Fragrantica has it wrong. On Posh and Beck's official site they list the legit notes and it's not green apple, it's candy apple and you can definitely smell this, is slightly sweet, powdery and soft spicy with hint of vanilla.
I like this one, the green apple note is very noticeable and recognizable in the beginning. I normally do not like apple in a fragrance as it reminds me of air freshener, but here it is done with class and not cheap appley smelling. The apple note is nicely tempered by an underlying patchouli, I personally love patchouli and most fragrances that have it in, I am nearly guaranteed to like! and I'm happy to say this is no exception.
This is very reminiscent of Sarah Jessica Parkers' 'Endless' from the lovely collection. I don't think it was one of her most popular but I personally loved it! All in all a classy scent appropriate for any time, only down side is lasting power on me was quite weak. Something which 'Endless' certainly does not suffer from! xxx
i love the smell of this... while it lasts.. honestly smells like a great perfume for about half an hour then it completely disappears!
This is quite fruity in a general sort of way,but yet has an underlying masculinity. It's long-lasting,and it projects very well. I like the flowers on the bottle, and the purple juice inside. It's very affordable, too. Basically, this stuff is great!
I wanted to try this for a long time. And finally i did but it didn't blow me away. It's nice and easy to wear scent. Light and airy. In the drydown there is something like a candle wax note which i also smell in Christina Aquilera and Bruno Banani. I guess it belongs to drugstore scents. And this only note is destroying everything for me. Beside apple doesn't go good with patchouli here. It lasts about 4 hours on me and works perfect in warm environment.
I've just received this in a swap. Like I always mention, Beckham's should be respected for what they've produced in the celebrity scent market.
This fragrance starts off a bit strong, after that it is a pretty, sweet, perfumey scent, with a touch of masculinity. It's not my favorite of the Beckham range that I've tried, but I don't dislike it either.
very nice smell. nothing too overpowering and in my opinion perfect if you don't want to stand out.
This is stunningly sexy. apple and anise mixed together makes for a fresh yet spicy aroma. Its strong for an EDT.
The vanilla, patchouli and amber peeks through, well isn't that the recipe for class (as with the angel perfumes).
Job well done by Posh, it is a hit with me. :)
Made my month.
I just love this scent, I wore it for few teenage years and the scent suited me just perfectly......but this time, I'm looking for something different, it's time to change.
I didn't expect to like it. The first smell I thought, oh okay this is sort of an ordinary smell...nothing to knock me off my feet.
Lately I've noticed when I'm first experiencing a scent I look for possible smells I don't like in it...rather than what I like. If I don't find anything in it that causes a headache or ill reaction then I give it another try.
The more I used this one the more I like it... I didn't really want to like it this much! But this purple beauty really likes me!! The floral combo mixed with the soft vanilla, creates a soft powdery scent. Lasts about 4 hours. On my skin this "ordinary" fragrance is extraordinary!
I love love love this perfume, victoria beckham perfumes for me are fantastic, each one smells expensive, and also i find each one smells different as alot of perfumes to me smell the same.I actually got this one as a gift,a huge 75ml bottle which my friend paid £13 for,its starts off strong and then settles to a stunning creamy like scent, that lasts for hours. Also on my skin its one of the only ones that other people can smell. Will always have this perfume in my home
Cheap Junk, floral, doesn't last, ok for young girls.
I love this fragrance, I always make sure i have a bottle in the house.
Firstly, it smells expensive.
I cant smell any star anise or apple....I smell the perfect mix of vanilla, amber, heliotrope and the most delicious blend of spices.
It smells, strong and womanly, it smells like what a boss lady would wear. It doesnt smell sweet or cute, it smells like a woman who means business.
I dont get anything powdery until at least 4 hours wear and its subtle, warm....almost creamy.
Please dont turn your nose up and do yourself a favour and give this a go, you will be suprised.
My first review ever. I recieved this for Christmas this year actually wanting the pink bottle (intimately - because it smells so much like Pure Poison but so much less expensive). So I was a little disapointed when I recieved this but I am now delighted. I'm fairly new to perfumes and not great at picking out notes but to me I can detect the apple and the vanilla maybe a little patchoulli. There is a lovely warm spicyness and sweetness that I love and gives this scent an edge. I agree with the notion that it is slightly masculine but this seems to agree with me. Overall this is something I have been addicted too for the past week, it's high summer here and this fume seems to work well in the heat. Glad my sister got the wrong perfume, only $15 a bottle too.
Just wanted to add that I have no interest in celebrity following especially not the Beckhams.
I'm genuinely surprised how remarkably pleasant this fragrance is.. I didn't like the fragrance notes composition, and but it all works out, much to my amazement. A scent that embodies floral, and fruit and just the right amount of spice to anchor it. Not too sweet or heavy, not too spicy or strong_
= sophistication at an affordable price. A surprising gem for a Celebrity fragrance.
