I am quite impressed with "Vanille Pitahaya". I blind bought it expecting to get a somehow weak fruity vanilla fragrance, but I'm glad I was wrong.
"Vanille Pitahaya" starts really fruit with the pear note combined with the pitahaya. Simply delicious. Then there are some flower notes and the basic vanilla base, but I don't get any sandalwood.
Sillage and lasting power are quite good as well. It won't scream "pitahaya" all day long, but the vanilla base stays for some time.
I like Vanille Pitahya. To me it smells like Summer Fruit Fruitella candies. All I get from this fragrance is pear and vanilla. Lovely, simple fragrance. Perfect for summer.
On me it is an icy pear fragrance. Far the less vanilla in the whole CSP range. Strangely enough I like to wear it on hot summer days because of its refreshing, icy feeling...
I find this scent ugly yet compulsive and I mean that in a good way.
YUCK!!! I want to get rid of this. It smells odd on me. Not a favorite, I don't recall why I bought it.
Hello takemyhusbandplz :) only because my deep love with Sud Pacifique in general I would give 4/5 :)
Your description is awesome!
I'd give this a 3.5 out of 5 actually. Vanille Pitahaya is really unique. I know many people do not like it but- I like it! On my skin it smells like Hibiscus, pears and strawberries mixed together with a very small hint of vanilla and powder. I've never smelled or tasted Pitahaya, but they are also called strawberry pears, so perhaps that accounts for the very distinct pear and strawberry notes I smell. To me this is a really fun fragrance. It actually reminds me of Nina Ricci's Deci Dela, but has more lasting power and has strawberry. The lasting power and sillage in Vanille Pitahaya is really good too. This isn't a sophisicated fragrance, but it would work in any casual occasion or I like to wear it to bed. Don't let the reviews scare you away, this is one that has to work with your chemistry. It's worth a try! Pitahaya (if you're curious, like I was) is the fruit of several cactus species. Native to Mexico and Central and South America, these vine-like epiphytic cacti are also cultivated in Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam, the Philippines, and Malaysia. The pitaya blooms only at night; they are large white fragrant flowers, typical of cactus, that are often called Moonflower or Queen of the Night.
