"Orange blossom water of the King". Orange blossom was one of the most sought after essences of the 18th Century and in the Court of Louis XV (called "Le Cour Parfumée - The Perfumed Court) it was the epitomy of grace and lightness. Eau de Fleurs d'Oranger was synonymous with Louis XV, so much so that it was renamed "Eau de Fleurs d'Oranger du Roi", posthumously.

This was a disappointment. I am a orange blossom lover, but this DSH sample I got from the perfumed court was very light on the orange blossom and after about 10 minutes all I could smell was a stiff stuffy powder puff- no reminents of the beautiful delicate flower I crave or anything else to broaden this out. I am obviously no longer a powder fragrance wearer. I am just glad I tried this minutes before taking a shower, because this was a very unpleasant dry down.