I absolutely adore Signature. Mysterius, sexy, strong, sweet, elegant and long lasting
Signature is a really wonderful classy perfume.
I have tested this numourous times and really like it. It starts of with strong star anise and apple, which is a little sharp but it settles to a lovely amber/vanilla with a little musk. It sometimes does smell masculine. I can imagine a smartly dressed business woman wearing this. It lasted about 4 hours on my skin.
Overall, a sophisticated day or night perfume that is different to other celebrity perfumes I've tried. If you like fruity florals with a slightly masculine twist, then it's perfect for you!
Saw this at Shoppers today for $20. Sprayed liberally under my shirt. The beginning confused me. Floral? yes, some. Chypre? Somewhat. Powder? not as much. Masculine? Yes, in the bottom notes. Had to check the box to make sure it was for women. (The bottle design equates the $20 range and could be unisex enough) After an hour, I can smell creamy vanilla for sweetness and a smaller ratio of patchouli. While it is powdery and floral, there is something there that makes it masculine. Whatever that is, it is distinct enough for this fume to be unisex. There is also something slightly piercing to my nose, something spicy. For the price, it's a good generic scent to wear for the office but if you're looking for something unique, keep looking.
On me,
Sillage: a foot with trail
Longevity: at least four hours
Rating: 3/5 only coz I'm looking for something unique
Update: Wouldn't you know it…hubby rated this a 9/10. He really likes it so I got a bottle to wear just for him!
Don't like it. There's something in this fragrance that smells weird, I think it's the anise (almost every scent with anise smells terrible on my skin) I gave it away :)
scent sits in a very long time, a large plus.it is lovely and fits me perfectly as day perfume.
I absolutely love this perfume. I can't believe it took me this long to try the Beckham fragrances. It is sweet, spicy with dark patchouli. It is the perfect fall and winter scent. The patchouli is done right and does not scream at you and hit you in the face. It is super sexy and a major compliment grabber. Lasts forever too. Love love!
Its a bit too strong for my skin, so I spray on my clothes... its smells so noce and refreshing... makes me feel confident and happy...
I heard it kindda smells like cologne on me but.. I like it. It's fresh, summery, just lovely and light.
I've waited quite a while to review Signature For Her after (blindly) buying it in July, and I was neither sure I could write something interesting/useful about this fragrance because, being totally sincere, it left me cold and confusedly disappointed: notes sound good, there’s something very appealing about the orchid-vanilla-heliotrope combo in the heart, but at least to me the whole fragrance doesn’t seem to work that well.
As first, I don’t know if it’s the noticeable apple in the opening (slightly sour and candyish at the same time) or the star anise, but this could have easily been marketed to men and nobody probably would have complained about that. Not that I particularly fancy those categorizations, but some reviewers before nailed it when they said this smells like an aftershave or a masculine cologne, alas not something I appreciate in a female fragrance that's supposed to have a sensual and refined mood (see the ads).
Ok, let’s pass over the top notes: Signature For Her becomes quite enjoyable after about half an hour, when the powderness of heliotrope and orchid seems to dominate the scene… but, here too, there’s something like a strong and very artificial note that sometimes turns a bit weird, making me think of dusty plastic fruits and flowers with whiffs of synthetic vanilla and generic spices. Is it due to the orchid+apple accord maybe? I do love some artificial chypre accords (Gucci Rush, I’m talking about you!), and I do enjoy spraying myself sweet/gourmand masculine stuff sometimes (Black XS, Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin), so probably this is just a scent that’s not in my chords for some reasons. The idea was promising (kind of a fruity, crispy, sweet powderness) but still it seems like the fragrance lacks something and it exceeds in something else.. a more pronounced heliotrope and/or vanilla and a lighter star anise, at least for my tastes, would have probably made this one more pleasant and balanced.
Sillage and longevity are pretty good for an EDT, and this is surely a plus for those who love it: Signature For Her is quite a noticeable fragrance but still it remains discrete, as for me I tend to wear it mostly during daytime at work now that it's Fall here and I feel it's pretty suitable for that.
I’m not used to discourage in my reviews, and this time I would just say: try before you buy. I paid 14,90 Euro for a 50 ml, a great deal, but unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. Nonetheless, as I admit it's a nice fragrance (my friends and relatives like it and that's a good thing for sure), I will be wearing until I run out of it, hoping I will start to appreciate it more in the meanwhile :)
The first time I sprayed this on I thought oriental, possibly the star anise with only a hint of apple. The vanilla starts to come through after a few minutes and e entually on dry down the patchouli and musk and amber begin to linger. I love Intimate and half expected signature to be somewhat similar. They are too very different fragrances. I'm not exactly disappointed but not sure if this slightly masculine fragrance works for me. But then on the upside I only paid $19 so it will be a stand by for spraying when I'm at home and feel like a bit of fragrance
This is a lovely perfume. I stumbled upon it in T.J. Maxx/Homegoods. It was a gift set and quite a steal. I really like the fragrance and get compliments on it. Personally, I feel it's more suited to the colder months. It's a great scent and this was surprising to me. A delicious, sexy scent. While it's stronger than some, I can use a heavy hand and it only makes me feel better.
this doesn't really come through as chypre scent-I immediately think oriental when I smell this. When I first tried it, when it first came out, at Macy, I got somewhat sweet oriental with powder note. I thought it was nice but didn't want to pay over $50. well, I was at TJ Maxx yesterday and saw this for 14.99-sold!
