Weak. Not woody. More like green stem from a small plant being extract to make this perfume. Light perfume. Is it nice? yes, it wont give you headache but nothing special. Nothing groundbreaking, thousand others can smell like this. Pass.

A fresh, green and slightly minty opening greets you with only a small amount of wood; it reminds me of a household cleaning product but in the best possible way, or a higher-end men's toiletry scent: "Mountain Rush", or whatnot. As the sweetness and wetness recede, more wood comes to the fore, with a richly earthy, organic dirt undertone. I almost think it's too wet to be Rocky Mountain Wood, maybe Cascade Wood or Sierra Wood? It's a lot like the cheapo Stetson Sierra minus the rough edges...greenery (violet?) plus coniferous wood plus dirt. Still, like SS, I feel like He Wood isn't filling any of those roles terribly well...all of those components are a little *too* organic (i.e. rotten) and synthetic, and as unique as it is overall, it makes me think separately about my better green scents and my better wood scents. Still, because I'm so much more used to drier, warmer forests, I'm probably not the best judge of this alpine Canadian brew; it's definitely worth a try, as I'm sure its flankers are.

It says Wood... and it is. Smells like a piece of wood soaked in water.... but really. For me a really interesting, altough strange concept. I can't imagine any event to wear it properly.

Wood couldn't be more misleading. Be prepared to have people wondering if you've been rummaging through your wife's soap basket. It smells like a fragrance soap from Crabtree and Evelyn. Nothing resembles masculinity or woods. Powder and soap is it. I'm a huge fan of woodsy fragrances (Mont Blanc, Banana Republic Black Walnut, Valentino UOMO, etc.), so I grabbed this off the shelves with excitement. Huge mistake! I'm not offended by a soft or neutral scent as I supplement C&K Encounter Fresh here and there, but this is ridiculous. For a positive it has strength that lasts.

Looking at the bottle and reading its name, I thought this would be a dark woody fragrance. Boy, I was wrong! It's floral, light, clean and soapy. That is what I get from it. I like it, but I don't love it.

Dear daynierds we are a large and diverse community here. People wear fragrance for many different reasons. Some women wear fragrance for themselves and other women and some men wear fragrance for themselves and to appeal to other men. Historically different communities adopted cetain fragrances. The gay womens community of france adopted drakkar noir as their own in the late 1980's and gay men did the same with kouros. Le male became a classic because of its popularity in gay clubs. My point is the culture of fragrance is much more interesting and diverse than you seem to be able to imagine. The democratising nature of fragrance means there are no rules only choices to be made and new permutations to discover! Happy smelling.

I didn't smell any wood - I just smelled a fresh note that is common in too many fragrances. This is uninteresting and boring. Also - it didn't last very long on my arm. I am not impressed.

I wrote before people´s opinions is one of those criteria to take into account when choosing a fragrance...another one certainly is what we think about it...
I believe all this debate began because innapropriate and generalizing comments like these:

"Seriously, people wear or like fragances because girls love it ???
There are a lot of people withou nothing of personality... I supose that they are kids going to the college. :D:D)"

as I said as well..generalizing always implies a bit of injustice and that comment was a bit too much for those like me...who take into account what people think and other´s opinions..., if not...what the f. are we doing in fragantica...?...at least I am here cause opinions and advices do care....
one question...will you buy again and use with ease something your wife, girlfriend or people around you hate...?, if so...maybe yes...maybe I may have serious a lack of character and self-confidence
have all a nice smelling or bad smelling day...

@danyerds

I think what @jmansar means is that what is important is that you like the smell you, not others. You follow your own judgment.
And if the reason you use a fragrance, it's likes others, I agree that it is a sign of low character, but of course, everything is debatable ... ;)

Dear jmansar
not sure if I understood what you said but ok...remember that generalizing always brings a bit of injustice...and yes...I declare myself guilty, I like to smell good and not like rubber, cement or semem....if you believe taking people´s opinion on sth is a sign of insecurity or lack of personality..then I believe we see 2 different worlds and even when I tend to respet people´s opinion...., I do believe I live in the right one, have a good smelling day man and keep smelling as you want even if nobody likes it...

It is clear that the interesting thing is smell good, but the smell we like ourselves. I'm just saying that we have to have a little personality.

