Sour tangerines, sour pineapple and melting plastic is all I can smell.
Was hoping for a HP dupe, but I can not even smell any vanilla. :-(

Pretty cheap but I adore this. Like a soft blanket :)

The only reason I tried it is because of all the reviews mentioning resemblance to Hypnotic Poison. I disagree. By Night smells like a cheap apple shampoo mixed with synthetic vanilla. I wouldn't recommend buying it blind thinking it is a HP replica, because it just cannot compare! I guess what you pay is what you get:/

I loved it in the beginning but later on it becomes dull and offensive for me. I dont agree that it resembles to HP, cos HP is something unique and breathtaking :)

I really love this! It is true it does smell like HP but like other reviewers have said it doesn't have the slight pepperiness that HP has. It's actually softer and simpler than Hypnotic Poison.

I can really smell the vanilla and rhubarb and it creates this 'cream soda' like smell, sweet, fluffy but also smooth. So delicious!

The bottle is beautiful too. I love Christina's day fragrance and now this one. Gorgeous scent and perfect for date night! It's cozy and warm and definitely won't sting anyone's nose hairs!

I also own HP and I thought I'd never say this but I think I love By Night more :)

I feel this EDP is Hypnotic Poison's younger sister, she's quieter not as outgoing, but very nice to hang out with.

I love this perfume. This bottle's make me crazy OMG the scent very very sweet. It's remind me to Ricci Ricci in top note. I love it. I'll give it 8/10

I have it, and I really like it! But it's just too much. Way too much vanilla!

By night is a very good surprise for me. I can understand the similarity with Hypnotic Poison. However I personally think there is a difference because I can't stand the coconut/almond note of Hypnotic Poison. Coconut can make me feel nauseous. Which is why I prefer Hypnotic Poison Eau Sensuelle that is more flowery.
By night remains fruity on my skin. I mainly smell the sourness of apple, pineapple and rhubarb in a sexy vanilla and amber base. It is a bit synthetic and the longevity could be better but I'm not astonished because it is difficult to reach the quality of a Dior at such a low price... I think that it can indeed be a good inexpensive alternative for people who like Hypnotic Poison.

I bought the 50ml bottle on sale at Boots. I really love this perfume as the scent stood out from the usual fruit-floral-patchouli-sweet formula found in most celebrity scents. I spritzed the perfume from the tester bottle on my wrist and on the way home I could not resist smelling it, which is a very good sign. I bought By Night the next day. This perfume reminds me a lot of Hypnotic Poison which is one of my current favourites.I am very happy with By Night as Hypnotic Poison is a little expensive for me to purchase.I can say that this perfume is sensuality in a bottle. A truly affordable luxury!

This does indeed smell a bit like Hypnotic Poison except that this perfume is a bit sharper and stronger-a fruity, vanilla smell that is sharp and strong but sadly, not very long lasting.

First spray is mostly red apple, sweet like caramel but harsh and bitter-sour (must be the combination of red apple, freesia, musk and a tiny amount of sandalwood).

In the drydown reveals lilly of the valley. Sandalwood and musk intensify, oakmoss appears and the red apple becomes sweeter (infact very sweet, like brown sugar) and not so bitter anymore. Next to apple I smell now also rhubab. The sour note remains (this must be the pineapple,tangerine and musk). Vanilla and amber appear, but they are very decent.

The notes, that are most noticeable are lilly of the valley, red apple, sandalwood and musk.

All in all this is a very soapy scent (like a sour-sweet woody soap), so I don't like it at all.

I just do not get all those comments,comparing this one to the lovely, colder, and, more wintry,and sphisticated Dior's Hypnotic Poison!
Don't get me wrong, i would like to be with a girl wearing this one, but, i could not, or better, I would not ever wanna wear it.. I'd feel like an outrageous gay boy gone mad! No, jokes aside, i like HP because it's a lot harsher,in a way, and, it may be powdery (which i just love, and, it's my number 1 preference in anything i wear or on anything my lover should be wearing..)however, in HP, the licorice notes, and, other spices just make it HOT, like a cold fire, at least, on my body chemistry (I'm a hairy, tall and big, muscular dude with facial hair, and, very distinctive features,so, nothing could look light and soft on me..), this one is instead so "girlie sexy".. so much softer,also, very powdery,and, carnal, like an orchid's flesh dipped in creamy vanilla, then candied, with a sprinkle of amber, and, a bit of a few apple/sweet red apples aroma's.. The Heliotrope here is actually quite intense to me at least, and,again, i would love to bite your neck, girl, if you were wearing it.. lol
But not my cup of tea!