Oh, dear, was I dissapointed-when you first spray it, its very masculine. So much so that I went and checked the box again to make sure that I didn't accidentally got the men's version. After it mellows out a bit, its still smells almost unisex. I can definately see a guy wearing this.
Its heady and heavy which I like but at the same time, it lays really close to your skin and doesn't project well. Some people may like this but I don't because I like to leave a trail of scent. Hmm..
Also, its not sweet enough for my taste as I prefer less spice and more sweetness. Someone said "incense/patchouli"-yes, I think that's an apt description. I really don't get orchid, its all about the bottom notes
All in all, I am not very thrilled with this. I can't say that I totally dislike this but to me, this is "ok". I would wear it but its definately not my favorite.
Bottle is gorgerous by the way, I wish I like scent as much
It starts out with a burst of apple, then it settles to a powdery yet creamy musk, vanilla and patchouli (with a hint of anise) on my skin :) It's ridiculously cheap and I'm growing more and more fond of it every day!
Silage is 6-8 hours! Bam! I think I've just found my work fragrance ;)
i got mine today... the opening is sweet, the spices and amber is very prominent
however patchouli is somehow got lost there.. a lovely scent though :)
after awhile... the ending note is a bit powdery on me, cant say i dislike it or love it
I know Grape isn't listed as an ingredient but I definitely smell some grape here....maybe it's the colour of the bottle :)
Lovely but I disagree with the scent group it's an as being a 'chypre'-this is definitely an Oriental scent.I'm even more surprised it has apple as a top note-strangely I get none of that but plenty of the patchouli, vanilla, amber and orchid.Very nice and would love a full sized bottle.
Received a sample of this from a cosmetic company. I just love the scent. Lovely and not overpowering. I frequently have male co workers tell me I smell nice and a few femail co workers who love the smell of this in my hair. It isn't expensive and travels well. A must in my perfume collection.
it is not cheap,it is so beautiful fragrances
I can smell apple, and signature is so so yummy!
apple note so delicious!!! Not cheap, very posh as Victoria Beckham
I have to laugh at the people who get all snooty and say "this perfume smells cheap"...
yeah, whatever... if you are such an aristocrat, why are you wasting your time with perfume that isn't sold at Harrod's anyways?
I REALLY like this perfume. The sour apple, though not so very prominent, is a wonderful "garnishment" to this deep and sensual fruity/plummy yummy frag.
This develops over time too, which I like. The patchouli is low key. Which I'm okay with. Sensuous Noir has a Patchouli-PUNCH-YOUR-FACE sort of kick to it. Which I also love, but don't need in another fragrance.
This reminds me of the thick, syrupy-ness of CK Euphoria, but is different enough from that such that I actually plan on buying a bottle of this.
I can not detect the star anise, which is a relief to me since I don't care for it usually. The orchid is exactly as I'd hoped, and probably what reminds people of E.L. Sensuous Noir... (after the patch leaves the building!).
The amber/musk in this also gives this an accent that is different from other perfumes that are in this "neighborhood" like: E.L. Sensuous Noir, CK Euphoria, Avon Imari Seduction, Chopard Happy Spirit, DKNY Delicious Night Donna Karan (without the soapyness), and Givenchy's Play For Her Intense...
The lasting sweet confectioner's sugar powder dry down is devine and slow-dances lazily with the seductive amber/musk and really makes me want to bury my OWN head in my OWN bosom! Ah... if only!
Seriously, for the price ($19.75 on eBay for a 2.5 oz!!!)... I'm probably gonna have a bottle (or 3) of this around all the time.
Big hearty thanks to VB for being a part of an offering of such a delightful quality potion to fit easily within a working girls's budget!
Sillage: 10
Longevity:10
Affordability: 10
Sexiness: 10
Uniqueness: 6 (it really is similar to a lot of others, but the apple makes it a little different than the rest so, rather than a 4, I bumped it up a bit.)
My new favorite~
Cheers!