Dear jmansar
I believe is pretty logical MEN wear fragrances women like...I believe it could be instead pretty weird if we took into account the opinion of baboons, buttleflies or even WORSE...the opinion of other MEN to make our selection if we still believe we belong to the human race...decisions in life have multiple criteria nature, if the criteria women's opinion has a smaller value for you in the selection, for others it's simply bigger...why would I wear cartier declaration d'un soir, 24 gold, bulgary black or encre noir if my wife, friends and even strangers will dislike it...at the end?...do we want to smell good or bad?....for the last option save some money in fragrances and start skipping your daily bath...

A nicely done violet fragrance seems a flanker of Fahrenheit Dior and very close to Absolute Fahrenheit but thankfully it shares only violet with Fahrenheit no gasoline and Rubber smell.

Although its not groundbreaking but worth a try due to its non aquatic freshness , the combination of vetiver, violet and musk make it a really nice option.

I received this from a friend who works in retail he gets to bring home a tester every now and then. He Wood Seems to get better smelling after about 30 minutes and progressively turns into a very pleasant violet scent with trace wood undertones. During next hour it then seems to balance out even more.
It wears extremely close and sometimes I prefer this. I use about 4 to 5 sprays and it lasts a good 6-8 hours on me. I have to admit when I first tried it straight out of the bottle I was not impressed at all. I've had other scents that transform like this one. So I was kind of expecting this.
I found a tester bottle from FragranceNet for a price reference, and feel this is a fair price for this fragrance ($30.00). I don't feel it's worth much more that, but I do enjoy it and so does my wife.

Well, this is a too light and fresh fragance.
There is NOTHING of wood here. After a opening with a lot of alcohol, is basically a violet scent.
Smell good but is too BORING with a good lasting power (more than 7 hours) and a very poor projection.

Excelent fragrance.
Very classic and soft.
It starts off with a strong scent which makes you feel like you're in the heart of the forest on a rainy day. It's a wet mossy fresh scent, but the main smell is rain wet wood and trees.
Then after 15-30 minutes it breaks down and smells sweet but still very fresh. It makes me think of meadows or mossy fields, that's when the smell of moss is at it's most intensive.
After 1-2 hours the smell is still there but it is a lot softer and the freshness decreases but you can still feel it if you smell your shirt. The smell on the body depends much on the person, after a few hours I can still feel the smell on my body and depending on the temperature of the skin/weather the scent changes to fresh and soft to warm and thick.
Do not spray it on yourself too many times (more than 2-5) because it can start smelling very sweet, almost like syrup.
Other than that this fragrance is PERFECT for rainy/cold/humid or dry days.
It is also very usable at night as it is very elegant.
I get incredible numbers of comments from friends and some random people about the cologne. Mostly from ladies.
It is mainly a masculine smell, BUT I would understand some ladies having it.
I have had Rocky Mountain Wood. They are very similar but Rocky Mountain Wood is just a bit stronger and not as sweet.
You could picture it like this, He Wood is a rainy day in late Spring with scents of flowers but mostly the green trees, whereas Rocky Mountain Wood is late winter early spring rainy day in a forest at 6am.
Hope this helps.

From a collection point of view I absolutely couldn't wait to try this and I've been waiting a long time too!
I very nearly bought it blind but finally I found it to test and I'm kinda glad I did.
I love woody fragrances and the assortment of notes in this is right up my street. As I mentioned as a collector it's a must have in terms of innovative bottle design and brand distinction.
When I initially sprayed it I got what can only be described as an awful, muggy horrible note which I identified as being the same smell I disliked from Azzaro Decibel although the scents are quite different this element is unbearable for me.
Thankfully, this smell is short lived and when it's gone you're left with an lovely woody scent, that is well balanced and smooth...just what I like.
I also tried the Rocky Mountain wood and I have to say I preferred that as it has more strength and spice but this one is pleasant and I will definitely add both to my collection at some point.

I bought this for my mum, who absolutely loves it (And on whom it lasts 12 hours if not longer).

I tried it one day when bored. The first spray is THE EXACT SAME as Crystal Creek Wood to me (which I used to have). After that, I can't tell what's going on but I REALLY don't like it very much on me.
I put up with it on mum - and luckily it suits her - but I'm personally not too keen on this.

I bought it as a gift for my Husband, who loves Lalique perfumes. I wanted a bit of change in his perfume wardrobe and this Dsquared Wood smells gorgeous.

This perfume is a long-lasting green-woody fragrance ; quite of a masculine, strong scent. I personally can smell the vetiver, the fir and the cedar above all. I did not notice much the violet. It's there, but to me, it's definitely not the most noticeable note.

