Vanille Ambre by Comptoir Sud Pacifique is a Oriental fragrance for women. The fragrance features amber, vanilla, musk and patchouli.
A lovely, simple scent - exactly what you would expect. This is a soft, warm vanilla with resinous undertones from the amber. It’s not overwhelmingly sweet or thick, and stays pretty close to the skin. Recommended for those seeking a simple vanilla scent.
In contrast to other popular, simple vanilla scents (such as The Body Shop Vanilla), I find CSP Vanille Ambre softer, less sweet, and more interesting with its resiny base. It actually reminds me a lot of Prada Candy's drydown. But it lacks that bitter, green, and citrusy quality that Candy has from the higher concentration of resins. Although this is more linear than Candy, I prefer it. It also lasts longer on my skin than Candy. At this point, I don’t find it unique enough that I want to buy a full bottle, but it is another enjoyable scent from CSP.