This perfume is so lovely. I've read somewhere that it smells a bit cheap and I can see where this opinion may come from - the initial powerful blast of sweetness made me think the same. But I let it rest and it was worth it - flowery and feminine but in that strong way which makes you think of a queen rather than a princess. Very beautiful.
wow. i love this perfume. i feel like i could wear this everyday. i don't mind being complimented every hour. my husband who dislikes patchouli (and i as well) couldn't really detect that note in this perfume, and my husband always keeps leaning in, saying i smell so good. this review is all coming from a dupe roll-on that cost me 1.79 from a website, and for any perfume to last at least two hours on my skin and cost that little, THAT is a good deal.
I will have to agree - when I first sprayed this on me all I smelled at first was anise... and then after it dries down you can smell the vanilla and amber with the musk. I really did not get a floral smell from this fragrance for me. But overall I do like this one.
Fantastic floral perfume,love it :-)
I have it as a gift, the bottle looks beautiful but unfortunately I find it average and insignificant. The opening isn't that bad: a little sour and fruity. The fragrance then quickly turns to a sweet synthetic smell, pretty linear from then onward.
I was suprised how much a loved thid fragrance. First it seemed to be similar to Miracle Forever or 212 Sexy, but after a few minutes the spicy-piquant liquorice came out on my skin - and no apples or too much of berries fortunatelly. It is sweet but so lovely and this is a fume by D. and V. Beckam! I definetely love it - an the bottle is nice and elegant, too.
Update: yes, the initial notes are more than beautiful on my skin. Th eproblem is that after a few hours the drydown becomes too masculine on my skin - it's all about my body-chemistry, I guess. I'm so sorry I can't wear this.... but that drydown smells really horrible on me.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PERFUME! It's fresh, girly and most of all sexy! Just a little spritz lasts all day, the vanilla and green apple stand out the most to me. I love this so much, though it can be a little overbearing if you're going to be in close quarters for an extended period of time. absolutely amazing though, perfect for any season.
I'm surprised there are no red fruits in the notes listed, as that's what I mainly get (blackberries). The candied apple and vanilla give it some sweetness. Fortunately the anise/patchouli combination gives it kind of a sharp edge. It's like a harsh version of Hugo Deep Red, it lacks sophistication. The composition is interesting, and it does smell quite unique, but it's just not it. It tries too hard to be sexy.
i love it, i love the way it smells slightly masculine and i think anything by victoria beckham is gonna be good :) my mum loves joop and i think this would make a great present for her as someone says its like a feminine version.
Ahh I'm in fragrance heaven! What a surprise this perfume is! I was initially wanting to test Beckham Signature Story but it was far too floral/powdery for my taste. On the way out I spritzed a bit of this on my arm.
The initial spray was fresh Apple. As I was driving home I caught the most gorgeous scent of dark fruits and thought wow this is nice! When I reached home it had morphed into the stunning scent of creamy vanilla, patchouli and amber.
It is a combination of my 3 favourite fragrances!! (Lolita Lempicka, With Love - HIlary Duff and Fancy Nights - Jessica Simpson) It's fresh yet sexy at the same time. If you like any of those 3 perfumes, you just have to try this!
I especially love Fancy nights but it can be a bit too full on sometimes especially with the heavy patchouli. The drydown of Fancy nights is what I love best but it takes a while for it to get there.
Signature for Her gets to that same delightful dry down a lot faster and the patchouli isn't as "in your face" it's simply perfect. Added in is the extra element of anise, which makes it even more special. I can't comment on the lasting power yet.
Well...guess what I'm buying a full bottle of later today? Yes this!
Very SEXY Perfume.....I love it and so do all my male friends
Disgusting; even worse it smells cheap! The first time I wore it I showered twice to wash it off me. I've always admired Victoria and respected her educated sense of style, hence why my expectations were so high. Unfortunately; the Beckham fragrance is a miss for me.
I actually am growing to love this one! I woke up during the night and couldn't fall back asleep so I visited my dear Fragrantican's reviews. I tried this one on to see if I would re-purchase (i have the 50 ml e.d.t.) and i believe i will! It is not overly strong, slightly fruity , warm and comforting. The orchid stands out when the anise fades and gives it a depth that is rendered fruity by the apple. I could swear there is a caramel note in here or maybe just the combo of vanilla , patchouli and amberish drydown. I give it a 8 for it's beautiful Euphoria-like scent but unfortunately, it has little projection and lasting power on me.... Will update but i definitely love!
Feel the same as dilita. It's so sweet and long lasting. Love it!
To me this is a "dark fruity" type a scent. Another type of dark fruity scent to me is Euphoria which I think is a little similar to this one is regards to the fruit with strong orchid notes. I loved this the first time I put this on.
It gave me a headache once and my love settled into just a like after that. You know how it is.
It´s fruity but after some time it turns to vanilla. It´s nothing WOW! but nice smell.
Signature starts with a blast of patchouli on me.
After a few minutes I can smell a very green apple note coming along and taking lead for about an hour.
Here and there I get faint whiffs of anise but this note is rather shy on my skin.
