The new edition of Miss Dior Cherie for 2007 brings some new notes. This perfume belongs to chypre-floral fragrances and it introduces an intoxicating, sedutive bouquet, which is as romantic as its bottle. The notes are clear, fresh and contain a juicy, fresh Callabrian bergamot, dominant essence of orange, which increases the freshness and sweetness of tones. The scent of freesia attracts with its opulent and intensive floral notes, together with lily, and dark patchouli notes, with a wine-like scent of earth, used in chypre perfume compositions. It is known as fresher and more floral than its antecedent, Miss Dior Cherie 2005. It is produced as 50ml and 100ml EDT. If you intended to afford the old version Miss Dior Cherie 2005, be careful not to mistake them, because the bottles are very similar, almost identical.

Ok, just to clear up any confusion I emailed Dior's customer service and they confirmed that the following is true:
Miss Dior Cherie EDP 2005 was reformulated and rebottled in 2011. The scent was changed to become "more subtle and sophisticated". However, the name change in 2012 to simply "Miss Dior" EDP only consisted of a bottle/name change and NO reformulation of the juice. The 2012 juice is the same as the 2011 juice, but in a different bottle to reflect the name change. They told me that they decided to change the name "in order to build Miss Dior as an even more iconic and timeless fragrance and as a leading fragrance on the market".
Miss Dior Cherie EDT 2007 was also reformulated and rebottled in 2010/2011. It was also renamed/rebottled to simply "Miss Dior" EDT in 2012, but the juice is still the same as the 2010/2011 juice.
Side Note: In 2008, Miss Dior Cherie EDP and EDT bottles were redesigned with paper labels, but no change to the juice. The confusing part is that very similar bottles were used when the juice was reformulated in 2011. A good indication of the 2005 EDP formulation is that the sticker label lays flat on the bottle, whereas the sticker label on the 2011 reformulation lays in an indention of the glass. (I don't think this applies to the EDT because I saw the new Miss Dior bottles at Nordstrom and they do not have an indention in the glass.) Also, the new box packaging for the 2011 reformulation contains a pink circular CD sticker on the top of the box on the cellophane. However, Dior told me that the only way you can know *for sure* is by the batch number. I will let you know the batch numbers once they email me back.
I had a decant of MDC EDT over a year ago (my friend decanted it for me from her bottle which looks exactly like this), and to me it is a less patchouli-laden version of the original. The notes listed here confuse me greatly. To my nose, the caramel and strawberry notes were very present in this EDT. Even the pop corn note was still noticeable. It's just toned down a notch or two, slightly fresher and easier to wear on warm days. I absolutely adored it, and preferred it over the EDP (it's hot almost all year round where I live). Ofcourse, the EDP lasted much longer on my skin with fantastic sillage...while the EDT lasted 4-5 hours on me, it did give off a lovely sillage for the first couple of hours. I'm kicking myself for not having purchased it before it disappeared off the shelves.
Nice top note of wild strawberry with a pitch of cream which transforms into champaign flowers finally to end as Coco Mademoiselle. Somehow clumsy and awkward ending which spoils very fruity and innocent head.
I have a strong impression of true copy of Coco Mademoiselle in the base note which leaves a thought that the nose of this scent just run out of new conepts and added to the well selling Coco M a fruity note to differ it.
Most MDC lovers said the 2011 version is less sweet. It is easy to spot by looking at the metalic ribbon.
When I first spray this perfume on, I smell like luxurious wine and florals. When the dry down begins 30-60 minutes later, the Patchouli overwhelms and I do not care to smell it anymore. Patchouli doesn't smell very delectable with my body chemistry, so I've been very disappointed with this scent. If I spray it on my clothing, the scent lasts longer, and the patchouli doesn't smell as strongly. I would like to try the other versions of this scent, but I might not bother as the Patchouli exists in each. If Patchouli is alright on your skin, this scent might be better for you than it is for me.
I first thought that Miss Dior starts out nice, but the drydown was really bad and stinky. They reformulated it 2011 and now the drydown is more like the beginning and lost it's stinkiness. Therefore it's more fruity.
@Emiline, it is such a simple thing, this one is produced as EDT only. just ask for the original version from 2005 is an EDP. this can t be mistaken then.
HELP! I am in love with Miss Dior Cherie EdP, but when they changed the ingredients they added something I am allergic to. Can anyone please help me find the 'old' version? I'd like to buy everything still available, as it is like looking for a needle in a haystack.. The boxes have different, really tiny, numbers under the ingredients (0460/A = new, 01670/A = old). Thanks so much for your help!
I'm not sure which version I have but as I don't get any strawberries it must be this one.
At first sniff, it was a little sharp and full of hay - a familiar smell to me but I couldn't place it.
After a few minutes, the light bulb went on...it smells just like EA Sunflowers with a little sweet thrown in.
As it settles the orange comes forward but so far, no patchouli.
I don't know...I guess it's ok but fails to wow me. I expected a little more depth since it's classed as a chypre and a little more pizzazz since it's Dior.
Heavy sigh...
I know this a terrible review but it's mainly just extremely sweet and fruity on me. When a perfume is as sweet as this is, I have a difficult time being able to smell what is under it (the floral in this case). I had someone else smell it on me and she could smell the floral but I could not.
I don't get anything deeper (patchouli) that helps to tone it down either.
Decent sillage and longevity (6 hours and going so far)
I just bought this perfume :) I LOVE it :D It's not too sweet but still romantic.
There is a new version in stores but I don't like it so much. So I'm really glad that I have 100 ml and I think it'll last for some while :D
Despite all of the positive reviews below I dont think it's my cup of tea. All I smelled is the pineapple jam in a big jar from the beginning until the end and it caused a headache. OK I must admit that it emits the aura of classy young woman in the 80's. Somehow the scent remind me of men's aftershave. Just couldn't fall for it.
in my opinion, yes it is similar to the original one but very toned down version of it. and this is what the original perfume exactly needed. for me, the original one is totally offensive and so sweet that you feel like you can't eat strawberries anymore. it is pure strawberry jam mixed with a little bit of champagne as if that's gonna be tasty. but this one is actually a fresh strawberry & champagne composition and it is so clean and sexy. very flirtacious, playful and young but still very elegant. if you can't decide weather you should choose the first one or this one, i'd say go with this one. you won't regret it. its staying power is almost as good as the first and you won't be torturing the people around you with your harsh scent.
It's a nice fragrance, very similar to the original one but lighter but it's also very long lasting
I bought this one by mistake, the
tester was miss cherie blooming
bouquet but when I got home I found
this one, and I don't really like it.
I've never had such a beautiful perfume like MISS DIOR CHERIE(EAU DE PARFUME). NOW I CAN'T GO OUTSIDE WITHOUT HAVING IT ON MY BLOODY BODY. I LOVE IT SO MUCH
It smells not so fruity as the original. I can smell the popcorn, although it isn't listened here. The lady in the store said, that the ingredients are very similar - for me it smells also very similar. It's the same wihtout the cherry. I like it more, because the cherry in the original seems tobe sour and not sweet.
this is one of my all time favourites. it is so stylish, clear and juicy, a perfect combination of scents. somehow, i prefer the 2007 version because it has been retouched to become more fresh and pleasant than its antecedent.
The Fragrance Notes are defferent from the EDP, except for the Patchouli, but why the smill is close? Is this really dosent have the Caramell Popcorn notes?I liked the EDP, but the EDT suits my chemistry more(as my sister say). Can anyone answer my Quistion pleas.
Very similar to the Eau de Parfum, maybe a bit lighter. But it's difficult to keep them apart.
