This is the first fragrance of Gabriela Sabatini created in 1989. Floral scents with fresh aldehyde notes have created a modern classic. Floral-fresh opening of tangerine (citrus) and orange blossom lead to the exotic and voluptuous floral heart: tuberose, jasmine, lily of the valley, and exotic flowers bouquet: the base is warm and classical: sandal wood, musk, amber, and vanilla.
The nose behind this fragrance is Harry Fremont.

Wow, I have fortunately 100 ml bottle of this one. One bad thing there is having a large collection of perfumes... they get forgotten to shelf. This one was also the kind I took it and sprayed on my wrists. And ahh, what a wonderfull memories this brings on my mind from youth days. Smiling wide. These days I consider this to be eaven more good, dry down is a bit sweet, little powdery with vanilla and amber. This is huge romantic scent Me thinks.
My mother was wearing it a long time ago and I remember I liked it so much as a little girl. So when I saw a tiny bottle today at the drugstore I took it, just for the sake of it, just to remember how it was, to see if I still like it again. I do! There is something about it (jasmine-woody notes-amber) which reminds me of Alien. But I prefer GS, it's more complex and not as overwhelming. It is strong, and longlasting, so use it with a light hand. The other reviews say it's very common in Brazil, in Europe it's not common at all, which I find a good thing.
Update: As much as I love to smell it from the bottle, I can't wear it. I think I can't wear big jasmine scents (have the same problem with Alien), neither the so strong scents that can be immediately situated in the '90s (Jils Sander 4...).
when i go back to the perfumes which i liked years years ago ,i realize that i don`t like some of them anymore, actually most of them. This one is the only one exception from my old time favourites which i like more nowadays than before, when i used to wear it.I love it now!Love love love!very affordable ,unique smell!
P.S Much better than Joop!Femme which smells much more mature and old ladish
I used this perfume once twenty years ago, I wanted to try other perfumes, but always remembered the smell of Gabriela Sabatini, has been a bit hard to find, until recently I bought another bottle, and I am happy to have it again.
This is NOT for summer or hot time. In Brazil, people insists in use it (almost in this season). Result: the perfume becomes overpower and annoying. Nice fragrance but not for me. Nothing special and really sweet. Great price and sillage. Good longevity.
my mum always used it. it smelled sooooo good on her!!!
Tried it few days ago and expected something strong and classic but was really dissapointed with a drydown. While the opening and middle notes are beautiful and very floral the drydown smells like a cheap soap. Really. So sad, i like some others Gabriela Sabatini scents but this one is sadly off my favorite list due to soap smell. sorry.
Eu adoro perfumes doces.. O Gabriela é bem doce, mas na medida. Fixa tão bem e a saída é uma delícia!! Adoro..
i dont like this perfume...
its too strong for me.. when i smelled this i had to sneeze xD
This is surprisingly good!
An abundant bouquet of flowers (which I can't separate in my brain), made airy and a bit artificial by aldehydes and lemon. Lily-of-the-valley is very clear in the drydown.
I agree with comparrison to Joop! Femme, but I prefer the latter.
Artificiality of Gabriela Sabatini disturbs me.
Also, it lacks the woody undertones of Joop! Femme.
Sillage and staying power are good (sp over 5 hours).
My mother made me love this perfume. We first smelled it when we visited our neighbour. Mom remembered the name and purchased it later. I was around 4-6 then. Of course those times i weren't so interested about perfumes as i am now but this stuff is so magnificent that i can recall it after 10 years or more. Tropically sweet and juicy. WARNING! Bees will chase you wearing this in sumer:D My mother truly can't stand sweet scents that's why it's odd she liked this one. I asked her: she would still wear GS if she had a bottle. Old perfume but as i remember it's not oldish, so why not?;)
it was my mom's perfume and i have loved it so much so my mum gave it to me,this perfume is so sweet, really so sweet but it is not overwhelming, otherwise it is really standable.actually i dont like sweet perfumes at all but this one fits with my skin very well, anyway nowadays,it is really hard to find this perfume for me. i dunno if they stopped do it.