I can hardly detect any vanilla or heliotrope but a soft nuance of orchid is slowly showing its beauty.
After more than an hour of wearing I smell mainly patchouli.
The apple is still there but it is no longer the most prominent note on my skin.
The lasting power is incredible - 8 plus hours and I can still smell the perfume!
Signature projects really well, too.
This perfume seems to develop differently on many people but on me there is no sweetness overload - the scent is just mainly patchouli with plenty of freshness - a modern chypre I am proud to wear.
Newly discovered fragrances rarely replace my old favourites but this one is definitely close to my top 10 and I will repurchase it once my current bottle is finished.
11 stars!
I just bought it and had great expectations! Unfortunately, I was a little bit dissapointed. It is an ordinary perfume with a poor lasting power on me!
this scent doesnt work for everyone. its the kind where you only need 2 sprays and your good. its lasted about 6 hours on me and i got a lot of compliments on it. smells like green apples. good for the wimter
I had a bottle when I started my perfume adventure. Now I have a sample I've left for myself. At first I loved it and I still think, not being a particular lover of celebrity scents, that this one is interesting and quite well done. Again, too much patchouli made me wave the bottle good bye, because I hate masculine notes on me. The star anise and apple and the heart notes are great, I have to admit.
Lasting power is good.
Guh. This is awful. Really can't find any redeeming qualities to it, it's sickeningly sweet, way too strong, headache-inducing, artificial and generic-smelling vanilla floriental. It's too vanilla, too sharp AND too sweet, all at once. It's kind of like a masculine scent with a ton of grapey syrup poured in. And good luck trying to scrub it off.
This starts off one way on me and then turns another. It started off smelling like apple and licorice then it morphed into orchid with powder and stayed that way. It has a touch of masculine aroma to it. This could turn sour and musty on some people and to tell you the truth, I am not sure if I smell good in it. I love the delicate orchid and powder and how it lingers but not sure how it is perceived by others. I have sometimes felt nauseated with it but only sometimes. I am going to keep trying with this because I think it has potential to be a really enjoyable perfume. I love when you get to wear a perfume that starts one way and ends another it's almost like you got 2 for the price of one! Some perfumes are so boring they start one way and nothing ever happens then they vanish. This one at least doesn't do that.
Yeah,I would say - is very nice .First when You spray it - its like very strong, but when it drying down, its amazing, like powdery vanilla, and its really lasting for me a long time!
I happen to stumble across this at my local TJMaxx, it was a gift set with the lotion and shower cream on a clearance rack for $15! I thought wow, good deal. Took out of box to spritz little bit on hand to make sure I like. It was pretty good (so I thought) and was ready to buy it then started smelling a strong offensive smell coming from my hand. So put it back. Now at home like literally 4 hours later and ever after scrubbing my hand like 3 times, it still gives off this STRONG sickening odor! I swear it's getting stronger! It gave me a bad headache too. The bottle was pretty and that's about it!
I know this is a love or hate fragrance for most, but it's definitely a LOVE fragrance for me! Beckham Signature has this unique, almost cologne scent with a hint of sweetness. When you first spray Beckham Signature, you get a burst of fruity florals mixed with that spicy scent, which later dries down to a spicy vanilla scent. I personally really like this perfume, it smells sophisticated and mysterious and the bottle is gorgeous! Beckham Signature lasts about 4-5 hours on me, which is pretty good considering this is an eau de toilette and fragrances usually don't last very long on my skin. Overall a very nice perfume, I highly recommend it for fans of more sophisticated, spicy scents.
Grape cough syrup mixed with apple martini. Cloyingly sweet and somehow sharp, to the point I actually felt quite nauseous every time I smelled it on my wrist, even after the dry down. Bummer.
Been reading the reviews for this, very interesting.
Sounds like it's worth a sniff. I must admit I find the bottle a complete turn-off - so strange and cheap looking. I also can't stand VB. Oh well, on the strength of the reviews, I'll give it a sniff if I see it out and about but I don't think I would ever buy it judging by the bottle and her previous frags/bottles, I don't expect this to be very good quality.
I think this is a type of scent that you need to adapt with and you will start loving it, I like it on paper but not so good on my skin, because ive bought it so i was trying to like it, and I do like it now , it takes some times to really get the feel of the fragrance. :)
Signature for Her is not a perfume for the shy or reserved girl. The scent is very spicy but dries down to a soft, powdery, vanilla-like scent. It can be slightly overwhelming for those not used to spicy florientals. But don't be afraid to try something new. You won't be disappointed.
If you are seeking something similar but less oriental, try Signature Story - more flowers and less of the spiciness that Signature has.
SIGNATURE by Victoria Beckham is another variation of a popular fruity floral gourmand theme with an attempt to make it more grown-up and elegant. Pleasant, polite and nice are the words I would use to describe this juice.