It's a very pleasant one. It was a real success!

This is very pretty. It does not project, very soft and close to the skin. The violet and violet leaf dominate the opening and the are balanced by the vetyver in the mid. The cedar is also faint in the mid. Fir dominates the base. However, the fragance is soft, not loud, and close the skin after the openning. A beautifully balanced smooth fragrance throughout. Worth a trying if you are 30 and up. Younger people wouldn't like this. Also this is a man's fragrance but a woman could easily wear this.

My first impression was that someone was able to wring out a wet log into a bottle. Afterwards, I saw the advertising and realized that was likely the impression they meant to give. To me, it's all wood. It's like a cool sauna.

I was introduced to this scent when my wife remarked how much she loved it. Normally, she's a tough sell on fragrance, so when she brightened at it's scent, I knew it must be special.

The wood theme could make it masculine but I would like this scent on a woman, too. It's long lasting and equally great as a fresh-all-day scent or for a night out.

There's very little diference between this and Rocky Mountain version. There is no pepper. But I must say it smells even fresher and more natural woody. Also to me it seems less floral and drier. As in RM I can swear there is some minty note, very refreshing and soothing. Both are a nice transition from fresh citrus for me. Just a little bit soapy or powdery enough not to make the change very abrupt. Perhaps one doesn't need to have them both, in that case I would go for RM which has a more complex formula. Still hoping Silver Wind will be a good choice for the evening

As a woman, I love it. I'd recommend it for men.

Don't wear too much, please, because it's nicer to just sense the lightness of this one.

It is masculine (although could be unisex, I agree with other reviewers)
As I said: It IS a masculine scent, but not in that all-too-usual or typically choking, heavy, or eyewatering kind of way.

This is a modern, casually erudite scent of man.

I especially like the lingering smell of this on the skin after a few hours or the touch of it left in your clothes the next day.

I was told that this He Wood is being discontinued (or it's already have), so I decided to grab it while it's still available.

Just like most members said, it's just all about violet, especially the leaf. It's nicely sweet, very wearable even with that slight bitterly green nuance. The staying power is fair on my skin as well, which is the only downside of it, I think.

Overall, it reminds me of Balenciaga L'Essence or Dior Fahrenheit Aqua, but it's more bitter and subtle, but at the same time it stays pleasant. B+

He Wood is very much a violet-lovers perfume. The violets are upfront and they hardly fade at all during the day as one is wearing this scent. The dry down of wood and musk is my favorite aspect. It makes the scent richer, even though it is light in the middle.

Don't be mistaken by the title - it's not about wood This is violet /ozone and freshness that goes on fairly lightly. Despite that, it's a good idea to spray with caution because it packs an unexpected punch, and it lingers for many hours.

Definitely a younger guy's perfume.

There are some fragrances that go straight to the point, that are easy to please both men and women and that can be worn in the majority of the situations and places. He Wood is one of them!

The start is, deliciously, full of violets. A powerful floral scent that exhales and remains for about 1 hour on the skin. Then, the evolution begins and the woods + vetiver come out in a “forestry” way, with something between damp trees, after a raining day, with a hint of green accords. To finish in a “comfortable” way, a delicious amber, that gives the soft feeling to the aroma.

I saw many international reviews comparing it to kenzo Air. I have this one too, but I think those who wrote this didn’t know L'eau Par kenzo Indigo. This is way more similar to He Wood, at the end of evolution, when we stay only with the final aroma that permeates through the rest of the hours on our skin.
He Wood? Yes, I liked it!

This is the first time where I've tested a fragrance and thought, "I know this." Yet, this fragrance is like knowing the sister of family and then meeting her brother for the first time. This fragrance in my mind is the brother to Balenciaga's L'Essence. If L'Essence is the distilled quality of a gal, albeit a tomboy gal, then He Wood is her more manly older brother. You think I am wrong? Check out the notes on L'Essence. They are similar, but at once different, just like brother and sister.

Where this fragrance departs from L'Essence is the woods, namely cedar and fir to deliver the more masculine punch. The vetiver also helps to ground this fragrance on the masculine side. The floral aspects of violet and violet leaf are there, just more played down. They really just add the herbal/foresty qualities also more associated with a masculine marketed fragrance.

