened my bag I was wondering what perfume smelt so good, I was surprised that it was the Christina Aguilera perfume card that I previously detested.

All I can say about this perfume is that if you don't mind smelling like an extremely overpowering black currant for the first 30 minutes of wearing this perfume, then perhaps this fragrance is the one for you.

An adorable fragrance loaded with delicious, chic vibes and sheer femininity. I like it a lot! The curvaceous black-laced bottle goes very well with the scent, giving you a good hint of what to expect. It's not as loud and outstanding fragrance as you'd think (as Christina herself isn't the most demure person in the world) but very sweet, lovely and gentle scent for everyday use.

Hmm... Not bad. The advertising is very smart and creative, something that draw your attention and makes you curious about the perfume. I think it's one of the better celebrity fragrances, well done Christina! :) If I had to find something similar I'd say Gabriella Sabatini's Wild Wind... there's a small resemblance.

Very delicious fragrance but not too long lasting.

An extremely sexy and feminine scent, one of my favorites and definitely not one of your regular celebrity fragrance. But then again, Christina is far more classy than her colleagues and so is her perfume.
I'm looking forward to smelling her upcoming scent, Inspire!

I have this and it smells sooooooo yummy. You can't tell what a perfume smells like from smelling it from the bottle! It gets activated by your skins heat...If you can buy it, BUY IT! I got some off ebay 75ml for 15pounds :D mwahaha

I can't think of any similar perfume-that's why I like it that much. It's cheap but distinctive and has several different notes that appear one after the other when you wear it-fruity, flowery, sweet, warm.
