This was a blind buy. I hugely admire Gloria Vanderbilt for the diverse and fasinating life she's lived. It was a bargain buy on ebay for 10 bucks! While I'm not a massive fan of vetiver or tonka bean ... abit too 1980s for me, I had hoped the geranium and violet would save the day. Unfortunetly not! Overall conclusion... It smells like it cost... Cheap!!

I had this right after it came out, about 10 years ago. I believe it's discontinued now, which is a shame.
Vanderbilt For Men is a modern and sophisticated smell, which is perfect for the colder months. It could be compared to Allure Homme or perhaps Boss Bottled (they have 3 base notes in common), allthough it's a little fresher/sharper in it's topnotes and maybe a bit more one-dimensional.
Good value for money though, since it's a pretty cheap perfume.