It is an interesting fragrance. The opening is quite impressive but on my skin it does not last long...it reminds me of Fahrenheit to some extent..i also get a hint of Narciso rodriguez for him in the opening but sadly that does not last for long....after the opening notes fade away it turns into a very close to skin scent with some woody/ambery texture..I know this is not for everyone..and dont blind buy it..do give it a try before doing so...for me it could have been a winner if it stayed on for a few more hours...Having said that I would give it a overall 6/10

Just finished my bottle, and wondering if I should purchase another. I really loved this stuff, and my hubby did too -- it's the only one he's really commented on.

I always thought this stuff reminded me of Skittles soaked in fruit juice -- it's just so sweet. There isn't a lot of lasting power to it, which is probably my biggest complaint, so I will probably hold off as it's not the cheapest juice out there.

I bought it a couple of years ago, as a gift for my ex boyfriend. He never liked it though, and since it reminded me of a unisex scent, I used it. On me the violet really comes through, but without being heavy, and it has a nice wooden finish. Somebody said: confident and strong, and I can only agree to that. It has a gentle strength to it, but is still on the feminine side (on my skin). After a while it doesn't really smell like perfume anymore, it blends really well with the skin and leaves a : I have been outside in the forest all day- freshness. :)

This should be bought for just the bottle alone. I love the smell of outside during the spring early summer. Especially after a rain so clear and clean and pure. This hits that perfectly. The smell of a connifer forest after a light down pour in late April. Perfect way to smell like the season without bathing in flowery citrus smells. Masculine and clean without being soapy and floral. It's what the mountain man would smell like after bathing in fresh mountain stream, trimming his beard with a shard of flint, and combing his hair down with a branch of a fir tree he snapped off with his own manly hands. Probably won't get many compliments because it's so different but it's a great wear for self fragrance.

DSQUARED2 is a company that makes pretty pricey clothes with a casual "outdoorsy" feel. They "look" lived in and once you try them...you WANT to live in them. They are really that comfortable and well-made. Their fragrances (at least the men's ones) are pretty similar, all things considered. This opens with a sweet, wet sort of feeling; almost like walking through a forest after it has poured down rain. Lush green leaves still sparkle with drops of water, as the sun returns and sweet cool violets shake off the rain and begin to warm. I wanted to say I thought I smelled the sheer green wateriness of cucumber here, but that could just be a copperhead lurking in the underbrush. As the leaves and flowers fade, a bit, it does become quite woody with cedar's distinctive aroma and a very grassy vetiver, adding a bit of dry greenness. This IS really woody; yet somehow the violets linger, but are never "too much", adding only hints of floweriness nowhere near as powdery as DIOR Homme's violets are. A very nice (non-cloying) vegetal sweetness in a very thick wooden frame. No citruses, no herbs and no heavy spices...just woods and woody scents, thick leaves and just the right amount of floweriness. The drydown of fir (pine), amber and musk is intriguing. The pungent sharpness of the balsam fir is balanced by the warm amber's resinous scent and a musk I can only define as "not too funky" and none too clean...just right! HE WOOD has all the loveliness of the "woods", but none of the dirtiness or earthiness. This is not the scent of a man who lives in and off the land, but one who appreciates its beauty and cannot help but sigh with wonder when standing on a cliff and breathing in the panorama of Nature's untouched beauty. Thank you to Dan and Dean (the Catenacci twins who ARE DSQUARED), this is great!!

Sillage: average
Longevity: good
Overall: 3.75/5

My very first impression of this was actually NR for Him goes hiking! It has a very subtle manly beauty that is less musky and spicy, and far more relaxed and "natural" feeling. HE Wood is a comfortable, down-to-earth no nonsense kind of fragrance. It is not trying to impress anyone...and THAT impresses me. It rather simple in its construction, but it really is the simple things in life that make me the happiest. The smell of the rain on the forest, the green of Nature and the warmth of the sun and rustle of the leaves in the breeze. I really think these two boys are on to something here...

I regret returning it. I think it's because I sprayed it on my hand and basically get intoxicated with it. Lol. I have to purchase some more. It's deffinately the beginning of something new. It's so intriuing and fresh. It's nature in a bottle.

He Wood shares quite a few similarities with both Fahrenheit (current formulation) and Cuir Pleine Fleur. Basically the violet leaf note that's pretty similar to the one in the above mentioned fragrances, but while Fahrenheit pushes on the accellerator with its characteristic uniqueness and Cuir Pleine Fleur introduces floral patterns and a bitter leather note achieving an extreme elegance and depth, He Wood turns into a vetiver and synthetic woods middle phase/drydown that's pretty pleasant yet not particularly interesting.

Overall the scent smells good and it's well executed but there are better options out there. Not bad.