It's a sexy, nice and delicate scent. Sandalwood and vanilla are the main notes I can recognize, perfect for a night fragrance.

Once again, like all Aguilera's perfumes I've worn, this should be qualified as an EAU DE TOILETTE instead of EAU DE PARFUM, it's too light and disappear after a couple of hours. Plus it never stands out unless you are really close to someone. Putting too much could cause headache (at least to me) Sorry Miss Aguilera :)

Her "Red Sin" is another very good one tho. Really recommend that too.

Yesterday I got my 50% discounted bottle, was not really planning to buy this but for such a price I couldn't let it stay. I'm an addict :)
In the past i had many drugstore scent and at some point they all had the same mix of cheap perfume bucket so I was not expecting anything from that one too.
But you know what? I am very surprised. I was testing this scent all day and I must say it's very pleasant. After sparaying it settles very quickly and then stops developing. I get very very powdery mixture. Reminds me of vanilla scented candles a lot. It lasts quite long,on me up to 6 hours. Sillage is also ok. For not planned and blind buy I'm happy with this one.

This is NICE!!! Really love it. I can see the comparison with Hypnotic Poison, but at least I don't smell the Play Doh like I do with HP, which suits me fine haha, hence I much prefer this.
Comfortable and sexy.
Might purchase if in a sale.

At first I couldn't figure out where I had smelled this before...then it hit! This smells EXACTLY like L'Effleur by Coty. I had a bottle back in college (early '90s) because of the pretty decoupage vintage label, and the powdery, flowery bomb. I mostly wore it around my dorm room - tucked away under old patchwork quilts and listening to my Beauty and the Beast (tv show) soundtrack...romantic!! I also wore White Shoulders by Evyan. Just something SO very different from all of the other 19 yr olds. Great memory.

is there something wriong with me? i bought the body lotion after reading your reviews, i smell only plastic and something sour,i mean really PLASTIC.

I really liked this fragrance. I had the chance to try it on today and I kept smelling my wrist the whole time. I do smell the vanilla a lot and it does have a very strong resemblance with hypnotic poison. I loved this, great job Christina !

its pretty. it's deep, sweet, a little smokey. reminds me of YES, poison, and Juicy Couture's Viva La Juicy. definitely makes you think of a proud, confident woman, which is basically the epitome of Christina Aguilera. However, its not particularly for me.


Sprayed it ONCE, so if anyone wants to swap for something else, let me know!

i don't get any of the vanilla or fruit from this perfume, i get a lot of amber/musk, at first sniff it smells like it would be a heavy scent but when its wore it seems to calm down. i love this scent.

I really like "By Night" just not by night! I'm really into strong scents for night-wear such as shalimar - so it's not wild enough for me. I actually enjoy wearing this at day time in the summer..haha, so the name is not right for my use. warmer weather suits the fruity notes. try it

Just got a sample of it.
First instant it's sparkling, fruity, I think it's the tangerine and pineapple scents and freesia, which I adore. But just after few seconds, it calms down and I smell a strong, gourmand, warming, elegant vanilla. And I feel the same a bit masculine edge as in Hugo Boss "Intense", just not that intense.
I like this scent, it could be wonderful evening date fragrance.
Staying power is good- I sprayed it this morning, now, after 8 hours, I still feel it.

For those into warm-sexy-floral scents and think CA night is too strong. I have tried layering this one with the original "Moschino for women" (which I always love it's warmth, comforting tone but think it's too plain to be a character frag), guess what? The result is pure sex scent! I get a creamy, warm, sensual, seductive yet classy fragrance, without being too cloying (imagine the softer, warmer, more collected version of Christina herself LOL)

I have bought this perfume without testing it just by reading the reviews written here. I also need to confess that its beautiful bottle had effect on my buying it, too :) When I first smelled it, it gave me kind of nausea which I of course hate. I got suspicious about if I can wear it on winter days or special nights because it was too intense for me (though I am a person who actually loves intense perfumes). Then I slept spraying it on my body and when I woke up, there was nothing. All the scent has gone. I couldn't get it even when I tried to smell it on a spot I directly sprayed it. Anyway, it stayed on my watch so I got one of my girl friends smell it and she really liked it. I got confused and I sprayed it again last night while I was going out and again the same thing. I disappeared within 2-3 hours. Maybe this is because of my body's chemistry. Even though I liked it at that cold fall night as it did not bother me so much with its sweetness and warmness, its longetivity on me is really bad.
My advice to those who does not like sweet perfumes, stay away from this one. Most probably it will make you vomit( I can say this taking my own case into consideration).

