The Visionary by Gap is a Aromatic fragrance for women and men. The Visionary was launched in 2007. The fragrance features caraway and geranium.
This is definitely a man's cologne. I can't see a woman wearing this. It actually smells really good woods and vetiver not sweet at all. The notes listed I could not smell at all. This perfume is not too young, I think is more in the 30+ category and more classic than not. It is not cloying or overpowering basically good all year round. I like it for my husband not sure why they label it unisex. The staying power is really good. I sprayed my hand and can't seem to get rid off the smell. If you see it at TJ Maxx is really inexpensive for a good quality scent totally worth it!
This is a simple and powerful EDT. Opening notes and powerful enough green and fresh. Geranium Middle notes dominate with a touch fully aromatic fougere . Base notes of vetiver with a sweet resin.
Can be used in any season. Ages range from 20 to 45, casual wear and meetings with friends, no romantic notes, a very pleasant aroma and energizing, a perfect image for office, although it tends a bit like a combination of letters a bit bohemian, not as "The Lover" by Gap where all the notes dominate newcomers. Duration in the upper skin to 7hrs.
sharp...i dont get it i think is going to be the first fragrance that i will give away to someone...i bought it at a very cheap price....but i dont know; it might be too visionary for me.
Don't let the simpleness of the bottle fool you it might look minimalistic but
the scent is more defined.
who says big things comes in small packages in this case it is might was well
the truth, in visionary we come across a rarity a two noted perfume made only of the notes of Geranium and Caraway it opens with a sour start of geranium then
dries with an esoteric feel of dry caraway reminiscent of frankincense burning in Greek and Russian Orthodox churches with gold lamented icons of
Christ saints and the virgin Mary while
a priest sings a plaintive hymn for the
fallen ones.
but there is not alot to say about this scent because of the simplicity of the
scent and sadly it does fade quickly.
The notes listed on the box are bluegrass, sun-dried geranium and frosted fennel. It is leaning toward the masculine end of unisex, but I like it: herbaceous and slightly smokey. I think it's interesting for the price.
this one has to drydown first! the opening has an{ODD}smell to say the least, but after that its wearable. not as good as original but itll work.
Loving The Original by GAP, I was tempted by the The Visionary. The name is great. The lasting power suberb. When it comes to the fragrance, it is bizarre and although the notes are just caraway and geranium, the scent is rather complicated and demanding. At first sniff I got a huge blow of concentrated caraway, which turns really masculine and heavy. But I am rather positive towards more masculine elements in the perfumes I use, so it is not a drawback for me. Then I got a strong smell of a Middle Ages wooden church. It is very intoxicating, but you just have to like that kind of scent, otherwise it will overpower you. I am still checking my response to it. Overall, I do not know how to qualify this EDT, but it is definitely a fragrance out of this world and rather difficult.
EDIT: I came home and had to take a compulsory early shower to remove the smell from me as it turned out too pungent and disturbing. Yeah, definitely try before you buy!
this one smells very masculine on me.
starts with green-herby notes, then the fresh green gives way to heavier herbs. very masculine notes.
the base is a bit similar to Gap's Natural, Visionary is heavier but not as strong as Natural. this one doesnt last as long as Natural on my skin.
There is this name you just cannot ignore, can you? So I sprayed it onto my wrists and the initial reaction was a little bit of a shock.
It comes on very strong and a little sour, nothing a gal would like to be reminded of. A few minutes later some of the sourness goes away, but the outcome isn't warm and sexy.
It IS very noticable and fresh, but very simple in a non-sophisticated way. It's not a powerful fragrance and not really a fun one, on me at least.
If you think of buying, try it before you do so.
