He Wood Silver Wind Wood DSQUARED² for men

The worst of He Wood line so far. I've also tried original He Wood and Rocky Mountain, as well as Potion.
I love Rocky mountain and Potion. Original He Wood is also great. This one was a disappointment.

If you have a seroius need for a powdery fragrance you might like this. But I would recommend Jaïpur Pour Homme EDP.

This is amazing, seriously. A slightly sweaty, smokey, softly-spiced ode to lumberjacks. To me, it is the ultimate compliment to skin. It smells like body heat sweetened and spiced to perfection. It's hard to describe this, it's the perfect blend of woods and spices that smell a little worn-in, if you will. It has an interesting way of smelling both sweaty and slightly clean from the herbal elements. This is everything a mens cologne need be, and as a woman I think it's totally wearable in minimal amounts.

Smells like a lighter and slightly fresher Dior Fahrenheit absolute for the first few seconds, but then quickly dries down into a warm wood base with a hint of incense, vanilla and some metallic notes. A lovely, subtle scent that keeps close to the skin; recommended for those times when you wish or need to keep a low profile and fit in without disappearing completely.

This is, hands down, the male equivalent of Kenzo Amour, with a much softer latex accord. Which also means that, if so inclined, a dude can definitely rock Amour without hesitation, as far as I'm concerned.

i can smell lavender, sage and incense from the first one hour, then incense,vetiver and amber smell throughout the day. after the whole day work, the shirt/body still smell very ambery and incensy.nice scent ! and oh yeah smell really WOOD ! nice bottle nice design, worth for collection.

A dark, mysterious scent which is very intense on the skin and has very good longevity....

0-5 mins- Something different and stands out.

5 mins- 4 hours. Projection ok, strong scent which is quite medicinal, earthy and piercing. Perhaps this scent has tried a little too hard to be unusual and dark and so some may think this is like disinfectant. Projection approx 6 inches

4 hours - 9 hours. Morphes into 90% Lalique Encre Noire. This is the best bit of the experience and it gets more and more intense on the skin, in fact it really beats a strong beat on the skin, but projection is only ok. Dark and mysterious.

An experience, I can't see how the name "Silver Wind Wood" applies here? more like "Black Sap Wood"

Finally got a good deal on a 100ml EDT and bought it. I wore this today and after say 1-2 hours I thought to myself how very simular this smells to Jil Sander Man Absolute and I already own that.
Although simular to Jil sander Man Absolute, Siver Wind has a metallic kick with it on the opening. On the whole a good Autumn/Winter fragrance. One for the cold weather for sure.

This one is surprisingly sweet and feminine, yet still recognisable as a male scent. Not to everyone's taste, as also shown by the voting, and even a bit dirty. For this reason, it could appeal to those guys who search for an "Obsession" for the 2010s.

Conclusion: It seems as if those vanilla fragrances for men are finally en vogue, and that's good news.

It's between the one gentleman and burberry london,a spicy vanilla woody warming scent.
Nutmeg in top play the most important role with vanilla background before that woods kick in.
Great casual fall and winter smell.
Longevity 9+ hours and very good projection.

Woody and spicy with a good clean vanilla undertone. This is not too strong and overwhelming which is good, and it has great lasting power.

Another good and credible fragrance from DSquared.

Tested it today on my skin. Well this is actually the best DSQ fragrance from the men collection, especially in the lasting power. It's silvery, woodsy, spicy, perfect for autumn and winter. It is safe and unique at the same time, quite interesting.

A Oriental Rocky Mountain, no doubt about that! The incense and the amber in the base is the diferential, the projection and longevity is better too, so? Other amazing frag from Dsquared! Loved it!!!!

Although it is not a bad fragrance, I will make second and third thoughts to buy it.
It starts very nice, woody and gives you the feeling that you are cutting trees with the chainsaw in the afternoon were the humidity is at the max and the sun goes to "sleep"....After that very masculine and woody boughet, the musk starts to rise accompanied with the nutmec. Here you are starting thinking what is going on and where is that very masculine and woody top note which last only a few minutes....and finally, the vanilla dominates the whole story....a lot of vanilla, sweet, very sweet that tends towards femine. The distance between the top notes and the base notes are miles away although you realize that is the same perfume but from the woody masculine begining, to the vanillic, slightly powdery and very sweet ending. It is a pity that this fragrance is not keeping that very nice top note longer and up to the end. Basically, this is a sweet vanilla with little cedar and vetiver....I was disappointed by the perfume trip although the start was very promising. A woody fragrance like that which has the name also, has to be a woody fragrance from top to bottom, not woody and finally sweet vanilla!