DEFINITELY smells very very similar to Dior Hypnotic Poison on me, right down to amping up that horrid liquorice note that supposedly they don't have! It doesn't have quite the same sillage on it as HP though.

It's a great cheaper alternative to Hypnotic Poison, if you are a fan.

I smell more milky sweetness than amber. Maybe my nose is a bit messed up...

A wonderful, creamy and deep scent. I never liked Christina Aguilera's perfumes before but after I tried this one, I will give the other ones a "new chance". It is very similar to Dior's Hypnotic Poison I cant deny that, but it's not as sweet as Poison.

It's affordable but it still has that "luxury touch" a-la-Dior-or-Chanel .

I was at the shop comparing it with Christina Aguilera and ended up buying the latter, but this one kept haunting me for hours later so I went back for it. Best Christina fragrance IMO

Personally I think this is Christina's best perfume and I can't wait to purchase a bottle of it! On my skin it smells like rhubarb and vanilla sweets with a hint of wood. It's really lovely, I can imagine wearing this on a cold winters day and it making me feel cosy and yummy. I wouldn't say it was a 'seductive' fragrance but it probably would be a nice scent to wear on a night time date. I think the bottle looks absolutely divine!

Lovely bottle (again) but nah, I don't find this 'powerful' nor 'sexy'. It's a nice scent, a 'home-perfume'.. Nothing special.

Doesn't remind me about Dior's Hypnotic Poison..

This reminds me SO MUCH of the Diesel Zero Plus perfume.

Just got the 15 ml, and I really like the scent. It's sexy and sweet. I highly recommend this perfume for people who like sweet-floral perfumes. But on the paper it doesn't smell good, so I suggest to try it on your wrist :) It defenetley worth the price.

A little bit resemblance to Dior's Hypnotic Poison, But i'd agreed with one_girl_rev. This is not even close to HP. I'm a HP lover and wear HP almost daily. HP are less sweet but more creamy, sexier, and more upscale in everything.

Anyway CA By Night it good too. I love it. First I can smell vanilla with very noticeable tangerine and apple. Very lighter and fruitier version of HP and can daily wear easily. On my skin the dry down very similar to Avril Lavigne's Wild Rose and Viva La Juicy. Good scent for this price.

I really love this scent. It's really youthful but sophisticated in a fun sort of way. And the bottle is just plain beautiful. I'm definitely looking forward to trying other Christina perfumes!

This is sooo nice! HP with a lovely fruity hint. It is very sexy, but also appropriate for everyday use. Noticable, but I am not sure if it can offend anyone's nose. Staying power is decent on me.

This is my signature fragrance, I love it!! It opens up with almond and fruits. Later you can really tell the vanilla in it. When I put this on in the morning, it lasts all day until I go to bed. It is a little bit powdery, which I don't like usually but in this fragrance it doesn't bother me. It is such a oriental, sweet and unique smell. It is definitely a fall/winter fragrance but I also wear it in the summer because I love it so much!

CA by night is a gorgeous fragrance..perfect combination of vanilla, almond and fruity notes..sweet and sexy at the same time..

a bit like Dior HP, but there is nothing peppery or spicy in by night which makes it really different from HP..to me HP smells more like freshly baked cookies..very deep...rich and warmer than HP

I like By night..it's playful and youthful..fruity..the scent is very concentrated, inviting and girly..doesn't last very long on me though

okay so i'm so sorry and it actually makes me very said to say this but i'm really dissappointed. this was my signature scent for a while and would probably still be but somehow i had two bottles of this going bad. i don't display my perfumes, i store them in dark boxes because i like them and want to keep them. somehow this one here still managed to ge bad twice. i had both about half a year and they suddenly started smelling really weird. it was just not the scent anymore that i remembered it to be while i could still smell it sniffing from the bottle. it is also not only me noticing that, other people could also smell something strange going on with the perfume.
i have to say as much as i love the scent itself, i still won't ever repurchase this again, maybe that happens just because of the poor drugstore quality? i just don't know. however i would consider if you really like this one get the smallest size available and use it up as fast as you can.

