Bronze Goddess Soleil provides sparkling dewy freshness, clean as cloudless summer skies and attractive as exotic tropical beaches, with its carefree citruses and solar floral notes.
It opens with Sicilian lemon, Calabrian bergamot, sweet tangerine, lavender and petit grain. Sunny flowers follow: Mediterranean pittosporum, Tunisian neroli, Indian Sambac jasmine, Moroccan orange blossom, grapefruit blossom and pink lily nectar. The base is warm due to notes of blonde woods, iris, ambrette seed and crystalline musk.
Even the bottle reflects the transition from sand to sun in shades, decorated with a cap of matte gold rings. Available as limited edition 100 ml Eau Fraiche. Bronze Goddess Soleil was launched in 2011.

The original Bronze Goddess is amazing its my fave summer scent and im excited for the new one Capri coming out this year, as for the Soleil.....it doesnt remind me of the sun or summer or well something id spray on myself unless forced
what a waste of money! i wish they had labels on these thing for blind buyers that say if you like how it smells after you take a crap then this one is for you! The only this reminds me of is a shower becuz once you spray it on you your gonna want to take a shower to get the stench off!
smells like a old grandma or aunt that just pooped and sprtayed some cheap vanilla potporri in the air and its mixing togeather to get this bronze goddess scent .. no good~
WARNING: do not aquire this thinking that you will be wearing the wonderful sunny-summer-breeze-&-coconut-tanning-oil scent that is Bronze Goddess. If you do...you are in for a nasty shock!
The Lauder SA admitted that they couldn't shift this little "delight" as I shot her my "what the heck did you spray me with THAT for?!" look.
I just can't see how such a clashing catastrophe ever got created, let alone signed off, packaged & placed on shelves. REALLY???!
The whole perfume is an assault to my senses.
It jarrs & curdles & shouts. Grapefruit jumps up to tear out your nose-hairs...synthy musk hangs like the loud, cheap washing powder clinging to the Bold generation as they walk, squeaky-clean, down the street. A screechy white flower bouquet whacks you round the head. Something dirty-green & sharp lurks in the shadows....
On the plus side: it lasts & lasts......
I have the 2008 and 2010 version EL Bronze Goddess and I absolutely love both of them. Due to this reason, I was thinking about to purchase 2011 Soleil version but, commends given here confused my mind too much, I'm completely doubtful about it :S
So ordinary, cheap smelling lemon soap.Just awful, comparing to the original Brozne Goddess
Bought it and i'm so glad! It's really fresh to me! Love it..Although it doesn't last, i love it's freshness!
I love this one! Most of the reviews that hate this one almost put me off buying, but I love lemon so I bought it anyway. So glad I did. It's a great light summer fragrence and smells classy at the finish. It's definitely a fragrence for a woman, not a girl.
This fragrance is mainly strong citrus with some green and musky notes. I didn't mind it at first, but it is a bit boring. The citrus in combination with the green notes comes off as synthetic rather than fresh. I can't make out any of the floral notes that are listed.
I think L'Occitane's verbena-based fragrances are much better if you want a natural-smelling, fresh citrus fragrance that works for the summer.
What have they done! this is terrible!
smells like cheap lemon cologne, not fresh, not warm,i hate this one.
Did not like it! What could I say when I've already met and fell in love with its descender. Only something as unique could beat it! And this is not the one! Fresh but nothing special
WOW...GAVE THIS A TRY AND HAD TO RETURN FOR THE ORIG. BRONZE GODDESS...this was too weak of a drydown and i think the dewy freshness i love but does not last:(
this fresh and when the weather is like 90 degr. this will be a hit! our sweatglands will sink this in and it will smell great on me!
In comparison 2008 Bronze Goddess Eau Fraîche is a relaxing, smouldering, deep hot summertime day on the beach sipping coladas where 2011's Soleil is a peppy, bright, tangy citrus (smells almost like grapefruit. it's a tart citrus rather than a sweet citrus) full of energy with an added bit of musk for that summer skin scent (I'm not so enamored with that at the moment as it smells a bit like sweat/BO).
IMO after some of the musk burns off it's much better. At that point it's not as sharp, the citrus becomes a little sweeter and the floral is as light as a sunbeam. Unfortunately a lot of lemon notes don't work on me as they tend to have an odd bitter/unpleasant note when mixed with my chemistry and this perfume may well be one of them.
I'm still out on this one, depending on how that note turns on my skin plus I want to give it chance in the hot weather to see how it blooms. As of right now, it's pleasant but nothing earth shattering, not a "have to have it" perfume for me.
I'd say 08's Bronze Goddess is a somewhat limited beach scent where Soleil is a more versatile late spring and summer daytime scent.
As far as strength, it's an eau fraiche so it won't last much beyond 2 hours, if that long but that's the nature of the beast. I think the bottle is sized & priced appropriately considering that(100ml).
Soleil hardly resembles it's matching partner Bronze Goddess. If you dig *4711* by Muelhens circa 1792 then you will probably like this scent, but for the life of me I can't see why anyone would buy it! I'd rather splash myself with the vintage masterpiece *4711*...
Soleil is very fresh, watery, and full lemons! The lasting power is decent, I can still smell it on my clothes if that says anything. I prefer Bronze Goddess 2011 since it really took me to a faraway tropical place in my imagination!
Ok, I have been dying to smell this! I went to Macy's today and there it was for the sampling. At first spray this is sunny, energenic, fruity, warm and delicious all wrapped up in one bottle. I was in love or so I thought when 3 hours later I could not smell a hint of anything at all on my arm. I am so bummed! I love this scent but it did not last more than 2+ hours and I can't bring myself to buy this if it isn't going to make it past 2+ hours. UUGGHH! I love it though.....