Yes! Ten points to Slytherin for a perfectly brewed potion!


Ok, back on earth now.
I waited so impatiently for this one and for so long [over two months after the release date and STILL it's not available in any perfumery!], finally I decided to buy it blindfold. And I'm so happy that I took the risk ;]

It's adorable.
At first - sharp and juniper-like [I guess it's the sage and lavender effect]; changes into more and more woody and dry. Somewhere in the background, slightly hidden stays amber and incense smoke. Base becomes herbal [juniper] and sharp again, like a good gin. I also love this misty, humid [but not typically watery] effect.

The best from the whole Dsquared2 perfume line by now.

Although, most of Wood series are week in longevity, this one gives you a nice opportunity to experience that moment of being told "you smell perfect" or being asked "excuse me, what did you wear today?!"

I sprayed it on my wrist on 6pm. Now it's 1:28 am and it's still here!?! I did the dishes, I cooked FISH! I washed my hands twice... but it's still here. Smellable but not strong enough to spread.

It opens so so so unique that I cannot mention any example. It's extremely herbal and dark dark dark green. I don't know what kind of incense is among notes, but I'm sure that its strange pattern is from incense. Neither sage nor lavender cannot presents like this. Perfect for spring and not even for summer. In hot weather it turns a little bit sour and lose bitterness. In case of sweating you'll vaporize it!
It smells elegantly and chic, strange, and casual. For young men under 35 and extremely casual.
It can be called the harsher and stronger version of Rocky Mountain Wood but not in opening, it's opening is something extraordinary and supernatural!
It starts extremely smoky that I haven't seen before, and as it goes, it's smokiness becomes stronger and stronger. At the middle (one hour later) you can smell just an immensely woody and smoky odor.

10/10 for scent
9/10 for longevity (but I think something's wrong, WOOD collection generally are weak in lasting)
8/10 for projection

I just got this perfume from Bloomingdales. At first sniff I wasnt impressed with it. I smelled nothing new and exciting. But after some time it started growing on me more and more. It incensy woody floral accord is very prominent. It has the similar vibe of the Rocky mountain wood but has more musky-incensy feel to it. Im enjoying this creation more and more. Very unique as it dries down and is also very versatile. The longevity is great. And I really love the bottle design. Great job DSQUARED2 as usual.

A quick sniff as I was passing thru a fragrance department at Bloomingdale: this scent is light and incensey wood. It has something tea-like and clean and I am not sure what. Also it does have something silvery metallic character but in a good way. It reminds me of a little bit of these fellowing fragrances (as far as the first impression goes); Lalique Encre Noire, Bvlgari Extreme, Bvlgari Soir, and Rocky Mountain. I may be wrong but again I only spent just a few minutes with it. To me my favorite is still the Rocky Mountain.

Saw this in Douglas today, finally and was it worth the wait!! Signature wood smell hits you straight away as i've become accustomed to with DSquared. A massive improvement on their last effort, the poor Ocean Wet Wood. Similar to the first one but more grown up! A must for a fan of this range!

I was really looking forward to smelling this as i absolutely love Rocky mountain road. I think it is one of the most under-rated scents available. When i saw this in Harvey nicks, i sprayed it waiting for the wonderful notes of incense,sage and musk to fill my senses...however, unfortunately all i got was the smell of a tweed jacket that smells of body odour that has been left in a charity shop. If anyone knows what i mean by the 212 sexy body odour smell you will understand.

Like most fresh, silver or metallic fragrances, this is lovely on paper, but once applied to my skin the top notes fade away in minutes.
My skin loves deep, warm scents obviously, just like my nose does...
The good thing though: a little while later the middle and base notes kick in and then the woody scent takes over. They keep a fresh vibe from the top notes, so the name of the fragrance really makes sense.

I prefer the original He Wood over this one, that's for sure, but the two make a good summer / winter combo.