I love this perfume! I wear this perfume more than her By Day perfume. when i spray it on me it tend to last longer. i can smell the vanilla and fruit at the same time, even after hours. i have no idea how almond is supposed to smell like, therefore no comments there. i wear this perfume in Spring.

this is a powdery scent and I love those kinds of scents but it did not stand out to me as anyhing amazing, DKNY Pure is a much better powdery scent but this is not bad, just not want I was looking for I guess.

Wow! So surprised by this fragrance! I usually don't like candy-scented perfumes (and this one definitely has a vanilla/candy note!) but I just love it! Somehow it's sexy in spite of being so sweet. I think it's the slight almond scent, combined with an almost imperceptible powder note. (Powder scents are also NOT among my faves, 'cause they usually smell like diapers! But this perfume blends every note for a very fun, flirty effect!)

As a die hard lover of Hypnotic Poison, I sought this out thinking there was no way it could live up to HP's beauty. And I was right. I found CA's almond-y rendition to be an artificial smelling bust. It isn't bad, not tortuous to have on your skin, and I'm sure there are plenty of people who will find it intriguing but it's not HP, not anywhere close.

I smelled this from the bottle and in my opinion, it's too sweet a fragrance for me. It's better than her original perfume though.

Smells very soft and sweet. Has a very nice dry down. I smell mostly the almond and amber. I don't smell any floral or fruit. Theres something masculine about it too.

Oh wow! My very first impression of this was "smells like apple". I wasn't prepared to see apple actually listed as a note because I'm new to perfumes and haven't trained my nose to separate perfume notes. I guess maybe I'm a bit of a natural? ;)

Anyway, I like the perfume but I found out AFTER I got it as a gift that perfumes distributed under the Christina Aguilera name were made with cruelty. So. Whomp whomp. >:/

Most celebrity fragrances are composed as floral fruitys with a hint of cheap musc or sugary gourmands, which is my least favored groups. Christina Aguilera by Night is quite a different story. It is sweet, but by no means sugary. First minutes are dominated by green apple and creamy vanilla, but apple note fades quickly. The drydown is mix of vanilla and almond, similar to Hypnotic Poisson, but not as sensual and creamy. I detect no amber, but there is a bitter-sweet note, which comes from the almond I guess, and makes Christina Aguilera by Night more grown up then other celebrity fragrances. The staying power is decent. Overall it is good comforting scent considering the price.

I love that the top notes smell like the candy red vines. It then becomes a bit spicy and compliments my body chemistry very nicely. This is definitely a try before you buy

I don't like it so much. Vanilla, vanilla ande more vanilla. The smell is like some pudding or cake.

I love this when I first spray it. I love how her perfumes spray out in a fine mist they don't pool in one spot on your wrist. It smells very feminine and slightly sweet. However, as the time goes on it turns to a very cheap prickly vanilla which I am affraid seems to present in most celebrity fragrances. I am not one to hate on a celebrity and give a bad review because of the celebrity but I have most of the celebrities perfumes and they all have this same annoying drydown. If vanilla is present in designer perfumes it seems to be less annoying to me than these perfumes. I have been rotating all my perfumes to see which ones I will continue to buy and which ones I will not once the bottle is fininshed. Celebrity perfumes appealed to me because they were affordable and available most of the time but I am affraid the amount in my collection making it to the "keep pile" or "re-purchase" pile are very few.

I believe they are very cheaply made and the colour turns on a lot of them after a short period of time. They don't last very long either. A reviewer on this site said vanilla turns naturally a dark colour in perfume but doesn't change the perfume's performance. In the case of these celeb perfumes I dissagree greatly.

This is a nice perfume and I have enjoyed wearing it but the vanilla just gets on my nerves so I will not be buying it again. It lasted a lot when I sprayed it in my hair and I got compliments from people who were older than me but I cannot stand the drydown on this.

