I found this one reminding me strongly of Bvlgari Aqva... with a pinch of tobacco and an added garnish of black pepper sprinkled on top. But while Aqva is heavy on the head and heart, Cuba Brown's base is more-prominent: here the woods dominate the water- quite richly and well-done I might add!
I get lots of compliments from women when i wear this.
Women love it!
An older review said that a kid commented on him, saying he smells like Orange juice. I'd say it's more like Orange Gatorade powder mix. I happen to like eating it. Rather nice actually.
Not very strong at all, sits close to the skin, so it won't hold up to hot Florida summers, but is pleasantly sweet.
Kinda reminds me of Issey miyake's L'eau D'issey's soft sweet citrus.
It comes off as a bargain bin character, but it has its merits, as most Cubas do.
If you got a naturally good "guy smell" for it to blend with, it's an Awesome value then.
The sweetness has a nice roundedness like the Candy like Oakmoss of Serge Lutense "Chypre Rouge", which was compared to "dried fruit jam on tree roots".
So you will find these at the Bargain bins, i suggest you try some you like.
PS: i tried it with some Aoud Oil... and it smells just like YSL M7!
I have eight Cubas now and, I have to say, that this is my least favourite so far. Cubas are normally so good, with loads of character. Brown is a woody scent with a synthetic floral/bergamot background. Longevity and sillage are not good. It was a blind buy so you can't always be too pleased I suppose. The dry down is a fairly pleasant and close-to-the-skin bergamot/woody smell. Cuba Brown is not bad but I won't replace when (or if) I've used this up. I am so disappointed with this Cuba, it's just too ordinary.
Reminds to Herrera for Men by Carolina Herrera!
I think this fragance is very close to Herrera Men, it is very cheap here in Chile.
It last 3-4 hours.
Synthetic, A fellow coworker said ( smells like off) you know as in the bug spray.
1/10 move on my friend.
This was given to me as a gift from a friend I used to smoke cigars with; the gesture was much appreciated. I don't really take this fragrance seriously; but it is a descent smell. It is earth and deep. Perfect if you like to smoke, or like the smell of a sweet flavored cigar. I wouldn't personally buy it; but all in all....it's not bad!
Smells too sweet and like cigar with sandal wood and sugar sort of like plastic
I know it is a men's fragrance but I just love wearing it. Sometimes I need to get away from the florals and orientals and just have to have that fabulous earthy scent that is rare in women's fragrances. Lots of fun. My husband said he liked it on me until I told him what it was!