The fragrance opens with the sharp green apple and anise. This mixture is rather unusual. I think some reviewers perceive it as a bit masculine. I would describe it as aromatic and sour. Then the fragrance softens as it interacts with my skin revealing the fragrant anise mixed with the shy orchids. I have to say that the orchids in general are hit and miss for me but in this fragrance they are elegant. The fragrance continues towards the sweeter gourmand end when the heliotrope and vanilla come into play. The scent stays in the gourmand territory with musky vanilla and orchids in the dry down.
The lasting power and sillage are medium. SIGNATURE for her seems to get quite mixed reviews here but I find it quite pleasant and enjoyable to wear.
(This review is for EDT)
Very sweet, musky, & long lasting. Some of my favorite notes are in this one, green apple, orchid, vanilla, musk. Where did I go wrong? For some reason I am unable to wear this one. It makes me nauseous for some reason....oh well those of you who can tolerate this sweet elixer enjoy.
Edit: Okay, soooo I took a break from this one....waited some and tried it again and I'm not feeling nauseous when I smell it this time...Yay! Looks like this one's gonna make its way back into my good graces ;-)
This is a very warm smelling fragrence, I think its perfect for spring its hot and firery preparing you for summer! xx
It smesll wonderfull, quite a warm fragrence. It reminds me of christmas for some reason and walking in the snow, dont know why, but thats what it remionds me of, its a happy memory fragrance, one you can assoicate good memorys with x
All I can smell is anise... its absolutely awful... and I love anise usually. Its rather lovely in Givenchy Very Irresistible and a few others I happen to have in my collex, but this one is not so well done, highly synthetic and not pleasant at all to me.
CHILDHOOD MEMORIES IN A BEAUTIFUL BOTTLE.
Thats how my perfume will be if I ever do one. Any way.. This perfume, wow love it so much. This perfume I wear anytime I wanna feel special and smell wonderful. I have to say that almost all VB-perfumes are amazing. I read about the perfume on this site before I bought it. Intrigued but the taught of having a perfume with notes of Heliotrope, Green Apple, Vanilla and I love it! I didn't know VB did perfume and she did pick the note herself, unlike many "Celebrity-perfumes". I like that, I like that! :) The bottle looks beautiful and very sweet-chic. The flower on the bottle adds a romantic innocence to the look, me like :) The color of the bottle has become on of my new favorite colors recently. It's long lasting and I think it's important that a good perfume do a big plus. For me it's perfect and I recommend it. One of my favorite perfumes of all times :)
I love it as well.
Great for everyday.
I would buy it again!
i love love love it.. it is hot! something that i would deff wear for spring days
fresh green apple right away, and then it settles fairly quickly. I don't get the anise at all. The vanilla floats along so tenderly and it's quite pretty. All the while the crisp freshness of the apple stays until the amber musk drydown. Hardly getting any patchouli which is surprising. This would be good for summer!
I was going to give this as a present for my niece, but ended up keeping it. Bad, isn't it? Kept sniffing all day long, fell in love with it and decided it's not the fragrance for a 15-year-old. After all, Victoria herself is closer in age to me than to my niece. Ha! Anyways,I can smell a substantial amount of patchouli and vanilla that's making it just a little too sweet to my liking, but still sticking with it since I wanted a sweet-sugary scent for winter soooooo badly. Winter is too grey and rainy here in Ireland, one needs a pick-me-up... Aniseed is the other ingredient that stands out strongly making the perfume slightly masculine, but in a positive way. All in all, this is a yummy, sexy fragrance from Victoria, although I've never been her fan. At least, her fragrance is pending towards heavy weight, if herself will never be. :-) By the way, similar fragrances are Ange u Demon Tendre or Nina's Ricci Ricci, I guess. And what about niece? Well, she is getting something different for Christmas, don't you worry. ;-)
Like it,though i usually dont like chypres, they usually smell too manly, too sharp and lack of any sweetness at all.
But this baby is alright. theres not much sweetness, its quite fruity ,redberrys to my nose ,no vanilla i can detect atleast - but i kinda like it .
some days, when the mood is right and i dont feel like wearing my usual comfortscents, thta smells of candy, vanilla, incense and so on ,this could do the trick.
I love this scent!! I do have many top dollar perfumes (Chanel, Givenchy, Dior, D&B, etc...) but this one is perfect for me for any day! It does have a powdery scent to it, but I dont detect any vanilla, and it does last longer than many others!
Whoa! hello gorgeous!!!
this is stunning, I love it, it reminds me of a more feminine version of Joop! Home, only this is for a woman. It does slightly have the smell of grapes in the beginning due to the anise and apple mix, it goes from the top notes to the middle quite fast, witch are vanilla and orchid. You can smell heliotrope all the way through from top to bottom. After the dry down is mostly musk and orchids still. This is mildly sweet with a very nice sexy dry down kind of powdery from the orchid. So happy I seen a review and happened to notice this in a discount store today. I bought it and I love it.
