this one is incredible!!! orange blossom and honey is a magic conmbination. i recently got a sample and i got to have it.... soon!! this will be my summer scent from now on. living in southern france, this will be perfect to cool even on those hot summer days. il also cheer everyone up!! my husband is crazy about it too, i'll have to watch out so that he doesn't spray it all around the house!!
This is my every day fragrance. I get so many compliments from both men and women. It must go well with my body chemistry, it makes me feel unique :)
This brings back memories of my beloved Pur Desir de Fleur d'Oranger by Yves Rocher which is discontinued. It's a tangy, zesty and a little tart kind of orange flower. It feels like a perfect summer fragrance for when you're craving something that will give you an instant energy boost and still not leave you smelling like some random "fresh" or "sporty" fragrance. I have to smile when I put it on and feel relaxed and optimistic at the same time. Even though its longevity is not really great on me, I would purchase this one again. :)
I don't know how orange blossom smells as there's no orange blossom here but I can say that it smells like PHilosophy baby Grace.
I love this fragrance! It is simply a beautiful neroli! And I love the comforting musk in the background. I barely detect its citrussy note. I love layering it with Fragonard's Vetyver or something citrussy. The lasting power on me is only 3-4 hours... I ordered it after a walk through an orange orchard last spring, while it was in full bloom.... That afternoon I discovered orange blossom fragrance. It was most amazing flowery perfume!!! Sofisticated, heady, in a funny way not "too flowery", but creamy, sumptuous.... I too wished it had a more masculine or fresh base to it... but that's easily accomplished by layering it over another fragrance.
This is an awesome fragrance!
It opens with a huge accord of pure orange blossom that becomes orange, neroli and jasmine in a mix of plesaure.
I suppose it fits perfectly to women, but I do not care about sexist classificantion, so It is a must have fragrance in my collection
Longevity is impressive as well as sillage, so, 4 or 5 sprays are really enough for the whole day, even in Brazil, the hotest one
A lovely summer eau de toilette, linear and simple but very addictive. Orange blossom lovers will be pleased by this one.
Perfectly unisex.
When I visited the rue Scribe Fragonard museum in Paris, I'd done my research & wanted so much to like this. Was utterly distraught to discover how tinny and thin and almost metallic (to my nose) this smelled on my skin. Not at all the macaron-like scent I was looking for! The solid perfume mini was a little creamier (and cute enough to die for), but ultimately this was a pass. I am perhaps too much a fan of perfumes that develop; this did nothing of the sort. There's definitely something Glade-like about this.
It has taken some time to adjust to this scent and to truly appreciate it. When I first wore it a couple of years ago, someone in my office stated that something smelled like cleaning detergent of some sort. After that comment I refused to wear it until only a week ago when I ran out of another fragrance.
I must say that I'm getting used to it and like it but I surely don't love it. I will hold onto it and use whenever I've run out of other options.
This doesn't turn very citrusy on my skin. It's an intense dose of orange blossom, somewhat heady. It has decent lasting power, I could smell it on myself fairly well 3 hrs later. The musk made it smell rather powdery on me, I can understand why some may think it's strong. I think I want to layer it with something a little more masculine.
I LOVE Fragonard customer service though. They sent me SO many extra, generous samples!
My daughter brought home a sample from a tour of the Fragonard perfume factory in Grasse, France. Love this fragrance. It is fresh, feminine, and uplifting. It sounds silly but I love smelling this fragrance on me. The citrusy florals are long lasting and not too sweet.
This was the one that hit my brain while approaching Fragonard shop in Grasse! Well, Fragonard has a determined marketing attitude to say the least. You see the yellow boards everywhere and even a little train going around the lovely town taking tourist around! While getting closer to their shop I was overwelmed with a lovely hypnotic smell that lingered in air! OMG! I immediately knew it was orange blossom as it is one of my favourite floral note together with jasmine and rose! Orange blossom in itself is a very uplifting, nerve-calming and anti-depressant note! It can be too pungent at time but in this case it is so lovely blended with thicker notes like honey (not too much or cloying!) and a soft musk base. Simple and simply enchanting!
You could smell Fleur d'Oranger sprayed high on top of the street from nozzles place on a high metal bar!
I'm happy that Fleur d'Oranger provided a common point of agreement between my BF and me! We usually don't like same fragrances! I would dip into a vat of oriental amber and he would shower with citruses!
I will always match Fleur d'Oranger with my beautiful sunny trip to Grasse with BF wearing only a short summer dress and a big hat! Freedom! That's why I say Fragonard went quite hard on olfactive marketing, more than its competitors Galimard and Molinard, who also make lovely scents with a less commercial vibe! The Fragonard shop was packed with customers from all over the world! Oh, and it was such a beautiful shop full of bottles of any kind and a museum!
Fleur d'oranger is what I tried to find in L'Artisan La chasse aux papillons. Less pungent and more mellow, not complicated but present.
The staying power is average but sillage is not very big.
EDIT: this fragrance is heaven for me and lift my mood up! But... I got quite a few negative feedback, mainly from the oldies of my family, which are not really perfume fan in general.
My mother says it smells too strong and synthetical! I wear only 2-3 spray at time.
Other told me it smells like floor detergent with bleach!
This opens with an intense orange blossom hit, which is tempered with bergamot and jasmine. The base is a honey skin scent with very little musk. Simple and lovely.
A bold honeyed orange blossom fragrance. It reminds me of the same honeyed orange blossom note in Femme Fekkai Sensuelle.
the true scent of orange blossom and very longlasting and incredibly cheap!!, I have fleur d'oranger by lutens too and is really wonderful but it's not the same..
If you are looking for more like the scent of orange blossom is the one you probably will like! .. When I was a little girl, we had a small Christmas candy in different forms, jesus, animals, etc and it' exactly the same smell!
This is my favourite summer scent. It is playful, flirty and uplifting. The musky/honey base adds interest and sophistication. It never fails to bring a smile to my face!
For me, this is Paris in the summer. At any time of the year, I breathe it in and I am suddenly there, and the sun is glinting off the Seine, and warming my face.
It is also a drive across Florida years ago with the orange groves in full bloom at sunset. It is warm and inviting, and innocent and sophisticated all at once.
A truly great fragrance among the "lighter" scents.
First i get a lot of honey and jasmine, this is gorgeous, absolutely stunning. Wow, I'm definately going to have to put this on my top 10 list. This would make a perfect summer scent. this is an absolute favorite neroli. I don't pick up much orange on my skin.. Love it.. price is not bad either..
