Eau Sauvage Extreme by Dior

This scent takes me back to 1980s when fragrances got attention.(It was released around the time Poison debuted.) This does just that, and I love it! ES only last a few hours and has minimal sillage. Extreme last all day and has a potent sillage. Its not offensive at all on me. It could almost be classified as a chyphre. The closing notes are very smoky and earthy. Alas, its getting more expensive and hard to find.

I bought the Extreme version because i thought it will be more potent and it will stay more hours on my skin. Rarely i wear man's perfumes (i am a woman)and this i was curious to taste. It's a nice fragrance, definitely unisex but it doesn't last on my skin. It's sharp, herbal, citrus-y, a little musty, a well crafted scent,it could be worn all year round, but i can't give load for the persistence. Hope you are more lucky. 16.32

so strong and manly.
you can steel smell the original ES but so diffrent, not for young people.
it's sweet and the opening is very souri!
not lemony like the original, when your going with that into a room belive me people will khnow your coming.

in one word -Bramante!!!

This one is way different that the original Eau Sauvage. On me, it's a sweeter, more accessible scent and I occasionally get a whiff of cinnamon (even though it's not listed here). Definitely unisex.

I'm one of the world's biggest Eau Sauvage fans, but I have to say that ES Extreme is way overrated. I bought it years ago beacause I noticed that Eau Sauvage didn't have any staying power on my skin (the scent disappeared after about 3 hours), and I wanted a more concentrated version of ES. Yes, ESE is a more concentrated version of ES, but it has a caustic, sharp vinegary note that smells kind of like Italian salad dressing, and just about ruins the whole scent. The original ES has this note as well, but it's subtle and in the background, where it belongs - in ESE, it's right in your face and up into your sinuses. This is not the note in Eau Sauvage that I wanted more of - I wanted more citrus. ESE isn't a terrible scent, but it's nowhere near as elegant or pleasing as the original. I'll just bite the bullet and buy a new bottle of Eau Sauvage every few months.

I used it several times, in a way I think it comes from the same family of Diorella and Hypnotic Poison. I am thinking of mixing Eau Sauvage with Hypnotic Poison, I think the mixtur will be nice, dont you think so?