This fragrance starts off quite strange. A plasticky synthetic mix of fruits and Vanilla. After a few minutes it indeed smells like hypnotic which is exciting, if it stayed that way, that is. The pineapple in this seems to cry out for attention, pushing the hypnotic poison aside. Not a good pineapple either, a fake pineapple juice kind of smell. This shoving game between the vanilla and pineapple really nauseates me. Furthermore, if I apply to much, I get this strange smell of....how can I describe it? Oh, you know when you forget that you have clothes in the washing machine, and they sit their for a day and get all stale funky smelling? Yes, that's the smell. So in a nutshell, this is not for me. But if it works for you, more power to you.

Whoever doesn't like sweet sugary scents should stay away from this one. It smells like pure cotton candy. A note that isn't mentioned, as I see, so maybe the composition overall just gives the impression of cotton candy. If it was an actual note, I'd say it's way too dominant for me, because this type of sweet fragrance makes me feel like a ten-year-old girl ^^
Despite the strong candy, it gives me a very homey, comfortable feeling (probably caused by the vanilla-note)and the impression of a fun, playful charming scent. It's very pleasant if not applied too much and suits cold weather better than warm. Better not wear it on any "serious" occasion. Sillage is pretty low, lasting power could also be better.

My flatmate works in a fragrance store and is always bringing home on tester bottles and THIS stuff is the sexiest scent I have ever smelt on a women. Reminds me of the beach and summer. I spray it all over my bedding just so I can smell it....YUM!

when I sprayed this perfume for the first time I did not realize it was an oriental. In fact this perfume is very quiet comparing with other orientals.It smells nice I got some sweet smelling like chocolate, suitable for young women, for any occasion and for colder seasons or nights. I like the perfume for sure I would say 7/10 on my scale. I will be happy if I receive it as a gift but nothing that I invest on because it hardly lasted on my skin for like 3 hours and the sillage was very poor.

Uodate: This perfume had a poor lasting power on my skin but I can still smell it on my jacket after 5,6 days and I even did not spray on it directly...I even got a complement from a young boy friend for it today...though I have also applied my regular perfume today but it could not be my usual perfume he complemented on...of course he should have smelled sth new :)...impressive!

This is my all time favorite perfume. It reminds me of everything I love. Of autumn leaves, that perfect feeling of being in love, trenchcoates, a starlight sky, scarfs and good books. It's perfect for fall, and dark autumn nights. Enjoy this for all it's worth!

my friend got this for her birthday and as a known HP hater, she didn't like this scent either. i smelled it and fell in love. then i bought it and fell in love even more, smells so incredibly amazing! so sexy and hot plus it's not as heavy as HP so i can wear it during the daytime and mornings. i am pretty sure i will buy it again

Maybe at first this resembles Dior HP, but there is an underlying masculinity that develops with this one that is undeniable. Which in my opinion swings it more towards smelling like Joop! Homme, than HP. I was initially very excited when I tried it because at first it was a lovely sweet simple almond, but it changed very quickly on my skin. Jasmine is not listed as a note here, but I'm pretty sure that is what I am smelling that is giving it that thick heady masculine vibe. I guess it could also be the amber interpretation though. I just wish it was sweeter I suppose. I would have enjoyed a more affordable version of HP myself! Oh well. This juice has fabulous sillage, and is extremely long lasting. Even after a scrub :)

I have to say this is one of the most seductive and hyponotic things I ever smelt. I bought it from Kohl's on Black Friday last year in 2010. I've heard about it years earlier but couldn't get it. I knew this "unique" smell was TOO good to be true, but I DEFINALTELY wouldn't call it a knockoff of hypnotic poison by Dior. Comparing these two is like coke and pepsi. Both pops have slightly different touch to it, but after drinking them a lot, each pops starts to smell the exact same. By Night has a very DEEP smell to it...i like the top notes best, however..for you non-sweet ones out there, By Night probably too sweet for you, so Hypnotic poison is a great alternate. So I thank Christina for helping out...although I was upset about the whole Dior thing at first.. i was hoping it was only from christina. Overall, this fragrance is perfect for the evening. It's still a warm smell..just not the day warm.

I tested this once before and recalled that I liked it. I went to Kohl's to buy this and sprayed it on my hand and now I think it smells like Play-doh. I gave it some time and it didn't really change. So I took it off the want list. And so the search for my signature fragrance continues...

