The floral-woody version of Eau de Cristobal is a lighter and fresher interpretation of the famous fragrance Cristobal. The first, morning notes carry a scent of bergamot, mandarin, rhubarb and black currant; the sweet floral heart opens with freesia and peony, while ylang-ylang and jasmine make it deep and sensual. The base encompasses sandalwood, amber, vanilla and Tonka beans. It was launched in 2003. The nose behind this fragrance is Christophe Raynaud.

TURQUOISE

On my skin this is the lighter Oriental floral version of the original Cristobal!
The openning is actually very interesting and this is the phase where the oriental character of perfume is more obvious, I get a strong feeling of the black current mixed with some soft citrus notes
The heart of Eau De C. gets more flowery.. ylang ylang jasmine and peony are very well balanced all together.. The dry down has a vanilla powdery scent with a hint of patchouli which makes Eau Cristobal very airy and delicate..
Nothing Extraordinary but still I think it's a wonderful, well made perfume, especially for someone who's in love with the original and wants a softer version of it!
I must add that the longevity of Eau de Cristobal is excellent!

I ordered a sample of Cristobal Eau de Toilette on eBay and received Eau de Cristobal by mistake--a fortunate mistake, it turns out. The products are often incorrectly listed on line, so check carefully if you are ordering.

I see Eau de Cristobal billed as a lighter version of Cristobal. Still, the notes are not the same.I haven't tried the latter so cannot compare.

Eau de Cristobal is simply lovely. A soft, feminine floral with no perky, candied fruit, yet not a watery "blue" fragrance either. I usually like a more unisex scent, or something with dirtier basenotes, but Eau de Cristobal is just the ticket when I want a gentle, warm--but not overly happy--scent. The dry down is a bit powdery, but not in a bad way.This seems like a very safe choice for a gift, offensive only to people who prefer a scent with big personality.

Very hard to find, so all the more desirable!