Love this stuff. Sweet girly and at the same time sexy and very adult. Not for little girls. This makes me smell yummy and feel sexy. I do think it's more for winter since it's a bit strong and sweet. Bottle is very pretty too.
waaaaaaaaaaay too much vanilla..
if you're into it :(((
too straightforward and usual.. great disappointment..
This is a wonderful women's fragrance and I would find any woman wearing this simply irresistable and want to nibble on her neck and kiss her softly everywhere...
This opens with a tart apple note smoothed and warmed by a lovely anisette smell. The floral heart of orchids, powdery heliotrope and sexy, smooth vanilla is just...magnificent! Floral, soft and sweet-the epitome of feminine allure, subtly done and very elegant. The PAM basenotes never quite develop but, trust me they don't really need to...amber adds to the overall elegance of this but too much patchouli and musk would 'dirty' an utterly scrumptuous perfume. This is a winner...
Sillage: nice
Longevity: quite good
Overall: 4.75/5 O La La!!
This may not be elegant for those who wear Guerlain and Hermes, or even Givenchy but for a person whose collection is not quite so riche(AKA most women), this is a bit more refined and elegant that most of the bubble gum fruity-floral scents coming out these days and is quite refined and elegant while staying young at heart, fresh and so very SEXY...
i love this perfume, i smelt it and had to buy it.
Geeez this smells great! What do I smell? I smell SOMEthing kinda like 60's Pop from Avon, just a little and, a cotton candy sweetness, a bit masculine too. I can't describe it. It's a scent you think to yourself, that smells good! and then you say outloud, You smell GOOD!!!! What IS that???? and you just keep sniffing. This was an accident. I had no desire to even try this but snoop that I am I had to spray it. Every single time is like that very first whiff, I'm not tiring of it AT ALL. Who made this? I want to just thank them and let them know they are truly special for this creation.
This perfume is good my best friend got it for me .i wouldnt have bought it for myself but im glad i have it..and the bottle is really beautiful so is the box ..looks real good on my dressing table
This was a nice surprise and after consideration, I purchased the whole set of this. It is a suprisingly good fruit-chouli, and although it stands totally on its own, it is similiar to Flowerbomb. I ended up giving it to my sister because the patchouli base was too much patchouli for my preference and it smells completely divine on her!
I love this perfume,it is so beautiful till I spray it on my anatomy atlas which I thought it can get rid off the awful smell of that book but unlukily, now, everytime I use this perfume it is reminds me my anatomy lab which is even worse!!! :((((
This was not what i expected - a chypre as a celebrity frag ,unusual and bold !
I dont like chypres, since theye often so very masculine and almost dry in their tones, no warmth there. BUT this one suprised me, its quite fruity or maybe berry , red berrys and though its a bit too smiple for me , i kept smelling my wrist and yes ,the scent has someting there.. I think its not bad at all!
oh, it's wonderful! Classical, warm and powdery - great for cold days.
Got the gift set yesterday and wow the lotion is up to power usually the lotions in the gift sets are lacking something but not this one.It does smell like candy apples and it is spicy a bit but my complaint is that it doesn't have good lasting power but overall I like it.
Another wonderful creation from Beckham!
I can pick out the individual notes but to me it all blends to smell like vibrant berries with an underlying sweetness and the musk adding softness. Or at least that's how I like to think of it being a berry fan. I don't smell any anise which is great because I'm NOT an anise fan and had my doubts with anise being one of the first notes listed.
After the initial burst Signature steadies with a bit more musk, but not too much, the main notes remain strong for some time. Good lasting power. Really glad to have it! Thanks Triplex for sending this my way! :D
Was verry suprised with this one from first sniff.so love the candy apple and the orchid vanilla.long lasting and mature.even if there.s apple.verry sensual and woman to me.mwah.love it.love the vanilla they use for the signature.
I expected something entirely different from Victoria. It's so interesting: you think you know someone (whom you cannot know personally), and imagine her to be like something, then you smell her fragrance and realise you have been on the wrong path all the way. She is a completely different world. I bought it unsniffed, and found it unbearable (it reminded me of some other perfume, but I couldn't decide, which, anyway, it was awful), and gave it to my grandma.
This perfume opens quite masculine upon first spray. It's very fruity, with a sour green apple note being the most prominant note.
After a few minutes, it dies down, thankfully, and reveals other notes, predominantly vanilla and orchid. I can still smell the apple note, but barely. And there's some musk and a little amber in there as well. I'm not sure where I'm smelling this powder, but I also smell something very powdery, and that's not a bad thing at all. The orchid note is very beautiful.
I really like this fragrance, but only after 5 minutes, when that yucky sour green apple note goes away. The lasting power is quite good, I find, and I like it even more-so after I layer it with its matching body products. All in all, a very nice, soft, powdery fragrance.
