Cuba Red is a fiery and masculine fragrance, blending exotic woods, mosses, raw tobacco and spicy notes. Available as 35 and 100 ml EDT.
A really lovely mellow tobacco fragrance. Got loads of character and is very pleasant. Starts soapy and gorgeous. The drydown is great like a lovely unsmoked pipe tobacco with spices and staying soapy. I'm sure I can smell patchouli in there. Staying power is OK and it has a particularly pleasant sillage. The Cuba Paris Range are really great value and this is one of the best Cubas - love it!......In my top ten!
At first sign it smells so strong and tobacco,s, but quickly dissapears andget losts in the skin, a pity because first impression is good for its masculine power but faddes away too soon
Smell is ok nothing to cry over (lol). If you're new to the "game" want something that smells good but doesnt cost much try this out ASAP...give them all a try out
Enjoy it while it lasts. Spicy tobacco and not much else, but very pleasant and masuline. If this lasted longer it would be an absolute bargain, but unfortunately only lasts for about 2-3 hours.
Bottle is good for a laugh, and comes at a very good price
horrifying. its not often i become so disgusted with something i throw it out. i dont even want to pass this on to any friends of mine. just linear and has a noxious spice note, or several.
fine scent. nothing especially magical or special. it's a solid tobacco with some notable sweetness to it. nothing potentially offensive in here. too 'polite' for my tastes. note that it is dirt cheap, so siririschmoos's comments re: "bang for your buck" are indeed spot-on.
yes, kitchy and a Unique find. straight up Spiced Tobacco. Deliciously sweet, strong projection, and not overbearing. Cedar wood. Really does give off this fine cigar box, "cigar shop" feel. Long lasting, and dries to a nice spicy sweetness that stays on your clothes for a long time. Fills the room with a pleasant sweetness. One of my favorite of the Cuba series! Heck i'll always keep this in my inventory!
I love to Odorize rooms with it, my bed and Linens. I got the Perfect Black Cubavera shirt to wear when i use this too. Projects VERY well even under these Hot Miami Summers.
Inventive, high-kitsch packaging- indeed! Of course, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar... but this discount fragrance is more than that. It is masculine and erotic and reminds me of the scent of Spanish cedar used for constructing high-end cigar-boxes... in fact, several people have remarked while I was wearing it- and without knowing what it was- that it smells exactly like walking into a humidor. I don't often say the following about a fragrance: this one will make you lose your shoes.
Seriously.........."More Bang for your Buck" has never been truer. This scent is MANLY so hands off ladies.
How can they sell this so cheap and yet have it smell so sophisticated?
One spray will do but you can get away with two if not in confined spaces or at work.
Spicy and Tobacco-ey(?) but not inscense/headshop/kitchen type of spice-like.
If you are here reading reviews because you're short on cash and you wanna spend it wisely..........then this is IT!!
Thank me later...........
Once a time I had it, about 10 years ago or more.
I remember I'd bought it cheaper than it's marked as niche perfume. Even for that time I remember that I couldn't come along with, and the biggest drawback was that I couldn't set it on my teenage dresses! The bottle package lured me! I thought it must be fantastic, but not for a teenage boy!
As far as I remember it opens with spicy and hot scent which smells between tobacco and pear. Its dry down was good. It wasn't classical although its chypre group, it was pretty modern but there was something in it that had been linking it to classic stuff.
It was highly sweet and waxy.
Not on my taste anymore.
This is pretty nice. Best of the Cubas, in my opinion. Cinnamon, spice, tobacco, and woods. Doesn't last that long, but at the price, you can afford some refreshers. And I actually think the cigar packaging of the 1oz bottles are pretty cool.
I also blend Cuba Red with Salvator Dali Aqua Verde. They blend very well, and the quality blend of Aqua Verde adds a nice touch to the tobacco note in the Cuba Red blend. Helps it last a bit longer.
Yeah, this one is richer than some of the other Cubas and I agree with these guys here too. It's a nice tobacco scent and almost has a patchouli like quality to it. Nice one to wear in the fall, or on cooler nights out and maybe spray on under a leather jacket. Leather and Cuba Red go nicely together. Try it!
Actually, I find this to be one of the more wearable tobacco fragrances. Like Castor mentioned, it's not very complex, but it is quite pleasant. It's a bit fleeting, but it's cheap and it's easy to reapply.
Mmmmm mmmmmm. This stuff is good!
I have heard many comparisons to Burberry London, etc. At the same time I have not sampled those other fragrances. What I do know is this stuff takes me back to humidors, and pipe tobacco shops, and just has a fiery flare to it. Very enjoyable, and for the price this and Cuba Gold are real bargains!
Wow speaking of comparisons I picked up "Cigar" by De Remy Latour today. These scents are very similiar to each other. So far the difference is the extra kick of heat in cuba red. Both are very pleasing.
Fleeting and not very complex but very enjoyable tobacco and boozy notes marketed in a very tacky presentation. Taking in mind the fairly low price at which it is sold, you can perfectly forget about these negative aspects and give it a try: chances you will enjoy it nonetheless.
