Escada pour Homme (for men)

Very classic. Elegant,masculine, for romantic or special evenings. Great aroma for its price.

Escada Homme and Magnetism are the House of Escada's most elegant offerings. They are not for the 'spicy only' crowd and/or those that believe sweet fragrances are somehow not masculine. This is not a jeans and tee shirt scent but one befitting a suit, sports jacket, or upscale casual.

Homme opens with a light citrus and a hint of lavender which is very well done. There is something exotic in the blend. It could be the cognac.

The heart has just a whisp of spice from the nutmeg, caraway, and cardamom. The spice is very faint compared to the cinnamon, which itself is not too heavy being balanced out by the geranium and carnation. I would have to describe the heart as more of a powdery floral.

The base is very warm and comforting. How could it be anything else with tonka bean, sandalwood, patchouli, and vanilla? None of these really dominate but all are combined expertly to produce a very desirable, lightly sweet finish.

If I had to compare Escada Homme to anything else I own, I would say it most reminds me of Calvin Klein Obsession. That's not to say that the two are identical but I do think they are of the same genre. I'd put them in the category of romantic fragrances that includes Ralph Lauren's Romance, Safari, and Romance Silver. All are higher quality fragrances that some younger guys may not yet appreciate but they will upon discovering that ladies like to be serenaded rather than 'knocked down' by a guy's cologne.

In my opinion, best suited for the over 30 crowd. Escada Homme says I am a man of some means and have more refined tastes.

I smelled Escada men and fell in love with it. I felt a little silly getting it for my husband cause it does smell, at first, like something an older man might wear..but I couldn't help it. I had to get it for him. It smells yummy, powerful, spicy, sexy and rich. I cannot get enough of it. It is definitely and evening or elegant scent. Not sure if others around him like it, but who cares. This one is for me to smell on him! Probably wouldn't wear this one to work but at night it is absolutely perfect!!!

I test it on paperstrips but it is too sweet and too oriental for me. i don't like it, cuase i smelled some honey-notes, but maybe i seemed to be honey

It's ok, masculin, but it's just 2 crusty... maybe 2 masculin and it's missing the sexy notes :D. I mean i like masculin fragrances... but this one i guess it's for the smokers or... dono... for older guys! I belive there r others fragrances masculin and mutch better then this one!