I sooo loved this perfume when I was younger. My mum had it when it came out and I used her perfume from time to time when I was a young teen.
I would not wear it now as the mystery is gone but I have recently rediscovered it in a drugstore and bought a bottle for my mum but the bottle was tiny...
Price-wise I am with my heroine Action:
I have found Joop Femme is a lot cheaper when you check the price per ml (check ebay as well!) but Joop Femme smells more complex despite the tiny price tag.
I am not too fond of aldehyde scents but still I like this Sabatini scent.
I used to wear this perfume about almost 20 years ago and remember that I felt great when I did! My husband liked it so much that he used to stole almost every day a few drops of it, to smell good too! It has power, during on my skin very long, and it's soft and kind and very feminine.
I'm thinking in bying it again, because in Brazil it's really easy to find it and it's not expensive, as well. Maybe...
OK, as for me, I liked this one from the first sniff (maybe Gabriela's personality itself made some influence as well) but hesitated about buying it for a long time.
The scent is rather strong - that is for sure. This point was the main cause of my doubts. The fragrance seemed me to suit only brunets. But the whole impression was quite positive - the smell is elegant (I fully agree with the "modern classic" definition) and at the same time bright and unusual. To be real, I hardly could distinguish any particular notes but conclude just that it is sweet but also fresh. I even had supposed that honey is included and was very surprised to be wrong about this. Should this exotic sweetness be caused by plentiful supply of flowers? Anyway it is delicious.
The positive point is that the scent stays fresh and uplifting in the base - that is what I tried to search in different perfumes, so Gabriela Sabatini turned to be a pleasant surprise for me!
By the way, when test Gabriela Sabatini I put just a small drop on my wrist, and the smell seemed so intense that I was afraid of what it should be like if spray it on the skin. But when I tried I found it actually soft enough even with 3-4 sprays.
P.S. My brother showed dislike for this frag - such a strange person! Although, I think the scent should appeal to the most men, but keep in mind that there are some exceptions...
Wauw Kittymoon you can find this one cheaper than Joop original??
I find this perfume quite expensive, especially if you look at the price per ml. But please let me know where you saw it so cheap!!
thanks!!

This is a good dupe for the classic JOOP it comes out nearly the same and is so much cheaper. Very heavy oily ambery scent on the drydown.
Just a verry fine nice perfum, it last forever.
It is a fantastic perfume!! Very smooth and exotic!
I had this fragrance maybe 20 years ago. It smelt different powerful, very sweet and oriental-exotic. It seemed like the scent of a powerful modern woman who decides her own life. It was heavy and now I wouldn't call it a classy scent, but at that time for me it was.
I also want to write some things about a perfume belonging to Gabriela Sabatini which does not appear here.
It was called CASCAYA and it appeared on the market in the early 90's. I remember this perfume because as I live in Romania which was until 1989 a comunist country we used to have only romanian or russian perfumes and this one was my very first foreign perfume.
it was light and inocent and I wished then that my bottle would never end.
But unfortunatelly it did and ever since then I was trying to find it but as they stop doing it, I can not find it anywhere.
did one of you use this perfume?
do you remember it?
I only had a mini bottle of this but i liked it alot, its a very feminine, warm and cozy fragrance. In my opinion its not heavy or sweet but i must say that i cant really describe the scent, its just nice. This perfume in a new bottle and i would buy it again. :P
I tested this perfume today. I love it. I think i will buy it in the near future. It smells very soft and lasting power is great.
I had it 10 years ago. At that time I liked it. It's sweet and all that I can remember is the vanilla.
I used to wear this like a hundred years ago and it's ironic cause now I just can't stand it! For those who don't like sweet fragrances, don't get even close. And you really don't have to put on much.
I have a liking for this perfum. Sometime I used their. They beautiful and strong smell of jasmin and flower of orange. Sometime there was innovatory perfume. They were and they are topping.
