HORRIBLE! A very strange and unique scent though not a scent that will attract a compliment but rather a comment or thought of flat-out "why?"
Comfy, cozy white flowers. Sunlight. Nice silage and longevity.
I just found this at a Marshal's for 7.99. I thought, why not? I opened it up. It's perfect! For my bed sheets....
Not crazy about it. Too heavy on the musk, barely there citrus gives it a heavy, old lady perfume feeling to me. First time I tried it I washed it off after a few minutes.
I bought a large bottle thinking it would be a nice clean simple scent but will probably give this one away. Has something that gives me that headachey feel.
In 2 words: Hair spray !
Fragaria, I totally agree.
Velvet Bloom is not an alternative if you're looking for a dramatic or sophisticated perfume for the city. But if you want a soft companion to wear at home on the weekend this could be very nice. Reading a good book, potting plants, writing letters, or arranging your photo albums--that sort of quiet and pleasant pastimes. For spring cleaning or digging in the garden I'd rather use an energy booster such as 4711, another budget favorite.
The notes are few and well blended. A tiny bit of sweetness, fresh citrus and flowers kept together by the musk. It's light but not insignificant, friendly but not old-fashioned. Lasting power is OK; the bottle is big and it's quite affordable.
Velvet Bloom may also have a comforting or soothing quality that is quite rare. It could be suitable if you're not feeling well or taking care of someone in distress.
A very old lady I know is staying in a nursing home; Velvet Bloom would be the perfect fragrance for the staff there.
I can't believe there aren't more reviews! This is a very clean and light scent. Anyone that doesn't like heavy perfumes will love this...anyone!