Im in love! This perfume is so AMAZING, when I am wearing it (wich is always) I can not stop smelling it. Once when I was wearing it I fall asleep, and my friend told me that the boys couldnt stop smelling me. Very sexy smell wich boys go crazy for.

OMG, Indeed this is a 'dupe' for Hypnotic Poison, Dior. I bought the Dior poison today and it totally made me think of Christina's perfume because I had it a while ago. Good dupe for younger girls that don't have the money to buy a high end version.

An exact replica of Dior's Hypnotic Poison and it lasts for a good amount of time

When it came out I wondered a while whether it's worth a buy, but the test on my skin made it uninteresting for me. It doesn't last and it just developed to be a typical drogstore scent that was a little disturbing too.

This is Hpnotic poision-lite. It doesnt last as well, very watered down fragrance.

The only perfume by Christina I like. It is all about the vanilla here. Amost identical to Harajuku Lovers Baby Wicked Style. Very nice but perhaps a bit generic.

Hi.I own a full 90ml bottle of this beautiful scent. I found within my perfumes/beauty products a 6ml sample of this which contains list of notes. so i will now list perfume notes given:- TOP NOTES tangerine,freesia,rhubarb,red apple,pineapple.HEART NOTES may blossom, peach-tree flower,heliotrope.BASE NOTES sandalwood,ambery notes,moss and vanilla.

The first thing i thought when i tested this was Dior Hypnotic poison! Although this is much lighter, more watery. Probably a more easily wearable version. Could easily be worn during the day. If your a big hypnotic poison fan, perhaps you could wear this during the day and the dior juice at night and special occasions? Lasting power is not great.

I was finally able to get my hands on By Night after picking up the Christina Aguilera duo set at Kohls. It has the original Christina Aguilera EDP (1.7 oz) and By Night (1 oz). First off... I really wish the original Christina perfumes were more available here in the States.

All of the comparisons to Hypnotic Poison are dead on. There is no denying it. I have a decant of HP and have done quite a bit of comparing/testing and I have to say... I like CA's By Night better than Hypnotic Poison.

For me, Hypnotic Poison can become sickly sweet... and I love gourmands. I have read many comparisons of HP to root beer and I can totally see it. It's more like root beer that has been out in the sun for days mixed with woods and almonds. Maybe with a dash of vanilla swirled in.

Christina's By Night is like they took Hypnotic Poison and made it an EDT/fresher version... the sickly sweet aspect that prevents me from loving Hypnotic Poison is gone. Don't get me wrong, By NIght is VERY sweet and if you don't like gourmands, you will hate this, but it is a fantastic alternative to HP if it just is too sweet for you. When I smell By Night, I don't instantly think "very sweet root beer!" and I like that.

Overall, I really like By Night for going out, date nights, etc., but I wouldn't wear this during the day unless it was cold outside. Good job Christina~

This is my favourite fragrance at the moment. I just adore the sweet but slightly spicyness to it. Makes me feel incredibly feminine and sexy. Love it.

I like this so much better than by Day. I feel as if it smells very gourmand and yummy, where by Day is more subtle and kind of ordinary. I wouldn't exactly say it needs to be worn at night because it isn't unbelievably strong, it's just delicious. I am really happy to have this in my collection

This does smell like Hypnotic Poison but sweeter and more versatile. I love the almonds in this and the burst of mandarin on the top notes. This is the best Christina fragrance so far.

I tried this on today at Kohl's and from the first sniff I knew it smelled like something I've smelled before! I kept sniffing and racking my brain trying to remember what the other almost exact perfume was my first thought was JPG Classique but after reading some of the reviews it's Hypnotic Poison! I like Hypnotic Poison but don't love it, so CA Night is okay but not gonna be a favorite. I'm almost tempted to do a side by side sniff test because they truely do smell exactly the same going from my memory of what HP smells like. My major issue with HP was the cat pee note wafting from my wrist i'm not getting that from CA....a big plus!

All in all nice but I'm not going to invest in a bottle at this point....

