It all starts with a hand on the nape of a neck. The hand of a man familiar with the practice of attracting young women, accustomed to crumpling their sleek hair and to getting the better of their well-behaved manners. This is the story of a man in a car at night, of a manly hand that draws a perfectly fresh face towards him - expressed at the start by a bouquet of white flowers: lily of the valley, jasmine and orange blossom–, and who anticipates the chocolaty taste and tenderness of a mouth. It is also the story of a woman who at first resists and finally goes down on him. The art of the “American kiss” unfurls on accords of ambre solaire, almond, sugar cane and marsh mallow. The man will discover everything there is to know about her: the warm roughness of her tongue, the rousing sensation of her back and forth. All there is to know and no more than that! The appetizer ends in a whisper: “Don’t get me wrong baby, I don’t swallow”.

Composition: Jasmine, lily of the valley, orange blossom, amber, patchouli, cacao, musk, marshmallow...

Nose for this fragrance is Antoine Maisondieu. Don`t Get Me Wrong Baby was launched in 2007.

The fragrance is nothing like the 'story' behind the name, rather it's a sweet mixture of zest and flowers. This scent is highly reminiscent of Very Hollywood by Michael Kors.

I find this a beautiful fragrance, and, despite being lower key, and more unobtrusive than some of its sister scents, this is by far my favorite perfume from ELDO.

It opens with a lovely blast of sweet white flowers. There is a sugared tartness to the opening which reminds me of candied lemon.

The floral notes run through the heart of this scent, but the drydown is less tangy and sweeter, the marshmallow and cacao helping to make it almost gourmand on me.

Don't Get Me Wrong is a fun, flirty girly scent. It's not as mature in character as some of the other scents from this house, but that's one of the things I love about it. It appeals to the girlish part of my nature, rather than the womanly part.

Really great lasting power, and wonderful sillage, this perfume is really worth a try for any floral lover.

ELDO scents seem to be exceptionally subjective when it comes to skin chemistry, however, so try before buying.

The name is rather fitting for the scent, I think. An innocent(ish) name for an innocent(ish) fragrance. 8/10

This is the second ELDO that doesn't live up to the 'shock value' of the name. The first was Sex Pistols which, although a good perfume, was mainstream and conservative it its execution. it did not leave me with a desire to set fire to anything or rebel against society
Likewise, Dont Get Me Wrong Baby..... is an attention grabbing name. Sadly, it lost my attention soon after that. This is a pretty, inoffensive Lily Of the Valley scent that couldn't be more prim or more proper. This girl won't get jiggy with anyone in a car. No sir!

Well, I guess we all know there is no truth in advertising.

(thanks Scorpiosheep for the sample x)

A fragrance that perfectly fits its name. You don't have to get her wrong, she's a good girl...

A clean floral fragrance (mainly lily of the valley and jasmine) of little (very little) interest.

As an old motto used to say: Good girls go to heaven, Bad girls go anywhere...

Rating: 5.5/10

Don't Get Me Wrong Baby is a very very good girl. Too good for my liking. Given the name, I expected some naughtiness. But there is none. I doubt if this girl even performs the job that eventuates in swallowing.

It is a clean and neat floral which begins with a fresh blast of Jasmine, orange blossom and a pleasant Lily of the Valley note. It remains a strong floral for a long time. I was impatiently waiting for something else to come through. Finally, I could get a whiff of something soft and sweet. Fluffy, light and sweet marshmallow note comes through but somehow lost in the overtness of floral top notes.

Looking beyond the shock value of the name and its relevance, it is well made floral, very wearable. It has a nice refined feel about it. Not really the kind of perfumes that I'd prefer but a soft light floral is a nice addition to my collection. I want to try Putain des Palaces, aka Hotel Slut which seems to have (ironically) more character.

I kind of like this one... I could detect some naughtiness about it ;)

Only problem is that it did not last much on my skin.

Mellyhelly is right: this fragrance is very easy to wear compared to other ELdO's creations. I get a very strong lily-of-the-valley -vibe.

Luckyscent states the following:
"Don’t Get Me Wrong Baby I Don’t Swallow is prim, proper and well-behaved. The Good Girl vibe of the scent is shocking given the suggestive name, and therein lies the genius of the fragrance. But is the girl really all that innocent? Under the angelic whiteness of cool florals, isn’t there hidden a dark, edible, subtly animalic depth of patchouli, amber, cacao and marshmallows?"

Is that really so? This girl is very proper and angelic all the way through; she didn't dare to be flirty or animalic at all - not with me, anyway. I prefer my girls more naughty...

Nice scent and I mean nice, nothing more. It's a highly wearable perfume compared to its "collegues" from Etat Libre. I don't really like those strange smells so well marketed and so useless.
It smells mostly of jasmine in an innocent sweet way. It also has nuances of oriental notes. It's feminine and elegant. It gives a sense of cosyness. Innocence is obvious but there are undertones of sensuality. Nice.

This is an easy wearable clean floral for etat libre d'orange , but one i'm afraid it doesn't have the interest or success of some of their best. Is a loss of time for a great talent like Antoine Maisondieu and the formula of jasmine, candied rose and a dollop of cacao in a powdery ambrgris base doesn't quite deliver on a promising set up but i suppose from a point of view is still fun!
