L'Âme d'Un Héros Guerlain for men

The top notes are a little musty, and then it dries down as a musty citrus vetiver-green. Hard to describe, really!

It doesn't smell so much masculine to me as it does vintage, or from a different age. But perhaps I'm being influenced by the Guerlain story rather than the scent itself.

It's okay. It doesn't send me.

Sillage and longevity are not good... which is especially a negative at the premium price Guerlain is asking for this. There are more interesting and more masculine men's fragrances for a lot less money.

This creation returns in the newer style bottle a la Derby and the Lupins.

This is a great green mossy, slightly dark floral, citrusy and powdery fragrance. Masterfully put together, as to be expected by JPG.

It is a reliable and classy Guerlain fragrance for a Gentleman as well as a Lady.

I loved CORIOLAN when it came out back in 1999. It will always remind me of the SPA @ The Breakers, Florida for I worked there as an international exchange student. Lots of memories.

The scent is very green, herbaceous, chypre, mossy, leafy and "wet".
Vetiver and Patchouli give it its manly, natural and green character that at the time liked to smell but not on me for I thought I was too young for the scent at the time. I would still say that this frag is best suited for a well-situated man (not a youngster).

The product was initially a commercial failure, I think mainly because of the feminine shaped bottle (that I love and adore).

A very sophisticated, green and natural, calming fragrance (with a spicy Sage top note) that would be best suited for a gardener or landscaper...or someone who truly loves and worships nature.

This is the réédition of Coriolan.

A manly scent for a manly man. I love wearing this and pretending I am a damsel being swept off my feet by the manliest man ever wearing the manliest scent ever. A manly man scent. Did I mention it was manly?
