Canoe by Dana is a oriental spicy fragrance for women. Canoe was launched in 1935. The nose behind this fragrance is Jean Carles. Top notes are lavender, clary sage and lemon; middle notes are carnation, patchouli, bourbon geranium and cedar; base notes are tonka bean, musk, vanilla, oakmoss and heliotrope.

Canoe - a classic spicy oriental with an unexpected herbaceous drydown to a sensual and long lasting base - was a staple frragrance in the USA during the 50's and 60's. Advertised as a sportif perfume, it has a bracing lavender/lemon top note, woody floral heart, and musky vanilla base.
Well worth a try! Usually inexpensive and a unique perfume suitable for unisex wearers. Don't miss the yachting flags on the box/bottle!
