Chocolate Story is surprisingly a very well constructed fragrance, even though it may seem to appeal to a teenage population wearing wristband width mini skirts and tons of make up pretending to be grown ups.
The looks of a perfume bottle can be very deceiving.
Chocolate Story is not all about chocolate.
It starts with citruses, bitter almonds and a pinch of cinnamon, reminding me of Hypnotic Poison. A surprising opening which, in most fragrances, appears only at the dry down stage.
Then, it only gets better!
In the heart stage, I can smell fresh and fully ripen plums and bitter chocolate.
The dry down is worth waiting for; this is what makes that fragrance so unique. Delicious opening which gets better and turns into a mature oriental fragrance after 3 hours.
Then it is all about vanilla and caramel with a bit of oak and other woodsy notes, reminding me of Elixir Des Merveilles.
Even though Chocolate Story comes only as an eau de toilette, it surprises me; the fragrance has fenomenal projection and lasting power.
It is great for winter and fall - it blends well with my skin pheromones and wraps me up like the softest cashmere pashimna on a cold day.
According to me, you should definitely try it if you highly rate Hypnotic Poison and Elixir Des Merveilles.
Chocolate Story is a gem.
Complex, sexy and rich.
Thumbs up!
P.S. It is not widely available, in fact, it took me a good few months to find a 30ml bottle but if you wish to add it to your collection, send me a message and I will put you in touch with the official Faberlic representative who will help.
Ohhh my daughter loves this , shes 16 and I am thinking of stealing it OR eating it , yummmmmm.
The parfum from Pierre Bourdon. The aroma of chocolate candies with prunes. Tasty as all chocolate perfume. Very inexpensive. In Moscow, costs $ 12 for 30 ml. For young girls.
