Inis Moonlight Fragrances of Ireland for women

To me it's like a peachy, berry, fruity exclaimation-esque fragrance, except that it is not sharp.

I like to think of this cozy, dreamy blend as my "James and The Giant Peach" fragrance; watery, nectar rose, on a gentle bed of peach fuzz, quietly rolling down a green hill in moonlight.

Inis "Moonlight" opens on a sparkling, lipstick rose, immediately made clean and watery by the inclusion of a citrusy, fiber-soft, cyclamen note. Some pearly, sheer, "night flower" notes emerge, that are like a mix of white florals, vegetal musk and grapes. There is something vaguely nostalgic about it at this point and it almost reminds me of an updated version of "Exclamation!", but not before it becomes deeper, softer, almost like a pulpy plum, in its gentle richness. The sweetness subsides a little and the water note comes forward and its deepness with a hint of grass, reminds me of reeds by the waterside and the darkness and stillness of a lake at night. This all dries down into a warm, almost astringent, cedar hum, with the florals deepening into something more akin to rosewood than rose.

There's something distinctly snuggly and dreamy about this scent, but it's subliminal and I can't quite put my finger on it. It wraps around you in a fuzzy haze of warmth, while still evoking a sense of freshness; overall, the sensation is like wearing a soft sweater, outdoors, on a cool night. "Inis Moonlight" has that interesting character of contrasts, making it seem, both, evoking of coolness and warmth at the same time. It's a truly cuddly blend.
