Signature for Her by David & Victoria Beckham

add reviewI can pick out the individual notes but to me it all blends to smell like vibrant berries with an underlying sweetness and the musk adding softness. Or at least that's how I like to think of it being a berry fan. I don't smell any anise which is great because I'm NOT an anise fan and had my doubts with anise being one of the first notes listed.
After the initial burst Signature steadies with a bit more musk, but not too much, the main notes remain strong for some time. Good lasting power. Really glad to have it! Thanks Triplex for sending this my way! :D

After a few minutes, it dies down, thankfully, and reveals other notes, predominantly vanilla and orchid. I can still smell the apple note, but barely. And there's some musk and a little amber in there as well. I'm not sure where I'm smelling this powder, but I also smell something very powdery, and that's not a bad thing at all. The orchid note is very beautiful.
I really like this fragrance, but only after 5 minutes, when that yucky sour green apple note goes away. The lasting power is quite good, I find, and I like it even more-so after I layer it with it's matching body products. All in all, a very nice, soft, powdery fragrance.
I really like the top and base notes, but I'm not sure about the sweet gourmand middle (I can't catch an orchid note), probably it's not my type of scent (although I love Chopard 'Wish'). I like hers first two perfumes more, but it would be really nice to have this and wear it occasionally.
So, if you're into these Angel-wannabes, you should try this more-fruity-gourmand-than-chypre-floral fragrance.
p.s. I don't like the flower prints on the bottle at all.

However, with that being said, the fragrance itself does not have the 'wow factor'. It's rather cheap and generic, which for the price tag is not something that you would expect.
I really loved her first two fragrances for women, but this one doesn't appeal to me what-so-ever. The apple note is really strong, yet it's not as well done as perhaps DKNY Be Delicious or Ralph by Ralph Lauren. In this fragrance the apple note is sour and nauseating.
I don't think that the choice to advertise this fragrance as being elegant and sophisticated was the right choice. This perfume would be better suited to a younger crowd and should be re-bottled and re-advertised to appeal to such a crowd.
I've tried it on my skin and I've found that the composition doesn't change so much by the time, and it is quite long-lasting.
I still don't know to buy it or not, because it is a kinda scent I like (sweet and tender) and it's cheap but the problem with it is that it's a bit boring one, no one turns the head after it I think.
Indeed, the bottle is very beautiful, sophisicated, magical, it touches my senses... it seems like an inherited piece of my grandmother's treasures.

I totally agree with Nebraska...if you like Lolita Lempicka, With Love Hillary Duff or Aqualina's Pink Sugar(all favorites of mine too), this perfume will be right up your alley. Good staying power, and the lotion/shower cream are nice too. The bottle is very pretty (my fave color!)

It opens with a sweet candy/licorice note, and dries down to a soft incensey-patchouli aroma. Some reference points that might help: smells like Hillary Duff With Love stacked on the Cabaret de Gres drydown.
If you enjoy other anise/licorice fragrances like Lolita Lempicka, With Love Hillary Duff or Aqualina's Pink Sugar or Blue Sugar (all favorites of mine), this perfume will be right up your alley. It's not a particularly original scent, but it is a nice one. Good staying power, too.
Just can't stand this woman, and tired of seeing and hearing 'Beckham' everywhere, though these days everything's less loaded with this name.
No offence, to anyone , who, likes this perfume, I think in perfume industry image plays quite major role(see the line of celebrity perfumes disapearing on the horizon). When I buy or use perfume it is not only scent experience.. it is Experience in general, and if I pay for it, I'd like to love every aspect of it..perfume industy is so chimeric. Remember Jade's perfumes..where are they now? nobody cared they were just scents smeling good
