This has nothing in common with Royal Secret. While Royal Secret is somewhat heavy, and what I would call an "evening" fragrance, Royal Secret II is lighter; yet it still manages to stay warm. The patchouli notes aren't overbearing, and the jasmine is there for a long time; blending with the base notes in a slightly spicy yet still flowery fashion.
Violets are quite pronounced here; I get them soon after applying.
All in all, this is surprisingly good for the price, and the staying power is very good.
