Halston Sheer Halston for women

Lilac was a bit overwhelming... not my favourite scent even in the garden. But that goes away quickly leaving the woodsy smell, not a great purchase, but wearable.

nice. i love halston classic in winter and this halston is great for all seasons. a toned down version of classic, but still with that spicy kick. not over-powering at all, just refreshing and clean smelling. reminds me a little of white linen but not as strong. lasting power is good too. 8 out of 10.

Used it and liked it better than the original.

Way better than the original Halston but this is very strong also. Sheer is just possibly a lighter scent than the original but it is strong too! I can't ware this anymore. The memories came and went with this scent and it is now a timecapsule for me. This stuff will get you noticed though.

Halston Sheer is a lovely, girly, fresh & fruity scent. It's not overwhelmingly or sickly fruity though and manages to strike the right balance between the fruitness and floral notes, making it a very lovely perfume.

It's very long-lasting on me and one spray can carry me through the day and night yet it's never overwhelming or heavy, just fresh and sweet smelling.

I'm very happy I found out about this perfume and absolutely love it. It's one of my favorites.

I, too, bought this unsniffed for $9.99 USD and opened it in the car. I had the original Halston 'way back when' and found it more than OK in fall & winter but too spicey for warm weather. This one, on the other hand, is PERFECT for warm weather.

Before I looked at the notes here I swear all I smelled was MELONS and was surprised to see sandalwood, pear and musk notes listed. Somehow they combine to make me think of the way packages of frozen melon balls (cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon) smell when you slice them open and they begin to thaw. Very, very refreshing!

Lasting power is pretty good, several hours on me. A friend noticed it on me and said she couldn't place the notes but it made her smile.

I'm happy with this.

I wish I could rave about how fabulous it smells, but I have something else that smells just like this - J Del Pozo's Halloween Freesia. The only distinct difference between the two thus far is that this is somewhat lighter and airier.

That aside, I really do like it. I bought a bottle of this unsniffed after a reviewer mentioned the prominence of the pear note, and I must agree, the pair is at the forefront... along with the lilac, and I *swear* there is some freesia in this. I can't pick out the apple blossom, but the musk and sandalwood back the juicier notes perfectly.

I've only had this on for half an hour thus far, so I can't comment on lasting power, but the sillage is modest. It stays somewhat close to the skin, and is very alluring. Happy I got this one, despite its similarities to another in my collection.


Edit: I reapplied this, and I changed my mind - wearing two sprays is MORE than enough. One spray and the scent is light, two sprays and it's like walking straight into a garden, with a considerable dose of musk and just a dash of pear to round it out. Now that I've applied more, I love it more, and it's lost its resemblance to J Del Pozo's fragrance. Give this a try!

Smells good but does anyone think that JLO may have copied Glow from this fragrance? Compare the packaging same colors and the bottle shape and the frosted glass.Also the scent is light and fresh like Glow.I think Jlo used to like this Sheer by Halston and wanted her own version!

just got a full size bottle today for 9.99 and I bought it unsniffed and I am quite pleased with this fragrance it is light fruity and soapy. I like the clean smell of a soapy fragrance I wouldn't buy this again but for 10 dollars I couldn't resist this purchase!

I enjoyed every drop of this perfume. It’s so nice, clean and comfortable but it’s not as flat and girlish as most of the floral-fruity fragrances. I smelled the juicy pear mostly but this note is very well balanced by the musk, so the scent isn’t too sweet. I can also detect a little sour note in it but this doesn’t bother my sense of smell.
Halston Sheer is strong but refreshing fragrance and I find it suitable for spring and summer season.
The only thing I don’t like – it’s impossible for me to find it again.

I had it but I really don't remember how it is...maybe is because is not the greatest as Sjanira said!
