Estee Lauder launched the New Romantics collection in 1978. The collection consisted of three fragrances (White Linen, Celadon and Pavilion), which could be combined with each other. Celadon and Pavilion are long discontinued, while White Linen is still available.
Celadon is a floral - green perfume, “intensely beautiful, reminiscent of a garden laden with flowers". It contains aldehydes, galbanum, rose, green notes, floral notes, woods and musk.
Celedon was a nice green floral, similar to Lauder's Aliage from 1972 and Revlon's Norell from 1968. I still do not understand why this perfume did not sale better than it did. Lots of galbanum, rose, vetiver and moss. It was kind of soapy, like many other green fragrances of the '70's. The color of the juice was really vibrant green, pretty neat. It was discontinued around the early '80's or so, so findind a bottle is a chore. If I do ever come across one, I will definitely grab it. It's about as unheard of as Sniff 'n' the Tears' "Driver's Seat" from 1978, yet both are gems.