I smell pencil shavings with cherry and smoky vanilla musk..and this smells awesome!! I love wearing it at night!! And day.. I am in tropical weather and it smells beautiful !!! It sexy sultry mysterious and witchy!! I love it! Its like hugo deep red and hypnotic poison making love.. I like this a lot! It's lasting power isn't EDP status.. So that's a minus for me:( other than that .. Great!

my first oriental perfume and i love it!
it is sweet and warm without being overpowering.
good sillage, around 3-4 hours.
i dont just use it for my dates (my bf love it!) but i also spray it on my pillow as i lie and unwind my day..it smells that nice! =)

This is a very sexy scent i woul wear it at night as the title already says for a elegant party or in winter

I've got it as a gift because I wanted it after testing it and I'm really content with this one. The only CA perfume that worth its price, By Night is a delicate, spicy-sweet scent. I can't imagine it as a daywear, it's more special, rather to an evening with a gorgeous dress. It doesn't smell teeny, but quite ageless.
Lasting time is very good for the price, I could smell some base notes 4-5 hours after and they were still quite strong.
I like the bottle also, perfect evening accessory.

This is a very nice scent, similar to her daytime perfume. This one smells a bit warmer though, maybe a bit cinnamony so I can see why they market it as a "night" fragrance. But just like the day perfume, its lasting power is 3 hours. Such a shame because the scent is actually very nice.

UPDATE: After smelling Dior's Hypnotic Poison, this does smell almost exactly like it. Just without the strength and lasting power. I think of this as Hypnotic Poison Light.

My grandma and I were at Kohls the other day and she tried the Shakira S perume and I tried this one. Surprisingly they're both pretty similar but I love this one. This is very close to it's older sister the christina aguilera by day signature scent, being that they're both very sensual scents but this one is a lil less powdery and more clean. This too makes you make sexy and beautiful. The two christina aguilera perfumes are a lovely break from the usual loud and heavy scents out there. They're light and classy.

A subtly sweet, warm, and powdery vanilla. Very wearable by day or night. A little too safe for me though. I wish it was a little more daring in it's composition. There are so many out there that smell similar to this already.

I tested this perfume and felt it had a nice flavor to it. Some describes this as being too sweet. I detected sweetness but to me not sickly thats just in my opinion I think I could pull this one off

The smell is different. And not for me. But I loved Inspire.For me is very strong, pungent. Suitable for winter:) For someone seductive, but 4 me it smells like my nail polish remover.

I've tested it and it is a very intense scent, which I've found very pleasant on my skin. I think that CA by Night is a very well blended, warm and sexy scent. Unlike her other perfumes, it has more character and it is really made for women not for teenagers. The lasting is quite long, I could smell the base notes even several hours later.
I've also found the bottle nice and feminine.
I think for its price its a bargain and I think I'll purchase one soon.

To me this is too sweet, too milky. Yes, milky. Sometimes like vanilla icecream, or milkshake (more melty than solid/thick) but with burnt sugar and strong vanilla on top. A definite dairy/creamy quality to it; I can't find anything listed that I think would cause this. I personally don't find it enjoyable.

The strong milky vanille and sickly sweet almond in this takes over, I can only get a hint of orange in the background.

On my skin it's similar to Dior as mentioned below, but not nearly as complex or lovely. By night is flat and sickly sweet.(and I normally love sweet scents)

This smells sexy deep. It kind of reminds me of Hugo Deep red. Very good perfume! I cant wait for her new one, Royal Desire! Here are the notes:

Ok, so smelling my HUGE C.A By Night Sample and smelling my HUGE C.D Hypnotic Poison side by side I can distinguish some similarities and some differences. H.P has a lot more depth to it. It's warmer and heavier and has that root beerish smell in the background. B.N is a lot more lighter and sweeter. I guess it's the Plum note. If I can find it for really cheap I'll buy By Night since I wouldn't DARE wear H.P in the blazing hot sun. I think B.N is light enough to wear in the summer. We shall see.

After the first wiff of this fragrance i was in love! To me the almond is very distinctive, with that mixed in with freesia and vanilla it makes a gorgeous fragrance.

I never made the comparison to hypnotic poison before reading these reviews, but now i can see how they resemble each other. I love both fragrances and the fact you can get by night for a bargain price makes it all the more better.

This is a sexy, deep fragrance i wouldnt say its a strong frangrance. This perfume would probably best suited for an intimate night in with a loved one. The biggest downfall to this fragrance is it only lasts 1/2hr on my skin!

