Thunderstorm Demeter Fragrance for women and men

I was disappointed with this Demeter Fragrance as it was unfortunatly not what I was looking for, I agree that it smells of dirt and wet soil and that didn't please me. Like the reviewer below the reason i bought Thunderstom was because i too love the smell just before a storm in summer and i thought that was what I would get. I agree however that it does smell of just after a storm wet and earthy. If that's your thing you'll love it but this one was just not for me.

I find a common trend with me and Demeter Fragrances. First sniff they repulse me and then i give them another go and i grow to like them and in some cases love them. Thunderstom i have grown to love. First i got dirt, wet soil and that didn't please me, but give it a chance and it becomes something quite beautiful. The reason i bought Thunderstom was because i love the smell just before a storm in summer and i thought that was what i would get. I didn't get that i got just after a storm. That wet, earthy smell that fills your nostrils when your walking home in the rain. Imagine walking through a woods just after a downpour. The wet leaves, plants and soil. Thunderstom is that exactly bottled..... Amazing.

To me, this is the smell of lightning striking rocks just as a rainstorm is beginning - a real blast of ozone followed by an earthy, raw, wet smell. I can't keep my nose off it when I spray it, but I have to be in the mood - on a hot day for instance when you are longing for a change in the weather. I would not wear it on a cold winter's day. Also there is not a hint of sweetness, which is so refreshing in the perfume world today. This is my fave Demeter, apart from EARTHWORM which is no longer listed??? Does anyone know what has happened to it?

Oh,yes, wet London! Makes me want to visit again: Greenish, wet, dirty pavement. Evocative but maybe not a perfume.

I agree with other reviews here about this depicting the smell AFTER a thunderstorm more so than the smell BEFORE it. I, for one, was hoping for the latter, but I do still enjoy this on very hot days.

At first spray, I do smell a tiny suggestion of ozone, like how the air smells right before a storm. But that's quickly shadowed by the scent of rainwater and wet, earthy leaves. My partner said all he smelled was mold. I tend to agree...although I have to add that this mold is earthy and wet, not dry and musty.

This is not easily wearable, but I love it as a room spray and on my pillows. I find it very comforting and soothing.

WET DIRT! That's all i get. Well, it also smells like the scented Crayola crayons. Icky!

I get something very different to CaraMia, its definately not freshwater, leaves or earth.
This one smells really dirty. It's London streets after a storm, a wet, chemical, ozone smell that occurs after a summer storm that brings all the smog and pollution down from the skies. It's the way your hair smells after you have been caught in an urban downpour. It actually makes me rather homesick for dear old London Town.

No thunder, no lightning but the honest to goodnesss smell of fresh rainwater, wet leaves and wet earth. It is amazing as a work of art, but not as something I would wear. It does best, for me, as a room spray when the winter is too long or the summer too hot and dry.
