Energy C Lemon by Comme des Garcons is a citrus aromatic fragrance for women and men. Energy C Lemon is a new fragrance and it was introduced in 2008. Top notes are bergamot and lemon; middle notes are cardamom, angelica and incense; base notes are vetiver and musk.

If this had not been a CdG, I would not have given it time of day. It frankly looks cheap, and the name itself made me fear encountering the scent dish washing liquid or lemon flavoured hard candies.
I mention all this because I *know* I'm predisposed to disliking it based on all that - keep that in mind.
Anyway, the scent; it opens very harshly, abrasive almost. Loads of bergamot, I think, that often goes on very sharp to me. It mellows somewhat later on, but I'm not impressed. It does have that dish washing liquid edge that I feared. I wouldn't wear it, and certainly not pay this kind of money for it. 4711 does the same for way less.
To me CdG failed to do what they do best: making something divisive, interesting, out of the common way, avant garde.