What I really like about this perfume is the strong smell of grapes which hits your nose in the beginning. Unfortunately, it quickly evaporates. Later you can draw a parallel between Signature and Lolita Lempicka. And finally... the ambery base appears.
I really like the top and base notes, but I'm not sure about the sweet gourmand middle (I can't catch an orchid note), probably it's not my type of scent (although I love Chopard Wish). I like first two perfumes better, but it would be really nice to have this and wear it occasionally.
So, if you're into these Angel-wannabes, you should try this more-fruity-gourmand-than-chypre-floral fragrance.
p.s. I don't like the flower prints on the bottle at all.
i just bought it. the lady sprayed it in the store and i just smelled sensual grape, fruity sweat tarts. I loved the smell. Now that I have it, I'm not sure if it suits me. I'm going to rock it though because i'm captivating and its sexy.
I actually really like this fragrance. It was sheek and a tad sweet which is totally unlike what i expected.... I am not usually a fan of fruit fragrance but i liked this... The vanilla was very obvious and that was good..
I am surprisingly happy wearing this fragrance""Big Smile""It is a spicy blend of fruit & floral but not a Fru Fru a fruity.I smell Amber & musk as it dries down & the patchouli adds a light spiciness to it.I picture myself wearing this on a night out on the town club hoping as there is a lot of playful with the seductive.Because after I am done dancing it up with my friends I feel I would undoubtedly end up on a building rooftop with my mans arms gazing at the stars & giggling under the moonlight.
This fragrance is surprisingly fruity, which is not something that I would have imagined Victoria Beckham putting her name to. I usually refer to fruity fragrances as being free-sprited and lively, whereas Victoria exudes elegance and sophistication.
However, with that being said, the fragrance itself does not have the 'wow factor'. It's rather cheap and generic, which for the price tag is not something that you would expect.
I really loved her first two fragrances for women, but this one doesn't appeal to me what-so-ever. The apple note is really strong, yet it's not as well done as perhaps DKNY Be Delicious or Ralph by Ralph Lauren. In this fragrance the apple note is sour and nauseating.
I don't think that the choice to advertise this fragrance as being elegant and sophisticated was the right choice. This perfume would be better suited to a younger crowd and should be re-bottled and re-advertised to appeal to such a crowd.
i love it!!! it stays with me all day! i have gotten so many compliments on it...and i had to buy it from an overseas company because everyplace is sold out!!! must try
I'm not a Beckham fan, but I got a sample of this and really liked it.
I totally agree with Nebraska...if you like Lolita Lempicka, With Love Hillary Duff or Aqualina's Pink Sugar(all favorites of mine too), this perfume will be right up your alley. Good staying power, and the lotion/shower cream are nice too. The bottle is very pretty (my fave color!)
OK- so I got a sample of this and while I don't hate it, I don't love it either. To me it smells exactly like a dryer sheet mixed with some type of grape/wine accord. It definitely doesn't smell bad, but I wouldn't recommend it.
I was surprised to find how much I liked Beckham Signature for Her. I had sniffed the other Beckham scents and did not care for them. This one is a notch above those, both in price and in the quality of the fragrance.
It opens with a sweet candy/licorice note, and dries down to a soft incensey-patchouli aroma. Some reference points that might help: smells like Hillary Duff With Love stacked on the Cabaret de Gres drydown.
If you enjoy other anise/licorice fragrances like Lolita Lempicka, With Love Hillary Duff or Aqualina's Pink Sugar or Blue Sugar (all favorites of mine), this perfume will be right up your alley. It's not a particularly original scent, but it is a nice one. Good staying power, too.
oh, perhaps I'll try it..in another lifetime:)
Just can't stand this woman, and tired of seeing and hearing 'Beckham' everywhere, though these days everything's less loaded with this name.
No offence, to anyone , who, likes this perfume, I think in perfume industry image plays quite major role(see the line of celebrity perfumes disapearing on the horizon). When I buy or use perfume it is not only scent experience.. it is Experience in general, and if I pay for it, I'd like to love every aspect of it..perfume industy is so chimeric. Remember Jade's perfumes..where are they now? nobody cared they were just scents smeling good
I was curious to test Posh & Becks's newest but found it, to my disappointment, quite artificial and lame. It doesn't last long and ends up smelling like cheap aftershave after a couple of hours. The bottle is simple but elegant though, and I like its silver-and-lilac design.
i ve got a sample from few days .it's some how fruity but after 30 min it turns to vanilla as it stays all the day
i smelled it yesterday and just love it, actually its a bit synthetic, but last quite well at least on the testing paper because ive only tried it there, but im not against sytnhetic and artificial scents as far as they smell so nice like this one, the vanilla is pretty strong in it, but its a very good combination