Rating: 6.5/10

why am i always reminded of Fahrenheit whenever I put either this fragrance or Rocky Mountain Wood on?I guess it must be the violets but all the same it's a good enough fragrance for me but still prefer Rocky Mountain which has more interesting notes and lasts a longer time on my skin even after ive had a shower.

All the same I will give this a thumbs up though i can see not all will like the violets at play here.

So I purchased He Wood blindly because my female coworker raved about it. As a matter of fact 90% of my fragrances are blind purchases :o(

What about He Wood? Well, let me tell you what I get because I still don't know what certain notes smell like (accept tonka, amber and a couple of others). This smells like someone put a sweet glaze on a cucumber. This pretty much stays linear. It is sweet enough to be worn in colder weather but I honestly believe this is a spring maybe even warmer weather scent. It won't become cloying or overbearing in the heat, it may actually kick it up a notch. I am going to try it here on a summer day (TX) and see what I get.

Some people get the whole woodsy vibe I don't know much about nature or hiking but I guess it can smell like a damp forest or the smell of dew in a nature park I guess. Yes, it smells wet, woodsy like a beautiful spring day bike trail riding. Anyway that translates to sweet cucumber to me. I like it lot the staying power is long just minimal projection after a couple of hours, I think you can get away with spraying a little extra, the scent doesn't seem like heavier applications would make it too strong to me.

My goal was to find a new woody fragrance. My favorite woody scents from the old days are Zino Davidoff and Fahrenheit.

Went to the perfume store today and tested all three Dssquared woods on a strip. This one was my favorite of the three and the lovely lady made me a sample.

I really love the opening. All woody as I expected. But now, half an hour later there's not much wood left. I only get a fresh Anise-like scent. Not bad, but certainly not what I was looking for.

Looks like I'll have to go for the classic fragrances I mentioned above again if I wanna go woody all the way, hehe!

Edit: A few weeks later I got myself a bottle of Zino: yumyum!!

You are like a little torrent after the summer tempest in the woods, the air around you , well...woody and mossy and moist. This is the frag of a wet folly and wintery weekenday, dig this one out, it's all good!

I love the smell and the concept, I tend to ignore concepts, but this is a fresh, natural creation which feels relaxed. This makes me think of the cool, wet patch of a gorgeous swampland my brother and I found as kids, there was this odd, thick grass covering the tough, lumpy soil. I had no idea what the grass was called, all I knew was that it was the softest, coolest place to lay during summer.

I could have sworn banana wood was in there, but my girlfriend says she can smell cucumber.

Still, it's a beautiful scent. Up in my top 5

On my skin He Wood is very similar to Azzaro Now. If you like Azzaro Now, you can be sure, you will like this DSQUARED² too. If you mix Azzaro Now with some fresh and air scent like Kenzo Pour Homme Fresh, you can get an idea what is He Wood… the silage and lasting power are average/ i'm a little bit disappointed/, but i think He Wood is a great men fragrance. Good job DSQUARED²!

A watery woody-earthy scent to my nose. Chocolateguy couldn't have said it better: lack of "sexiness or hapeness or unique or dareness." I would choose Diesel Only the Brave instead, if I have to.

I love strolling through the woods in all the seasons, on these occasions I avoid to wear perfume at all, it would weaken my nose so I would miss the natures best perfume: the scent of narrow branches, broken by feet of man or animal, the layers of fir needles on the floor mixed with green leaves and some small flowers and fresh air.

With these ideas I tested He Wood while the sales lady looked sceptical at me (why shouldn't a woman like woodsy scents??) Well I like He Wood a lot, and I think some day in autumn or late summer I will buy it. It's the loveliest capturing of wood I ever encountered, it lacks completely the typical cheap-mens-aftershave-with-indistinct-wood note, so I feel it's pretty for both for ladies and men.

It's a wood shifting from wet, freshly cut wood to a more smoky dry wood scent, reminiscent of cut stems lying in the sun. The first hour I sense some white lilac, in fact the most true white lilac ever since it grows in our garden and cool white sand. Well it's the most natural smelling perfume, discreet and inoffensive, if my husband cared for perfumes I'd bought it for him, since he doesn't I'll have to wear that beauty for myself ;-)

Perfumer. Daphne Busey:

Countains: ozone, white fir, vegetal amber, musk, aquatic notes, violet blossoms and leves, vetiver and cedarwwod.