Hello everybody! I bought it 2 days ago...and i love it! There is nothing i love more!!! (not really ) ...it isn't so expensive and the bottle is absolutely adorable! I'm gonna buy the another Christina Aguilera parfume... and maybe PUMA create....what do you think?? =^.^=

I wanted to love this fragrance sooo much but it IS indeed Hypnotic Poison :(. After about 10 minutes it does start to smell kinda different, but if you take a deep smell of it you'll still get Hypnotic. I've been wearing it for about 15 minutes and it's already starting to fade on me. In 15 Minutes Hypnotic is JUST getting started! Too bad.

I'ts warm, soft with a dash of spice, but the softness is stronger. A little bit dark and mysterious. Suits younger women who seem wiser and older, or women in their 30's like me.

It's been a while since I smelt Hypnotic Poison, and while I can in some ways understand the comparison, I don't think Christina Aguilera By Night is entirely similar.

Out of all her commercially released fragrances so far, By Night is the best. There is nothing horribly synthetic about it and it sits on the skin nicely without being too loud or offensive.

Vanilla is very much the driving force within this fragrance. Thankfully it blends perfectly with all the other notes.

I rather enjoy the uniqueness of the top notes which consist of mandarin orange, red apple, hints of vanilla, almond and freesia. The red apple adds a delightfully fresh yet gourmand quality when blended with the almond and vanilla. The scent makes me long for a warm dish of apple crumble served with whipped cream.

Heading towards the drydown, the vanilla becomes muskier and slightly powdery which certainly makes an interesting scent when combined with the rich and warm amber. There is also a possible additive of white woods in the drydown which my nose seems to detect.

Overall I think Christina Aguilera has managed to produce a fragrance that many will like and eventually purchase. Its creaminess and sweetness makes it an excellent choice for Winter, however it could wear well in the Summer too. The lasting strength is quite good so far, so I feel rather relieved in being able to finally recommend a fragrance from Christina Aguilera's range.

OK, I confess - I bought this mostly because of the beautiful bottle. The color, and the lace, and the little black rose - absolutely adorable!
Despite its intentions, I'd use this as a spring/summer daytime scent. On me, it opens with plenty of sparkly sweet mandarin and fresh apple. Once again, the freesia turns a little metallic - does it do that on other people as well, or is it just me? And even thought it's not listed, I think I can smell a tiny hint of coconut somewhere in there.
The almond and vanilla creates a warm, floral base, rich but subtle; but it turns a little soapy (probably the freesia) after a while, which is why I'll leave it for warmer weather.

Reminds me about Dior Hypnotic Poison. Nothing more.

Warm, sweet. It's nice, unless you don't spray too much - it may cause a headache. Almond and red apple stand out the most, though the smell reminds me of red berries. An alluring, sexy fragrance. It will cheer you up in winter.

Nothing special. It's like Avril Lavigne Black star and other sugar-candy creations. Teenagers will love it, but it's awful for me.

It reminds me a lot to hypnotic poison.
But its not so strong and longlasting.

The bottle suggests a bold, dark-toned and seductively sexy "knock-out" scent but it is actually warm and even girlishly attractive - not that in-yer-face at all, thank goodness! :) A super-feminine fragrance which is perfect for both day and night wear I think. Definitely do want this to my collection.

This perfume reminds me of Hypnotic Poison from Dior but it is less overwhelming and less heavy. Christina Aguilera by night stays closer to the skin. It is soft and friendly with some dark undertones.

I find this perfume a little too sweet for my taste, I think that this perfume has more depth to it than the day time version. It's a bit loud for my liking i'm a fan of the more crisp/musk fragrances. Andi :)

This version is bit more sexy. A BIT. I do prefer this one though. I didn't notice how oriental it was until I paid more attention to the mandarin, apple and freesia. Definitely better than her first version. The one that I didn't really get was Xpose. This one was good. :)

Not bad,similair to the first one but with a more oriental twist.The almond note makes it much more interesting then the first.I agree with the hypnotic poison thing,but its more like dropping some drops of hypnotic into the Christina scent.In overall i like it and it is a good fragrance.Not a huge hit but it is a scent i could wear.

The bottle is the same feminine shape as Christina Aguilera, but the lace pattern is different and the color pink has been introduced to the bottle. Very pretty. The lasting power is OK, but not great.

hey guys i work with perfume and we had a tester of this and its amazing. i really love it. i find it quite simlar to hypnotic poison dior. its such a lovely scent and will be buying one with next pay day :-)