I fell inlove straight away when first sniffed, but, ey!, there was something about it that reminded me other well known juice straight away, so I decided to experiment and wait for reactions.
I made sniff my neck to every single friend of mine.
Conclusion: They thought it was KenzoAir with an aquatic nuance, just like me. I was not they only one though.

Both colognes share vetiver and cedar. I'm a fan of KenzoAir, but I have to admit this a way better cologne in my opinion.

He wood is a minimal fragrance: a dreamscape of a light scent of a forest breeze near a lake.
It provides a new step on “wood” accords— it's smooth, bleached woods floating on sweet, cool, lightly flower-scented water.

Starts kind of aquatic and ozonic, definitively synthetic but pure, just like a whisper, but with presence. So many people has remarked that the initial burst is alcohol like, but to my nose is like watery fresh clean cut light wood, a similar smell of a paper manifactured factory with a liquid quality..
The fir here it's no very evident, but, in a few minutes the perfume gets personality and body, I smell violet leaf, a beautiful violet flower note, mild vetiver and water notes that blends beautifully with the vetiver and cedar. There's altrough a nice ambient of forest and the previous watery soft accord remains gorgeous in the background.

It develops gorgeous and heady above yourself. It doesn't project grandly, but it's enough noticiable.

This is a dream of perfume, it's just the same atmosphere as KenzoAir without the aniseed.
It's funny how completely opposite essences can share close similarities.
He Wood is an alive dream, the scent of how a fairy forest would smell like. A new solution for those that like light woody fragrances with a different touch.
The longevity is average. No more than 4 hours.

They did a really great job making this smell like freshly cut wood... However, it also smells a lot like a teen fragrance from places like Abercrombie or American Eagle (while wearing this, someone actually asked me if I wearing Fierce) so you can imagine the turn off of a 26 year old sporting this stuff. He Wood is rather long lasting, but isn't very projecting. I am interested in trying the Rocky Mountain Wood seeing how it seems to be a darker, more projecting version of this... maybe it wouldn't be as high school smelling.

I love D'Squared He Wood! The first time I took a sniff of it, I just had to get it right then & there.

It's a very cool yet sophisticated scent. You can use it on those easy days & on special occasions.

It's one of my favorites & one of those scents that I'll never grow tired of.

Had plenty of compliments after wearing this fragrance. It is a nice mixture of dry woods, violet leaves, with a light powdery finish. The vetiver and cedar in the middle notes are very long lasting. This is perfect for the cold season. This has very good longevity.
A good 9/10

have you ever cut a piece of narrow branch from a tree and try to smell the middle of it?it's the best way to describe he wood.
at the first sniff it smells like cucumber and wood.It smells really fresh and airy.it should be violet leaf.it has some similarities with Daisy by Marc Jacobs at the first sniff and in daisy violet leafs exists too.
by the way vetiver appears soon, giving it warm and more manly scent.
this is a very light, juvenescence and refreshing fragrances.I think it's more suitable for younger audiences.I like the way it doesn't smell like the common colognes I know, but it's a bit too light for my nose;just fresh wood and cucumber.the other edition is more noticeable and intense.
by the way I like this new company very much;innovative and smart.DSQUARED 2 rules.

Went to a The Bay ... ie Canadian Macy's lol :P ... The lady at the counter told me to try it.

The top notes are awesome! I was like wow! A freshy ozony woodsy scent.

The mid notes were ok...

I was waiting for the base notes... Somehow it has a soapy, powdery finish. I don't like. Reminds me of Dove soap with flowers... I don't like.

Too bad the top notes aren't the base ones. It would have been awesome.

I do not understand it one bit...It smells wonderful in the bottle, but when you wear it there is no lasting power......My boss sniffs me daily to smell what I am wearing and she swore I was wearing dial soap and no colonge. I then had a friend try it and I have tried it many more times and it just doesnt last on anyone I know who has tried it. I really LOVE the way it smells in the bottle, but sadly no lasting power.

At first sniff I had dismissed this as a generic masculine woody scent , however , after waiting , just like the experts tell us to do , I found that there was more to this scent then meets the sniffer. It is capturing the elements one finds in the forest woods , leaves , some blossoms and moisture and it does a good job of it. I found that the woods clung to the very end not leaving it wimpy in the drydown phase.

My favorite at the moment! The opening is watery herbaceous, with pretty cucumber nuances (violet leaf).. then light and earthy vetiver appears. The mix of violet leaf and vetiver is perfect! A modern interpretation of good old vetiver scents. Very light, but long lasting.
